Simple Summary: Environmental factors varying widely across altitudinal gradients contribute significantly to the intricate and diverse distribution patterns observed in insect communities. Investigating the diversity patterns in the grasshopper community along altitudinal gradients in Xizang is crucial for understanding broader trends in insect diversity. This study revealed a strong effect of altitude on grasshopper community diversity distribution in Xizang, showing that grasshopper species richness, Margalef richness index, Shannon–Wiener index, and Simpson dominance index decreased with an increase in altitude. The results of Pearson correlation analysis and hierarchical partitioning showed that temperature, moisture, and soil properties are closely related to the altitude distribution patterns of grasshopper communities. The key factors driving changes in grasshopper community diversity along altitudinal gradients include the mean annual temperature range, precipitation in the coldest season, and precipitation in the driest month. To summarize, the interplay between elevation and environmental variables significantly influences grasshopper community structure, distribution patterns, and diversity. To determine the grasshopper species composition, altitudinal distribution patterns, and their main drivers, we conducted a study in Xizang using 33 sample plots ranging from 600 to 4100 m. Grasshoppers were collected from August to October during 2020–2022 using sweep nets. A total of 1159 grasshoppers from six families, 28 genera, and 44 species were identified, with Omocestus cuonaensis and Aserratus eminifrontus as the dominant species, comprising 30.03% and 10.26% of total grasshoppers, respectively. The results showed that species richness and the Margalef richness index of grasshopper communities decreased significantly (p < 0.05) with increasing altitude, peaking at 1100–1600 m and lowest values at 2600–3100 m. Similarly, the Shannon–Wiener index and Simpson dominance index also decreased significantly (p < 0.05) with an increase in altitude, showing the highest and lowest values at 600–1100 m and 3100–3600 m, respectively. The Jaccard similarity coefficients among grasshopper communities varied from 0 to 0.40 across altitudinal gradients, indicating different degrees of dissimilarity. The results of Pearson correlation analyses showed that the Shannon–Wiener index, species richness, Margalef richness index, and Simpson dominance index of grasshopper communities were significantly negatively correlated with the temperature factors and soil pH, but they were significantly positively correlated with the moisture factors. Hierarchical partitioning identified annual mean temperature–daily difference, precipitation in the coldest season, and driest month precipitation as the primary factors explaining variance in grasshopper community diversity in Xizang. These findings provided greater insights into the mechanisms underlying insect community structure, distribution patterns, and diversity in Xizang ecosystems, including implications for the effects of global warming on insect communities. The high susceptibility of raspberries to softening restricts the development of the raspberry industry. The primary causes of fruit softening are the breakdown of components linked to the cell wall and the destruction of the cell wall structure itself. Polygalacturonase (PG), a key enzyme that catalyzes pectin degradation, plays a critical role in fruit softening. However, there are currently limited studies on the mechanism of PG genes in raspberry fruit softening. In this study, a PG gene, RiPG2, was isolated from raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.). 'Polka' fruits and tomato plants overexpressing RiPG2 were obtained by Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated leaf disc transformation to elucidate the role of RiPG2 in fruit softening. The total length of the RiPG2 gene is 1185 bp, and the gene encodes a total of 394 amino acids. The GFP fusion protein was expressed at the chloroplast under laser confocal microscopy, indicating that the RiPG2 protein is localized to the chloroplasts. Phenotypic analysis revealed that the fruit firmness of three strains was considerably less than that of controls, but PG enzyme activity was increased. Overexpression of RiPG2 altered the content of cell wall components, with an increase in water-soluble pectin (WSP) and ion-bound pectin (ISP) but a decrease in protopectin, cellulose, hemicellulose, and covalently bound pectin (CSP). In addition, RiPG2 positively regulated the expression of cell wall metabolism-related genes such as SlEXP1, SlTBG4, SlXTH5, and SlPL. These results suggest that the RiPG2 gene regulates the structure and composition of the cell wall and acts synergistically with other cell wall metabolism-related genes to promote fruit softening. The rotor loss of rare earth permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) affects the efficiency and reliability of the motor and is an important research direction of rare earth permanent magnet synchronous motors. In this paper, the influence of rotational speed on the loss of the rotor core and the permanent magnet is analyzed through the analysis of the motor magnetic field and rotor loss calculation. Specifically, with the increase in rotational speed, the weak magnetic current increases, the amplitude of flux density change in the rotor core decreases, and the loss of the rotor core also decreases. The greater the influence of the harmonic current magnetic field on the outside of the rotor, the greater the loss. The core loss on the rotor is mainly distributed on the outside of the rotor. For further engineering applications, this paper analyzes the loss composition of three kinds of motors with different rotor structures and judges the optimal scheme based on the minimum loss. Finally, the correctness of this research is verified by comparing the experimental and simulation results of two kinds of motors with different rotor structures. The research content of this paper can provide a reference for the loss analysis and optimization and rotor structure selection of rare earth permanent magnet synchronous motor rotor design. The direct selective conversion of ethanol to butadiene (ETB) is a competitive and environmentally friendly process compared to the traditional crude cracking route. The acid–base properties of catalysts are crucial for the direct ETB process. Herein, we report a rationally designed multifunctional lignin-derived carbon-modulated ZnZr/SiO2 (L-ZnZr/SiO2) catalyst with suitable acid–base properties for the direct ETB reaction. A variety of characterization techniques are employed to investigate the relationship between the acid–base properties and catalytic performance of the multifunctional lignin-modulated ZnZr/SiO2 catalysts. The results revealed that the rationally additional lignin-modulated carbon enhances both the acidity and basicity of the ZnZr/SiO2 catalysts, providing a suitable acid–base ratio that boosts the direct ETB reactivity. Meanwhile, the 1% L-ZnZr/SiO2 catalyst possessed ethanol conversion and butadiene selectivity as high as 98.4% and 55.5%, respectively, and exhibited excellent catalytic stability. Discharged slag not only occupies a large amount of land for disposal, but also causes serious environmental pollution. The use of alkali-activated slag (AAS) instead of cement as a soil-stabilization agent is beneficial for industrial waste disposal and energy conservation, which complies with the concept of green and low-carbon sustainable development in the construction industry. In this study, the compressive strength, water permeability coefficient, chloride migration coefficient and sulfate resistance of alkali-activated slag-stabilized soil (AASS) were evaluated, and compared with those of cement-stabilized soil (CSS). The hydrated crystalline phases and microscopic pore structures were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) tests, respectively. The results indicate that, compared with CSS, AASS exhibits a higher compressive strength, lower water permeability, chloride migration coefficient and better resistance to sulfate attack, with the optimum dosage higher than 10 wt.%. The results of the MIP analysis show that the addition of AAS reduces the porosity by 6.47%. The combined use of soil and AAS proves to be a viable and sustainable method of waste utilization and carbon emission reduction in the construction industry, which provides a practical path towards carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. At present, there are many excellent cultivars of raspberry worldwide with different fruit colors, such as yellow, red, purple and black. Anthocyanin accumulation is responsible for flower and fruit coloration in plants. Anthocyanins belong to flavonoids which are natural pigments widely distributed in plants. The MYB transcription factor (TF) plays a vital regulatory role in the metabolic pathway of anthocyanins. Here, RoMYB10, an R2R3-MYB in black raspberry (Rubus occidentalis L.), was isolated. The basic physical and chemical properties, conserved motif distribution, evolutionary relationship and subcellular localization were analyzed for the RoMYB10 encoded amino acid sequence. The contents of anthocyanin were determined in four different colored raspberry fruits by high-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS). The expression levels of MYB10 genes in various tissues and fruits at different developmental stages of the four different colored raspberries were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR). The results showed that the contents of anthocyanin and the expression levels of the MYB10 gene were the highest in black raspberry. Moreover, the expression of MYB10 in the fruit was significantly higher than in other tissues, especially in ripe and mottled fruits. When ectopic overexpression of RoMYB10 occurred in tobacco, the expression levels of the RoMYB10 gene and total anthocyanin contents in transgenic tobacco plants were significantly higher than those in wild-type (WT) plants. In addition, overexpression of RoMYB10 up-regulated the key genes in the anthocyanin biosynthesis, such as NtCHS, NtCHI, NtF3H, NtANS and NtUFGT. Our study suggests that RoMYB10 is involved in the regulating of anthocyanin biosynthesis in raspberry and has potential as a molecular tool for manipulating biosynthesis of anthocyanins in fruits using metabolic engineering. The direct CO2 Fischer–Tropsch synthesis (CO2-FTS) process has been proven as one of the indispensable and effective routes in CO2 utilization and transformation. Herein, we present a core-shell structured Na/Fe@Co bimetallic catalyst to boost CO2 conversion and light hydrocarbon (C2 to C4) selectivity, as well as inhibit the selectivity of CO. Compared to the Na/Fe catalyst, our Na/Fe@CoCo-3 catalyst enabled 50.3% CO2 conversion, 40.1% selectivity of light hydrocarbons (C2-C4) in all hydrocarbon products and a high olefin-to-paraffin ratio (O/P) of 7.5 at 330 °C and 3.0 MPa. Through the characterization analyses, the introduction of CoCo Prussian Blue Analog (CoCo PBA) not only increased the reducibility of iron oxide (Fe2O3 to Fe3O4), accelerated the formation of iron carbide (FexCy), but also adjusted the surface basic properties of catalysts. Moreover, the trace Co atoms acted as a second active center in the CO2-FTS process for heightening light hydrocarbon synthesis from CO hydrogenation. This study investigated the effect of layered double hydroxides (LDHs) on the deterioration process of cement paste in the sulfate environment. Cement pastes with the addition of original and calcined LDHs at 2.5 wt.% and 5.0 wt.% of cement were exposed to Na2SO4 solution for 360 days. The macroscopic performance of the cement paste was assessed based on mass variation, porosity, compressive strength, and content of sulfate ions. Furthermore, the microhardness, microstructures, and composition of the degraded pastes were examined using Vickers hardness (HV), mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The results indicate that cement paste incorporated with LDHs can mitigate the corrosion caused by sulfate effectively, especially in the case of calcined LDHs (C-LDHs), which primarily increase the adsorption of sulfate. Compared with the control specimen, the 180 d compressive strength loss ratio of specimens with 2.5 wt.% and 5.0 wt.% of C-LDHs decreased by 63.66% and 80.51%, respectively. Moreover, LDHs can reduce the amount of ettringite crystals, densify the microstructure, and refine the pore structure to mitigate the cement paste's sulfate corrosion significantly. Compared with the control specimen, the 180 d harmful pore volume fraction of specimens laced with 2.5 wt.% and 5.0 wt.% C-LDHs decreased by 43.77% and 54.51%, respectively. In terms of the content of C-LDHs, an optimal content of C-LDHs could ensure the dominant effect of adsorption, while excessive C-LDHs could refine pores. In addition, Vickers hardness has an excellent correlation with compressive strength, which could precisely predict the compressive strength. Moreover, by combining the Vickers hardness distribution and content distribution of sulfate ions, the cross-section of the paste could be classified into four regions to evaluate the deterioration process accurately: the degraded zone, the strengthened zone, the invaded zone, and the intact zone. In this study, the influence of slot opening on the leakage reactance, power factors, winding current, and air gap flux density, as well as other parameters of the surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor driven by an inverter is analyzed using the two-dimensional time-step finite element method. Thus, the law of permanent magnet power loss caused by slot opening under PWM qa obtained. The results show that the leakage reactance of the motor increased when the slot opening decreased from 7 mm to 2 mm. Then, the armature ripple current caused by the inverter was found to be suppressed well, and the high harmonic current was filtered well. This reduced the amplitude of the high-order harmonic of the air gap flux density, and the permanent magnet power loss was reduced by nearly 75%. Finally, two prototypes with different slot openings were tested for permanent magnet temperature rise, which verified the analysis method and calculation results proven in this paper. CBF transcription factors (TFs) are key regulators of plant stress tolerance and play an integral role in plant tolerance to adverse growth environments. However, in the current research situation, there are few reports on the response of the CBF gene to Begonia stress. Therefore, this experiment investigated a novel CBF TF gene, named MbCBF2, which was isolated from M. baccata seedlings. According to the subcellular localization results, the MbCBF2 protein was located in the nucleus. In addition, the expression level of MbCBF2 was higher in new leaves and roots under low-temperature and high-salt induction. After the introduction of MbCBF2 into Arabidopsis thaliana, the adaptability of transgenic A. thaliana to cold and high-salt environments was significantly enhanced. In addition, the high expression of MbCBF2 can also change many physiological indicators in transgenic A. thaliana, such as increased chlorophyll and proline content, superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT) activity, and reduced malondialdehyde (MDA) content. Therefore, it can be seen from the above results that MbCBF2 can positively regulate the response of A. thaliana to low-temperature and osmotic stress. In addition, MbCBF2 can also regulate the expression of its downstream genes in transgenic lines. It can not only positively regulate the expression of the downstream key genes AtCOR15a, AtERD10, AtRD29a/b and AtCOR6.6/47, related to cold stress at low temperatures, but can also positively regulate the expression of the downstream key genes AtNCED3, AtCAT1, AtP5CS, AtPIF1/4 and AtSnRK2.4, related to salt stress. The MYB transcription factor (TF) family is one of the largest transcription families in plants, which is widely involved in the responses of plants to biotic and abiotic stresses, as well as plant growth, development, and metabolic regulation. In the present study, a new MYB TF gene, MbMYB108, from Malus baccata (L.) Borkh, was identified and characterized. The open reading frame (ORF) of MbMYB108 was found to be 903 bp, encoding 300 amino acids. Sequence alignment results and predictions of the protein structure indicated that the MbMYB108 protein contained the conserved MYB domain. Subcellular localization showed that MbMYB108 was localized to the nucleus. The expression of MbMYB108 was enriched in young and mature leaves, and was highly affected by cold and drought treatments in M. baccata seedlings. When MbMYB108 was introduced into Arabidopsis thaliana, it greatly increased the cold and drought tolerances in the transgenic plant. Increased expression of MbMYB108 in transgenic A. thaliana also resulted in higher activities of peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT), higher contents of proline and chlorophyll, while malondialdehyde (MDA) content and relative conductivity were lower, especially in response to cold and drought stresses. Therefore, these results suggest that MbMYB108 probably plays an important role in the response to cold and drought stresses in A. thaliana by enhancing the scavenging capability for reactive oxygen species (ROS). This paper proposes a computationally efficient approach for mapping permanent magnet (PM) power loss in permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs). The PM loss mapping method here uses time-step finite element analysis (FEA) to determine the function parameters representing the loss variation with speed (frequency), amplitude modulation ratio, carrier ratio, and stator current and is suitable for rapid evaluation of machine performance over the entire torque–speed envelope. The PM loss can be accurately mapped across the full operational envelope, including the field-weakened mode. The loss mapping procedure takes into account the equivalent resistivity of axial segmentation of the PM array calculated by three-dimensional (3-D) FEA. The effect of temperature on the PM loss is also considered. The proposed methodology is validated on two surface-mounted PMSM designs. The results of the loss mapping procedure are consistent with those from direct 3-D finite element prediction and experimental results of PM power loss at each operating point of the machine. Permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) are widely used in electric vehicles due to their high power density, high efficiency, etc. Core losses account for a significant component of the total loss in PMSMs. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully consider it when designing PMSMs according to actual scientific research project applications. This paper extracts the characteristic operating points of the PMSMs under different operating conditions at different speeds. Then a harmonic analysis of air-gap flux density, phase current, core loss was completed, and detailed comparative analysis was performed. A novel method for comprehensively analyzing the stator core loss of PMSMs for vehicles is proposed, which reveals the law of the core loss of the PMSM under Maximum-Torque-Per-Ampere (MTPA) and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM). The method was verified by a prototype experiment where the actual core loss of PMSMs was measured to verify the correctness of the method. Walking error has been problematic for pulsed LiDAR based on a single threshold comparator. Traditionally, walk error must be suppressed by some time discrimination methods with extremely complex electronic circuits and high costs. In this paper, we propose a compact and flexible method for reducing walk error and achieving distance-intensity imaging. A single threshold comparator and commercial time digital converter chip are designed to measure the laser pulse's time of flight and pulse width. In order to obtain first-class measurement accuracy, we designed a specific pulse width correction method based on the Kalman filter to correct the laser recording time, significantly reducing the ranging walk error by echo intensity fluctuation. In addition, the pulse width obtained by our method, which is a recording of the laser intensity, is conducive to target identification. The experiment results verified plane point clouds of various targets obtained by the proposed method with a plane flatness less than 0.34. The novel contribution of the study is to provide a highly integrated and cost-effective solution for the realization of high-precision ranging and multi-dimensional detection by pulsed LiDAR. In the natural environment, plants often face unfavorable factors such as drought, cold, and freezing, which affect their growth and yield. The MYB (v-myb avian myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog) transcription factor family is widely involved in plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. In this study, Malus baccata (L.) Borkh was used as the research material, and a gene MbMYB4 of the MYB family was cloned from it. The open reading frame (ORF) of MbMYB4 was found to be 762 bp, encoding 253 amino acids; sequence alignment results and predictions of the protein structure indicated that the MbMYB4 protein contained the conserved MYB domain. Subcellular localization showed that MbMYB4 was localized in the nucleus. In addition, the use of quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) technology found that the expression of MbMYB4 was enriched in the young leaf and root, and it was highly affected by cold and drought treatments in M. baccata seedlings. When MbMYB4 was introduced into Arabidopsis thaliana, it greatly increased the cold and drought tolerance in the transgenic plant. Under cold and drought stresses, the proline and chlorophyll content, and peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT) activities of transgenic A. thaliana increased significantly, and the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) and the relative conductivity decreased significantly, indicating that the plasma membrane damage of transgenic A. thaliana was lesser. Optical phased arrays (OPAs) are essential optical elements in applications that require the ability to manipulate the light-wavefront, such as beam focusing and light steering. To miniaturize the optical components, active metasurfaces, especially graphene metasurfaces, are used as competent alternatives. However, the metasurface cannot achieve strong resonance effect and phase control function in the mid-infrared region only relying on a single-layer graphene. Here we present a graphene-metal hybrid metasurface that can generate a specific phase or a continuous sweep in the range of a 275°-based single-layer graphene structure. A key feature of our design is that the phase adjustment mainly depends on the combination mechanism of resonance intensity and frequency modulation. An all-solid-state, electrically tunable, and reflective OPA is designed by applying the bias voltage to a different pixel metasurface. The simulation results show that the maximum deflection angle of the OPA can reach 42.716°, and the angular resolution can reach 0.62°. We report on a self-adaptive waveform centroid algorithm that combines the selection of double-scale data and the intensity-weighted (DSIW) method for accurate LiDAR distance–intensity imaging. A time window is set to adaptively select the effective data. At the same time, the intensity-weighted method can reduce the influence of sharp noise on the calculation. The horizontal and vertical coordinates of the centroid point obtained by the proposed algorithm are utilized to record the distance and echo intensity information, respectively. The proposed algorithm was experimentally tested, achieving an average ranging error of less than 0.3 ns under the various noise conditions in the listed tests, thus exerting better precision compared to the digital constant fraction discriminator (DCFD) algorithm, peak (PK) algorithm, Gauss fitting (GF) algorithm, and traditional waveform centroid (TC) algorithm. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm is fairly robust, with remarkably successful ranging rates of above 97% in all tests in this paper. Furthermore, the laser echo intensity measured by the proposed algorithm was proved to be robust to noise and to work in accordance with the transmission characteristics of LiDAR. Finally, we provide a distance–intensity point cloud image calibrated by our algorithm. Herein, we synthesize the Ni-doped Mo2C catalysts by a one-pot preparation method to illuminate the effect of the number of carbon atoms in Mo2C lattice on CO hydrogenation to mixed alcohol. The Ni doping inhibits the agglomeration of Mo2C crystals into large particles and the surface carbon deposition, which increase the active surface area. In addition, the interaction between Ni and Mo increases the electron cloud density of Mo species and promotes the non-dissociative adsorption and insertion of CO. Especially, our results indicate that with the increase of the nickel content, the number of carbon atoms in Mo2C lattice on the surface of the catalyst shows a volcano type variation. The low carbon content induces the formation of coordination unsaturated molybdenum species which exhibit the higher catalytic activity and mixed alcohol selectivity than other molybdenum species. Among the catalysts, the MC-Ni-1.5 catalyst with Ni/Mo molar ratio of 1.5:8.5, which has the largest amount of coordination unsaturated molybdenum species, shows the highest space-time yield of mixed alcohols, which is three times higher than that of the Mo2C catalyst. Molybdenum-zeolite catalysts always suffer from severe carbon deposition and rapid deactivation in the methane dehydroaromatization (MDA) process. Herein, we present a strategy that controls spatial distance between Mo species and HMCM-22 zeolite over Mo/HMCM-22 catalysts, to inhibit the severe carbon deposition. Our characterization analyses demonstrate that the Mo/HMCM-22 catalysts possess the same active components, but the spatial distance plays a key role in determining product selectivity in the MDA process. The MDA performance reveals that Mo/HMCM-22-MM (mechanical milling) catalyst, with a medium spatial distance between Mo species and HMCM-22 zeolite, significantly inhibits carbon deposition and produces high selectivity to benzene. This work shows that spatial distance between molybdenum and zeolite is an important property for suppressing carbon deposition and improving benzene selectivity in MDA process. Apple, as one of the most important economic forest tree species, is widely grown in the world. Abiotic stress, such as low temperature and high salt, affect apple growth and development. Ethylene response factors (ERFs) are widely involved in the responses of plants to biotic and abiotic stresses. In this study, a new ethylene response factor gene was isolated from Malus baccata (L.) Borkh and designated as MbERF11. The MbERF11 gene encoded a protein of 160 amino acid residues with a theoretical isoelectric point of 9.27 and a predicated molecular mass of 17.97 kDa. Subcellular localization showed that MbERF11 was localized to the nucleus. The expression of MbERF11 was enriched in root and stem, and was highly affected by cold, salt, and ethylene treatments in M. baccata seedlings. When MbERF11 was introduced into Arabidopsis thaliana, it greatly increased the cold and salt tolerance in transgenic plant. Increased expression of MbERF11 in transgenic A. thaliana also resulted in higher activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), and catalase (CAT), higher contents of proline and chlorophyll, while malondialdehyde (MDA) content was lower, especially in response to cold and salt stress. Therefore, these results suggest that MbERF11 probably plays an important role in the response to cold and salt stress in Arabidopsis by enhancing the scavenging capability for reactive oxygen species (ROS). NAC (no apical meristem (NAM), Arabidopsis thaliana transcription activation factor (ATAF1/2) and cup shaped cotyledon (CUC2)) transcription factors play crucial roles in plant development and stress responses. Nevertheless, to date, only a few reports regarding stress-related NAC genes are available in Malus baccata (L.) Borkh. In this study, the transcription factor MbNAC25 in M. baccata was isolated as a member of the plant-specific NAC family that regulates stress responses. Expression of MbNAC25 was induced by abiotic stresses such as drought, cold, high salinity and heat. The ORF of MbNAC25 is 1122 bp, encodes 373 amino acids and subcellular localization showed that MbNAC25 protein was localized in the nucleus. In addition, MbNAC25 was highly expressed in new leaves and stems using real-time PCR. To analyze the function of MbNAC25 in plants, we generated transgenic Arabidopsis plants that overexpressed MbNAC25. Under low-temperature stress (4 °C) and high-salt stress (200 mM NaCl), plants overexpressing MbNAC25 enhanced tolerance against cold and drought salinity conferring a higher survival rate than that of wild-type (WT). Correspondingly, the chlorophyll content, proline content, the activities of antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT) were significantly increased, while malondialdehyde (MDA) content was lower. These results indicated that the overexpression of MbNAC25 in Arabidopsis plants improved the tolerance to cold and salinity stress via enhanced scavenging capability of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Two types of amorphous ZrO2 (am-ZrO2) catalysts were prepared by different co-precipitation/reflux digestion methods (with ethylenediamine and ammonia as the precipitant respectively). Then, copper and potassium were introduced for modifying ZrO2 via an impregnation method to enhance the catalytic performance. The obtained catalysts were further characterized by means of Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface areas (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), H2-temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR), and In situ diffuse reflectance infrared spectroscopy (in situ DRIFTS). CO hydrogenation experiments were performed in a fixed-bed reactor for isobutanol synthesis. Great differences were observed on the distribution of alcohols over the two types of ZrO2 catalysts, which were promoted with the same content of Cu and K. The selectivity of isobutanol on K-CuZrO2 (ammonia as precipitant, A-KCZ) was three times higher than that on K-CuZrO2 (ethylenediamine as precipitant, E-KCZ). The characterization results indicated that the A-KCZ catalyst supplied more active hydroxyls (isolated hydroxyls) for anchoring and dispersing Cu. More importantly, it was found that bicarbonate species were formed, which were ascribed as important C1 species for isobutanol formation on the A-KCZ catalyst surface. These C1 intermediates had relatively stronger adsorption strength than those adsorbed on the E-KCZ catalyst, indicating that the bicarbonate species on the A-KCZ catalyst had a longer residence time for further carbon chain growth. Therefore, the selectivity of isobutanol was greatly enhanced. These findings would extend the horizontal of direct alcohols synthesis from syngas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, a tunable dielectric metamaterial absorber with temperature-based vanadium dioxide (VO2) is proposed. In contrast to previous studies, both the metal phase of VO2 and the semiconductor phase are applied to manipulate the Mie resonant modes in the dielectric cubes. By embedding VO2 in the main resonant structure, the control over Mie resonant modes in dielectric metamaterials is realized. Each resonant mode is analyzed through field distribution and explains why the phase switch of VO2 could affect the absorbance spectrum. This use of tunable materials could create another new methodology for the manipulation of the Mie resonance-based dielectric cubes and make them closer in essence to isotropic metamaterials. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar is playing an important role in military and civilian fields. However, radio frequency (RF) multi-links have a large data-processing capacity and the system is bulky and complex. Therefore, a single-link RF MIMO has been the subject of heated discussed in recent years. Single-link technology shares the same regularity with that of the multi-link MIMO system, which makes the MIMO system simpler in structure without affecting its performance. In this study, a 2 × 2 array single RF link MIMO radar at X band was designed by combining MIMO radar with the concept of a single RF link in the communication field, and a simulation platform for studying its properties was established using SystemVue software. The whole system is controlled by the exclusive OR (XOR) operation results of two transmission signals, and one signal can control the antenna-switching signal to form a variety of orthogonal bases. The received two original signals are demodulated and the control signals enter the corresponding matched filters. The signal is processed by fast Fourier transformation (FFT) and the cell-averaging constant false alarm rate algorithm (CA-CFAR) is used to judge the signal. For multiple measurements, the Monte Carlo method was adopted to obtain its mean value as the final result. Compared with the traditional MIMO radar performance in acquiring the target position, speed, and detection probability, the results show that the computation time can be greatly reduced (due to decrease in the number of links in MIMO radar system) without any deterioration in the MIMO radar performance.
