Fast detection of the trajectory is the key point to improve the further emergency proposal. Especially for ultra-long highway, prompt detection is labor-intensive. However, automatic detection relies on the accuracy and speed of vehicle detection, and tracking. In multi-camera surveillance system for ultra-long highways, it is often difficult to capture the same vehicle without intervals, which makes vehicle re-recognition crucial as well. In this paper, we present a framework that includes vehicle detection and tracking using improved DeepSORT, vehicle re-identification, feature extraction based on trajectory rules, and behavior recognition based on trajectory analysis. In particular, we design a network architecture based on DeepSORT with YOLOv5s to address the need for real-time vehicle detection and tracking in real-world traffic management. We further design an attribute recognition module to generate matching individuality attributes for vehicles to improve vehicle re-identification performance under multiple neighboring cameras. Besides, the use of bidirectional LSTM improves the accuracy of trajectory prediction, demonstrating its robustness to noise and fluctuations. The proposed model has a high advantage from the cumulative matching characteristic (CMC) curve shown and even improves above 15.38% compared to other state-of-the-art methods. The model developed on the local highway vehicle dataset is comprehensively evaluated, including abnormal trajectory recognition, lane change detection, and speed anomaly recognition. Whisper speaker recognition (WSR) has received extensive attention from researchers in recent years, and it plays an important role in medical, judicial, and other fields. Among them, the establishment of a whisper dataset is very important for the study of WSR. However, the existing whisper dataset suffers from the problems of a small number of speakers, short speech duration, and lack of neutral speech with the same-text as the whispered speech in the same dataset. To address this issue, we present Whisper40, a multi-person Chinese WSR dataset containing same-text neutral speech spanning around 655.90 min sourced from volunteers. In addition, we use the current state-of-the-art speaker recognition model to build a WSR baseline system and combine the idea of transfer learning for pre-training the speaker recognition model using neutral speech datasets and transfer the empirical knowledge of specific network layers to the WSR system. The Whisper40 and CHAINs datasets are then used to fine-tune the model with transferred specific layers. The experimental results show that the Whisper40 dataset is practical, and the time delay neural network (TDNN) model performs well in both the same/cross-scene experiments. MEMS accelerometers are significantly impacted by temperature and noise, leading to a considerable compromise in their accuracy. In response to this challenge, we propose a parallel denoising and temperature compensation fusion algorithm for MEMS accelerometers based on RLMD-SE-TFPF and GRU-attention. Firstly, we utilize robust local mean decomposition (RLMD) to decompose the output signal of the accelerometer into a series of product function (PF) signals and a residual signal. Secondly, we employ sample entropy (SE) to classify the decomposed signals, categorizing them into noise segments, mixed segments, and temperature drift segments. Next, we utilize the time-frequency peak filtering (TFPF) algorithm with varying window lengths to separately denoise the noise and mixed signal segments, enabling subsequent signal reconstruction and training. Considering the strong inertia of the temperature signal, we innovatively introduce the accelerometer's output time series as the model input when training the temperature compensation model. We incorporate gated recurrent unit (GRU) and attention modules, proposing a novel GRU-MLP-attention model (GMAN) architecture. Simulation experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed fusion algorithm. After processing the accelerometer output signal through the RLMD-SE-TFPF denoising algorithm and the GMAN temperature drift compensation model, the acceleration random walk is reduced by 96.11 % , with values of 0.23032 g/h / Hz for the original accelerometer output signal and 0.00895695 g/h / Hz for the processed signal. Uncertain emergency events are inevitable and occur unpredictably on the highway. Emergencies with lane capacity drops cause local congestion and can even cause a second accident if the response is not timely. To address this problem, a self-triggered variable speed limit (VSL) intelligent decision-making control strategy based on the improved deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) algorithm is proposed, which can eliminate or alleviate congestion in a timely manner. The action noise parameter is introduced to improve exploration efficiency and stability in the early stage of the algorithm training and then maximizes differential traffic flow as the control objective, taking the real-time traffic state as the input. The reward function is constructed to explore the values of the speed limit. The results show that in terms of safety, under different traffic flow levels, the proposed strategy has improved by over 28.30% compared to other methods. In terms of efficiency, except for being inferior to the no-control condition during low-traffic-flow conditions, our strategy has improved over 7.21% compared to the others. The skin of Trachinotus ovatus is a crucial component of the mucosal immune system and serves as the primary site of infection by Cryptocaryon irritans. In order to investigate the significant role of skin in C. irritans infection, a comprehensive transcriptome analysis was conducted on skin tissues from the infection group, infection-adjacent group, and infection group compared with the infection-adjacent group (ATT_vs_PER, ADJ_vs_PER, ATT_vs_ADJ). This study identified differentially expressed long non-coding RNAs (DE lncRNAs), microRNAs (DE miRNAs), and differentially expressed genes (DEGs). The prediction of lncRNA target genes was accomplished by utilizing positional relationship (co-location) and expression correlation (co-expression) with protein-coding genes. Subsequently, functional enrichment analysis was conducted on the target genes of differentially expressed lncRNAs, revealing their involvement in signaling pathways such as tight junction, MAPK, and cell adhesion molecules. This study describes the regulatory network of lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA in T. ovatus skin tissue infected with C. irritans. Functional prediction analysis showed that differentially expressed lncRNA and miRNA may regulate the expression of immune genes such as interleukin-8 (il8) to resist the infection of C. irritans. Conducting additional research on these non-coding RNAs will facilitate a deeper understanding of their immune regulatory function in T. ovatus during C. irritans infection. The study of non-coding RNA in this study laid a foundation for revealing the molecular mechanism of the immune system of T. ovatus to respond to the infection of C. irritans. Simple Summary: The sea urchin (Heliocidaris crassispina) is an ecologically important invertebrate in structuring marine benthic communities. Most dwell within intertidal regions, rendering them highly susceptible to elevated artificial light at night. However, their potential acclimation to artificial light exposure remains largely unexplored. This study investigates the changes of prolonged artificial light pollution on the fitness-related traits of sea urchins. Following a six-week exposure to artificial light at night, survival remained unaffected, while behavioral responses exhibited slower reactions. Concurrently, growth inhibition was observed in sea urchins, which might be attributed to reduced mouthparts weight and decreased food consumption. This study also revealed that sea urchin gonads are more susceptible to artificial light than guts. Pax6 gene expression may serve as a sensitive indicator to assess the impact on the photosensitive system of sea urchins. These results increase our understanding of the effects of artificial light at night on sea urchins and provide valuable information about coastal animals' safety. Limited data are available regarding the effects of elevated coastal artificial light at night (ALAN) on intertidal echinoderms. In this study, we investigated the behavioral, morphological, and physiological responses of the sea urchin (Heliocidaris crassispina) after continuous exposure to ALAN at light intensities of 0.1, 300, and 600 Lux for 6 weeks. Our findings revealed that ALAN at 300 Lux substantially reduced food consumption, Lantern weight, and gonadosomatic index (GSI). On the other hand, ALAN at 600 Lux notably prolonged the righting and covering response times and elevated the 5-HIAA/5-HT ratio, while concurrently decreasing food consumption, body weight, Lantern weight, GSI, and Pax6 gene expression. These results indicated that continuous exposure to ALAN could cause an adverse effect on fitness-related traits, including behavioral responses, growth, reproductive performance, and photoreception of sea urchins. The complementary field-effect transistor (CFET) with N-type FET (NFET) stacked on P-type FET (PFET) is a promising device structure based on gate-all-around FET (GAAFET). Because of the high-density stacked structure, the self-heating effect (SHE) becomes more and more severe. Buried thermal rail (BTR) technology on top of the buried power rail (BPR) process is proposed to improve heat dissipation. Through a systematical 3D Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) simulation, compared to traditional CFET and CFET with BPR only, the thermal resistance ( R t h ) of CFET can be significantly reduced with BTR technology, while the drive capability is also improved. Furthermore, based on the proposed BTR technology, different power delivery structures of top-VDD–top-VSS (TDTS), bottom-VDD–bottom-VSS (BDBS), and bottom-VDD–top-VSS (BDTS) were investigated in terms of electrothermal and parasitic characteristics. Simple Summary: Apostichopus japonicus is a temperate marine invertebrate and an economically important aquatic echinoderm species in China. As a benthic organism, sea cucumbers feed on small benthic particulate matter and are easily affected by pollutants. Therefore, for conservation purposes, it is important to elucidate the effects of specific pollutants on these animals. Bisphenol A (BPA) has been identified as an endocrine disruptor that functions as an estrogen analog and typically causes reproductive toxicity by interfering with the endocrine system. We identified the G protein-coupled estrogen receptor 1 in A. japonicus and found that both BPA and estradiol could activate the estrogen-receptor-mediated mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway. Using biological approaches, we have confirmed the estrogen-analog bioactivity of BPA on sea cucumbers by direct interaction with the estrogen receptor. We also determined that BPA affects the reproduction of sea cucumbers by metabolic disruption in ovary tissue. To comparatively analyze the reproductive effects of estradiol (E2) and BPA on sea cucumbers, we identified a G protein-coupled estrogen receptor 1 (GPER1) in A. japonicus and investigated its effects on reproduction. The results showed that BPA and E2 exposure activated A. japonicus AjGPER1, thereby mediating the mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathways. High-level expression of AjGPER1 in the ovarian tissue was confirmed by qPCR. Furthermore, metabolic changes were induced by 100 nM (22.83 μg/L) BPA exposure in the ovarian tissue, leading to a notable increase in the activities of trehalase and phosphofructokinase. Overall, our findings suggest that AjGPER1 is directly activated by BPA and affects sea cucumber reproduction by disrupting ovarian tissue metabolism, suggesting that marine pollutants pose a threat to the conservation of sea cucumber resources. In this paper, a novel scheme for source/drain-first (S/D-first) full bottom dielectric isolation (BDI), i.e., Full BDI_Last, with integration of a sacrificial Si0.5Ge0.5 layer was proposed and demonstrated in a stacked Si nanosheet gate-all-around (NS-GAA) device structure using TCAD simulations. The proposed full BDI scheme flow is compatible with the main process flow of NS-GAA transistor fabrication and provides a large window for process fluctuations, such as the thickness of the S/D recess. It is an ingenious solution to insert the dielectric material under the source, drain and gate regions to remove the parasitic channel. Moreover, because the S/D-first scheme decreases the problem of high-quality S/D epitaxy, the innovative fabrication scheme introduces full BDI formation after S/D epitaxy to mitigate the difficulty of providing stress engineering in the full BDI formation before S/D epitaxy (Full BDI_First). The electrical performance of Full BDI_Last is demonstrated by a 4.78-fold increase in the drive current compared to Full BDI_First. Furthermore, compared to traditional punch through stoppers (PTSs), the proposed Full BDI_Last technology could potentially provide an improved short channel behavior and good immunity against parasitic gate capacitance in NS-GAA devices. For the assessed inverter ring oscillator (RO), applying the Full BDI_Last scheme allows the operating speed to be increased by 15.2% and 6.2% at the same power, or alternatively enables an 18.9% and 6.8% lower power consumption at the same speed compared with the PTS and Full BDI_First schemes, respectively. The observations confirm that the novel Full BDI_Last scheme incorporated into an NS-GAA device can be utilized to enable superior characteristics to benefit the performance of integrated circuits. Surface acoustic wave (SAW) strain sensors fabricated on piezoelectric substrates have attracted considerable attention due to their attractive features such as passive wireless sensing ability, simple signal processing, high sensitivity, compact size and robustness. To meet the needs of various functioning situations, it is desirable to identify the factors that affect the performance of the SAW devices. In this work, we perform a simulation study on Rayleigh surface acoustic wave (RSAW) based on a stacked Al/LiNbO3 system. A SAW strain sensor with a dual-port resonator was modeled using multiphysics finite element model (FEM) method. While FEM has been widely used for numerical calculations of SAW devices, most of the simulation works mainly focus on SAW modes, SAW propagation characteristics and electromechanical coupling coefficients. Herein, we propose a systematic scheme via analyzing the structural parameters of SAW resonators. Evolution of RSAW eigenfrequency, insertion loss (IL), quality factor (Q) and strain transfer rate with different structural parameters are elaborated by FEM simulations. Compared with the reported experimental results, the relative errors of RSAW eigenfrequency and IL are about 3% and 16.3%, respectively, and the absolute errors are 5.8 MHz and 1.63 dB (the corresponding Vout/Vin is only 6.6%). After structural optimization, the obtained resonator Q increases by 15%, IL decreases by 34.6% and the strain transfer rate increases by 2.4%. In this paper, nanosheet deformation during channel release has been investigated and discussed in Gate-All-Around (GAA) transistors. Structures with different source/drain size and stacked Si nanosheet lengths were designed and fabricated. The experiment of channel release showed that the stress caused serious deformation to suspended nanosheets. With the guidance of the experiment result, based on simulation studies using the COMSOL Multiphysics and Sentaurus tools, it is confirmed that the stress applied on the channel from source/drain plays an important role in nanosheet deformation during the fabrication process. The deformation of Si nanosheets would cause a serious degradation of the device performance due to an inability to control the work function of the metal gate. This study proposed that the uniformly stacked GAA nanosheets structure could be successfully demonstrated with suitable channel stress engineering provided by fitting S/D size and an appropriate channel length. This paper discusses how the incorporation of high-resolution ground coverage dataset ESA WorldCover into a wind flow field and wake simulation calculation, as well as the use of the coupled wake model for wind farm output simulation, can improve the accuracy of wind resource assessment using engineering examples. In the actual case of grid-connected wind farms in central China, SCADA wind speed data is reconstructed to the free flow wind speed in front of the wind turbine impeller using the transfer function of the nacelle, and the wind farm is modeled using OpenWind software, simulating the wind speed at the height of each wind turbine hub and each wind turbine output. The results show that when other initial data are consistent, using ESA's high-precision land cover dataset WorldCover 10 m to make roughness lengths which improves the wind farm output simulation accuracy by 8.91%, showing that it is worth trying to apply WorldCover 10 m to the wind farm simulation design. At the same time, this case is used to compare and analyze the application of the Eddy-Viscosity wake model and the two coupled wake models based on the Eddy-Viscosity wake model. The results show that the coupled wake model will have higher accuracy than the Deep Array Eddy Viscosity wake model and it is 1.24% more accurate than the Eddy Viscosity wake model, and the ASM Eddy Viscosity wake model is 5.21% more accurate than the Eddy Viscosity wake model. The effect of the source/drain compressive stress on the mechanical stability of stacked Si nanosheets (NS) during the process of channel release has been investigated. The stress of the nanosheets in the stacking direction increased first and then decreased during the process of channel release by technology computer-aided design (TCAD) simulation. The finite element simulation showed that the stress caused serious deformation of the nanosheets, which was also confirmed by the experiment. This study proposed a novel channel release process that utilized multi-step etching to remove the sacrificial SiGe layers instead of conventional single-step etching. By gradually releasing the stress of the SiGe layer on the nanosheets, the stress difference in the stacking direction before and after the last step of etching was significantly reduced, thus achieving equally spaced stacked nanosheets. In addition, the plasma-free oxidation treatment was introduced in the multi-step etching process to realize an outstanding selectivity of 168:1 for Si0.7Ge0.3 versus Si. The proposed novel process could realize the channel release of nanosheets with a multi-width from 30 nm to 80 nm with little Si loss, unlocking the full potential of gate-all-around (GAA) technology for digital, analog, and radio-frequency (RF) circuit applications. Impacts of source/drain (S/D) recess engineering on the device performance of both the gate-all-around (GAA) nanosheet (NS) field-effect transistor (FET) and FinFET have been comprehensively studied at 5 nm node technology. TCAD simulation results show that the device off-leakage, including subthreshold leakage through the channel (Isub) and punch-through leakage (IPT) in the sub-channel, is strongly related to the S/D recess process. Firstly, device electrical characteristics such as current density distributions, On/Off-state current (Ion, Ioff), subthreshold swing (SS), RC delay, and gate capacitance (Cgg) are investigated quantitatively for DC/AC performance evaluation and comparison according to S/D lateral recess depth (Lrcs) variations. For both device types, larger Lrcs will result in a shorter effective channel length (Leff), so that the Ion and Ioff simultaneously increase. At the constant Ioff, the Lrcs can be optimized to enhance the device's drivability by ~3% and improve the device's RC delay by ~1.5% due to a larger Cgg as a penalty. Secondly, S/D over recess depth (Hrcs) in the vertical direction severely affects the punch-through leakage in the Sub-Fin or bottom parasitic channel region. The NSFET exhibits less Ioff sensitivity provided that it can be well controlled under 12 nm since the bottom parasitic channel is still gated. Furthermore, with both Hrcs and Lrcs accounted for in the device fabrication, the NSFET still shows better control of the off-leakage in the intrinsic and bottom parasitic channel regions and ~37% leakage reduction compared with FinFETs, which would be critical to enable further scaling and the low standby power application. Finally, the S/D recess engineering strategy has been given: a certain lateral recess could be optimized to obtain the best drive current and RC delay, while the vertical over-recess should be in tight management to keep the static power dissipation as low as possible. Microalgae is a promising metabolism microorganism for the fixation of CO2 from industrial gas while accumulating microalgae biomass. The process of CO2 fixation by microalgae is able to be significantly improved by the regulation of phytohormones. However, the complex metabolic mechanism of microalgae regulated by phytohormones and abiotic stress on CO2 fixation deserves to be explored. To systematically understand the existing status and establish a foundation for promoting the technology, this paper reviews investigations on the metabolic mechanism of microalgae regulated by phytohormones. The influences of nitrogen stress, light intensity stress, heavy metal stress, and salinity stress on CO2 fixation and lipid production are summarized. In addition, a comprehensive overview of the multistage regulation of phytohormones and abiotic stress on CO2 fixation and lipid production through microalgae is presented. The recent advances in CO2 transfer reinforcement and light transmission reinforcement in photobioreactors are discussed. This review provides an insight into the enhancement of CO2 fixation by microalgae regulated by phytohormones, abiotic stress, and mass transfer in multistage photobioreactors. Cheilinus undulatus is a valuable seawater economic fish with tender meat, fresh taste, and high nutritional value; however, its population is rapidly declining because of massive fishing and habitat destruction. Assessing changes in genetic diversity and inbreeding levels is a very valuable monitoring tool, and multiplex PCR has the advantages of being time-efficient and economical. Here, we selected 12 pairs of polymorphic microsatellite loci, developed two multiplex PCR amplification systems based on these microsatellites, and used them to examine 30 C. undulatus specimens. The number of alleles (Na) for the 12 microsatellite markers ranged from 2 to 8. The effective allele number (Ne) ranged from 1.724 to 4.592. The expected heterozygosity (He) and observed heterozygosity (Ho) ranged from 0.420 to 0.782 and 0.100 to 0.900, respectively. The polymorphic information content (PIC) ranged from 0.422 to 0.746, with a mean value of 0.557. 5 loci deviated from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (HWE, p < 0.05 after Bonferroni correction). The multiplex PCR amplification system established in this study provides a basis for germplasm identification, genetic diversity analysis, and assessment of the effects of accretion and release of C. undulatus. Species markers can be quickly and accurately assessed using DNA barcoding. We investigated samples from the parrotfish family Scaridae using DNA barcoding in Hainan. A total of 401 DNA barcodes were analyzed, including 51 new barcodes generated from fresh material, based on a 533 bp fragment of the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (CO I) gene. There were 350 CO I barcode clusters that matched 43 species from the Barcode of Life Data Systems (BOLD) and GenBank databases. The results showed the following average nucleotide compositions for the complete dataset: adenine (A, 22.7%), thymine (T, 29.5%), cytosine (C, 29.5%), and guanine (G, 18.2%). The mean genetic distance between confamilial species was nearly 53-fold greater than that between individuals within the species. In the neighbor-joining tree of CO I sequences, Chlorurus sordidus and C. spilurus clustered together, and all other individuals clustered by species. Our results indicated that DNA barcoding could be used as an effective molecular tool for monitoring, protecting, and managing fisheries, and for elucidating taxonomic problem areas that require further investigation. Lutjanus kasmira belongs to the family Lutjanidae. Over the past 20 years, the L. kasmira population in the South China Sea has been shrinking due to climate change, pressure from human activities, and inadequate food supplies. In this study, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data obtained from restriction site-associated DNA sequencing (RAD-seq) were used to assess the genetic diversity of L. kasmira in Zhubi Dao (ZB) and Meiji Dao (MJ). The genome-wide nucleotide diversity (π) of the ZB population and MJ population was 0.02478 and 0.02154, respectively. The inbreeding coefficient (Fis) of the ZB population and MJ population was −0.18729 and 0.03256, respectively. The genetic differentiation (Fst) between the ZB and MJ subpopulations was 0.00255102. The expected heterozygosity (He) of individuals from ZB and MJ was 0.33585 and 0.22098, respectively. The observed heterozygosity (Ho) of individuals from the ZB population and MJ population was 0.46834 and 0.23103, respectively. Although the ZB and MJ populations did not have significant genetic differences, the genetic differentiation between them was confirmed using population structure, phylogenetic, and principal component analyses. A new S/D trimming process was proposed to significantly reduce the parasitic RC of gate-all-around (GAA) nanosheet transistors (NS-FETs) while retaining the channel stress from epitaxy S/D stressors at most. With optimized S/D trimming, the 7-stage ring oscillator (RO) gained up to 27.8% improvement of delay with the same power consumption, for a 3-layer stacked GAA NS-FETs. This paper presents an experimental investigation of the seismic performance of interior beam–column joints with beams reinforced with Grade 600MPa longitudinal steel bars. Six full-scale reinforcement concrete (RC) interior joints are designed with different axial compression ratios and longitudinal reinforcement ratios, which are tested under reversed cyclic loading. Failure modes, hysteretic curves, skeleton curves, energy dissipation capacity, and the ductility of joints are investigated systematically. Moreover, the effect of the different axial compression ratios and longitudinal reinforcement ratios on the seismic behavior of the joints are deeply studied. Comparisons performed between specimens demonstrate that among the beam–column joints with 600 MPa high strength steel bars, specimens with high reinforcement ratios have better energy dissipation capacity, slower stiffness degradation, and lower ductility. Moreover, with the increase of the axial compression ratios, the energy dissipation capacity and ductility become weaker. To master the transformation method and spatio-temporal variation characteristics of cultivated land quality at multiple scales, this paper constructed three spatial scales (Laixi city, Qingdao city, and Shandong province) and two temporal scales (the second survey (2007) and the third survey (2020)), and used a linear model to transform the evaluation system. Descriptive statistics, area statistics, spatial distribution, and aggregation analysis were used to explore the spatial scale variability, and the dynamic variation characteristics were analyzed. The results showed that (1) the R2 of scale transformation models are more than 0.826, which has a simple structure and strong universality; (2) with the administrative scale increases, the evaluation units' number decreases, the spatial distribution is generally similar but progressively approximate, the high and low land levels gradually change to medium-level land, and the spatial aggregation degree is county-scale > provincial-scale > city-scale, with significant scale effect; and (3) in the past ten years, the average grade has increased from 6.26 to 6.13 in Laixi city, but still has much room for development. This study puts forward a method of spatio-temporal scale transformation and scale effect analysis for cultivated land quality, which has positive significance for improving the evaluation system, promoting land protection, and regional sustainable development. A link between the scent and color of Narcissus tazetta flowers can be anticipated due to their biochemical origin, as well as their similar biological role. Despite the obvious aesthetic and ecological significance of these colorful and fragrant components of the flowers and the molecular profiles of their pigments, fragrant formation has addressed in some cases. However, the regulatory mechanism of the correlation of fragrant components and color patterns is less clear. We simultaneously used one way to address how floral color and fragrant formation in different tissues are generated during the development of an individual plant by transcriptome-based weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA). A spatiotemporal pattern variation of flavonols/carotenoids/chlorophyll pigmentation and benzenoid/phenylpropanoid/ monoterpene fragrant components between the tepal and corona in the flower tissues of Narcissus tazetta, was exhibited. Several candidate transcription factors: MYB12, MYB1, AP2-ERF, bZIP, NAC, MYB, C2C2, C2H2 and GRAS are shown to be associated with metabolite flux, the phenylpropanoid pathway to the production of flavonols/anthocyanin, as well as related to one branch of the phenylpropanoid pathway to the benzenoid/phenylpropanoid component in the tepal and the metabolite flux between the monoterpene and carotenoids biosynthesis pathway in coronas. Stem cells from apical papilla (SCAPs) are desirable sources of dentin regeneration. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a natural component of green tea, shows potential in promoting the osteogenic differentiation of bone mesenchymal stem cells. However, whether EGCG regulates the odontogenic differentiation of SCAPs and how this occurs remain unknown. SCAPs from immature human third molars (16–20 years, n = 5) were treated with a medium containing different concentrations of EGCG or bone morphogenic protein 2 (BMP2), with or without LDN193189 (an inhibitor of the canonical BMP pathway). Cell proliferation and migration were analyzed using a CCK-8 assay and wound-healing assay, respectively. Osteo-/odontogenic differentiation was evaluated via alkaline phosphatase staining, alizarin red S staining, and the expression of osteo-/odontogenic markers using qPCR and Western blotting. We found that EGCG (1 or 10 μM) promoted the proliferation of SCAPs, increased alkaline phosphatase activity and mineral deposition, and upregulated the expression of osteo-/odontogenic markers including dentin sialophosphoprotein (Dspp), dentin matrix protein-1 (Dmp-1), bone sialoprotein (Bsp), and Type I collagen (Col1), along with the elevated expression of BMP2 and phosphorylation level of Smad1/5/9 (p < 0.01). EGCG at concentrations below 10 μM had no significant influence on cell migration. Moreover, EGCG-induced osteo-/odontogenic differentiation was significantly attenuated via LDN193189 treatment (p < 0.01). Furthermore, EGCG showed the ability to promote mineralization comparable with that of recombinant BMP2. In this study, a label-free multi-resonant graphene-based biosensor with periodic graphene nanoribbons is proposed for detection of composite vibrational fingerprints in the mid-infrared range. The multiple vibrational signals of biomolecules are simultaneously enhanced and detected by different resonances in the transmission spectrum. Each of the transmission dips can be independently tuned by altering the gating voltage applied on the corresponding graphene nanoribbon. Geometric parameters are investigated and optimized to obtain excellent sensing performance. Limit of detection is also evaluated in an approximation way. Besides, the biosensor can operate in a wide range of incident angles. Electric field intensity distributions are depicted to reveal the physical insight. Moreover, another biosensor based on periodic graphene nanodisks is further proposed, whose performance is insensitive to the polarization of incidence. Chinese narcissus ( Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis ) is one of the ten traditional flowers in China and a famous bulb flower in the world flower market. However, only white color tepals are formed in mature flowers of the cultivated varieties, which constrains their applicable occasions. Unfortunately, for lack of genome information of narcissus species, the explanation of tepal color formation of Chinese narcissus is still not clear. Concerning no genome information, the application of transcriptome profile to dissect biological phenomena in plants was reported to be effective. As known, pigments are metabolites of related metabolic pathways, which dominantly decide flower color. In this study, transcriptome profile and pigment metabolite analysis methods were used in the most widely cultivated Chinese narcissus "Jinzhanyintai" to discover the structure of pigment metabolic pathways and their contributions to white tepal color formation during flower development and pigmentation processes. By using comparative KEGG pathway enrichment analysis, three pathways related to flavonoid, carotenoid and chlorophyll pigment metabolism showed significant variations. The structure of flavonoids metabolic pathway was depicted, but, due to the lack of F3'5'H gene; the decreased expression of C4H , CHS and ANS genes; and the high expression of FLS gene, the effect of this pathway to synthesize functional anthocyanins in tepals was weak. Similarly, the expression of DXS , MCT and PSY genes in carotenoids synthesis sub-pathway was decreased, while CCD1 / CCD4 genes in carotenoids degradation sub-pathway was increased; therefore, the effect of carotenoids metabolic pathway to synthesize adequate color pigments in tepals is restricted. Interestingly, genes in chlorophyll synthesis sub-pathway displayed uniform down-regulated expression, while genes in heme formation and chlorophyll breakdown sub-pathways displayed up-regulated expression, which also indicates negative regulation of chlorophyll formation. Further, content change trends of various color metabolites detected by HPLC in tepals are consistent with the additive gene expression patterns in each pathway. Therefore, all three pathways exhibit negative control of color pigments synthesis in tepals, finally resulting in the formation of white tepals. Interestingly, the content of chlorophyll was more than 10-fold higher than flavonoids and carotenoids metabolites, which indicates that chlorophyll metabolic pathway may play the major role in deciding tepal color formation of Chinese narcissus., Competing Interests: The authors declare no conflict of interest.
