A vertical pipeline pump is a type of single-stage, single-suction centrifugal pump with a curved elbow input. The inhomogeneous flow of the impeller inlet coexists with the unique elbow inlet channel, making it simple to generate the inlet vortical secondary flow. This paper aimed to optimize elbow inlet channel performance using a backpropagation (BP) neural network enhanced by the Sand Cat Swarm algorithm. The elbow flow channel's midline and cross section shapes were fitted with a spline curve, and the parametric model of the curve was then constructed. Nine initial variables were filtered down to four optimization variables using the partial factor two-level (P2) and Plackett-Burman (P-B) experimental designs and multivariate analysis of variance. The sample space was generated by 50 groups of experiment samples, and the Sand Cat Swarm algorithm to optimize the BP (SCSO-BP) neural network and the approximation model of four variables were built. A genetic algorithm (GA) was applied to determine the optimal parameters among the approximate models in the sample space, and the ideal parameter combination of the elbow inlet channel was achieved. The findings demonstrated a strong agreement between the experimental and numerical simulation results. With reduced error fluctuation in inaccuracy and a more consistent fluctuation range, the approximate prediction model based on the optimized Sand Cat Swarm algorithm performed better. The optimized inlet model minimized the impact loss on the inlet wall, improved the velocity distribution uniformity of the inlet impeller, increased the pump efficiency by about 5% and the head by about 7.48% near the design flow, and broadened the efficient region of the pump. Simple Summary: Marine organisms are facing multifaceted changes in their environment due to near-future ocean warming and acidification. We aimed to analyze the impacts of concurrent climate change stressors (seawater warming and acidification) on the embryo/larval development and gene expression patterns of the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus. Elevated temperatures have been found to expedite the embryo–larval development of A. japonicus, while decreased pH inhibited these processes, but the effect of combining the former two seemed to be slight. At the transcriptomic level, acidification induced attenuated biomineralization and skeletogenesis, and triggered the risk of extracellular acid–base imbalance and oxidative injury; warming introduced a noticeable stress response; while dual stresses strengthened these stress responses, resulting in reduced immune resistance and heightened system instability. This study provides new insights into the potential adaptive mechanisms employed by sea cucumbers and projects the potential effects of climate change on marine organisms and ecosystems. Ocean acidification (OA) and ocean warming (OW) are potential obstacles to the survival and growth of marine organisms, particularly those that rely on calcification. This study investigated the single and joint effects of OA and OW on sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus larvae raised under combinations of two temperatures (19 °C or 22 °C) and two pCO2 levels (400 or 1000 μatm) that reflect the current and end-of-21st-century projected ocean scenarios. The investigation focused on assessing larval development and identifying differences in gene expression patterns at four crucial embryo–larval stages (blastula, gastrula, auricularia, and doliolaria) of sea cucumbers, using RNA-seq. Results showed the detrimental effect of OA on the early development and body growth of A. japonicus larvae and a reduction in the expression of genes associated with biomineralization, skeletogenesis, and ion homeostasis. This effect was particularly pronounced during the doliolaria stage, indicating the presence of bottlenecks in larval development at this transition phase between the larval and megalopa stages in response to OA. OW accelerated the larval development across four stages of A. japonicus, especially at the blastula and doliolaria stages, but resulted in a widespread upregulation of genes related to heat shock proteins, antioxidant defense, and immune response. Significantly, the negative effects of elevated pCO2 on the developmental process of larvae appeared to be mitigated when accompanied by increased temperatures at the expense of reduced immune resilience and increased system fragility. These findings suggest that alterations in gene expression within the larvae of A. japonicus provide a mechanism to adapt to stressors arising from a rapidly changing oceanic environment. Interspecific crosses that fuse the genomes of two different species may result in overall gene expression changes in the hybrid progeny, called 'transcriptome shock'. To better understand the expression pattern after genome merging during the early stages of allopolyploid formation, we performed RNA sequencing analysis on developing embryos of Brassica rapa, B. napus, and their synthesized allotriploid hybrids. Here, we show that the transcriptome shock occurs in the developing seeds of the hybrids. Of the homoeologous gene pairs, 17.1% exhibit expression bias, with an overall expression bias toward B. rapa. The expression level dominance also biases toward B. rapa, mainly induced by the expression change in homoeologous genes from B. napus. Functional enrichment analysis revealed significant differences in differentially expressed genes (DEGs) related to photosynthesis, hormone synthesis, and other pathways. Further study showed that significant changes in the expression levels of the key transcription factors (TFs) could regulate the overall interaction network in the developing embryo, which might be an essential cause of phenotype change. In conclusion, the present results have revealed the global changes in gene expression patterns in developing seeds of the hybrid between B. rapa and B. napus, and provided novel insights into the occurrence of transcriptome shock for harnessing heterosis. As a key component for transmitting electrical signals, the electrical contact performance of electrical connectors is directly affected by the closing amount of the socket. It is urgent to explore the relationship between contact resistance and the closing amount of cylindrical groove electric connectors, as well as the range of the closing amount when their comprehensive performance is optimal in vibration environments. Based on Hertz contact theory, the long- and short-axis parameters of the contact elliptical surface were obtained using the Boussinesq solution and the contact deformation coordination equation. An electrical contact resistance (ECR) theoretical model was obtained using Holm's electric contact theory and the GW contact model. According to the ECR and long- and short-axis parameters of the contact elliptical surface and the theoretical model of contact resistance, an ECR model based on changes in the initial closing amount (deflection) of the socket spring was established by introducing the cantilever beam model of the socket spring. Then, the failure mechanism of fretting wear and the change mechanism of the ECR of the electrical connectors under a vibration environment were analyzed using the sinusoidal vibration test of electric connectors. The optimal range of the initial closing amount of the cylindrical-groove-closing-type electrical connector socket spring was determined, providing a reference for the reliability designs of electrical connectors. Meiotic recombination not only maintains the stability of the chromosome structure but also creates genetic variations for adapting to changeable environments. A better understanding of the mechanism of crossover (CO) patterns at the population level is useful for crop improvement. However, there are limited cost-effective and universal methods to detect the recombination frequency at the population level in Brassica napus. Here, the Brassica 60K Illumina Infinium SNP array (Brassica 60K array) was used to systematically study the recombination landscape in a double haploid (DH) population of B. napus. It was found that COs were unevenly distributed across the whole genome, and a higher frequency of COs existed at the distal ends of each chromosome. A considerable number of genes (more than 30%) in the CO hot regions were associated with plant defense and regulation. In most tissues, the average gene expression level in the hot regions (CO frequency of greater than 2 cM/Mb) was significantly higher than that in the regions with a CO frequency of less than 1 cM/Mb. In addition, a bin map was constructed with 1995 recombination bins. For seed oil content, Bin 1131 to 1134, Bin 1308 to 1311, Bin 1864 to 1869, and Bin 2184 to 2230 were identified on chromosomes A08, A09, C03, and C06, respectively, which could explain 8.5%, 17.3%, 8.6%, and 3.9% of the phenotypic variation. These results could not only deepen our understanding of meiotic recombination in B. napus at the population level, and provide useful information for rapeseed breeding in the future, but also provided a reference for studying CO frequency in other species. Compared with the traditional needle driving method, hybrid maglev needle driving is a new weft knitting machine technology, which alleviates the problems of noise, heat, and needle breakage. However, in the structure of needle arrays, magnetic disturbance between permanent magnet knitting needles leads to unstable needle control. Therefore, this paper attempts to solve this problem through a performance analysis of hybrid maglev needle driving. Based on the structure, the magnetic force distribution model of permanent magnet knitting needles is established. Aiming at the magnetic interference between magnetic arrays, a magnetic shielding material, silicon steel with a high permeability, is proposed to optimize the driving structure of a magnetic levitation needle array. Through simulation and experimental analysis, the influence of different silicon steel thicknesses on magnetic field shielding is analyzed. It is concluded that the optimal value of a silicon steel sheet is 1 mm and that the optimal gauge of hybrid maglev knitting needles is 8 mm. Finally, compared with the theoretical and simulation analysis, the experimental results have indicated that the proposed optimized structure of the gauge of hybrid maglev knitting needles is correct and effective. Traffic intelligence has become an important part of the development of various countries and the automobile industry. Roadside perception is an important part of the intelligent transportation system, which mainly realizes the effective perception of road environment information by using sensors installed on the roadside. Vehicles are the main road targets in most traffic scenes, so tracking a large number of vehicles is an important subject in the field of roadside perception. Considering the characteristics of vehicle-like rigid targets from the roadside view, a vehicle tracking algorithm based on deep learning was proposed. Firstly, we optimized a DLA-34 network and designed a block-N module, then the channel attention and spatial attention modules were added in the front of the network to improve the overall feature extraction ability and computing efficiency of the network. Next, the joint loss function was designed to improve the intra-class and inter-class discrimination ability of the tracking algorithm, which can better discriminate objects of similar appearance and the color of vehicles, alleviate the IDs problem and improve algorithm robustness and the real-time performance of the tracking algorithm. Finally, the experimental results showed that the method had a good tracking effect for the vehicle tracking task from the roadside perspective and could meet the practical application demands of complex traffic scenes. It is known that parental nutrient reserves, in particular of lipids, are directly related to the reproductive performance of sea cucumbers. In this study, we investigated the impact of a high-fat diet on the intestinal and gonadal metabolism of male and female A. japonicus. Diet lipid content significantly affected the intestinal microbiome and metabolite profile, and also interfered with gonadal metabolites. Dietary lipid supplementation enhanced the dominance of Proteobacteria in the intestines. Other microbes in the intestines responded to a high-fat diet, which may contribute to maintain intestinal homeostasis. The physiological and metabolic responses of sea cucumbers to a high-fat diet showed sex differences. Interestingly, a correlation between intestinal and gonadal tissue levels of polyunsaturated fatty acid was found. The results of this study indicate that the lipid content in diets can be differentially adjusted for male and female sea cucumbers to improve nutrition and promote reproduction. This data also contributes to a better understanding of the reproductive biology and sex differences of sea cucumbers. In this study, we analyzed the expression level and location of MITF in white, purple, and green sea cucumbers and identified the genes regulated by MITF using chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by sequencing. The mRNA and protein expression levels of MITF were all highest in purple morphs and lowest in white morphs. In situ hybridization indicated that MITF mRNA were mainly expressed in the epidermis. We also identified 984, 732, and 1191 peaks of MITF binding in green, purple, and white sea cucumbers, which were associated with 727, 557, and 887 genes, respectively. Our findings suggested that MITF contributed to the body color differentiation of green, purple, and white sea cucumbers through expression differences and regulation of downstream genes. A reasonable braking timing sequence plays an important role in the braking stability of a semi-trailer train, but there is still a lack of objective and comprehensive scientific evaluations of braking stability as shown by the braking timing sequence. Aiming at this problem, through the analysis of relevant regulations and standards at home and abroad, an evaluation index hierarchy model of the semi-trailer train braking timing sequence is constructed. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weight of the evaluation index of each level of the braking timing sequence, and a comprehensive evaluation is obtained. In order to determine the optimal braking timing sequence of the train during braking, a simulation model was established and simulated. Through the combination of index weight and simulation data, the model can provide a theoretical basis for the subsequent study of the optimal braking timing sequence of semi-trailer trains running under different working conditions. Herein, a PbSe quantum dot-doped-mode-locked fiber laser is experimentally demonstrated. A PbSe quantum dot-doped fiber is prepared using a melting method and induced as a gain medium in our mode-locked fiber laser. By increasing the pump power, a stable pulse train is obtained with a pulse duration of 36 ps, a pulse repetition rate of 4.5 MHz, an average laser power of 9.8 mW, and a central wavelength of 1214.5 nm. The pulse duration can be changed by adjusting the PC or increasing the pump power. The maximum laser power obtained was 42.7 mW under the pump power of 800 mW. Our results prove that a quantum dot-doped-mode-locked fiber laser is achievable, which provides a new scheme to solve wavelength problem of rare-earth-doped mode-locked fiber lasers. Lodging is one of the main reasons for the reduction in seed yield and is the limitation of mechanized harvesting in B. napus. The dissection of the regulatory mechanism of lodging resistance is an important goal in B. napus. In this study, the lodging resistant B. napus line, YG689, derived from the hybridization between B. napus cv. Zhongyou 821 (ZY821) and Capsella bursa-pastoris, was used to dissect the regulation mechanism of hard stem formation by integrating anatomical structure, transcriptome and metabolome analyses. It was shown that the lignocellulose content of YG689 is higher than that of ZY821, and some differentially expressed genes (DEGs) involved in the lignocellulose synthesis pathway were revealed by transcriptome analyses. Meanwhile, GC–TOF–MS and UPLC–QTOF–MS identified 40, 54, and 31 differential metabolites in the bolting stage, first flower stage, and the final flower stage. The differential accumulation of these metabolites might be associated with the lignocellulose biosynthesis in B. napus. Finally, some important genes that regulate the metabolic pathway of lignocellulose biosynthesis, such as BnaA02g18920D, BnaA10g15590D, BnaC05g48040D, and NewGene_216 were identified in B. napus through the combination of transcriptomics and metabolomics data. The present results explored the potential regulatory mechanism of lignocellulose biosynthesis, which provided a new clue for the breeding of B. napus with lodging resistance in the future. Suitable trajectories with minimum execution time are essential for an industrial robot to enhance productivity in pick and place operations. A novel point-to-point trajectory planning algorithm (PTPA) is proposed to improve the motion efficiency of industrial robots. The jerk profile for a trajectory model is determined by five intervals and the jerk constraint. According to the kinematic constraints and two shape coefficients, a velocity threshold and three displacement thresholds are calculated for an individual joint to transfer the proposed jerk motion profile into four specific profiles. The optimal trajectory model of the joint is developed for the minimum-time and jerk-continuous trajectory via the performance evaluation with the input displacement and three displacement thresholds. Moreover, time-based motion synchronization for all joints is taken into account in PTPA to decrease unnecessary burdens on the actuators. The simulations illustrate that the execution time by PTPA is more efficient than that by other techniques. The experiments of a point-to-point application on a real six-axis industrial robot show that the absolute errors at the end of the motion for all joints are within 0.04°. In the study of block copolymers, many parameters need to be adjusted to obtain good phase separation results. Based on block copolymer polystyrene-b-polycarbonate and homopolymer polystyrene, the effects of the annealing atmosphere, blending ratio, and molecular weight on phase separation were studied. The results show that annealing in air can inhibit the occurrence of phase separation. In addition, snowflake patterns are formed during phase separation. The blending ratio affects the quality of the pattern. The molecular weight affects the size of the pattern, and the size increases as the molecular weight increases. In this article, the influence of process conditions and materials on phase separation was discussed, which has laid a solid foundation for the development of block copolymer self-assembly in the future. This paper proposes a moving-target tracking algorithm that measures the pose of a micro-robot with high precision and high speed using the Kalman filter-based kernelized correlation filter (K2CF) algorithm. The adaptive Kalman filter can predict the state of linearly and nonlinearly fast-moving targets. The kernelized correlation filter algorithm then accurately detects the positions of the moving targets and uses the detection results to modify the moving states of the targets. This paper verifies the performance of the algorithm on a monocular vision measurement platform and using a pose measurement method. The K2CF algorithm was embedded in the micro-robot's attitude measurement system, and the tracking performances of three different trackers were compared under different motion conditions. Our tracker improved the positioning accuracy and maintained real-time operation. In a comparison study of K2CF and many other algorithms on Object Tracking Benchmark-50 and Object Tracking Benchmark-100 video sequences, the K2CF algorithm achieved the highest accuracy. In the 400 mm × 300 mm field of view, when the target radius is about 3 mm and the inter-frame acceleration displacement does not exceed 5.6 mm, the root-mean-square error of position and attitude angle can satisfy the precision requirements of the system. Recent one-stage 3D detection methods generate anchor boxes with various sizes and orientations in the ground plane, then determine whether these anchor boxes contain any region of interest and adjust the edges of them for accurate object bounding boxes. The anchor-based algorithm calculates the classification and regression label for each anchor box during the training process, which is inefficient and complicated. We propose a one-stage, anchor-free 3D vehicle detection algorithm based on LiDAR point clouds. The object position is encoded as a set of keypoints in the bird's-eye view (BEV) of point clouds. We apply the voxel/pillar feature extractor and convolutional blocks to map an unstructured point cloud to a single-channel 2D heatmap. The vehicle's Z-axis position, dimension, and orientation angle are regressed as additional attributes of the keypoints. Our method combines SmoothL1 loss and IoU (Intersection over Union) loss, and we apply (cos θ , sin θ) as angle regression labels, which achieve high average orientation similarity (AOS) without any direction classification tricks. During the target assignment and bounding box decoding process, our framework completely avoids any calculations related to anchor boxes. The powersphere is a device used for maximizing the conversion of light in wireless energy transmission via laser. It is a spherical structure made up of thousands of photovoltaic cells. Due to the large dimensions and existence of many holes in the spherical surface, there are some drawbacks in machining, such as limited movement space of the machines, long cycle, low precision, and high cost. In this context, with a powersphere irradiated by the laser as the model, the principle of powersphere is deduced theoretically. It is proven that the illuminance value at any position on the inner wall of the powersphere is equal, and the calculation formula of this value is derived. Based on this theory and the comparative analysis of processing methods and the results of processing experiments, the structure of the powersphere is designed. The experimental processing of the powersphere is carried out by selecting the welding method. Finally, two hemispherical powersphere frames are processed, which are connected by screws to form a ball frame for the installation of photovoltaic cells. The results show that the improved design and fabricating method can process the powersphere quickly, accurately, and economically. A comparative experiment of powersphere and photovoltaic panel was carried out. The experimental results show that the powersphere has the function of light uniformity and repeated use of laser. The growth of AlGaN has been extensively studied, but corresponding research related to the effect of AlN substrate surface has rarely been reported in literature. In this article, the effects of AlN substrate surface on deposition of AlGaN films were investigated by molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. (0001) Al-terminated and (000 1 ¯) N-terminated AlN were considered as substrates. The quality of surface morphology and atomic scale structure of deposited AlGaN film are discussed in detail. The results show that the surface morphology and crystal quality of AlGaN film grown on (0001) Al-terminated AlN surface are better than for that grown on (000 1 ¯) N-terminated AlN surface under various growing temperatures and Al/Ga injection ratios between Al and Ga. This can be attributed to the higher mobility of Al and Ga adatoms on the (0001) Al-terminated AlN surface. Single grit scratching is a basic form of material removal for many processes, such as grinding single point diamond turning and coating bonding performance tests. It has been widely used in the study of micro-scale and nano-scale material removal mechanisms. In this study, single grit linearly loading scratching tests were carried out on a scratching tester. A Rockwell indenter made of natural diamond was selected as the tool used, and the material of the workpiece was oxygen-free copper. Scratch topography was measured using a super-depth microscope to analyze the material deformation of the scratching process. A single grit scratching simulation has been developed by AdvantEdge™ to comprehensively study the material deformation of scratching processes. A material constitutive model and friction model were acquired using a quasi-static uniaxial compression experiment and a reciprocating friction test, respectively. These two models were used as the input models in the finite simulations. The simulated scratching forces aligned well with the experimental scratching forces, which verified the precision of the simulation model. Since only the scratching force could be obtained in the scratching experiment, the plastic strain, material flow, and residual stress of the scratching were further analyzed using simulations. The results showed that the plastic strain of the workpiece increased with the increase in scratching depth, and further analysis showed that the workpiece surface was distributed with residual compressive stress and the sub-surface was distributed with residual tensile stress in single grit scratching. Melanin, which is a pigment produced in melanocytes, is an important contributor to sea cucumber body color. MITF is one of the most critical genes in melanocyte development and melanin synthesis pathways. However, how MITF regulates body color and differentiation in sea cucumbers is poorly understood. In this study, we analyzed the expression level and location of MITF in white, purple, and green sea cucumbers and identified the genes regulated by MITF using chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by sequencing. The mRNA and protein expression levels of MITF were all highest in purple morphs and lowest in white morphs. In situ hybridization indicated that MITF mRNA were mainly expressed in the epidermis. We also identified 984, 732, and 1191 peaks of MITF binding in green, purple, and white sea cucumbers, which were associated with 727, 557, and 887 genes, respectively. Our findings suggested that MITF contributed to the body color differentiation of green, purple, and white sea cucumbers through expression differences and regulation of downstream genes. These results provided a basis for future studies to determine the mechanisms underlying body color formation and provided insights into gene regulation in sea cucumbers.

Queuing is common in urban public places. Automatically monitoring and predicting queuing time can not only help individuals to reduce their wait time and alleviate anxiety but also help managers to allocate resources more efficiently and enhance their ability to address emergencies. This paper proposes a novel method to estimate and predict queuing time in indoor environments based on WiFi positioning data. First, we use a series of parameters to identify the trajectories that can be used as representatives of queuing time. Next, we divide the day into equal time slices and estimate individuals' average queuing time during specific time slices. Finally, we build a nonstandard autoregressive (NAR) model trained using the previous day's WiFi estimation results and actual queuing time to predict the queuing time in the upcoming time slice. A case study comparing two other time series analysis models shows that the NAR model has better precision. Random topological errors caused by the drift phenomenon of WiFi positioning technology (locations determined by a WiFi positioning system may drift accidently) and systematic topological errors caused by the positioning system are the main factors that affect the estimation precision. Therefore, we optimize the deployment strategy during the positioning system deployment phase and propose a drift ratio parameter pertaining to the trajectory screening phase to alleviate the impact of topological errors and improve estimates. The WiFi positioning data from an eight-day case study conducted at the T3-C entrance of Beijing Capital International Airport show that the mean absolute estimation error is 147 s, which is approximately 26.92% of the actual queuing time. For predictions using the NAR model, the proportion is approximately 27.49%. The sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus is exploited as a commercial species owing to their high nutritive and medicinal value. Recent high summer temperatures have caused high mortality rates in A. japonicus. In this study, we applied the isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) technique to investigate the global protein expression profile under an acute short-term (48 h) heat stress. In total, 3432 proteins were identified, and 127 proteins showed significant heat stress responses, with 61 upregulated proteins and 66 downregulated proteins. Our results suggest that heat stress influenced the expression of proteins involved in various biological processes, such as tissue protection and detoxification, lipid and amino acid metabolism, energy production and usage, transcription and translation, cell apoptosis, and cell proliferation. These findings provide a better understanding about the response and thermo-tolerance mechanisms of A. japonicus under heat stress.
