Background: This study aimed to characterize acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients undergoing invasive diagnostics and to evaluate prognostic factors for all-cause mortality over a 10-year follow-up period. Methods: The KORONEF study was a prospective, observational, single-center study that enrolled 492 patients, of whom 467 had confirmed coronary artery disease (CAD). Baseline demographic, clinical, laboratory, and procedural data were analyzed, focusing on the differences between ACS and chronic coronary syndrome (CCS) patients. Results: Males made up the majority of both the CCS and ACS groups (62.2% vs. 63.6%, p = 0.773), with no statistically significant difference in patient age between the CCS and ACS subpopulations (64.9 ± 9.5 vs. 63.7 ± 10.3, p = 0.106). The 10-year all-cause mortality was 29.8%, with no statistically significant difference between ACS and CCS patients. However, statistically significantly more patients with CCS underwent CABG in the follow-up than ACS patients (9.9% vs. 4.6%, p = 0.042). In a multivariable analysis, in the ACS subgroup, statistically significant predictors of all-cause mortality at 10 years included being between 75 and 90 years old (HR 4.99), not having had a previous stroke (HR 0.27), the absence of cardiac arrest (HR 0.20), and a left ventricular ejection fraction > 60% (HR 0.23). Conclusions: The long-term outcomes of the ACS patients highlight age and left ventricular function as significant prognostic factors, underscoring the importance of these parameters in risk stratification.

The article is devoted to the application of the territorial extrapolation of basic data method during a mass (cadastral) assessment of a territory that is characterized by an acute lack of market information. In the framework of the study, an acute lack is understood as the conditions when for the assessing territory there are less than five transaction (offer) prices suitable for regression models. The idea of the method is to use market information of territories that are comparable in a composition of pricing factors and the nature of their influence on the cost, as well as in terms of price levels. The developed method includes such stages as collection of basic data, creation of thematic maps, grouping of estimated territories by price level and composition of pricing factors and modeling. The method was applied to assess land plots that have the type of permitted use “for individual housing construction” and belong to the mass appraisal segment “gardening and horticulture, low-rise residential buildings” in the settlements of the Republic of Udmurtia. The results of approbation shown that the method of territorial extrapolation helps to overcome an acute shortage of market information and build statistically significant models of the cadastral values of land plots.

The present paper describes the problem and effects of water scarcity and the possibility of rational use of this resource in the idea of a Circular Economy (CE) and sustainable development. Rational water management requires innovation, due to the growing demand for this raw material. It seems that water is widely available, e.g., in Poland, there is no problem with drought. Unfortunately, Polish water resources are shrinking and modern solutions, as well as the construction of new and modernisation of old infrastructure, are some of the few solutions that can protect against a shortage of potable water. Water is also an essential resource for economic development. It is used in every sector of the economy. Limited water resources lead to an inevitable energy transformation because, in its present state, the Polish energy industry consumes huge amounts of water. Due to the above statements, the authors propose a solution in the form of an interactive shower panel that contributes to more rational water management (e.g., in households or hotels) based on the latest technological achievements. This device enables the creation of water consumption statistics based on accurate liquid flow measurements and the transfer of data to the user’s mobile device. This innovation aims to make the user aware of the amount of water used, which in turn can contribute to lower water consumption.
