The preparation of fried meat products is prone to the formation of large amounts of heterocyclic amines (HCAs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and trans fatty acids (TFAs), which are potential risks to human health. Spices contain natural antioxidants that can inhibit the oxidation of fats and oils and the formation of hazardous substances. In this experiment, the effect of adding different levels (0.25%, 0.75%, 1.25%) of ginger or rosemary during meatball preparation on the formation of HCAs, PAHs and TFAs in fried pork balls was investigated. The results showed that the addition of ginger and rosemary reduced the content of HCAs in fried pork balls compared to the control group (no added spices). The inhibition of total HCAs was 63% when 0.25% ginger was added, while the total HCA content was reduced to 59% when 0.25% rosemary was added. The addition of 0.25% and 0.75% rosemary reduced the PAH content in fried pork balls by 30% and 35%. In addition, ginger and rosemary showed significant inhibition of C20:1 11t in TFAs, with a maximum inhibition rate of 40%. Therefore, adding appropriate levels of ginger or rosemary to fried pork balls could simultaneously inhibit the formation of HCAs, PAHs, and TFAs.

In this paper, hot-dip aluminizing of ferrite nodular cast iron was carried out after treating liquid aluminum with different electrical pulse parameters. Compared with that of conventional hot-dip aluminizing, the coating structure of the treated sample did not change, the surface was smooth and continuous, and the solidification structure was more uniform. When high voltage and large capacitance were used to treat the liquid aluminum, the thickness and compactness of the coating surface layer increased. The thickness of the alloy layer decreased, and, the compactness and the micro hardness increased, so the electric pulse had a certain inhibition on the formation of the alloy layer. The growth kinetics of the alloy layer showed that the rate-time index decreased from 0.60 for the conventional sample to 0.38 for the electric pulse treated sample. The growth of the alloy layer was controlled by diffusion and interface reaction, but only by diffusion. The AC impedance and polarization curves of the coating showed that the corrosion resistance of hot-dip coating on nodular cast iron was improved by electric pulse treatment.

Many urgently needed inconel superalloy parts with complex internal cavity geometry and high surface precision are difficult to prepare by traditional subtractive manufacturing methods because of its poor machinability. The additive manufacturing technology that has emerged in recent years became a research hotspot in the manufacture of refractory and difficult-to-process metals. In the present study, selective laser melting (SLM), a typical additive manufacture technology, was used to prepare Inconel 718 samples. The influences of input laser energy density ((E, J/mm3) on densification behavior, phases composition, microstructures, microhardness, and wear performance of the SLM as-built Inconel 718 samples were explored in detail. X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to examine the phase composition and microstructure evolutions. The results show that the formablity, microstructures and mechanical properties of the printed samples were all improved with the increase of E within the parameter setting range of this study. At a lower E, the poor surface morphology and balling effect occurred, the density, hardness, and wear resistance were all at a relatively lower level. When an E value of 190 J/mm was properly set, the surface open-pores and balling effect disappeared, the laser scanning tracks became smooth and continuous, the near-full dense (99.15%) and specimens with good metallurgical bonding and no critical defect were obtained, in which the average microhardness value reached 348 HV0.2 and wear rate was 5.67 × 10−4 mm3/N·m. The homogeneity of the superalloy Inconel 718 was also explored.

Growth performance is an important economic trait in chicken. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been shown to play important roles in various biological processes, but their functions in chicken growth are not yet clear. To investigate the function of miRNAs in chicken growth, breast muscle tissues of the two-tail samples (highest and lowest body weight) from Recessive White Rock (WRR) and Xinghua Chickens (XH) were performed on high throughput small RNA deep sequencing. In this study, a total of 921 miRNAs were identified, including 733 known mature miRNAs and 188 novel miRNAs. There were 200, 279, 257 and 297 differentially expressed miRNAs in the comparisons of WRRh vs. WRRl, WRRh vs. XHh, WRRl vs. XHl, and XHh vs. XHl group, respectively. A total of 22 highly differentially expressed miRNAs (fold change > 2 or < 0.5; p-value < 0.05; q-value < 0.01), which also have abundant expression (read counts > 1000) were found in our comparisons. As far as two analyses (WRRh vs. WRRl, and XHh vs. XHl) are concerned, we found 80 common differentially expressed miRNAs, while 110 miRNAs were found in WRRh vs. XHh and WRRl vs. XHl. Furthermore, 26 common miRNAs were identified among all four comparisons. Four differentially expressed miRNAs (miR-223, miR-16, miR-205a and miR-222b-5p) were validated by quantitative real-time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR). Regulatory networks of interactions among miRNAs and their targets were constructed using integrative miRNA target-prediction and network-analysis. Growth hormone receptor (GHR) was confirmed as a target of miR-146b-3p by dual-luciferase assay and qPCR, indicating that miR-34c, miR-223, miR-146b-3p, miR-21 and miR-205a are key growth-related target genes in the network. These miRNAs are proposed as candidate miRNAs for future studies concerning miRNA-target function on regulation of chicken growth.
