- Abstract
The authors analyze the advantages and shortcomings of various types of economic interventions with due consideration for improvements in segmentectomy technique in various lung involvements. They describe in detail a method for the most rational resection of a lung segment suturing devices which has been used at the Moscow Research Institute for Diagnosis and Surgery since 1987 in 37 patients with oncologic and inflammatory diseases. Complications (bleeding, prolonged untightness of the operated on lung, pneumonia) occurred in 3 (10%) cases. No lethal outcomes were recorded. Potentialities of apparatus segmentectomy in clinical practice are characterized in detail.
