Several letters to the editor are presented in response to articles in previous issues including one on the lack of experience in packaging and recycling of new British packaging ministers Baron Henley and Caroline Spelman in the June 2010 issue, one on the backlash on single-use carrier bags of the Welsh Assembly Government, and one on the British recycling incentive scheme.

The article discusses the importance of quality in recycling in Great Britain. It states that the best way to achieve quality in recycling is through early segregation. It determines the need for the government to press on the development of a national strategy for household recycling to increase the amount of paper that can be recycled in the country.
