The article discusses a court case between Michael Foster, who was employed by the Oakland Department of Office of Parks and Recreation and the city of Oakland, California. Foster who suffered from memory loss was dismissed in 2007. He filed a case under the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The U.S. federal court noticed that he could perform certain duties and asked the department to state reasons for dismissal. The court denied motion of summary judgment by the city.
