Headache is one of the most prevalent disorders of the nervous system. Headache is also the most common symptom of a variety of diseases, 4Department of XXX, Faculty of XXX, City, Country including migraine, COVID-19. International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD) lists over a thousand different types of headaches. Migraine is a widely known type of primary headache. Much research supports that the enhancement in migraine intensity related to chronic migraine such as neurogenic neuroinflammation, possibly leading to increased cytokine expression via activation of protein kinases in neurons and glial cells of the trigeminovascular system like some of the other headache diseases. No currently drug class available, either specific (triptans, ergots) or non-specific (opioids, paracetamol, NSAIDs), is effective in all types of headaches, in all patients and all attacks of the same patient. However, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) minimize prostaglandin synthesis by blocking cyclooxygenase, which is included in the pathophysiology of migraine headaches. We searched the employed source was The Journal of Headache and Pain database by using NSAIDs with Headache, Migraine, and COVID-19 keywords. The search was performed from April 2021 and included 2017-2018-2019- 2020-2021 (last five years) the studies and reviews from the Journal of Headache and Face Pain Sites. Additionally, we noted the published or on-going studies, eight of these, about NSAIDs information contain searches that exist in the 12th European Headache Federation Congress (jointly with 32nd National Congress of the Italian Society) Study of Headaches’ book. Also, we included relationship migraine with COVID-19 studies to highlight the connection between the headache, which is one of the most common symptoms of both migraine and COVID-19, and the importance of managing migraine pain with NSAIDs during corona processing.

Periferik sinir tutulumu ile ilgili klinik tablolar travma, cerrahi, postural bozukluklardan kaynaklanan sıkışma ve gerilmeye bağlı veya idiopatik olarak ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Peroneal sinir genellikle fibula başı veya boyun kısmında sıkışır ve genellikle tek taraflı etkilenir. Travmalar, herediter nöropatiler, metabolik ve sistemik hastalıklar, enfeksiyonlar, Guillane Barre sendromu, gebelik, kronik inflamatuvar demiyelinizan polinöropati gibi nedenlere bağlı olarak iki taraflı peroneal etkilenme görülebilmektedir Uzun süreli postür değişikliğine bağlı peroneal etkilenme oldukça nadirdir. Olgumuzda gastroenterit nedenli uzun süreli çömelme pozisyonunun ardından bilateral düşük ayak gelişmiş ve elektrofizyolojik testler sonucunda bilateral peroneal sinir tutulumu tespit edilmiştir. Hasta uygulanan fizyoterapi programı sonrası tam düzelme göstermiştir., Clinical manifestations of peripheral nerve involvement may occur idiopathically or due to compression and tension caused by trauma, surgery, postural disorders. The peroneal nerve is usually pinched at the fibular head or neck and is usually affected unilaterally. Bilateral peroneal involvement can be seen due to causes such as traumas, hereditary neuropathies, metabolic and systemic diseases, infections, Guillane Barré syndrome, pregnancy, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. Peroneal involvement due to long-term change of posture is extremely rare. In our case, bilateral drop foot developed after prolonged squatting due to gastroenteritis and bilateral peroneal nerve involvement was detected as a result of electrophysiological tests. The patient showed complete recovery after the physiotherapy program.

Amaç: Hasta kampı MS hastalarının sosyalleşmeleri ve hastalıkları ile ilgili sorunlarını azaltmak için gerçekleştirilen bir etkinliktir. Bu gerekçe ile kamp ortamının MS hastalarının beslenmelerini etkileyebilecek yeme tutumlarının nasıl etkilendiğini belirlemek amacıyla bu çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem: Kesitsel tipteki bu çalışmaya, 6. MS hasta kampına katılan 40 hasta dahil edildi. Hastaların demografik özellikleri ve yeme davranışları anket formu ile sorgulandı. Antropometrik ölçümleri alındı. Yeme tutumları 26 maddelik Yeme Tutumu Testi (YTT-26) kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common entrapment neuropathy, which occurs as a result of the compression of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel of the wrist. The aim of this study is to evaluate the MR images of the carpal tunnel and to show the volume and volume fraction of the carpal tunnel contents to the total carpal tunnel volume in relation to CTS using the stereological methods. The study included 42 female participants (30 patients and 12 control), with age ranged between 19-60 years. Total of 80 wrists (60 patient and 20 control group) were examined. We examined the right and left sides of each participant. T1-weighted axial MR images of the wrists were done; images were analyzed using the ImageJ software. The mean volume of the carpal tunnel in patients and control were (4.16 cm³±0.59 and 3.87 cm³±0.43), respectively. Volume of carpal tunnel in patient group was found to be higher than control group (p≤0.05). The mean of the median n. volume in patients and controls were (0.398 cm³±0.081 and 0.233 cm³±0.034), respectively. The median n. volume in patient group was higher than the healthy group (p≤0.05). The mean volume fraction of the median nerve in patients and control were (9.62 cm³±1.74 and 6.02 cm³±0.72), respectively. There is significant difference for volume fraction of median nerve between patients and controls (p≤0.05).In our study, the carpal tunnel volume, median nerve volume and volume fraction werehigher in cases with CTS than those in healthy individuals. Our study is important due tosupporting the diagnosis of CTS, as well as checking the possibility and progression ofCTS by using of volumetric measurements as a marker.

Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) is an uncommon demyelinating disorder with a relapsing and remitting or continuously progressive course. Patients may have motor and sensory involvement, but generally motor involvement may be more prominent and more severe in lower extremities. CIDP is a treatable neuropathy that is challenging to diagnose and has a broad spectrum of presentations. When ranked by the descending frequency, postural tremor in the arms, peripheral nerve thickening, papilledema and facial or bulbar weakness, respiratory failure and autonomic dysfunction can be seen in patients with CIDP. Demyelinating neuropathy predominantly affects spinal roots, plexuses and proximal nerve trunks and thickened nerves can be palpable in about 10% of the patients. In patients with atypical presentation, the diagnosis of CIDP may be delayed and hypertrophic nerve roots have been reported in CIDP patients with delayed diagnosis. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) may be helpful in the diagnosis of CIDP by excluding the compressive or structural lesions that may lead to polyradiculopathy and MRI may also show hypertrophy of nerve roots and inflammatory processes in CIDP. We presented a patient with CIDP who had MRI findings of diffuse enlargement and mild enhancement of roots and extraforaminal segments of nerves in all segments. © 2014 OMU.

Paraneoplastic neurologic syndromes (PNS) are manifestations of cancers located outside the central nervous system. They appears before the diagnosis of cancer in most of the patients. Frequency among all cancer patients is 0.01%. They show close association with some kinds of cancer. These disorders occure due to stimulation of immune response by some proteins which are formed by a tumor, against both tumor and the nervous system. For diagnosis, cancer associated with paraneoplastic syndrome should be detected and antibody should be demonstrated. Neurologists should be aware of these syndromes so that appropriate diagnostic and treatment options can be applied sooner. Because the tumor examination and treatment plan should be made following the diagnosis.
