Quality of housing is a known social determinant of psychosocial well-being. The scope of empirical literature describing housing quality following homelessness is unknown. Using the five stage process described by Arksey & O'Malley (2005) and PRISMA ScR guidelines, we are conducting this scoping review. Our search strategy has been deployed in eight databases (EMBASE, CINAHL, PsycInfo, Medline, Sociological Abstracts, Proquest Social Sciences, Social Work Abstracts, Social Services Abstracts). Using Covidence, two independent raters are screening titles and abstracts, and conducting a full-text review of included studies. The findings of this review are meant to guide future research, policy and practice approaches aimed at improving the quality of housing in which individuals reside following homelessness in an effort to address some of the negative health outcomes often observed in individuals after leaving homelessness.
