Abstract: We propose plexcitonic system formed by multi-layered silver-gallium arsenide-silver (Ag-GaAs-Ag) quantum nano-lenses and study optical properties using finite difference time domain method. Plane wave expansion method reveals hybrid band-structure. Cavity defect support strongly confined mode.

Abstract: Fano-resonance in elliptical silver-nanorods is tuned for yielding high transmission in proposed plasmonic-nanocavity. Spectral distribution for the cavity over a range of wavelength reveals extraordinary transmission for telecom region, promising applications in switching and sensing.
