Abstract

The article presents a study on the efficacy of injecting intrasphincteric solution containing botulinum toxin to patients with thrombosed external haemorrhoids (TEH). The study was randomized into two groups of patients with different medication. It incorporates an anorectal manometry to patients prior to the treatment and was observed after 5 days. It concludes that the pain intensity associated with TEH was significantly reduced within 24 hours treatment of botulinum toxin.
