The article discusses the effect of financial crises to venture capital community (VC), proposing high uncertainty in the near-term availability of venture financing for telecom start up and possible weakening of technological innovation. It notes that VC struggles to harmonize rough macroeconomy with the belief in the growth drivers of telecom. It stresses that VCs will have to rely on safest bets that can have chilling effect on innovation.
