Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) were the best artificial light source for plant factories. Red light-emitting diodes (LEDs, R) and blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs, B) were used to obtain different light intensities of uniform spectra, and the greenhouse environment was considered as a comparison. The results showed that root dry weight, shoot dry weight and stem diameter were superior in plant growth under 240 μmolm-2s-1, additionally, the Dixon Quality Index (DQI) was also best. Under 240 μmolm-2s-1, the net photosynthesis rate (Pn) was consistent with the greenhouse's treatment, superior to other experimental groups. The results implied that the PPFD was more suitable for the cultivation of tomato seedlings under the condition of 240 μmolm-2s-1, and can replace the greenhouse conditions so as to save energy and reduce emissions. Epoxy thermal conductive adhesives with high thermal conductivity and dynamic mechanical properties are important thermally conductive materials for fabricating highly integrated electronic devices. In this paper, micro-Al2O3 is used as a thermally conductive filler for the epoxy resin composite and investigated the effect of micron-sized alumina particle size on the thermal conductivity and dynamic mechanical property of epoxy resin by the transient planar hot plate method and DMA (Dynamic mechanical analysis). The experimental results show that with the same amount of alumina filling, the thermal conductivity and Tg (glass transition temperature) of epoxy/Al2O3 composite material decrease with the increase of alumina particle size. The maximum thermal conductivity of the composite material is 0.679 (W/mK), while the energy storage modulus of epoxy/Al2O3 composite material increases with the increase of alumina particle size, and the maximum energy storage modulus of the composite material is 160MPa. Compared with pure epoxy resin, the thermal conductivity and energy storage modulus have increased by 2.7 and 3.2 times, respectively. The epoxy/Al2O3 composite was applied to the COB (Chips On Board) type LED package, and the substrate temperature of the LED dropped to the lowest after 1.5 hours of operation using EP-A5 composite, and the temperature was stabilized at 38.2°C, indicating that the addition of 5-micron alumina composite has the best heat dissipation in the COB type LED package. These results are critical for the implementation of particulate-filled polymer composites in practical applications because relaxed material specifications and handling procedures can be incorporated in production environments to improve efficiency. Plant detritus represents the major source of soil carbon (C) and nitrogen (N), and changes in its quantity can influence below-ground biogeochemical processes in forests. However, we lack a mechanistic understanding of how above- and belowground detrital inputs affect soil C and N in mountain forests in an arid land. Here, we explored the effects of litter and root manipulations (control (CK), doubled litter input (DL), removal of litter (NL), root exclusion (NR), and a combination of litter removal and root exclusion (NI)) on soil C and N concentrations, enzyme activity and microbial biomass during a 2-year field experiment. We found that DL had no significant effect on soil total organic carbon (SOC) and total nitrogen (TN) but significantly increased soil dissolved organic carbon (DOC), microbial biomass C, N and inorganic N as well as soil cellulase, phosphatase and peroxidase activities. Conversely, NL and NR reduced soil C and N concentrations and enzyme activities. We also found an increase in the biomass of soil bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes in the DL treatment, while NL reduced the biomass of gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and fungi by 5.15%, 17.50% and 14.17%, respectively. The NR decreased the biomass of these three taxonomic groups by 8.97%, 22.11% and 21.36%, respectively. Correlation analysis showed that soil biotic factors (enzyme activity and microbial biomass) and abiotic factors (soil moisture content) significantly controlled the change in soil C and N concentrations (P < 0.01). In brief, we found that the short-term input of plant detritus could markedly affect the concentrations and biological characteristics of the C and N fractions in soil. The antigenic variability of influenza viruses has always made influenza vaccine development challenging. The punctuated nature of antigenic drift of influenza virus suggests that a relatively small number of genetic changes or combinations of genetic changes may drive changes in antigenic phenotype. The present study aimed to identify antigenicity-associated sites in the hemagglutinin protein of A/H1N1 seasonal influenza virus using computational approaches. Random Forest Regression (RFR) and Support Vector Regression based on Recursive Feature Elimination (SVR-RFE) were applied to H1N1 seasonal influenza viruses and used to analyze the associations between amino acid changes in the HA1 polypeptide and antigenic variation based on hemagglutination-inhibition (HI) assay data. Twenty-three and twenty antigenicity-associated sites were identified by RFR and SVR-RFE, respectively, by considering the joint effects of amino acid residues on antigenic drift. Our proposed approaches were further validated with the H3N2 dataset. The prediction models developed in this study can quantitatively predict antigenic differences with high prediction accuracy based only on HA1 sequences. Application of the study results can increase understanding of H1N1 seasonal influenza virus antigenic evolution and accelerate the selection of vaccine strains. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Our previous studies showed that increased levels of cyclophilin A (CyPA) may be a valuable marker for predicting the severity of acute coronary syndromes and that interruption of CD137-CD137L interactions diminished the formation and progression of atherosclerosis in apolipoprotein E-deficient (ApoE−/−) mice. Here, we sought to determine whether the proinflammatory factor CyPA is involved in atherosclerosis regulated by CD137-CD137L interactions. Methods and Results: A constrictive collar was placed around the right carotid arteries of ApoE−/− mice that were fed a high-fat diet to induce atherosclerotic plaque formation. After that, the mice were intraperitoneally injected with anti-CD137 or anti-CD137L in the presence or absence of the recombinant lentiviral vectors LVTHM-CyPA or pGC-FU-CyPA, respectively. Interestingly, activation of CD137-CD137L was negatively correlated with CyPA expression in vivo and in vitro. Stimulating CD137-CD137L interaction significantly increased CyPA, which was concurrent with the upregulation of proinflammatory cytokines, chemokines and matrix metalloproteinases and resulted in the promotion of atherosclerosis in ApoE-/- mice. Silencing CyPA could eliminate these effects, and restoration of CyPA effectively and consistently attenuated the atherosclerotic suppression phenotypes elicited by the blockade of CD137-CD137L. Conclusion: These observations suggest that CD137-CD137L interactions mediated via regulation of CyPA contribute to the progression of atherosclerosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
