In the current study, based on grey relational similarity measure and entropy-weight, a comprehensive grey relational similarity measitie method for multi-attribute decision making (MADM) problem to evaluate the alternatives has been proposed. A new algorithm based on the same attribute value's comparison and different attribute value's synthesis for the MADM problems is also established. In this algorithm, the ideal attribute values are selected according to attribute properties. Later, the grey relational similarity measure method is used to calculate the grey value between the attribute value and the ideal attribute value in the same attribute. To compare the alternatives, the entropy-weight method is applied to determine the weights for different attributes objectively. Finally, we take the multi-attribute weapon system problem as an example to illustrate the effectiveness and validity of the proposed method. Aiming at the limitations of the algorithm of interval grey number, an improved algorithm is introduced in this paper. Firstly, the limitations of the algorithm of interval grey number are analyzed, such as irreversibility, virtual amplification, and non-closure. Then, according to the "using minimum information principle" and the algorithm of a real number and its internal requirements. an improved algorithm of interval grey number is given, and some properties of the improved algorithm of interval grey number are discussed. Finally, some examples are given to verify the effectiveness of the new algorithm. In this paper, by virtue of the combinatorial optimization and group testing method and, with a scale without weight, we detect vi coins containing at most one abnormal. The it coins are indistinguishable only by their appearances. We derive an optimal procedure of determining whether all the it balls are normal or not and in the latter case, our procedure (algorithm) also tells whether the abnormal weighs more or weighs less than each of the normals. This paper studies the situation that decision makers (DMs) have psychological thresholds (PTs) for decision criteria in solving multi-criteria decision making problems with interval grey numbers, and put a new decision process algorithm forward in which decision objectives, namely decision alternatives and decision criteria, were adjusted based on decision makers' psychological thresholds (DMs' PTs) to construct a new decision table. First of all, a new decision table on the basis of DMs' PTs was constructed. Secondly, criteria desirability functions for the efficiency criteria, cost criteria, and intermediary criteria were established, and decision makers' satisfaction degree (DMs' SD) for corresponding criteria was solved, respectively. Thirdly, decision objectives were readjusted in accordance with DMs' SD and PT, and an information aggregation algorithm model was proposed based on DMs' SD to get the optimal decision scheme. Then, DMs' house-purchase behavior was analyzed by taking practical survey data from the real estate market in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, China as example. Finally, the decision results from the algorithm proposed in this paper with those from criteria weighting algorithm based on deviation maximization and those gotten from traditional decision process algorithm were compared, so as to prove scientific rationality of the algorithm. To improving the fitting and prediction effects of the non-equal interval GM(1,1) model, based on analyzing the main factors of the error source of this model, an improved non-equal interval GM(1,1) model based on grey derivative and accumulating generation is proposed in this paper. Considering that the accumulating algorithm affects the exponential strength of the generated sequence and the geometric sequence implies the exponential form, a new algorithm for the accumulating generation of non-equal interval sequences is proposed, and a new grey derivative optimization method and parameter estimation method are proposed based on the new accumulating algorithm. Additionally, this paper infers to the accumulating algorithm of the traditional non-equidistant GM (1,1) model is an approximation of the new accumulating method in the case of a smaller development coefficient. The findings show that the model under the new parameter estimation method has several properties, including multiply transformation, does not change the fitting prediction and the white index rate coincidence. In 1990, H. J. Jeffrey wrote a paper describing what he called the Chaos Game Representation of gene structures. The Chaos Game is essentially an Iterated Function Scheme, similar to that used in the representation of the Sierpinski Triangle obtained by plotting a sequence of points generated in a somewhat random fashion. Jeffrey replaced the triangle with a square and the random selection process with the use of a DNA sequence read from its left end to the right end Observing the patterns that these sequences generated Jeffrey was able to make some fundamental observations about the genomic structure and origins of the sequence. He also noticed certain phenomena about the nature of the pattern generation. Jeffrey's paper also led to more advanced work on Chaos Game Representations by researchers in molecular biology, particularly the research groups lead by Almeida in 2001, and that of Deschavannein 1999, and followed by the work of Joseph and Sasikumar in 2006. In this paper we will develop the Chaos Game Representation and Jeffrey's conclusions. We will show how using the rational arithmetic found in Computer Algebra Systems enhances the accuracy of plotting the representations. In view of data nonuniformity and sparseness existing in recommendation schemes, this study introduces and optimizes grey system theory model in application scenarios of social network. Furthermore, a new topN recommendation scheme is proposed. Firstly, by analyzing the rating behavior of users, the factors that affect rating are discovered. To quantify the factors, time discretization method is leveraged as well as three aspects in recommendation research: user, item and context. Secondly, in regard to the problem of time nonuniformity in observed sequences, this paper changes the non-uniform sequences into equal interval, which optimizes the GM(1,N) model of grey system and expands its application scope. Finally, considering the timeliness of user preference, a time decay function is introduced for the equal interval sequences to optimize the grey forecast model and reduce its error rate in prediction. Besides, the improved grey forecast model is applied to mine the explicit relationship between user rating and relatedfactors, and construct rating prediction algorithm to improve the recommendation accuracy on the interest list of target users. In this paper we study further on a group testing problem of identifying the defective from a n-coin set containing one defective coin with a balance without weight. The defective coin is not of the same weight as each of the normal ones. Quality risk control of large-scale complex equipment with constraints has been researched based on a 'game-fishbone diagram' model in this paper. Firstly, quality risks of large-scale complex equipment were regarded as the fishbone diagram's trunk arrow nodes of the landmark events tree, and a fishbone diagram decomposition model for the quality risk of large-scale complex equipment was established in view of landmark events. GM(1,1) is mainly used for monotone sequence prediction. But when used for sequences with peaks, such as the total population, total energy consumption, etc, GM(l,l) is not a good consideration. This paper proposes a peak prediction algorithm based on the model GM(1,1) (GPPA) to forecast the development trend of the system in the long run. According to the developing law of the system, the growth infection point is analyzed and determined, and from which the growth rate of the system will be smaller and its trend can be decomposed into two parts based on the logistic curve of population growth: one is the original growth trend and the other one is the restraining trend of the retarding factors. Metabolic GM(1,1) is used to model both the two trends respectively and get the predictions of them. The difference between the predictions is used to forecast the development of the system. A new grey phase plane control algorithm is proposed to overcome the problem of low control accuracy in normal phase plane control algorithm. To guarantee the asymptotic stability and improve the ride comfort of vehicles, this paper develops the fuzzy neural network (NN) evolved bat algorithm (EBA) adaptive backstepping controller with grey signal predictors. To keep track of these ideal signals, Lyapunov's theory is proposed to acquire the control final laws. The gray DGM (2.1) models are also used to design suspension movements so that commands can be executed before the movement to achieve timely control. The convergence and stability of the whole system is also proven by the Lyapunov-like theory. The purpose of this paper is to improve the performance of the accelerometer by designing an effective hybrid noise cancellation algorithm. Firstly, the output of an accelerometer is decomposed into different layers which contain high frequency coefficients and low frequency coefficients by lifting wavelet transform (LWT) and the layers of high frequency coefficients are processed by grey accumulated generating operation (AGO); then the forward linear prediction (FLP) is employed to deal with the high frequency coefficients after grey AGO; the last step contains grey inverse accumulated generating operation (IAGO) and lifting wavelet reconstruction. The experimental and verification results show that (1) after grey accumulated generating operation, the original data become more regular with less randomness which makes it easy to be predicted and (2) compared to FLP and G-FLP algorithm, the proposed de-noising algorithm which is based on lifting wavelet transform, FLP, and grey AGO has the best de-noising effect. Due to the problems existing in the statistical data series and the complexity of the processes that Romania crossed the last years, in this paper, we combined the production function potential output method with GM(1,1) grey algorithm to obtain a better approximation of the potential output. The production function method was applied to grey Cobb-Douglas and grey CES production functions, using variable NAIRU for potential labor approximation and NAICU for potential capital stock approximation. The NAIRU estimate is an original two-step methodology based on expectation augmented Phillips curve approach and the Kalman filter approach, with NAIRU dynamics given by an AR(2) process. Using grey adjustments of the actual data for real GDP, real capital stock, and labor, we obtained satisfactory estimators for the production functions, from economic and statistic points of view. Abstract - This paper chooses scrap steel as research object, firstly we use grey relational analysis between the present phase of steel industry in China and three phases of that in developed countries according to industrial lifecycle. Then we set up GM(l,l) power model, and build objective function of least average comparative error, solve the optimized solution of its whitenization equation by particle swarm optimization algorithm. At last, apply it to forecast the demand of scrap steel for the next several years in China. In this paper, a novel algorithm of the grey model termed GME(1,1 ) is proposed. Based on the discrete form of developing coefficients â of grey model, the new grey modeling method is presented. The paper raises some numerical examples and real physical eases for model verification test. A pioneering application of grey relational analysis (GK4) to crew scheduling problems in public transport is presented. In many existing crew scheduling approaches, shift evaluation plays a crucial role, which determines the efficiency of the scheduling approaches. Based on GRA, this paper proposes a new grey shift evaluation approach, which contains eight parameters: distinguishing coefficient and the other seven parameters derived from the domain knowledge. To determine the optimal parameters, an evolutionary algorithm based on grey relational analysis (EGR.4) is proposed, in which a hybrid genetic algorithm (GA) embedded a quick local search is devised. The best schedule generated is a by-product corresponding to the resulting set of parameters. Experiments show that the EGRA can produce schedules better than the best-known solutions. Software defect prediction (SDP) is a process of predicting whether software has defects through historical data information. The existing feature selection algorithm needs to take more attention on the internal relations of features, which is important for SDP. The grey relational analysis (GRA) is introduced to describe the internal relations from the geometric similarity. The classification ability of the feature combination and the individual feature is discussed. The Banzhaf in cooperative game theory is discussed to make good evaluation on each feature. An improved feature selection approach based on One Rule (OR) algorithm for SDP is presented. The experiments are conducted on 9 datasets which are regularly used in SDP, and the results show that the proposed approach performs better than the other comparable feature selection approaches in terms of classification performance. In this paper, a fatigue lifetime prediction method of the hyper-static truss structure is established based on the improved failure mode recognition algorithms and GM(1,1) model. In the improved Failure Mode Recognition Algorithms(FMRA), a second-order logarithmic is chosen to assure choice of the Control Ambit Parameter (CAP) in the precision interval and a critical failure internal stress criterion is used to improve the efficiency of FMRA. Subsequently, by comparing the equation formula between the GM(1,1) model and the Weibull three-parameter distribution function, a new parameter estimation method of the Weibull distribution is developed to determine three parameters. The fatigue lifetime with varying levels of reliability is calculated on the basis of the Weibull distribution. To research the internal relations of fuzzy set and grey set, and to expand the application range of grey decision, this paper proposes a conversion method for grey sets of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, and studies the decision-making method based on grey relation and grey possibility degree. By integrating membership grade, non-membership grade and hesitating degree into grey membership grade decision matrix, we conform index weight by using interval grey relation method, change grey membership grade decision matrix into solution interval grey number by using index weight, and sort the solution by grey possibility degree. Most of filtering algorithms can remove noise to a large extent, but make the image edge blurred and distorted as a result of implementing uniformly across the image and thus tending to modify both noise and noise-free pixels. When an image is covered with high density noise many original information of the image can't be seen and known. That means the image could be taken as a grey system. This paper proposes an algorithm for both image denoising and image edge preserving. The proposed method is based on noise recognition and grey theory. It consists of a novel model for noise removal using grey model. This method provides only "noise" pixels for processing. Computer simulations are carried out to assess the performance of the proposed method using test images which are corrupted by 20% and 50% salt & pepper noise, respectively. Experimental results are given to demonstrate the denoising performance of our algorithm. It gives better result in visual quality and numerical results in terms of both the mean square error and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) when compared to three other existing methods. Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is a data driven self-adaptive signal processing algorithm, and is effective in analyzing nonlinear and non-stationary signal. But EMD has the serious end effect during decomposition, which leads to distortion near two ends of the signal, so end effect is the difficult point to influence this method's precision. Combined with advantages of the grey prediction model and EMD, this paper used GM(1,1)model to modify ends' extension values, and then effectively inhibit end effect by cubic interpolation envelope. Airborne direct-driven electro-mechanical actuator (DDEMA) is a newly developed electro-mechanical system with complex fault mechanism; its fault signal has non-stationary and nonlinear characteristics. It is unideal to adopt traditional time-frequency analysis method to analysis fault signals of DDEMA, because these traditional signal analysis methods can only give statistical average of dynamic signals in time or frequency domain. By applying the improved EMD based on GM(1,1) model to decompose vibration signals from fault PMSM with unbalanced rotor, obtain all Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) from the decomposition process, and then extract accurately fault characteristics and frequencies from IMFs, which contain fault information. Undulating grey model (UGM) GM(1,1|tan(k - τ)p, sin(k - τ)p) is especially useful for predicting non-linear undulating series. In order improve the modeling precision of UGM, an optimization model is constructed to obtain theoretical minimized error and solved by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm in this paper. An numerical case study show the best parameters in UGM can be identified with the highest precision. In this paper, a novel type of forward linear prediction (FLP) algorithm based on grey accumulated generating operation (AGO), which is named as Grey-FLP filter, is addressed and applied to reduce the noise interference of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG). Essentially speaking, FLP algorithm is a prediction algorithm, the prediction performance will be affected by the randomness inherent in the output of FOG To improve the performance of FLP algorithm, grey theory is introduced since of randomness reduction property. The semi-physical simulation results present the effectiveness of the proposed filtering algorithm. In this paper, we propose a method to smooth the general lower order exact penalty function in global optimization. It is shown that under some conditions, an approximation global solution of the original problem can be obtained by searching a global solution of the smoothed penalty problem. Median filter is the most common method of clears image noise. This paper proposed weighted median filtering algorithm to remove salt and pepper noises of image. According to the characteristic of salt and pepper noise, the algorithm detected image noise, established noise marked matrix, without processing the pixels marked as signal. The signal of the pixel is marked as not treated, labeled according to their pixel noise pollution in the neighborhood to take a different pixel weighted mean filter window size, weight pixel region by the noise points to determine the local histogram. Mat lab experiments show that weighted mean filter can greatly reduce the time of clears image noise, and it performs better than median filters on noise reduction while retaining edges of an image. This paper presents a generalized GM(1,1) model based on the traditional GM (1,1) model firstly. Then it combines the generalized GM(1,1) model and the theory of neural network to establish a new forecasting model, i.e. GGNNM(1,1) model. Thirdly, it gives an algorithm for solving this new model. Finally, this new model is applied in forecasting the amount of mine gas emission. To overcome the shortcoming of the algorithm based on the classical grey relational analysis in the transformation of matrix of pixels to sequence, the grey relational analysis is extended in this paper, and a matrix absolute degree of grey incidences is presented. Then a novel algorithm of image edge detection is proposed which is based on matrix absolute degree of grey incidences. In the new algorithm, the characteristics of pixels are analyzed to decide non-edge referential matrix and the matrix to be compared, and the matrix absolute degree of grey incidences is employed to distinguish non-edge pixels and edge pixels. Finally the results of the experiments show that the proposed algorithm can gain more precise edges than some traditional methods, and can also tolerate some noises. Furthermore the quantity of edges ca be controlled by adjusting threshold of degree of grey incidences. So the technique is a new effective adjustable method of edge detection. The paper presents a fuzzy PID control algorithm based on grey forecast used to study toot-end's trajectory tracking of walking robot. Taking single-led mechanism of six-legged walking robot as study object, using multi-body dynamics modeling software (ADAMS) to establish single-leg virtual prototype model in accordance with the actual geometric parameters and kinematics parameters. The virtual prototype model directly generates dynamic equation as the simulation model of controlled object. In this paper, we propose a signed distance grey fuzzy sliding mode controller (SDGFSMC) that is implemented on the Texas Instruments TMS320LF2407A digital signal processor (DSP). The feature of the SDGFSMC is that it only needs a single grey fuzzy input. The advantage of the approach is that the total number of rules has been greatly reduced comparing with the conventional fuzzy control. Due to its limited of computation ability, the low-cost general-purpose micro-controller or microprocessors is difficult to implement advanced real-time algorithms for industrial applications. In this paper, an optimal adaptive transform coding system based on GRA is proposed. First, the grey K-means algorithm (GKA) based on GRA is given. Then the GKA is used to find representative image blocks and a set of masks. The set of GRA-based masks is then applied to the selection of transform coefficients. It is shown that the set of GRA-based masks is optimal in the sense of minimum average energy loss. Simulation results are provided to justify the proposed optimal transform coding system and to compare with JPEG in terms of PSNR and bit rate. An adaptive neural network internal model control algorithm is studied in this paper. A PMSM control system is established in Matlab/Simulink. The certainty equivalence principle of adaptive internal model control is combined with neural network to obtain an adaptive neural network internal model control (ANNIMC). Schemes guarantee the stability and disturbance rejection. Comparing with the traditional PI control system, its advantage is obvious. The simulation results show that the adaptive neural network internal model has good adaptive performance and can reject load disturbance. In this paper, we use the grey relational analysis to solve the clock routing with minimal clock skew in SoC. Experimental results show that our approach can reduce the clock skew up to I7.02%∼29.33% and 19.33%∼20.01% in average than that of MMM and GMA algorithms, respectively. In mobile ad hoc networks (MANET), nodes move freely and the distribution of access requests changes dynamically. Replica allocation in such a, dynamic environment, is a significant challenge. In this paper, a dynamic adaptive replica allocation algorithm that can adapt to the nodes motion is proposed to minimize the communication cost of object access. When changes occur in the access requests of the object or the network topology, each replica node collects access requests from its neighbors and makes decisions locally to expand replica to neighbors or to relinquish the replica. The algorithm dynamically adapts the replica allocation scheme to a local optimal one. k-anonymity is an effective method of privacy preserving. However, some traditional k-anonymity models do not capture diversity and dispersibility of sensitive values in each equivalence class, which makes the privacy disclosure of anonymity table occur easily. In this paper, an advanced (k, g)-anonymity model for numerical data is proposed, and a (k, g)-MDAV algorithm is designed to achieve (k, g)-algorithm.
