A nickel-catalyzed synthesis of hydrazoarenes utilizing NH3BH3 in water has been developed. This simple synthesis, facilitated by a nickel catalyst, exhibits excellent chemoselectivity, with 22 examples provided without the need for any column chromatography. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are promising for power batteries because of their high energy density and working voltage, but the high accident rate caused by the flammable electrolyte and constantly accumulating heat scares consumers and restricts their market. Herein, a novel heat storage ionomer binder (HSIB) with highly efficient heat-storage ability is proposed to function as an internal temperature conditioner, which can effectively store heat and accommodate temperature rise, allowing the battery to function steadily over a wider temperature range while not significantly increasing the weight or volume of the battery. A nail test and thermal simulation demonstrate that HSIB can decrease the temperature rise of the cell by about 30% and reduce the risk of thermal runaway due to the heat storage ability of the polyethylene glycol (PEG) main body. The assembled LiFePO4 (LFP) cell with HSIB shows lower polarization (ΔV decreased by 25 mV over PVDF) in a CV test owing to fast Li+ diffusion pathways constructed by the binder, and extra capacity and higher capacity retention of 14.38% are achieved. Moreover, an LFP cell with HSIB shows good thermal endurance in a designed temperature variation test, suggesting that HSIB offers a novel practical solution for battery safety. The utilization of cost-effective and excellent precious metal-free catalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) working in alkaline media is of paramount importance to meet the growing demand for hydrogen energy, yet it remains a major challenge because of the slow water dissociation kinetics. Herein, a series of cation metal-doped MoSe2-based catalysts with enriched edge active sites using a straightforward one-pot hydrothermal treatment are designed, which concurrently consider the modulation of the electronic environment and effective exposure of active sites via nanostructure engineering. It was found that the NiFe atoms incorporated into MoSe2 (denoted as NiFe@MoSe2 hereafter) could remarkably alter the electronic configuration of the reactive species, enhance the conductivity, and facilitate the electron and mass transfer to accelerate the alkaline HER. Moreover, the highly nanopetal architecture assembled by plenty of NiFe@MoSe2 nanosheets could effectively inhibit undesirable active site masking and evaluate the overall mechanical robustness of the electrode. Consequently, the as-designed NiFe@MoSe2 electrode only required 146 mV to achieve 10 mA cm−2 with a Tafel slope of 79 mV dec−1 in a basic environment, which is superior to the majority of the reported MoSe2-based nanomaterials. This work reports an efficient sulfonylation reaction enabled by a visible-light-induced radical coupling reaction between phenyl/heterocyclic diazonium salts and sulfinates. Mechanistic experiments disclosed the formation of a versatile electron donor–acceptor (EDA) complex. It has been shown in many studies that kirenol is a diterpene with significant biological activity. In this study, thirty-one kirenol derivatives were synthesized. The structures of thirty-one kirenol derivatives were established using IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and LC-MS spectroscopic data. Among them, twenty-nine kirenol derivatives were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities and anti-inflammatory activities. In MTT analysis, all tested compounds showed weak cytotoxicity. Cultured macrophage RAW 264.7 cells were used for the anti-inflammatory experiments. Griess assay was used to evaluate the inhibitory effect of all tested compounds on the overproduction of nitric oxide (NO). The preliminary bioassay test suggested that all of the kirenol derivatives showed strong anti-inflammatory activity. In particular, seven compounds showed better activities than the positive control. We believe that these compounds have greater potential for future druggability and improvement of human health. Transition metal phosphates have shown great potential as nanozymes for selective detection of reactive oxygen species (ROS), but its application has been hindered by the complicated synthesis and difficulty in shape and size control. Herein, we present a facile method to fabricate transition metal phosphates by using hollow carbon structures as substrates. Manganese phosphate is a typical Nanozyme used in this design and the shape and size of the Mnx(PO4)y layer can be efficiently controlled by altering the carbon substrates. Characterization demonstrated that Mnx(PO4)y layer modified hollow carbon sphere (Mn-MPSA-HCS) and hollow carbon cubic (Mn-MPSA-HCC) were successfully prepared and used as nanozymes for superoxide detection. The established electrochemical sensor was employed in the online monitoring of drug stimulated superoxide anions released from cancer cells. This method can be adapted as a general way to prepare transition metal phosphate layers with various controllable shapes and sizes as nanozymes for different uses in the future.
