Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 60-year old smoker man suffering with Buerger's disease (BD) and Leucocytoclastic vasculitis (LV). It started with a foot pain, ischaemic digits and itching rashes on his lower forelegs. Skin biopsy diagnosed LV. A treatment with prednisolone cured him. 6 weeks later his gangrenous digits required amputation. 2 years later his below knee leg had to be amputated. Examination of amputated specimen reported BD. He recovered only when he had stopped smoking.
