The article deals with the issues surrounding the proposed modifications to U.S. paper currency so that blind people can distinguish between the types of bills. The American Council of the Blind has already sued and won against the Treasury Department for its indifference and inaction in modifying U.S. bills so that they are distinguishable to the blind. Still, many oppose the changes because of the cost of redesigning the bills and the modifications required for vending machines to read the new modified bills.
