Today, with increasing access to the internet and portable computing tools, the possibility of utilizing these tools in education has significantly expanded. Consequently, various tools have been introduced for creating and developing content and designing mobile-based educational courses. One of the essential and widely used tools for content creation and mobile-based course development is the MIT App Inventor tool, developed by a group of researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It requires guidance on using this technology tool for content production in designing and implementing practical educational courses in health-related domains. This article aims to introduce the App Inventor software and its utilization in Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). The tool is particularly beneficial for individuals outside the tech industry who seek to incorporate educational applications into teaching and learning processes.

Background: There are still conflicting results on thepostoperative consequences of patients with hip and femoralfractures based on the type of anesthesia. The aim of this studywas to compare mortality and morbidity of general and spinalanesthesia in patients undergoing hip and femoral fractures.Methods: In this analytical cross-sectional study, the informationof 93 patients who had undergone hip and femoral surgery withgeneral and spinal anesthesia was studied during 2011-2019 inthe medical records by census method. Data were analyzed usingSPSS 23 software and descriptive and analytical statistics.Results: The general anesthesia group consisted of 29 patientsand the spinal anesthesia group included 64 patients. The twogroups were the same in terms of demographic information,preoperative hemodynamic variables, and previous medicalhistory. The results of the independent t-test with a significancelevel of 5% did not show a significant difference between thetwo groups in the following variables: mean duration of surgeryand duration of anesthesia, mean arterial pressure and heartrate after surgery, changes in blood pressure, and heart rateduring surgery, bleeding, intravenous fluids and blood productsintake, postoperative hemoglobin, number of days hospitalizedin the Intensive Care Unit and surgical ward. The mean postoperative mean arterial pressure score in the general anesthesiagroup was significantly higher than the spinal group (P=0.004).Complications and mortality after surgery did not differ betweenthe two types of anesthesia.Conclusion: In general, these two methods of anesthesia do notdiffer from each other in terms of postoperative complications andmortality, and physicians can choose the appropriate anesthesiamethod according to the specific conditions of the patients

Background: Along with an increase in the rate of cesarean sections, the complications and problems associated with this procedure have also increased in Iran. Factors such as complications associated with caesarean scars, the high cost of chemical treatments, and failure of medications in treatments have led to an increased use of traditional and biological therapies in the healing and preventing of cesarean wound infections. Objective: To determine the effect of an amniotic membrane dressing on cesarean wound healing. Methods: This study is a prospective, randomized double-blind clinical trial. Patients participating in the study were women who underwent cesarean sections at Amir-al-Momenin Hospital in Gerash, Iran. Patients were randomly divided into two groups (N = 45 for each group). In one group, the cesarean wound was dressed using an amniotic membrane; in the control group, the dressing was performed using a simple dressing. The wound healing was assessed by the Redness, Edema, Ecchymosis, Discharge, Approximation (REEDA) scale 24 hours and 8 days after the cesarean procedure. Results: The average REEDA score, reflecting wound healing was significantly different between the groups 24 hours after the cesarean section, which proved to be less in the amniotic membrane group (.00 ± .00 vs. 0.60 ± 1.30; P = .003). However, on the 8th day after the cesarean section, there was no significant difference between the groups (P = 0.078). Conclusions: The findings of this study showed that the application of an amniotic membrane dressing can be helpful in early stage wound healing of cesarean.
