Phyllodes tumor accounts for less than 1% of all breast neoplasms. These tumors are fast growing masses arising from the periductal stromal cells of the breast. We report a case of phyllodes in a 25 year old primigravida who presented to us at 18 weeks of pregnancy with mass of right breast which appeared 15 days back. She gave history of some mass in right breast for which she was operated 1 year back for which no details or papers were available. On examination there was a tumor in Right breast of about 20x15x11 cm size.ANC examination showed uterus of 18 wks size, FHS 140/min, regular. Patient underwent FNAC and biopsy from the mass which was suggestive of malignant Phyllodes tumor. Patient was prepared for mastectomy and along with surgical team right mastectomy with right axillary lymph node dissection was done. Post-operative period was uneventful. Histopathological examination showed increased cellularity and nuclear atypia suggestive of malignant phyllodes tumour and lymph nodes were negative. We concluded that accurate preoperative pathological diagnosis is very important for management of phyllodes tumor, and allows correct surgical planning and avoidance of reoperation.

Introduction: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a common clinical presentation in gynecology. Method: 100 Patient of clinically diagnosed AUB were taken from gynecology OPD. Result: Out of 100 women of AUB, majority were in the age group of 31-40 years (38%), 54% were multiparous and 44% presented with menorrhagia. Conclusion: The study concludes that biochemical evaluation of thyroid function is an easy, reliable method and should be made mandatory in all cases of AUB.

Objective : This prospective study was conducted to compare t he effect, efficacy & safety of intra-vaginal misop rostol (PGE 1) & intra-cervical dinoprostone gel (PGE 2) for in duction of labour. Methods: 100 women aged 16-35 years with single live fetus, cephalic presentation & term pregnancy, who were admitted for induction of labour were included in this study. 50women received intrvaginal 50 microgram Misoprostol(study group) & 50 women received 0.5mg of intracervical dinoprostone gel(control group). Comparison was done between the mean time taken for onset of labour, time taken for induction to delivery, mean duration of labour, r equirement of Oxytocin augmentation, mode of delivery, side effects & the neonatal outcome in either of the groups. Results: The mean time taken for onset of labour was less i n the misoprostol group than in the dinoprostone group (43.22 min v/s 1 hr 40 min). Similarly duration from induction to activ e phase (1hr 42 min v/s 4hrs 10 min)and active phase to delivery ( 3 hrs 06 min v/s 4 hrs 54 min) was less for misoprostol gro up and thus the induction to delivery interval (5 hrs 02 min v/s 11 hrs 12 min). None of the study group patients requi red Oxytocin augmentation. Cesarean section rate was less in mis oprostol group (6% v/s 22%). Maternal side effects were minimal in either group & the neonatal outcome was good in both the groups. The induction cost was much less in t he misoprostol group. Conclusion : Misoprostol is safe, efficacious, cheap and moth er and fetus friendly drug for the induction of lab our.
