Abstract

A prenatal mobile Personal Health Records (mPHR), along with an Electronic Health Records (EHR) are, respectively, exploited in order to permit both the pregnant women and gynecologists or obstetricians monitor the pregnancy progress in the best conditions. For this intent, a complete solution consisting of a prenatal mPHR and an EHR were developed for the maternity “Les Orangers” of the Avicenne University Hospital in Rabat. The complete solution provides the main functionalities of a prenatal service. Thereafter, the solution will be validated by conducting an experiment for quality and potential assessment. Hence, a recruitment process has been determined to identify the eligibility criteria to enroll participants (pregnant women and gynecologists), in addition to planning the course of the experiment.

Abstract

The Saiss basin has long been the subject of numerous geological studies owing to its paleogeographic location in the western part of the South Rifian—Corridor that linked the Mediterranean to the Atlantic during the Tortonian–early Messinian (Cirac in Memoires de l’Institut de Geologie du bassin d’Aquitaine 21:1–287, 1987 [3]; Wernli in Notes Et Memoires du Service geologique du Maroc 331:1–270, 1988 [9]; Zizi in Triassic–Jurassic extension and Alpine inversion in the northern Morocco, pp 87–101, 1996 [10]). The Miocene-Pliocene sedimentary series deposited in Sais basin have recorded the different biostratigraphic events, environmental, tectonic and eustatic factors that preceded the Messinian salinity crisis. The current data on the closure of the North and South Rifian corridors are conflicting and it cannot explain the thick evaporitic series accumulated during the Messinian salinity crisis (Capella et al. in Earth Sci. Rev. S0012–8252:30217–30219, 2018 [2]; Flecker et al. Earth Sci. Rev. 150:365–392, 2015 [4]). Does exist any other communication links between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea? To resolve this issue, it must be established an accurate framework to the studied basin, delineated the vegetation evolution during the Tortonian–Messinian. Therefore, it may redound to understanding all environmental, climatic and eustatic events that led to the Messinian salinity crisis, also to typify communications evolution between Atlantic and Mediterranean gateways across the southern Rifian corridor during the Upper Miocene.

Abstract

Mobile Personal Health Records (mPHRs) for prenatal care are mobile health applications that allow pregnant women manage, access and share their health data with healthcare providers. In this paper, a requirements catalog was developed, according to standards, guidelines and relevant literature. The catalog covers requirements about Sustainability, Internationalization (i18n), Operability, Reliability, Functional suitability and Performance efficiency. The usefulness of this catalog consists in conducting audit evaluations of prenatal care mPHRs, in addition to helping stakeholders and developers identify potential requirements for their mPHRs.

Abstract

An empirical evaluation of the Common Software Measurement International Consortium (COSMIC) method has been conducted in this study, by measuring the functional size of 17 mobile Personal Health Records (mPHRs) for pregnancy monitoring. The aim of this evaluation is to compare the functional size of each app measured using the COSMIC method to the score of the app obtained in a previous evaluation that relied on functions extraction using a quality assessment questionnaire. The shift between the rankings of both evaluations was small for the majority of the selected apps. Therefore the findings of this study support the use of the COSMIC method for these apps in regards to measuring the functional size for further updates or improvements. Moreover, the use of COSMIC is more effective since it covers the full features and functionalities of mPHRs for pregnancy monitoring.
