Testicular cancer is a common genitourinary malignancy among men which can be treated successfully with excellent survival outcomes. Reviewing new studies and national guidelines, we provide an overview of radiotherapy management for seminoma and nonseminoma germ cell tumors. Modern radiotherapy employs volume and dose reduction strategies to better limit the adverse effects associated with radiation treatment. Radiotherapy fields have also evolved toward anatomical fields based on vascular and lymph node contouring and expansion, rather than bony landmarks. We also review epidemiology, diagnosis and workup, pathology, staging, simulation and treatment planning considerations, prognostic indicators of relapse, follow-up protocols, and sequelae of radiotherapy.
