The medical management of venous ulcers consists of four steps, some of which have been discussed previously. These are (1) confirm the venous nature of the ulcer; (2) eliminate or minimize the underlying cause; (3) create the proper local environment for healing, and (4) use aggressive ancillary measures when necessary.

Even though a greatest number of these pigmentations whithin two years fades gradually(2), they are responsible of a patients refusal of sclerotherapy.

To clinically evaluate the interest of elastic compression tights as unique dressing after varicose surgery.
