In recent years, the prevalence of allergic diseases has increased significantly, causing great concern, and wheat, as one of the top 8 food allergens, is a common allergy trigger. Nevertheless, reliable estimates of the positivity rate of wheat allergens in the allergic population in China are still lacking. The systematic review and meta-analysis aims to evaluate the positive detection rate of wheat allergens in the Chinese allergic population and further provide a reference for the prevention of allergy. CNKI, CQVIP, WAN-FANG DATA, Sino Med, PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Embase databases were retrieved. Related research and case reports about the positive rate of wheat allergen in the Chinese allergic population published from inception to June 30, 2022, were searched, and meta-analysis was performed using Stata software. The pooled positive rate of wheat allergens and 95% confidence interval were calculated by random effect models, and the publication bias was evaluated using Egger's test. A total of 13 articles were included for the final meta-analysis, in which wheat allergen detection methods involved only serum sIgE testing and SPT assessment. The results showed that the wheat allergen positivity detection rate in Chinese allergic patients was 7.30% (95% CI 5.68–8.92%). Subgroup analysis showed that the positivity rate of wheat allergens was influenced by region, but hardly by age and assessment method. The positive rates of wheat allergy in the population with allergic diseases were 2.74% (95% CI 0.90–4.58%) and 11.47% (95% CI 7.08–15.87%) in southern and northern China, respectively. In particular, the positive rates of wheat allergens were greater than 10% in Shaanxi, Henan and Nei Mongol, all of which belong to the northern region. These results suggest that wheat allergens are an important cause of sensitization in allergic populations from northern China, and therefore attention should be paid to early prevention in high-risk populations. The growth of the manufacturing industry is the engine of rapid economic growth in developing regions. Characterizing the geographical distribution of manufacturing firms is critically important for scientists and policymakers. However, data on the manufacturing industry used in previous studies either have a low spatial resolution (or fuzzy classification) or high-resolution information is lacking. Here, we propose a map point-of-interest classification method based on machine learning technology and build a dataset of the distribution of Chinese manufacturing firms called the Gridded Manufacturing Dataset. This dataset includes the number and type of manufacturing firms at a 0.01° latitude by 0.01° longitude scale. It includes all manufacturing firms (classified into seven categories) in China in 2015 (4.56 million) and 2019 (6.19 million). This dataset can be used to characterize temporal and spatial patterns in the distribution of manufacturing firms as well as reveal the mechanisms underlying the development of the manufacturing industry and changes in regional economic policies. Our study aimed to investigate the epidemiological and molecular characteristics of isolates collected from Group A Streptococcus (GAS) infections in children in Beijing China during the year 2019. Emm typing, superantigens, and erythromycin resistance genotypes were determined by PCR. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed as recommended by Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). A total of 271 GAS isolates were collected. Thirteen different emm types, including 31 subtypes, were identified. The most prevalent emm types were emm12 (52.77%), emm1 (36.9%), emm3.1 (2.95%), and emm75.0 (2.95%). Two variant subtypes, STC36.0 and STG840.2, were identified. There was no difference in the portion of emm12 and emm1 isolates in scarlet fever, impetigo, and psoriasis. The majority of superantigens detected were smeZ (94.46%), speC (91.14%), and ssa (74.91%), followed by speH (56.46%), speI (45.76%), speJ (36.9%), and speA (34.32%). More scarlet fever isolates harbored speA (35.6%) and speJ (38.4%), more psoriasis isolates harbored speI (57.9%), and more impetigo isolates harbored ssa (89.7%). Isolates were universally susceptible to penicillin and resistant to erythromycin (94.83%). Moreover, 89.67% erythromycin resistance isolates harbored the ermB gene. The erythromycin resistance rate of the isolates from the three diseases was different. Scarlet fever is the common streptococcal infectious disease in dermatology. Emm12 and emm1 were the most prevalent emm types. The most prevalent superantigens detected were smeZ, spec, and ssa. There is association between diversity of superantigens and disease manifestation. Hence, continuous surveillance of GAS molecular epidemiological characterizations in different diseases is needed. Banana streak virus (BSV) is the causal agent of the most prevalent diseases in banana and causes serious economic losses to banana production worldwide. To examine variability in BSV, 65 isolates were obtained from 99 samples collected from Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi and Yunnan provinces in South China. The 65 BSV isolates shared 62.8–97.8% nt identity over the RT/RNase H regions when compared to eight BSV species with published complete genomes. Sequence and phylogenetic analyses based on the RT/RNase H region indicated that there was great genetic diversity among BSV isolates in South China, and some isolates belonged to species of badnavirus that had never before been reported in China, including banana streak OL virus (BSOLV) (DN6–2), banana streak IM virus (BSIMV) (DN1–7 and DN5–1), and banana streak VN virus (BSVNV) (YLJ-8). The full genomes of two isolates (DN5–1and DN5–4) were cloned and sequenced. The genetic characteristics of both isolates were very close to those of typical badnaviruses. Based on percentage nucleotide sequence identity and phylogenetic relationships, DN5–1 was categorized as BSIMV. Interestingly, while DN5–4 was similar to both sugarcane bacilliform viruses (SCBVs) and BSVs based on sequence identities of the RT/RNase H region, analysis of its complete sequence and genome organization revealed that it can be further classified as sugarcane bacilliform Guadeloupe A virus-2 (SCBGAV-2). To our knowledge, this is the first report of natural infection of banana by SCBGAV-2 in China. Tuberculosis, a severe infectious disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis, arouses huge concerns globally. In this study, a total of 331,594 TB cases in Zhejiang Province were notified during the period of 2009–2018 with the gender ratio of male to female 2.16:1. The notified TB incidences demonstrated a continuously declining trend from 75.38/100,000 to 52.25/100,000. Seasonally, the notified TB cases presented as low in January and February closely followed an apparent rise in March and April. Further stratification analysis by both genders demonstrated the double peak phenomenon in the younger population ("15–35") and the elders (">55") of the whole group. Results from the rate difference (RD) analysis showed that the rising TB incidence mainly presented in the young group of "15–20" and elder group of "65–70", implying that some implementations such as the increased frequency of checkup in specific student groups and strengthening of elder health examination could be explored and integrated into available health policy. The fate and exposure of chemicals in sewage treatment plants (STPs) are major considerations in risk assessment and environmental regulation. The biodegradability and removal of seven aromatic amines were systematically evaluated using a three-tiered integrated method: a standard ready biodegradability test, an aerobic sewage treatment simulation method, and model prediction. In tier 1, the seven aromatic amines were not readily biodegraded after 28 days. In adapted aerobic active sludge, 4-isopropyl aniline, 2,4-diaminotoluene, and 4-nitroaniline among them exhibited the degradation half-life time less than 20 h, the other four aromatic amines exhibited persistent with degradation half-life of > 60 h. In tier 2 of the aerobic sewage treatment simulation testing, 2,4-diaminotoluene, 4-nitroaniline, and 4-isopropylaniline demonstrated moderately to high overall removal. Hydraulic retention time (HRT) affects the removal with the optimum HRT was determined to be 12 h to 24. 2,6-Dimethyl aniline, 2-chloro-4-nitroaniline, 2,6-diethylaniline, and 3,4-dichloroaniline were not removed during the test, indicting these four aromatic amines will enter surface water and hence pose a potential risk to aquatic ecology. Considering the lack of an STP model in China for regulation purposes, in tier 3, we developed a Chinese STP (aerobic) (abbreviated as C-STP(O)) model that reflects a universal scenario for China to predict the fate. The predicted degradation, volatilization, and absorption showed a close relationship to the physicochemical properties of the chemicals, and had same tendency with tier 2 simulation test. The prediction showed that biodegradation rather than absorption or volatilization was the main removal process of aromatic amines in aerobic STP. Urbanization influences hydrologic cycle significantly on local, regional even global scale. With urbanization the water resources demand for dense population sharpened, thus it is a great challenge to ensure water supply for some metropolises such as Beijing. Urban area is traditionally considered as the area with lower evapotranspiration (ET) on account of the impervious surface and the lower wind speed. For most remote sensing models, the ET, defined as latent heat in energy budget, is estimated as the difference between net radiation and sensible heat. The sensible heat is generally higher in urban area due to the high surface temperature caused by heat island, therefore the latent heat (i.e. the ET) in urban area is lower than that in other region. We estimated water consumption from 2003 to 2012 in Beijing based on water balance method and found that the annual mean ET in urban area was about 654 mm. However, using Surface Energy Balance System (SEBS) model, the annual mean ET in urban area was only 348 mm. We attributed this inconsistence to the impact of anthropogenic heat and quantified this impact on the basis of the night-light maps. Therefore, a new model SEBS-Urban, coupling SEBS model and anthropogenic heat was developed to estimate the ET in urban area. The ET in urban area of Beijing estimated by SEBS-Urban showed a good agreement with the ET from water balance method. In order to understand the status of Salmonella contamination of feed production chain in Karst rural areas, southwest of China, a total of 1077 feed samples including animal feed materials and feed products were randomly collected from different sectors of feed chain covering feed mills, farms, and feed sales in nine regions of Karst rural areas between 2009 and 2012, to conduct Salmonella test. The different positive rates with Salmonella contamination were detected, the highest was 4.7 % in 2009, the lowest was 0.66 % in 2011, while 4.3 % in 2010, 2.8 % in 2012, respectively. Twelve types of feed including concentrate, complete, self-made, and feed ingredients were inspected. Salmonella contamination mainly concentrated on animal protein material such as meat meal, meat and bone meal, feather meal, blood meal, and fish meal. No Salmonella contamination was detected in feed yeast, microbial protein, rapeseed, and soybean meal. Salmonella contamination existed in each sector of feed production chain. The mean particulate polybrominated dibenzo- p-dioxins/furans (PBDD/Fs) levels for Guangzhou were in the range of 225-2244 fg/m and showed the spatial trend of background < suburb areas < urban area < industrial area, suggesting the industrial and urban sources of PBDD/Fs. The most abundant congeners were 2,3,7,8-TBDF, 1,2,3,7,8-PeBDF and 2,3,4,7,8-PeBDF. The mean toxicity equivalency quantities (TEQs) of PBDD/Fs were in the range of 89.3-456 fg I-TEQ/m for Guangzhou, which were several times higher than that of the background area (49.1 fg I-TEQ/m).
