Background: Given the rising prevalence of depression among older adults and the associated increase in caregiving responsibilities, understanding factors influencing caregiver burden is crucial. Previous research has not extensively explored the impact of caregivers’ attributional styles, that is, how individuals interpret the causes of life events, on their care burden. Aim: This study examined the relationship between caregivers’ attributional styles and their care burden for older patients with depression. Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled older adults aged ≥ 65 years diagnosed with depression and their caregivers. Depression was diagnosed according to the DSM-V criteria for Major Depressive Disorder or Persistent Depressive Disorder. Caregivers completed the Chinese Depression Caregiver Burden Scale (CDCBS) to assess care burden, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D) to evaluate patient symptom severity, the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D) for measuring caregivers’ depression, and the Chinese Depression Patient Caregiver Attribution Style Scale (CDPCAS) to assess attributional styles. Hierarchical regression analysis was used to identify the factors independently associated with the caregiver’s subjectively assessed care burden. Results: The sample included 146 caregivers of geriatric patients with depression. Most depression patients were women (74.7%) with a mean age of 74.3 years, whereas the mean age of caregivers was 57.7 years. Hierarchical regression analysis identified that caregivers’ gender (β = − 0.14, p =.044), educational level (β = 0.19, p =.008), caregivers’ own depression assessed by the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (β = 0.41, p <.001), and attributional styles, particularly manipulation (β = 0.29, p <.001) and illness/stress attributional style (β = 0.23, p =.002) as independent factors associated with care burden. Patient symptom severity assessed using the Hamilton Depression Scale was not significantly correlated with care burden after controlling for attributional styles. Conclusions: Certain attributional styles, particularly the manipulation and illness/stress attributional styles, significantly increased self-reported care burden. These findings highlight the need for educational resources to change the attribution style, along with support systems and accessible mental health services for caregivers to potentially ease the care burden. We theoretically study the orbital-resolved photoelectron momentum distributions (PMDs) of neon atoms in time-delayed bichromatic elliptically polarized attosecond pulses by numerically solving the two-dimensional time-dependent Schrödinger equation (2D-TDSE). The active electron can reach the continuum state at the same momentum by absorbing m 2 high-energetic photons or m 1 low-energetic photons sequentially, and coherent electron wave packets (CEWPs) from these two pathways can interfere with each other. We show the PMDs exhibit an asymmetrical round when the single-photon ionization channel dominates, while spiral structures with the number of arms are m 1 - m 2 ( m 1 + m 2 ) for the corotating (counter-rotating) scheme. Furthermore, we find that interference patterns in PMDs are sensitive to the amplitude ratio, frequency combinations, dichroism, time delay and ellipticity of bichromatic elliptically polarized attosecond pulses, which offers possibilities for controlling the interference of CEWPs in atoms by shaping the bichromatic elliptically polarized attosecond pulses. The current popular methods for decision making and project optimisation in mine ventilation contain a number of deficiencies as they are solely based on either subjective knowledge or objective information. This paper presents a new approach to rank the alternatives by G1-coefficient of variation method. The focus of this approach is the use of the combination weighing, which is able to compensate for the deficiencies in the method of evaluation index single weighing. In the case study, an appropriate evaluation index system was established to determine the evaluation value of each ventilation mode. Then the proposed approach was used to select the best development face ventilation mode. The result shows that the proposed approach is able to rank the alternative development face ventilation mode reasonably, the combination weighing method had the advantages of both subjective and objective weighing methods in that it took into consideration of both the experience and wisdom of experts, and the new changes in objective conditions. The concepts of rock strength intervals are presented in this work, furthermore, central values of intervals and their corresponding credibility are provided using two-case study based on blind data theory and fuzzy interval estimation. 60 granite specimens are first tested, the compressive strength interval and tensile strength interval are [103.68, 219.61] and [7.53, 11.86] MPa, while the tested mean values of compressive strength and tensile strength are 152.86 and 10.14 MPa, the credibilities are less than 58.4% and around 70.4%, respectively, the credibility of shear strength is between 40% and 60%. Then 70 other rock specimens are designed and tested, the similar conclusions can be reached. The results show that the conventional definite values are the particular values within the intervals, and the credibility of them often fails to reach the high-precision engineering requirement. The results demonstrate the feasibility and application potential of this proposed algorithm for the engineering practice. The references for engineering value selection of rock strength under different credibility or according to frequency distribution of central values are provided to increase the reliability and precision of calculation. Environmental risk assessment of tailings reservoir assessment system is complex and has many index factors. In order to accurately judge surrounding environmental risks of tailings reservoirs and determinate the corresponding prevention and control work, multi-hierarchical fuzzy judgment and nested dominance relation of rough set theory are implemented to evaluate them and find out the rules of this evaluation system with 14 representative cases. The methods of multi-hierarchical fuzzy evaluation can overall consider each influence factor of risk assessment system and their mutual impact, and the index weight based on the analytic hierarchy process is relatively reasonable. Rough set theory based on dominance relation reduces each index attribute from the top down, largely simplifies the complexity of the original evaluation system, and considers the preferential information in each index. Furthermore, grey correlation theory is applied to analysis of importance of each reducted condition attribute. In the case of unknown weights, theories of multi-attributed decision making based on interval numbers and grey related analysis were used to optimize mining methods. As the representative of independence for the indicator, the smaller the correlation of indicators is, the greater the weight is. Hence, the weights of interval numbers of indicators were determined by using correlation coefficient. Relative closeness based on positive and negative ideal methods was calculated by introducing distance between interval numbers, which made decision making more rational and comprehensive. A new method of ranking interval numbers based on normal distribution was proposed for the optimization of mining methods, whose basic properties were discussed. To tackle the key-exposure problem in signature settings, this paper introduces a new cryptographic primitive named threshold key-insulated signature (TKIS) and proposes a concrete TKIS scheme. For a TKIS system, at least k out of n helpers are needed to update a user's temporary private key. On the one hand, even if up to k−1 helpers are compromised in addition to the exposure of any of temporary private keys, security of the non-exposed periods is still assured. On the other hand, even if all the n helpers are compromised, we can still ensure the security of all periods as long as none of temporary private keys is exposed. Compared with traditional key-insulated signature (KIS) schemes, the proposed TKIS scheme not only greatly enhances the security of the system, but also provides flexibility and efficiency. In an identity based proxy signature (IBPS) scheme, a designated proxy signer can generate the signature on behalf of an original signer. Traditional IBPS schemes normally rely on the assumption that private keys are kept perfectly secure. However, due to viruses, worms or other break-ins allowed by operating-system holes, key exposure seems inevitable. To minimize the damage caused by key exposure in IBPS, we propose an identity-based key-insulated proxy signature (IBKIPS) scheme in the standard model, i.e. without random oracles. In this study a new dynamic model of a rotor system is established based on the Hamilton principle and the finite element method (FEM). We analyze the dynamic behavior of the rotor system with the coupled effects of the nonlinear oil film force, the nonlinear seal force, and the mass eccentricity of the disk. The equations of the motion are solved effectively using the fourth order Runge-Kutta method in MATLAB. The dynamic behavior of the system is illustrated by bifurcation diagrams, largest Lyapunov exponents, phase trajectory diagrams, and Poincaré maps. The numerical results show that the rotational speed of the rotor, the pressure drop in the seal, the seal length, the seal clearance, and the mass eccentricity of the disk are the key parameters that significantly affect the dynamic characteristics of the rotor system. The motion of the rotor system exhibits complex types of periodic, quasi-periodic, double-periodic, multi-periodic, and chaotic vibrations. This paper presents a new method based on an immune-tabu hybrid algorithm to solve the thermal unit commitment (TUC) problem in power plant optimization. The mathematical model of the TUC problem is established by analyzing the generating units in modern power plants. A novel immune-tabu hybrid algorithm is proposed to solve this complex problem. In the algorithm, the objective function of the TUC problem is considered as an antigen and the solutions are considered as antibodies, which are determined by the affinity computation. The code length of an antibody is shortened by encoding the continuous operating time, and the optimum searching speed is improved. Each feasible individual in the immune algorithm (IA) is used as the initial solution of the tabu search (TS) algorithm after certain generations of IA iteration. As examples, the proposed method has been applied to several thermal unit systems for a period of 24 h. The computation results demonstrate the good global optimum searching performance of the proposed immune-tabu hybrid algorithm. The pit limit optimization is discussed, which is one of the most important problems in the combined mining method, on the basis of the economic model of ore-blocks. A new principle of the limit optimization is put forward through analyzing the limitations of moving cone method under such conditions. With a view to recovering as much mineral resource as possible and making the maximum profit from the whole deposit, the new principle is to maximize the sum of gain from both open-pit and underground mining. The mathematical models along the horizontal and vertical directions and modules for software package (DM&MCAD) have been developed and tested in Tonglushan Copper Mine.
