The production of K resonances has been studied in the reaction $$K^ - p \to \bar K^0 \pi ^ - p$$ at 8.25 GeV/c. The data comes from a high statistics bubble chamber experiment (180 events/μb). Masses, widths and production cross-sections have been determined for the first three K's. The contributions from natural and unnatural parity exchange have been obtained for the K(890) and the K(1420). A partial wave analysis of the K π system from threshold to 1.9 GeV provides evidence for a 0 enhancement near 1.4 GeV which could be interpreted as the κ(1350). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The reactions K p→ π Σ(1385) are studied at an incident laboratory momentum of 8.25 GeV/c using data from a high statistics (≃180 events/μb) bubble chamber experiment. In the case of the reaction K p→ π Σ(1385) an amplitude analysis is performed and the complete Σ(1385) spin density matrix is extracted as a function of t′. The results are compared with the predictions of the additive quark model. In the case of the reaction K p→ π Σ(1385) the cross-sections for forward and backward production are determined. A partial wave analysis of the K $$\bar K$$ system produced by 8.25 GeV/c K mesons in the reaction $$K^ - p \to K\bar K\Lambda ^{ 0} $$ has been performed, taking into account the information provided by the Λ decay. The f′ region is dominated by D and D waves. We see no evidence for the production of new 0 states in the mass region 1.05 to 1.75 GeV. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
