Numerical simulation of magnetohydrodynamic natural convection heat transfer in a rhombic enclosure of inclination angle 45 ∘ containing copper-water nanofluid has been presented in this paper. The top and bottom walls of the enclosure are subjected to non-uniform heating while left wall being subjected to lower temperature and right wall being maintained adiabatic. The finite element strategy (COMSOL Multiphysics) is used to solve the governing equations. The numerical simulations are done for the parametric values: 10 4 ≤ Rayleigh number ≤ 10 6 ; 0 ≤ Hartmann number ≤ 100; 0 ≤ volume fraction of nanofluid ≤ 0.05. The phase deviation angle (top wall) is varied in the range from 0 to π with amplitude of non linear heating being maintained constant. The motivation of this research goes with the fact that the associated transport phenomenon conveys the implication of designing an optimal thermal system analogous to the theme of non-uniform heating, with the phase angle being a crucial design parameter. The numerical results depict to the fact, that the rate of heat transfer follows non-monotonic trends and is considerably influenced by interplay of the phase shift angle, Rayleigh number and Hartmann number. The results showed that at Rayleigh number ≥ 10 5 , the heat transfer rate gets inhibited by enhancing the magnetic field intensity. The impact of different types of nano particles is illustrated by comparing the results with the results of three different nanofluids, silver– water, titanium dioxide–water and diamond–water nanofluids. Moving into cloud computing represents a major marketing shift because it replaces on-premises offerings requiring large, up-front payments with hosted computing resources made available on-demand on a pay-per-use pricing scheme. However, little is known about the effect of this shift on cloud vendors' financial performance. This study draws on a longitudinal data set of 435 publicly listed business-to-business (B2B) firms within the computer software and services industries to investigate, from the vendors' perspective, the shareholder wealth effect of transitioning to the cloud. Using a value relevance model, we find that an unanticipated increase in the cloud ratio (i.e., the share of a firm's revenues from cloud computing) has a positive and significant effect on excess stock returns; and it has a negative and significant effect on idiosyncratic risk. Yet these effects vary across market structures and firms. In particular, unanticipated increases in market maturity intensify the positive effect of moving into the cloud on excess stock returns. In this paper, we present a numerical investigation of natural convection heat transfer and entropy generation for a rhombic enclosure with inclination angle, ϕ = 30°, filled with a porous medium. The left and right surface walls of the enclosure are confined to cold temperature bath while we impart non-uniform, varying temperature distribution with unequal phase angles along the top and bottom wall. The flow inside the enclosure is steady, two-dimensional, incompressible and laminar, and the working fluid is air (Pr = 0.71). Numerical experiments have been performed using finite element method-based software COMSOL Multiphysics 5a for Darcy number and Rayleigh number in the extent of 10−4–10−2 and 103–106, respectively, in addition to phase deviation angles varying in the range from 0 to π. The amplitude parameter associated with the temperature delineation of the bottom and top walls is kept constant. The realizations from the numerical investigation are exhibited by streamlines and isotherms, local and average heat transfer Nusselt number along with the local distribution of heat transfer and fluid friction irreversibilities. The rate of heat transfer demonstrates non-monotonic trends and can be considerably influenced by the interplay of the phase shift angle, Rayleigh number and Darcy number. Upon increasing the value of phase shift angle from 0 to π, average Nusselt number initially decreases and thereafter shows an increase in its value. As the Darcy number increases, average Nusselt number for the bottom wall increases, while for the top wall it strongly depends on phase shift angle. In terms of entropy generation, it is found that the significant contributor to irreversibility is induced by heat transfer and the location of maximum entropy varies with the change in phase angle. More specifically, minimum entropy generation for any value of Rayleigh number and Darcy number is obtained for a phase shift angle of π/4 and maximum for 3π/4. The concomitant transport characteristics bear significance from the context of design of thermal systems pertaining to the theme of non-uniform heating with the phase angle being a crucial design parameter. We examine information content and related insider trading around private in-house meetings between corporate insiders and investors and analysts. We use a hand-collected dataset of approximately 17,000 private meeting summary reports of Shenzhen Stock Exchange firms over 2012-2014. We find that these private meetings are informative and corporate insiders conducted over one-half of their stock sales (totaling $8.7 billion) around these meetings. Some insiders time their transactions and earn substantial gains by selling (purchasing) relatively more shares before bad (good) news disclosures while postponing selling (purchasing) when good (bad) news is to be disclosed in the meeting. Finally, we conduct a content analysis of published meeting summary reports and find that the tone in these reports is associated with stock market reactions around (1) private meetings themselves, (2) subsequent public release of private meeting details, (3) subsequent earnings announcements and (4) future stock performance. The marketing literature has made significant progress toward a better understanding of how firms can effectively design and manage their channels of distribution. However, the complexity of today’s channel systems raises additional issues that remain unaddressed. The purpose of this article is to suggest promising research directions in this domain. We suggest several possible avenues to relate multiple channel design and management to channel-system, channel-relationship, and customer-level outcomes. In particular, we see a great opportunity to integrate multichannel customer management and traditional channel design research. Technology transfer can be seen as an effective mechanism to advance the flow of technological development in a developing country’s economy. Though normally small-scale technology transfer projects are initiated and managed by private organizations, the large-scale technology transfer projects in a developing country are sponsored by the state itself, given the complexity level of and resource requirements for such projects. The purpose of this paper is to identify and discuss the critical elements of a successful large-scale technology transfer process framework in a developing country context. Four components are highlighted that facilitate a successful large-scale technology transfer process. These are: (i) understanding and selecting technology components; (ii) selecting a technology transfer mode; (iii) negotiating effective process; and (iv) developing capability. Aspects of negotiation and adoption/assimilation capability development are stressed in this paper, which is commonly missed out in conventional technology transfer framework. Accordingly a comprehensive and goal oriented technology transfer framework has been presented in the paper linking all the core elements. Cooperative advertising arrangements between manufacturers and resellers contain two principal components in their payment schedules: a participation rate and an accrual rate. We analyze 2,156 cooperative advertising plans to see how they vary across consumer and industrial products, as well as between convenience and nonconvenience consumer products. We also study how participation and accrual rates vary by the level of manufacturer concentration across product categories. We find that both participation and accrual rates are higher for consumer products than for industrial products and within consumer products are higher for convenience products than for nonconvenience products. We find mixed results for the effect of manufacturer concentration on these rates. We discuss how these results are consistent with existing perspectives on cooperative advertising. The article discusses an empirical study of antitrust sanctions. It analyzes the sanctions imposed in Department of Justice (DOJ) antitrust cases for the period 1955-1979. To date empirical analysis of antitrust enforcement have concentrated on the number of cases as a measure of antitrust enforcement activity. In contrast, this paper uses the level of sanctions as a measure of DOJ enforcement activity. The purpose of antitrust legislation is to modify behavior in markets by deterring certain types of behavior. The particular legislative intent is a matter of controversy and is discussed later.

Isolated iliac artery aneurysms without associated abdominal aortic aneurysms are rare. Incidence varies between 0.03% and 0.1%. Deep pelvic location of aneurysms, make their detection by physical examination very difficult. Usually they remain asymptomatic until ruptured. Other symptoms and signs are due to local compression of adjacent pelvic structure. Here we are presenting a case report of a patient with large unruptured isolated iliac artery aneurysm presented with abdominal lump and managed successfully. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pseudoaneurysm of the aorta is a dreaded complication which may develop after cardiac surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. The pseudoaneurysm is described as an abnormal aneurismal dilatation arising from a weakened region of the aorta. The wall was composed of adventitia, portions of the media, and stretched and compressed surrounding anatomic structures.
