Despite the rapid development of probes for targeting single organelle, the construction of robust dual-organelle targeting probes with multicolor emission was rarely reported. Herein, two dual-emissive aggregation-induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) with donor-π-acceptor structures were designed and synthesized, namely QT-1 and QF-2. Both two AIEgens exhibited excitation wavelength-dependence defying the Kasha's rule, and could stain lipid droplets (LDs) and mitochondria in blue and red fluorescence, respectively. Moreover, thanks to the near-infrared emission and abundant reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation efficiency of QT-1, it was chosen as a photodynamic therapy agent to selectively kill cancer cells from normal cells. Upon light irradiation, an obvious decrease of mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) and serious change of mitochondrial shape in cells were observed, which corresponded to the efficient inhibition of tumor growth in vivo. This work afforded a promising strategy for the construction of multicolor emission by tuning anti-Kasha behaviors and expanding their application in dual-organelle targeting-based phototheranostics. Organic emitters with persistent phosphorescence have shown potential application in optoelectronic devices. However, rational design and phosphorescence tuning are still challenging. Here, a series of metal-free luminophores without heavy atoms and carbonyl groups from commercial/lab-synthesized carbazole and benzene were synthesized to realize tunable molecular emission from fluorescence to phosphorescence by simply substituent variation. All the molecules emit blue fluorescence in both solution and solid state. Upon removal of excitation source, the fluorinated luminophores show obvious phosphorescence. The lab-synthesized carbazole based molecules exhibit a huge lifetime difference to the commercially purchased ones due to the existence of isomer in the latter samples. The small energy gap between singlet and triplet state and low reorganization energy help enhance intersystem crossing to contribute to a more competitive radiative process from triplet to ground state. Blue and white organic light-emitting devices are fabricated by using fluorinated luminophore as emitting layer. Though organic emitters with room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) are attractive for various applications, realizing highly efficient and long lifetime emission remains a challenge. Geometric structures, stabilities, and electronic properties of Sin+1λ and SinSmλ (n = 1–9, λ = 0, −1) clusters have been investigated systematically using density functional method at four levels. Extensive searches for ground state structures were carried out by the comparison between simulated spectra and the measured photoelectron spectroscopy. The results show that Sm atom tends to occupy the low-coordinated position and edge-cap or face-cap on the silicon frames. The lowest energy structures of SinSm0/− favor planar structures for n = 1–3 and three-dimensional structures for n = 4–9. Based on the averaged binding energies and fragmentation energies, we predict that Si4Sm and Si2Sm− clusters have the higher relative stabilities. Furthermore, the patterns of HOMOs and derivatives of ρ for the most stable doped isomers are investigated to gain insight into the nature of bonding. The result shows that π-type or σ-type bonds are always formed among the Si atoms, and the interaction between the Sm and Si atoms is very weak. To achieve a deep insight into localization of charge and reliable charge-transfer information, the Mulliken population are analyzed and discussed. In addition, the electrostatic potential, which is well established as a guide to the interpretation and prediction of molecular behavior, is performed for the lowest energy structures of SinSmλ (n = 1–9, λ = 0, −1) clusters. A series of copper(II) with 2-aminobenzonitrile and 3-(2-oxo-pyrrolidin-yl)-propionitrile were first synthesized and characterized, and the reaction of these nitriles with Cu(OAc)·HO or CuCl·2HO in ethanol resulted in the production of three novel copper complexes, I, II, and III. In addition, we obtained the manganese (II) oxygen complex ( IV) in the process of synthesis of the manganese (II) nitrogen complex, in which o-phenylenediamine was used as the ligands to react with MnCl·4HO. The structure of each complex was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Each complex was also characterized using elemental analysis, H NMR and IR. The complexes were then all used to catalyze the Henry reaction, and moderate catalytic results were achieved. The molar heat capacities of three different concentrations of aqueous SrCl2 solutions, 0.1212, 0.4615 and 1.878 mol⋅kg−1, were measured, using a precision automated adiabatic calorimeter in the temperature range from 80 to 320 K. Solid–liquid phase transitions were observed at 272.83, 270.18 and 255.15 K, respectively, for these three solutions. The molar enthalpies and entropies of the phase transitions were evaluated. The experimental heat capacity data were fitted to polynomial equations, and based on the polynomial equations and thermodynamic relationship, the thermodynamic functions relative to 298.15 K, [ H T− H298.15 K] and [ S T− S298.15 K], of the three solutions were derived in the range of 80 to 320 K with an interval of 5 K. According to ancient and present Chinese sources the Eight Confluent Points are essentials of acupuncture and can treat all kinds of diseases. They exert a fundamental influence on the Twelve Regular Meridians and their mobilization can be seen as a necessity for a successful acupuncture treatment. For this they should play a major role in acupuncture. In European acupuncture teachings there is also the opinion that by too much needling of the Eight Confluent Points the qi of the organism might get exhausted which will deteriorate the patient’s symptoms and eventually will create new symptoms. Here it will be shown that deterioration as well as the creation of new symptoms due to acupuncture is caused by not observing the contraindications in acupuncture as set up in ancient China provided that syndrome differentiation, point selection and stimulation have been correct. In opposition to this, all of the Eight Extraordinary Channels are to be activated at first and then the Twelve Regular Meridians are to be mobilized in order to achieve therapeutic effects.
