A PZT type telescope for observations of gravity gradient and lunar rotation was developed, and a Bread Board Model (BBM) for ground experiments was completed. Some developments were made for the BBM such as a tripod with attitude control system, a stable mercury pool and a method for collecting the effects of vibrations. Laboratory experiments and field observations were performed from August to September of 2014, in order to check the entire system of the telescope and the software, and the results were compared to the centroid experiments which pursue the best accuracy of determination of the center of star images with a simple optical system. It was also investigated how the vibrations of mercury surface affect the centroid position on Charge Coupled Device (CCD). The results of the experiments showed that the effects of vibrations are almost common to stars in the same view, and they can be corrected by removing mean variation of the stars; and that the vibration of mercury surface can cause errors in centroid as large as 0.2 arcsec; and that there is a strong correlation between the Standard Deviation (SD) of variation of the centroid position and signal to noise ratio (SNR) of star images. An analytical theory of lunar physical librations based on its two-layer model consisting of a non-spherical solid mantle and ellipsoidal liquid core is developed. The Moon moves on a high-precision orbit in the gravitational field of the Earth and other celestial bodies. The defined fourth mode of a free libration is caused by the influence of the liquid core, with a long period of 205.7 yr, with amplitude S = 0″0395 and with an initial phase Π = −134° (for the initial epoch 2000.0). Estimates of dynamic (meridional) oblatenesses of a liquid core of the Moon have been estimated: ɛ = 4.42 × 10, μ = 2.83 × 10 (ɛ + μ = 7.24 × 10). These results have been obtained as a result of comparison of the developed analytical theory of physical librations of the Moon with the empirical theory of librations of the Moon constructed on the basis of laser observations. The paper briefly describes the purpose and features of the Japanese project ILOM (In-situ Lunar Orientation Measurement) in which it is planned to install the zenith telescope with a CCD lens on one of the poles of the Moon for the observation of stars in order to determine the physical libration of the Moon (PhLM). The studies presented in this paper are the result of the first stage of the theoretical support of the project: Direct and inverse PhLM problems are discussed. Within the scope of the direct problem visible 'daily parallels' and one-year star tracks are calculated. Their behavioral features when observed from the lunar surface are shown. At this stage of the simulation selenographic star coordinates for the four models of the gravitational field of the Moon have been compared, i.e., the model constructed on the basis of the lunar laser ranging (LLR), GLGM-2, LP150Q, and SGM100h. It is shown that even when comparing modern models LP150Q and SGM100h stellar tracks differ from the arc by more than 10 ms of arc. At the stage of the inverse problem, the manifestation of viscoelastic properties of the Moon in selenographic coordinates has been studied. In the spectrum of the simulated residual differences harmonics have been identified which can serve as indicators to refine parameters, Love number k and the delay time characterizing the viscous properties of the lunar body. lunar gravity field model up to degree and order 100 in spherical harmonics, named SGM100i, has been determined from SELENE and historical tracking data, with an emphasis on using same-beam S-band differential VLBI data obtained in the SELENE mission between January 2008 and February 2009. Orbit consistency throughout the entire mission period of SELENE as determined from orbit overlaps for the two sub-satellites of SELENE involved in the VLBI tracking improved consistently from several hundreds of metres to several tens of metres by including differential VLBI data. Through orbits that are better determined, the gravity field model is also improved by including these data. Orbit determination performance for the new model shows improvements over earlier 100th degree and order models, especially for edge-on orbits over the deep far side. Lunar Prospector orbit determination shows an improvement of orbit consistency from 1-day predictions for 2-day arcs of 6 m in a total sense, with most improvement in the along and cross-track directions. Data fit for the types and satellites involved is also improved. Formal errors for the lower degrees are smaller, and the new model also shows increased correlations with topography over the far side. The estimated value for the lunar GM for this model equals 4902.80080±0.0009 km/s (10 sigma). Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is a potent vasoconstrictive peptide and its activity is mediated by the receptors ET type A (EDNRA) and ET type B (EDNRB). Although ET-1 is thought to play an important role in the development of atherosclerosis, it remains unclear whether polymorphisms of ET-1 family genes, including the ET-1 gene (EDN1), EDNRA, EDNRB and the genes for endothelin converting enzymes 1 and 2 (ECE1 and ECE2), are associated with the progression of atherosclerosis. We investigated the relationship between 11 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of ET-1 family genes (including three in EDN1, one in EDNRA, two in EDNRB, four in ECE1 and one in ECE2) and atherosclerotic changes assessed using pulse wave velocity (PWV) and carotid ultrasonography in 630 patients with essential hypertension (EHT). In male subjects, we found significant differences in brachial-ankle PWV (baPWV) in additive and recessive models in EDNRB-rs5351 after Bonferroni correction. Also in male subjects, there were significant differences in mean intima-media thickness (IMT) in additive and recessive models in EDNRA-rs5333 after Bonferroni correction. We found no significant correlation between any SNPs in the ET family genes and baPWV, IMT and Plaque score (PS) in female subjects. Furthermore, after multiple logistic regression analysis, only EDNRB-rs5351 indicated as an independent risk of atherosclerosis in male hypertensive subjects. The correlation between serum hepatitis C virus (HCV)-RNA and aminotransferase levels following completion of interferon therapy was evaluated in eight relapsed patients with chronic hepatitis C. Both HCV-RNA and aminotransferase levels were significantly increased in the relapsed patients 1 month after completion of therapy, compared to pretreatment values, despite aminotransferase levels being normal and HCV-RNA being undetectable by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction assay at the end of therapy. The serum levels of HCV-RNA and aminotransferase were significantly elevated 1 and 2 months post-treatment. They then decreased to pretreatment values 3-5 months after the completion of therapy. Thus, in relapsed patients after the completion of therapy, the changes in HCV-RNA levels preceded the elevation in aminotransferase levels. These findings suggest a correlation between serum HCV-RNA levels and aminotransferase levels in relapsed patients with chronic hepatitis C after the completion of interferon therapy.
