The representation of people with disabilities in the media is an issue that is not much emphasized. This article studies the representation of people with disabilities in the internet publications, especially in Northern Cyprus. This research, tries to emphasize the way media discuss the issue of disabled people alongside to show how disabled people be presented to the public as a meta in the consumption society and to discuss the discrimination against disabled people. The research focuses on the presentation of the disability as unprotected individuals and the work carried out by the society to sympathize with the individual and in particular on the decoding of the child with disabilities while doing these activities. Media organizations have a widespread belief in their news that they are discriminatory in that they impose disabilities as 'needy' individuals. The rights and freedom of the press has an interdisciplinary nature that is related with communication, law, sociology and philosophy. It is widely acknowledged that employees in the mainstream media have established rights and freedoms that are regulated through international law, documents, national constitutions and codes. Today, such regulations are accepted as valid for employees in new forms of media who do not have separate regulations. On the other hand, even the established regulations for the mainstream media have deficiencies, which means that unethical media coverage may occur. Such social media channels, differing from the other forms of media in terms of their speed, not only violate personal rights, but also lead to more catastrophic consequences. This work presents concrete solutions to prevent such unethical coverage by social media employees and to determine the limits of the rights and freedoms of the press. Disability is not only a health problem faced by disabled people and their families; it is necessary to consider it as a situation closely related to social aspects and society. Disability is a social phenomenon that concerns the disabled, the family, the immediate surroundings, and the community to which they belong. Disabled individuals, like every human being, want to share their social surroundings and their experiences of briefly living their emotions, thoughts, dreams. However, even for non-disabled individuals, communication, which can be difficult under certain conditions, can become even more difficult for disabled people. Because the psycho-social structure, values, attitudes, perceptions of life, and thoughts of the individuals in society are different. Therefore, disabled individual who is evaluated as a pitiful and poor person by the influence of prejudices in the social perception process can be exposed to the negative attitudes of the society and be excluded. It is not an "obstacle" on the basis of the "disability" your disability faces; the society that prefers the difference created by the obstacle lies in the "obstructive attitudes" developed against the obstruction. Written media have been shown and proven as the reason for this difference in our work. Our work will be demonstrated by an in-depth interview methodology of approaching the subject of five disabled people with the highest number of disabled people in the TRNC. Negative perceptions of the disability within the society are not only something that the written media can correct, but are also closely connected with the consciousness of the associations' authorities and their shaping of their strategies accordingly. We tried to emphasize the media importance of literacy and media literacy education in this area. The media literacy training program will reduce the negative representations created by the media and their negative consequences because there will be conscious media consumers. The violence based news bearing negativity is the mostly presented one in the media which is no doubt influential on societies. As if violence is accepted as the most important ingredient in increasing the ratings in the Turkey's media too. The news bulletins presenting the negativity more negative than its real negative-ness direct and affect the societal psychology. In this study, the TRT 1, ATV, Show TV, FOX TV, NTV and Kanal 7 national channels and their prime-time news bulletins are chosen as the sample for the content-analysis. Terrorism which is the most important element of violence for Turkey is focused. This element is called as the terrorist violence as it is called in the searched national channels. The study is limited with the bulletins including the attacks to Ortaköy Reina in the 1st of January 2017 and Gaziantep Police Department in the 10th of January 2017. The terrorist violence is content analysed on the news communicating structures such as duration, attitude, language, image, repetition, categorizing exaggeration, presenting examples, sound, and the subtitles. On the other hand, in order to obtain the opinions of academicians on the presentation of violence in main news bulletins, in-depth interviews were held with academicians (6 people) who worked at various faculties of Near East University (communication, education, psychology, law, fine arts). Within this scope, it was ensured that while interpreting the presentation of violence in main news bulletins, solutions can also be offered form educative point of view by academicians.
