The article offers information about the mechanical performance of lap joints of flat roof waterproofing membranes. Roofs waterproofing materials and their systems are included in different criteria including functionality, raw materials nature, traditional or nontraditional nature of the solution, execution technique, and bonding system to the substrate and composition. The inequality in the outcomes of tests done in APP-modified bituminous specimens have proven the performance of new peel resistance tests using hot air instrument. The good peel performance of the lap joints in SBS-modified bituminous membrane shows good adhesion of the joint. On the other hand, lap joints having very small width, its quality maybe classified to poor workmanship when wrong technique is used.
