Phosphorus (P) is an essential element for plant growth, and its deficiency can cause decreased crop yield. This study systematically evaluated the low-phosphate (Pi) response traits in a large population at maturity and seedling stages, and explored candidate genes and their interrelationships with specific traits. The results revealed a greater sensitivity of seedling maize to low-Pi stress compared to that at maturity stage. The phenotypic response patterns to low-Pi stress at different stages were independent. Chlorophyll content was found to be a potential indicator for screening low-Pi-tolerant materials in the field. A total of 2900 and 1446 significantly associated genes at the maturity and seedling stages were identified, respectively. Among these genes, 972 were uniquely associated with maturity traits, while 330 were specifically detected at the seedling stage under low-Pi stress. Moreover, 768 and 733 genes were specifically associated with index values (low-Pi trait/normal-Pi trait) at maturity and seedling stage, respectively. Genetic network diagrams showed that the low-Pi response gene Zm00001d022226 was specifically associated with multiple primary P-related traits under low-Pi conditions. A total of 963 out of 2966 genes specifically associated with traits under low-Pi conditions or index values were found to be induced by low-Pi stress. Notably, ZmSPX4.1 and ZmSPX2 were sharply up-regulated in response to low-Pi stress across different lines or tissues. These findings advance our understanding of maize’s response to low-Pi stress at different developmental stages, shedding light on the genes and pathways implicated in this response. Examining the connection between P and starch-related signals can help elucidate the balance between nutrients and yield. This study utilized 307 diverse maize inbred lines to conduct multi-year and multi-plot trials, aiming to explore the relationship among P content, starch content, and 100-kernel weight (HKW) of mature grains. A significant negative correlation was found between P content and both starch content and HKW, while starch content showed a positive correlation with HKW. The starch granules in grains with high-P and low-starch content (HPLS) were significantly smaller compared to grains with low-P high-starch content (LPHS). Additionally, mian04185-4 (HPLS) exhibited irregular and loosely packed starch granules. A significant decrease in ZmPHOs genes expression was detected in the HPLS line ZNC442 as compared to the LPHS line SCML0849, while no expression difference was observed in AGPase encoding genes between these two lines. The down-regulated genes in ZNC442 grains were enriched in nucleotide sugar and fatty acid anabolic pathways, while up-regulated genes were enriched in the ABC transporters pathway. An accelerated breakdown of fat as the P content increased was also observed. This implied that HPLS was resulted from elevated lipid decomposition and inadequate carbon sources. The GWAS analysis identified 514 significantly associated genes, out of which 248 were differentially expressed. Zm00001d052392 was found to be significantly associated with P content/HKW, exhibiting high expression in SCML0849 but almost no expression in ZNC442. Immunogenic cell death (ICD) is a newly discovered form of cellular demise that triggers adaptive immune responses mediated by T cells. However, the immunogenic cell death-related lncRNAs (ICDRLs) involved in bladder cancer (BC) development and progression remain to be further elucidated. Molecular profiling data and clinicopathological information for BC patients were obtained from TCGA, and the ICDRGs list was obtained from published literature. For the identification of ICDRLs, Pearson co-expression analysis was performed, and a prognostic signature based on 13 ICDRLs was constructed by univariate assays and LASSO assays. Herein, an ICDRLSig consisting of 13 ICDRLs was constructed. KM curves and ROC curves demonstrated that the constructed signature in the TCGA training, testing, entire and external sets have good predictive performance. Multivariate assays illuminated that the signature is an independent predictor for BC patients' OS, exhibiting greater predictive power for the survival than traditional clinicopathological features. Additionally, patients in the high-ICDRLSig risk subgroup had more abundant immune infiltration, higher immune checkpoint gene expression, lower TMB and poorer response to immunotherapy. Pickering emulsion stabilized by lignin particles has many advantages such as high flexibility, natural non-toxicity, anti-oxidation, and anti-ultraviolet. In order to promote the application of industrial lignin in the field of Pickering emulsions, this study has done comparatively systematic and basic research on Pickering emulsions stabilized by lignin particles. The emulsification effects of lignin particles on cyclohexane and n-decanol which have opposite polarity were compared firstly under different oil-water ratios. It was found that stable emulsions formed when the three-phase contact angle of oil/water/lignin was closer to 90°. The weakly polar cyclohexane could be well-emulsified by lignin particles, while the strong polar n-decanol could not. Cyclohexane was used as the oil phase to discuss the emulsification ability of lignin particles under different concentrations or with different particle sizes. Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a prevalent complication of type 2 diabetes (T2D). 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-biphosphatase 3 (PFKFB3) is a glycolysis regulator. However, the potential effects of PFKFB3 in the DCM remain unclear. In comparison to db/m mice, PFKFB3 levels decreased in the hearts of db/db mice. Cardiac-specific PFKFB3 overexpression inhibited myocardial oxidative stress and cardiomyocyte apoptosis, suppressed mitochondrial fragmentation, and partly restored mitochondrial function in db/db mice. Moreover, PFKFB3 overexpression stimulated glycolysis. Interestingly, based on the inhibition of glycolysis, PFKFB3 overexpression still suppressed oxidative stress and apoptosis of cardiomyocytes in vitro, which indicated that PFKFB3 overexpression could alleviate DCM independent of glycolysis. Using mass spectrometry combined with co-immunoprecipitation, we identified optic atrophy 1 (OPA1) interacting with PFKFB3. In db/db mice, the knockdown of OPA1 receded the effects of PFKFB3 overexpression in alleviating cardiac remodeling and dysfunction. Mechanistically, PFKFB3 stabilized OPA1 expression by promoting E3 ligase NEDD4L-mediated atypical K6-linked polyubiquitination and thus prevented the degradation of OPA1 by the proteasomal pathway. Background: NLRP3 inflammasome activation is significantly associated with sepsis-induced acute kidney injury (S-AKI). Cytosolic DNA derived from damaged mitochondria has been reported to activate NLRP3 inflammasome via upregulating the cyclic GMP–AMP synthase (cGAS)—the stimulator of interferon genes (STING) axis in nucleus pulposus cell and cardiomyocytes. However, the regulatory effect of mitochondria DNA (mtDNA)–cGAS–STING axis on the NLRP3 inflammasome in S-AKI remains unclear. Methods: In the current study, we established an in vivo model of S-AKI by intraperitoneally injecting male C57BL/6 J mice with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Next, selective cGAS inhibitor RU.521, and STING agonist DMXAA were intraperitoneally injected in the mice; then, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine (CRE), urinary kidney injury molecular-1 (KIM-1), pathological changes, and infiltrated neutrophils were detected to assess kidney injury. We also performed western blot and immunofluorescence assays to evaluate STING, cGAS, TBK-1, p-TBK-1, IRF3, p-IRF3, NF-kB, p-NF-kB, NLRP3, cleaved caspase-1, caspase-1, GSDMD-N, and GSDMD expression levels in kidney tissues. IL-18 and IL-1β in renal tissue were identified by ELISA. In vitro, we treated HK-2 cells with LPS to establish a cell model of S-AKI. Furthermore, ethidium bromide (EtBr) was administered to deplete mitochondria DNA (mtDNA). LPS-induced cytotoxicity was evaluated by LDH release assay. Protein expression of cGAS, STING, and NLRP3 in was quantified by western blot. Cytosolic mtDNA was detected by immunofluorescence and q-PCR. Released IL-1β and IL-18 in HK-2 supernatants were detected by ELISA. Results: LPS injection induced S-AKI in mice, as evidenced by neutrophil infiltration, tubular vacuolation, and increased levels of serum creatinine (CRE), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and urinary KIM-1. In addition, LPS activated the cGAS–STING axis and NLRP3 inflammasome in vivo, illustrated by increased phosphorylation levels of TBK-1, IRF3, and NF-kB protein, increased ratio of cleaved caspase-1 to caspase-1 and GSDMD-N to GSDMD, and increased IL-1β and IL-18 levels. Moreover, the cGAS inhibitor RU.521 effectively attenuated NLRP3 inflammasome and S-AKI; however, these effects were abolished by treatment with the STING agonist DMXAA. Furthermore, cytosolic release of mtDNA and activation of the cGAS–STING–NLRP3 axis were observed in LPS-treated HK-2 cells. Inhibiting mtDNA replication by Ethidium Bromide (EtBr) treatment reduced cytosolic mtDNA accumulation and downregulated the cGAS–STING–NLRP3 axis, ameliorating the cytotoxicity induced by LPS. Conclusion: This study demonstrated that the cGAS–STING axis was triggered by cytosolic mtDNA and participated in the development of S-AKI by activating NLRP3 inflammasome. Hard limestone substrates, which are extensively distributed, are believed to exacerbate drought and increase the difficulty of restoration in vulnerable karst regions. Fissures in such substrates may alleviate the negative effect of drought on plants, but the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. In a two-way factorial block design, the growth and photosynthesis of 2-year-old Phoebe zhennan seedlings were investigated in two water availabilities (high versus low) and three stimulated fissure habitat groups (soil, soil-filled fissure and non-soil-filled fissure). Moreover, the fissure treatments included both small and big fissures. Compared to the soil group, the non-soil-filled fissure group had decreased the total biomass, root biomass, total root length, and the root length of fine roots in the soil layer at both water availabilities, but increased net photosynthetic rate (Pn) and retained stable water use efficiency (WUE) at low water availability. However, there were no significant differences between the soil-filled fissure group and soil group in the biomass accumulation and allocation as well as Pn. Nevertheless, the SF group decreased the root distribution in total and in the soil layer, and also increased WUE at low water availability. Across all treatments, fissure size had no effect on plant growth or photosynthesis. Karst fissures filled with soil can alleviate drought impacts on plant root growth, which involves adjusting root distribution strategies and increasing water use efficiency. These results suggest that rock fissures can be involved in long-term plant responses to drought stress and vegetation restoration in rocky mountain environments under global climate change. Depressive symptoms and aggression often co-occur, and previous studies have found different bidirectional links between depressive symptoms and aggression, suggesting inconsistent developmental cascades. Moreover, it is unclear whether different functions of aggression are differentially associated with depressive symptoms over time. The present study examined the longitudinal associations of reactive and proactive aggression with depressive symptoms in early adolescence. Adolescents (n = 942, 50.7% girls; mean age = 12.54 years, SD = 0.42) were surveyed annually over three years (2019–2021). Random-intercept cross-lagged panel models were used to disentangle between- and within-person effects. The results showed moderate between-person associations of depressive symptoms with the two aggressive functions. And depressive symptoms were more highly associated with reactive aggression than with proactive aggression. However, the state-level bidirectional cross-lagged associations between reactive and proactive aggression and depressive symptoms were not significant. This study highlights the stable trait-like association between depressive symptoms and reactive aggression, and the absence of state-level bidirectional cross-lagged associations challenges previous developmental cascades in adolescents. Pulchinenoside B4, a natural saponin monomer from the Pulsatilla plant, plays an important role as an immunomodulator in the treatment of acute inflammation. Oral ulcer (OU) is a common ulcerative injury disease that occurs in the oral mucosa, including mucosal ulceration and abnormalities of lips and tongue. A close correlation exists between gut microbiota and circulating metabolites in patients with OU. However, the correlation between gut microbiota and serum metabolomics is not clear. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the changes in gut microbiota and metabolites in OU. The 16S ribosomal RNA (16S rRNA) gene sequencing was used to detect the changes in the composition of gut microbiota in OU rat model. Moreover, the endogenous small metabolites were explored by collecting the non-targeted serum metabolomics data. A total of 34 OU-related biomarkers were identified, mainly related to fatty acid metabolism and inflammatory pathways. The administration of B4 effectively reduced the occurrence of OU and restored the levels of multiple endogenous biomarkers and key gut microbial species to the normal level. This study demonstrated that the gut microbiota and metabolites were altered in the OU rat model, which were significantly restored to the normal level by B4, thereby showing good application prospects in the treatment of OU. Grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) is an economically important fruit crop cultivated worldwide. In China, grapevine cultivation is very extensive, and a few Vitis grapes have excellent pathogen and stress resistance, but the molecular mechanisms underlying the grapevine response to stress remain unclear. In this study, a microRNA (miRNA; miR827a), which negatively regulates its target gene VqMYB14, a key regulatory role in the synthesis of stilbenes, was identified in Vitis quinquangularis (V. quinquangularis) using transcriptome sequencing. Using overexpression and silencing approaches, we found that miR827a regulates the synthesis of stilbenes by targeting VqMYB14. We used flagellin N-terminal 22-amino-acid peptide (flg22), the representative elicitor in plant basal immunity, as the elicitor to verify whether miR827a is involved in the basal immunity of V. quinquangularis. Furthermore, the promoter activity of miR827a was alleviated in transgenic grape protoplasts and Arabidopsis thaliana following treatment with flg22 and Pseudomonas syringae pv. Tomato DC3000 (Pst DC3000), respectively. In addition, yeast one-hybrid and dual luciferase reporter assay revealed that the ethylene transcription factor VqERF057 acted as a key regulator in the inhibition of miR827a transcription. These results will contribute to the understanding of the biological functions of miR827a in grapevine and clarify the molecular mechanism of the interaction between miR827a and VqMYB14. Key message: A major and stable QTL, QFn.sau-1B.2, which can explain 13.6% of the PVE in FN and has a positive effect on resistance in SGR, was mapped and validated. The falling number (FN) is considered one of the most important quality traits of wheat grain and is the most important quality evaluation index for wheat trade worldwide. The quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for FN were mapped in three years of experiments. 23, 30, and 58 QTLs were identified using the ICIM-BIP, ICIM-MET, and ICIM-EPI methods, respectively. Among them, seven QTLs were considered stable. QFn.sau-1B.2, which was mapped to the 1BL chromosome, can explain 13.6% of the phenotypic variation on average and is considered a major and stable QTL for FN. This QTL was mapped in a 1 cM interval and is flanked by the markers AX-110409346 and AX-108743901. Epistatic analysis indicated that QFN.sau-1B.2 has a strong influence on FN through both additive and epistatic effects. The Kompetitive Allele-Specific PCR marker KASP-AX-108743901, which is closely linked to QFn.sau-1B.2, was designed. The genetic effect of QFn.sau-1B.2 on FN was successfully confirmed in Chuannong18 × T1208 and CN17 × CN11 populations. Moreover, the results of the additive effects of favorable alleles for FN showed that the QTLs for FN had significant effects not only on FN but also on the resistance to spike germination. Within the interval of QFn.sau-1B.2, 147 high-confidence genes were found. According to the gene annotation and the transcriptome data, four genes might be associated with FN. Background: Postoperative anastomotic leakage (PAL) is a serious complication of gastric cancer surgery. Although perioperative management has made considerable progress, anastomotic leakage (AL) cannot always be avoided. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether intraoperative leak testing (IOLT) can reduce the incidence of PAL and other postoperative outcomes in gastric cancer surgery. Materials and methods: In this meta-analysis, we searched the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases for clinical trials to assess the application of IOLT in gastric cancer surgery. All patients underwent laparoscopic radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer surgery. Studies comparing the postoperative outcomes of IOLT and no intraoperative leak testing (NIOLT) were included. Quality assessment, heterogeneity, risk of bias, and the level of evidence of the included studies were evaluated. PAL, anastomotic-related complications, 30-day mortality, and reoperation rates were compared between the IOLT and NIOLT group. Results: Our literature search returned 721 results, from which six trials (a total of 1,666 patients) were included in our meta-analysis. Statistical heterogeneity was low. The primary outcome was PAL. IOLT reduced the incidence of PAL [2.09% vs 6.68%; (RR = 0.31, 95% Cl 0.19–0.53, P < 0.0001]. Anastomotic-related complications, which included bleeding, leakage, and stricture, were significantly higher in the NIOLT group than in the IOLT group [3.24% VS 10.85%; RR = 0.30, 95% Cl 0.18–0.53, P < 0.0001]. Moreover, IOLT was associated with lower reoperation rates [0.94% vs 6.83%; RR = 0.18, 95% CI 0.07–0.43, P = 0.0002]. Conclusion: Considering the observed lower incidence of postoperative anastomotic leakage (PAL), anastomotic-related complications, and reoperation rates, IOLT appears to be a promising option for gastric cancer surgery. Tool wear is one of the factors restraining the improvement of product efficiency and machining quality, especially for the aerospace industries with high-added-value parts and hard-to-cut material. During the finish milling of the free-form surface, tool orientations and engagement regions constantly change, which renders the traditional average flank wear hard to describe the tool wear condition accurately. In the present work, tool wear in multiple dimensions is studied comprehensively by using solid carbide ball-end mills with different lend angles, and it is designed by a fixed GH4169 workpiece in various angles. The results show that flank wear, wear depth, wear area, and wear volume increase with the cutting length. The relationship between cutting parameters and those wear features was analyzed with the variance and cluster analysis. The rates of wear area and wear volume were more sensitive to cutting parameters compared to flank wear. What's more, wear volume was affected significantly by all the main effects and some intersections of those factors, that is, spindle speeds, feeds, lead angles, and initial flank wear, which gave the maximum information in distinguishing the effects of cutting parameters. Objectives: To evaluate the diffusion kurtosis and susceptibility change in the U-fiber region of patients with relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (pwRRMS) and their correlations with cognitive status and degeneration. Materials and methods: Mean kurtosis (MK), axial kurtosis (AK), radial kurtosis (RK), kurtosis fractional anisotropy (KFA), and the mean relative quantitative susceptibility mapping (mrQSM) values in the U-fiber region were compared between 49 pwRRMS and 48 healthy controls (HCs). The U-fiber were divided into upper and deeper groups based on the location. The whole brain volume, gray and white matter volume, and cortical thickness were obtained. The correlations between the mrQSM values, DKI-derived metrics in the U-fiber region and clinical scale scores, brain morphologic parameters were further investigated. Results: The decreased MK, AK, RK, KFA, and increased mrQSM values in U-fiber lesions (p < 0.001, FDR corrected), decreased RK, KFA, and increased mrQSM values in U-fiber non-lesions (p = 0.034, p < 0.001, p < 0.001, FDR corrected) were found in pwRRMS. There were differences in DKI-derived metrics and susceptibility values between the upper U-fiber region and the deeper one for U-fiber non-lesion areas of pwRRMS and HCs (p < 0.05), but not for U-fiber lesions in DKI-derived metrics. The DKI-derived metrics and susceptibility values were widely related with cognitive tests and brain atrophy. Conclusion: RRMS patients show abnormal diffusion kurtosis and susceptibility characteristics in the U-fiber region, and these underlying tissue abnormalities are correlated with cognitive deficits and degeneration. Clinical relevance statement: The macroscopic and microscopic tissue damages of U-fiber help to identify cognitive impairment and brain atrophy in multiple sclerosis and provide underlying pathophysiological mechanism. In backfill mining, surrounding rock damaged by impact loading (e.g. blasting) is immersed in backfill water after backfilling, and the instability of the impact-damaged and water-soaked (IDWS) surrounding rock can occur under blasting loads. To study the dynamic mechanical properties and the size effect of rock under such working conditions, triaxial dynamic compression tests were conducted on four groups (four length-to-diameter ratios) of first impact-damaged and then water-soaked sandstone specimens using an improved split Hopkinson pressure bar device. The test results show that, at a similar strain rate (approximately 10 s−1), the peak strength and elastic modulus of IDWS specimens are lower than those of the intact specimens, whereas the peak strain is higher than that of the intact specimens. Both the peak strength and peak strain of the IDWS specimens increase with strain rate, exhibiting a strong strain rate dependency. The peak strength, peak strain, and elastic modulus all display a size effect. This size effect varies over different strain rate ranges. When the strain rate is approximately 10 s−1, the peak strength decreases as the length-to-diameter ratio increases. In contrast, at a strain rate of approximately 30 s−1, the peak strength increases with an increase in the length-to-diameter ratio. There is a linear relationship between the incident energy and absorbed energy of the intact and IDWS specimens. Under the same incident energy, the IDWS specimens show higher absorbed energy than the intact specimens. This relationship is independent of the length-to-diameter ratio of rock specimens. A novel scalable approach via Zr micro-alloying to enhance the corrosion resistance of high-strength Aluminum (Al) alloy A206 without compromising mechanical strength has been proposed. The improved corrosion resistance in Zr-micro-alloyed A206 is attributed to the refined grains, narrowed precipitation-free zones (PFZs), and modified precipitates with Al3Zr nanophase. With these benefits, the Al3Zr nanophase promotes a rapid oxide passivation film, inhibits diffusion and redeposition of copper (Cu), impedes chlorine (Cl) penetration through grain boundaries (GBs), and promotes cracking tolerance to mitigate corrosion degradation. Efficient specialized vehicle cooperative scheduling is significant for airport operations, particularly during times of high traffic, which reduces the risk of flight delays and increases customer satisfaction. In this paper,we construct a multi-type vehicles collaborative scheduling model with the objectives of minimizing vehicle travel distance and vehicle waiting time. Additionally, a three-layer genetic algorithm is designed, and the crossover and mutation operations are enhanced to address the scheduling model. Due to the numerous uncertainties and stochastic interferences in airport operations, conventional scheduling methods unable to effectively address these challenges, this paper combines improved genetic algorithm, simulation algorithm, and digital twins technology, proposing a multi-strategy scheduling framework for specialized vehicles based on digital twins. The scheduling framework utilises digital twins to capture dynamic data from the airport and continuously adjusts the scheduling plan through the scheduling strategy to ensure robust scheduling for specialized vehicles. In the event of severe delays at the airport, fast and efficient re-scheduling can be achieved. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed scheduling framework is validated using domestic flight data, and extensive experiments and analyses are conducted in different scenarios. Intelligent identification of the different lithology of outcrops has been a major research challenge in the field of geology. The manual identification of outcrop lithology is labor-intensive and lacks systematicity and consistency. Intelligent lithology identification based on deep convolutional neural networks can significantly reduce such workload and also serves as the foundation for intelligent outcrop research. In this paper, we propose a workflow based on the DeepLabV3+ semantic segmentation neural network algorithm. The algorithm can intelligently identify the lithology of outcrop photos obtained by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) oblique photography. Based on this workflow, we can complete the tasks of dataset creation, model training, intelligent identification of outcrop lithology, and model accuracy evaluation. The dataset used in this paper is composed of high-resolution photos of the Fugu Tiansheng Bridge Shihezi Formation profile collected by UAV, which are annotated with three major categories and five subcategories of lithology. Then, we input the data into four types of neural networks, including a fully convolutional network (FCN), SegNet, U-Net, and DeepLabV3+, for training. The results indicate that the recognition accuracies of the four neural network algorithms, FCN, SegNet, U-Net, and DeepLabV3+, for outcrop lithology classification tasks based on UAV oblique photography images are 90.81%, 90.44%, 92.03%, and 93.88%, respectively. Among such algorithms, the DeepLabV3+ semantic segmentation neural network algorithm is reliable and accurate, and can provide a basis for intelligent lithology recognition. Our study aimed to investigate the relationship between sleep–wake changes and depressive symptoms events among midlife women. We enrolled 1579 women aged 44–56 years who had no clinically relevant depressive symptoms at baseline. Depressive symptoms were assessed at each visit using the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression scale. At the third and fourth follow-up visits, women reported their sleep habits. The sleep midpoint was defined as the time to fall asleep plus one-half of the sleep duration. Sleep–wake changes were determined by the difference in the midpoint of sleep between the third and fourth visits, which were 1 year apart. The median follow-up time was 7 years (range 1–7 years). Cox proportional hazard models were fitted to calculate hazard ratios and 95% confidence intervals for the incidence of depressive symptoms associated with sleep–wake changes. After adjusting for potential confounding factors, the hazard ratio (95% confidence interval) of depressive symptoms for severe sleep midpoint changes was 1.51 (1.12, 2.05) compared with mild sleep midpoint changes. This relationship remained statistically significant and changed little when additionally controlling for sleep duration, sleep quality, insomnia symptoms, use of sleep medications, use of nervous medications, glucose, insulin, lipids, dietary energy intake, and C-reactive protein. In this work, an innovative design model aimed at enhancing the efficacy of ground-state probabilistic logic with a binary energy landscape (GSPL-BEL) is presented. This model enables the direct conversion of conventional CMOS-based logic circuits into corresponding probabilistic graphical representations based on a given truth table. Compared to the conventional approach of solving the configuration of Ising model-basic probabilistic gates through linear programming, our model directly provides configuration parameters with embedded many-body interactions. For larger-scale probabilistic logic circuits, the GSPL-BEL model can fully utilize the dimensions of many-body interactions, achieving minimal node overhead while ensuring the simplest binary energy landscape and circumventing additional logic synthesis steps. To validate its effectiveness, hardware implementations of probabilistic logic gates were conducted. Probabilistic bits were introduced as Ising cells, and cascaded conventional XNOR gates along with passive resistor networks were precisely designed to realize many-body interactions. HSPICE circuit simulation results demonstrate that the probabilistic logic circuits designed based on this model can successfully operate in free, forward, and reverse modes, exhibiting the simplest binary probability distributions. For a 2-bit × 2-bit integer factorizer involving many-body interactions, compared to the logic synthesis approach, the GSPL-BEL model significantly reduces the number of consumed nodes, the solution space (in the free-run mode), and the number of energy levels from 12, 4096, and 9–8, 256, and 2, respectively. Our findings demonstrate the significant potential of the GSPL-BEL model in optimizing the structure and performance of probabilistic logic circuits, offering a new robust tool for the design and implementation of future probabilistic computing systems. The relationship between bone mineral density and type 2 diabetes is still controversial. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and bone mineral density (BMD) in elderly men and postmenopausal women. The participants in this study included 692 postmenopausal women and older men aged ≥ 50 years, who were divided into the T2DM group and non-T2DM control group according to whether or not they had T2DM. The data of participants in the two groups were collected from the inpatient medical record system and physical examination center systems, respectively, of the Tertiary Class A Hospital. All data analysis is performed in SPSS Software. Compared with all T2DM group, the BMD and T scores of lumbar spines 1–4 (L1–L4), left femoral neck (LFN) and all left hip joints (LHJ) in the non-T2DM group were significantly lower than those in the T2DM group (P < 0.05), and the probability of major osteoporotic fracture in the next 10 years (PMOF) was significantly higher than that in T2DM group (P < 0.001). However, with the prolongation of the course of T2DM, the BMD significantly decreased, while fracture risk and the prevalence of osteoporosis significantly increased (P < 0.05). We also found that the BMD of L1-4, LFN and LHJ were negatively correlated with homeostatic model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) (P = 0.028, P = 0.01 and P = 0.047, respectively). The results also showed that the BMD of LHJ was positively correlated with indirect bilirubin (IBIL) (P = 0.018). Although the BMD was lower in the non-T2DM group than in the T2DM group, the prolongation of the course of T2DM associated with the lower BMD. And the higher prevalence of osteoporosis and fracture risk significantly associated with the prolongation of the course of T2DM. The popularity of wireless communication technology and smart devices make emerging tasks tend to be computationally intensive. Unfortunately, mobile devices are often computationally resource-constrained. Mobile edge computing is proposed to offer computing power for these resource-limited devices to solve the computing requirement of their tasks. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) enabled edge networks are flexible and low-cost, so they are considered to provide more flexible computing service for mobile devices. However, UAV-enabled edge networks are limited by the weak wireless propagation environment. To this end, we introduce intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) into the UAV-enabled edge networks in which IRS is used to construct a stronger link between the mobile devices and the UAV for task offloading. We formulate the IRS-aided offloading problem as an optimization problem to optimize the overall delay by jointly optimizing UAV movement, offloading decision, IRS configuration, and UAV's computation resource. To solve the problem more efficiently, we use the deep reinforcement learning (DRL) model to explore the intelligent action that can minimize the task processing time. Purpose: Financial toxicity is used to describe the financial hardship experienced by cancer patients. Financial toxicity may cause negative consequences to patients, whereas little is known in Chinese context. This study aimed to explore the level of financial toxicity, coping strategies, and quality of life among Chinese patients with hematologic malignancies. Patients and methods: We conducted a prospective, observational study among 274 Chinese patients with hematologic malignancies from November 2021 to August 2022 in Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. Clinical data were extracted from electronic clinical records. Data on financial toxicity, coping strategies, and quality of life were collected using PRO measures. Chi-square or independent t test and multivariate logistic regression were performed to explore the associated factors of financial toxicity and quality of life, respectively. Effects of financial toxicity on coping strategies were examined using Chi-square. Results: The mean age of the participants was 50.2 (± 14.6) years. Male participants accounted for 57.3%. About half of the participants reported high financial toxicity. An average median of ¥200,000 on total medical expenditures since the diagnosis was reported. The average median monthly out-of-pocket health expenditure relating to cancer treatment was ¥20,000 (range ¥632–¥172,500) after reimbursement. Reduce daily living expenses (64.9%), borrowing money (55.7%), and choosing cheaper regimens (19.6%) were the commonly used strategies to cope with financial burden. Financial toxicity was negatively associated with quality of life (β = 0.071, P = 0.001). Conclusions: Financial toxicity was not uncommon in patients with hematological malignancies. Reducing daily living expenses, abandoning treatment sessions, and borrowing money were the strategies commonly adopted by participants to defray cancer costs. Additionally, participants with high level of financial toxicity tended to have worse quality of life. Objective: To develop a discrimination pipeline concerning both radiomics and spatial distribution features of brain lesions for discrimination of multiple sclerosis (MS), aquaporin-4-IgG-seropositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), and myelin-oligodendrocyte-glycoprotein-IgG-associated disorder (MOGAD). Methods: Hyperintensity T2 lesions were delineated in 212 brain MRI scans of MS (n = 63), NMOSD (n = 87), and MOGAD (n = 45) patients. To avoid the effect of fixed training/test dataset sampling when developing machine learning models, patients were allocated into 4 sub-groups for cross-validation. For each scan, 351 radiomics and 27 spatial distribution features were extracted. Three models, i.e., multi-lesion radiomics, spatial distribution, and joint models, were constructed using random forest and logistic regression algorithms for differentiating: MS from the others (MS models) and MOGAD from NMOSD (MOG-NMO models), respectively. Then, the joint models were combined with demographic characteristics (i.e., age and sex) to create MS and MOG-NMO discriminators, respectively, based on which a three-disease discrimination pipeline was generated and compared with radiologists. Results: For classification of both MS-others and MOG-NMO, the joint models performed better than radiomics or spatial distribution model solely. The MS discriminator achieved AUC = 0.909 ± 0.027 and bias-corrected C-index = 0.909 ± 0.027, and the MOG-NMO discriminator achieved AUC = 0.880 ± 0.064 and bias-corrected C-index = 0.883 ± 0.068. The three-disease discrimination pipeline differentiated MS, NMOSD, and MOGAD patients with 75.0% accuracy, prominently outperforming the three radiologists (47.6%, 56.6%, and 66.0%). Conclusions: The proposed pipeline integrating multi-lesion radiomics and spatial distribution features could effectively differentiate MS, NMOSD, and MOGAD. The use of three-level converters with low switching frequency (SF) modulation is urgently needed for medium voltage high power applications. However, since it is not possible to frequently adjust the injected zero-sequence voltage and duty time of redundant vectors, the neutral point (NP) voltage problem of three-level converters becomes a tricky issue under low SFs. In this paper, an optimized low SF modulation with NP voltage control is proposed, which is based on half-wave symmetry selective harmonic elimination pulse width modulation. The proposed modulation specifically addresses the low-frequency NP voltage fluctuation of three-level converters, using the amplitude and phase of the 3n-order harmonics as degrees of freedoms (DOFs). In addition, it actively optimizes the control problem into constraint equations. By revealing the relationship between these new DOFs and low-frequency NP voltage fluctuation, and obtaining the optimum settings for the new DOFs, the newly established constraint equations can naturally suppress the low-frequency NP voltage fluctuation, without the need for real-time switching angle adjustments. It fits very well with the feature that switching angles can only be calculated offline and used via a table online. The mechanisms of medium- and low-temperature denitrations using selective catalytic reduction (SCR) by combined CO + NH3 on Mn–Ce/activated carbon (AC) catalysts and their poisoning by SO2 were investigated. Several Mn–Ce/AC catalysts prepared and then poisoned by SO2 were used in the study. The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were systematically characterized before and after poisoning, and the mechanism of SO2 poisoning was proposed. SO2 poisoning considerably affects the Mn–Ce/AC catalyst, decreasing its denitration rate from 98% to 47.9% and N2 selectivity from 96 to 85%. This can be attributed to several phenomena. SO2 poisoning increases the surface roughness of the catalyst and results in the formation of Mn(SO4)2, other sulfates, and other substances, which block the catalyst pores and reduce the content of the C and O elements on the catalyst surface as well as its specific surface area, consequently decreasing the adsorption area available for the reaction gas. Moreover, the crystallinity of MnOx on the surface of the catalyst increases, decreasing the contents of Mn4+, Ce4+ and chemosorbed oxygen. In addition, the surface functional groups, such as –COOH, –OH, and C=O, are destroyed, reducing the adsorption sites of the reaction gas and the adsorption capacity of the catalyst, consequently inhibiting the SCR reaction. Ce can reduce the effects of SO2 poisoning on the catalyst because Ce4+ can improve its oxygen storage capacity, increase the adsorption sites for the reaction gas, and react with SO2, preventing sulfate formation and pore blockage. However, excessive Ce loading causes metal agglomeration on the catalyst surface, reducing its denitration efficiency. After SO2 poisoning, the contents of Mn4+, Mn3+, and Ce4+ decreased in the Mn -Ce/AC catalysts, inhibiting the synergistic reaction between Mn and Ce, which decreased the number of oxygen vacancies and Oβ, consequently inhibit the reaction's conversion to fast selective catalytic reduction. Thus, SO2 destroyed the functional groups; occupied the oxygen vacancies and active site; and destroyed the –COOH, O–H, and C=O functional groups on the surface of the Mn–Ce/AC catalyst, reducing the acidity and number of active sites on the catalyst surface. Key message: A large fragment deletion ofCpAPRR2, encoding a two-component response regulator-like protein, which influences immature white rind color formation in zucchini (Cucurbita pepo). Fruit rind color is an important agronomic trait that affects commodity quality and consumer choice in zucchini (Cucurbita pepo). However, the molecular mechanism controlling rind color is unclear. We characterized two zucchini inbred lines: ‘19’ (dark green rind) and ‘113’ (white rind). Genetic analysis revealed white immature fruit rind color to be controlled by a dominant locus (CpW). Combining bulked segregant analysis sequencing (BSA-seq) and Kompetitive Allele-Specific PCR (KASP) markers, we mapped the CpW locus to a 100.4 kb region on chromosome 5 and then narrow down the candidate region to 37.5 kb using linkage analysis of 532 BC1 and 1613 F2 individuals, including 6 coding genes. Among them, Cp4.1LG05g02070 (CpAPRR2), encoding a two-component response regulator-like protein, was regarded to be a promising candidate gene. The expression level of CpAPRR2 in dark green rind was significantly higher than that in white rind and was induced by light. A deletion of 2227 bp at the 5′ end of CpAPRR2 in ‘113’ might explain the white phenotype. Further analysis of allelic diversity in zucchini germplasm resources revealed rind color to be associated with the deletion of CpAPRR2. Subcellular localization analysis indicated that CpAPRR2 was a nuclear protein. Transcriptome analysis using near-isogenic lines with dark green (DG) and white (W) rind indicated that genes involved in photosynthesis and porphyrin metabolism pathways were enriched in DG compared with W. Background: In recent years, syphilis is still the most common sexually transmitted disease worldwide. Pregnant women infected with syphilis can transmit it to the fetus in utero through mother-to-child transmission, which can directly lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes. The aim of this study was to investigate the associations between maternal syphilis infection and low birth weight and preterm birth in offspring. Methods: Multinomial logistic regression model was used to analyze the associations between maternal syphilis infection and low birth weight and preterm birth, and to explore its stability through subgroup analysis. Results: A total of 34,074 subjects were included in the study. After adjusting for potential confounders, maternal syphilis infection during pregnancy was associated with a 2.60-fold (95% CI 1.83–3.69) increased risk of low birth weight and a 1.91-fold (95% CI 1.35–2.69) increased risk of preterm birth. Subgroup analysis showed that the association was stable. Conclusion: We found that maternal syphilis infection during pregnancy was significantly associated with an increased risk of low birth weight and preterm birth. The implementation of reasonable syphilis screening and standardized treatment and follow-up of pregnant syphilis may have important practical significance in reducing the low birth weight and preterm birth rate in offspring. Background: Psychotic major depression (PMD) is characterized by major depressive disorder (MDD) accompanied by delusions or hallucinations. While the prevalence of PMD and its association with anxiety have been studied, gender-specific differences and the role of thyroid hormones in PMD-related anxiety remain less explored. Methods: A total of 1718 first-episode and drug-naïve MDD patients was assessed for the presence of PMD and severe anxiety. Clinical assessments, including Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD), Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA), Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), and Clinical Global Impressions-Severity (CGI-S) scale, were conducted to assess depression, anxiety, psychotic symptoms, and clinical severity, respectively. Blood samples were collected to measure thyroid function parameters. Results: The prevalence of severe anxiety was higher in PMD patients compared to non-psychotic MDD patients (71.3% vs. 5.3%). No significant gender differences were observed in the prevalence of severe anxiety among PMD patients. However, elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels and increased depression severity (HAMD scores) were identified as independent risk factors for severe anxiety in female PMD patients. In contrast, no significant risk factors were found in male PMD patients. The area under the receiver operating characteristic (AUCROC) analysis revealed that the HAMD score and TSH level showed acceptable discriminatory capacity for distinguishing between female PMD patients with and without severe anxiety. Conclusion: This study highlights the heightened prevalence of severe anxiety in PMD patients, with TSH levels and depression severity emerging as gender-specific risk factors for anxiety in females. These findings suggest the importance of thyroid hormone assessment and tailored interventions for managing anxiety in female PMD patients. Large Language Models (LLM) continue to demonstrate their utility in a variety of emergent capabilities in different fields. An area that could benefit from effective language understanding in cybersecurity is the analysis of log files. This work explores LLMs with different architectures (BERT, RoBERTa, DistilRoBERTa, GPT-2, and GPT-Neo) that are benchmarked for their capacity to better analyze application and system log files for security. Specifically, 60 fine-tuned language models for log analysis are deployed and benchmarked. The resulting models demonstrate that they can be used to perform log analysis effectively with fine-tuning being particularly important for appropriate domain adaptation to specific log types. The best-performing fine-tuned sequence classification model (DistilRoBERTa) outperforms the current state-of-the-art; with an average F1-Score of 0.998 across six datasets from both web application and system log sources. Objectives: The aims of this clinical study were to investigate success rate, vital pulp survival rate, tooth survival rate and patient-reported masticatory ability by evaluating the pain symptoms and signs of the cracked teeth as well as Index of Eating Difficulty (IED) and Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14) questionnaire after cracked teeth were restored with occlusal veneers. Materials and methods: 27 cracked teeth of 24 patients with cold and/or biting pains without spontaneous/nocturnal pains were recruited in this study. The cracked teeth were restored with occlusal veneers fabricated by lithium disilicate ceramic. Cold test and biting test were used to evaluate pain signs. IED and OHIP-14 questionnaire were used to evaluate masticatory ability. FDI criteria was used to evaluate restorations. The paired Wilcoxon test was used to analyze significant differences of detection rate of pain signs, OHIP scores and IED grade before and after restorations. Kaplan–Meier survival curve was used to describe the success rate, vital pulp survival rate, and tooth survival rate. Results: 27 cracked teeth were restored with occlusal veneers with average of 22.4-month follow-up. Two cracked teeth had pulpitis and pain signs of the other cracked teeth completely disappeared. OHIP total scores were significantly reduced after treatment. Scores of ‘pain’, ‘occlusal discomfort’, ‘uncomfortable to eat’, ‘diet unsatisfactory’ and ‘interrupted meals’ reduced significantly after treatment. After treatment, IED grades of 25 vital teeth were significantly lower than those before treatment. FDI scores of 25 restorations except for 2 teeth with pulpitis were no greater than 2. The 12 months accumulated pulp survival rate of the cracked teeth was 92.6%. The 12 months accumulated tooth survival rate was 100%. The success rate at the latest recall was 92.6%. Conclusion: Occlusal veneer restorations with success rate of 92.6% and the same pulp survival rate might be an effective restoration for treating the cracked teeth. Staphylococcus epidermidis is an opportunistic pathogen commonly implicated in medical device-related infections. Its propensity to form biofilms not only leads to chronic infections but also exacerbates the issue of antibiotic resistance, necessitating high-dose antimicrobial treatments. In this study, we explored the use of diclofenac sodium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, as an anti-biofilm agent against S. epidermidis. In this study, crystal violet staining and confocal laser scanning microscope analysis showed that diclofenac sodium, at subinhibitory concentration (0.4 mM), significantly inhibited biofilm formation in both methicillin-susceptible and methicillin-resistant S. epidermidis isolates. MTT assays demonstrated that 0.4 mM diclofenac sodium reduced the metabolic activity of biofilms by 25.21–49.01% compared to untreated controls. Additionally, the treatment of diclofenac sodium resulted in a significant decrease (56.01–65.67%) in initial bacterial adhesion, a crucial early phase of biofilm development. Notably, diclofenac sodium decreased the production of polysaccharide intercellular adhesin (PIA), a key component of the S. epidermidis biofilm matrix, in a dose-dependent manner. Real-time quantitative PCR analysis revealed that diclofenac sodium treatment downregulated biofilm-associated genes icaA, fnbA, and sigB and upregulated negative regulatory genes icaR and luxS, providing potential mechanistic insights. These findings indicate that diclofenac sodium inhibits S. epidermidis biofilm formation by affecting initial bacterial adhesion and the PIA synthesis. The duration-of-fertility (DF), which was defined as the number of days when breeding hens lay fertile eggs following copulation or artificial insemination (AI), is an important economic trait in chick production when it has strong effects on fertile egg output and production costs. Little is known about the underlying genes and molecular markers related to DF trait to date. Here, we measured the DF of 701 Chinese Jinghong hens and 408 Jingfen hens. The DF showed high individual variability and potential for genetic improvement. Then, 192 Jinghong breeding hens were provided for a genome-wide association study, 27 SNPs respectively located in three genomic linkage regions (GGA1:41Kb; GGA3:39Kb and GGA8:39Kb) were suggested to be significantly associated with DF. Particularly, 6 of these 27 SNPs were further verified to be associated with DF in the 701 Jinghong and 408 Jingfen hens using PCR-RFLP genotyping method. These 27 SNPs were also mapped to 7 genes according to their genomic position. Furtherly, 5 of these 7 genes were tested using qPCR. Results show that the CYP2D6, WBP2NL, ESR1 and TGFBR3 mRNA expression levels of hens with long DF were significantly higher than the hens with short DF (P < 0.05). Overall, findings in our research provide new insight into the genetic basis of duration-of-fertility in breeding hens while providing new clues for further functional validation on the DF-related genetic regulation mechanism and improvement of DF through chicken breeding. Incomplete handwritten Dongba character often appears in heritage documents and its recognition is significant for heritage and philology. However, all previous methods always suppose that a complete Dongba character is used as input, and thus fail to achieve satisfactory performance when applied to incomplete Dongba character recognition. In this paper, an end-to-end network (DB2RNet) is proposed for incomplete handwritten Dongba character image recognition by multiscale feature restoration. Specifically, we first develop datasets that contain different levels of incomplete Dongba characters. A restoration module is proposed to restore the input incomplete Dongba character, and then a recognition module is employed to recognize Dongba character. By introducing an inter-module residual connection between the restoration module and recognition module, the DB2RNet can strengthen feature information transmission and boost the recognition performance. In addition, novel multiscale feature blocks are introduced, which can provide more effective texture and contextual information transmission for Dongba character image restoration, and thus yielding better restoration effects and better recognition results. Extensive experiments are conducted on Dongba character, Chinese character and Oracle character datasets and validate the effectiveness, superiority and robustness of our methods. Background: The 8th AJCC TNM staging for non-metastatic lymph node-positive colon adenocarcinoma patients(NMLP-CA) stages solely by lymph node status, irrespective of the positivity of tumor deposits (TD). This study uses machine learning and Cox regression to predict the prognostic value of tumor deposits in NMLP-CA. Methods: Patient data from the SEER registry (2010–2019) was used to develop CSS nomograms based on prognostic factors identified via multivariate Cox regression. Model performance was evaluated by c-index, dynamic calibration, and Schmid score. Shapley additive explanations (SHAP) were used to explain the selected models. Results: The study included 16,548 NMLP-CA patients, randomized 7:3 into training (n = 11,584) and test (n = 4964) sets. Multivariate Cox analysis identified TD, age, marital status, primary site, grade, pT stage, and pN stage as prognostic for cancer-specific survival (CSS). In the test set, the gradient boosting machine (GBM) model achieved the best C-index (0.733) for CSS prediction, while the Cox model and GAMBoost model optimized dynamic calibration(6.473) and Schmid score (0.285), respectively. TD ranked among the top 3 most important features in the models, with increasing predictive significance over time. Conclusions: Positive tumor deposit status confers worse prognosis in NMLP-CA patients. Tumor deposits may confer higher TNM staging. Background: Lumbar–iliac fixation (LIF) is a common treatment for Tile C1.3 pelvic fractures, but different techniques, including L4–L5/L5 unilateral LIF (L4–L5/L5 ULIF), bilateral LIF (BLIF), and L4–L5/L5 triangular osteosynthesis (L4–L5/L5 TOS), still lack biomechanical evaluation. The sacral slope (SS) is key to the vertical shear of the sacrum but has not been investigated for its biomechanical role in lumbar–iliac fixation. The aim of this study is to evaluate the biomechanical effects of different LIF and SS on Tile C1.3 pelvic fracture under two-legged standing load in human cadavers. Methods: Eight male fresh-frozen human lumbar–pelvic specimens were used in this study. Compressive force of 500 N was applied to the L4 vertebrae in the two-legged standing position of the pelvis. The Tile C1.3 pelvic fracture was prepared, and the posterior pelvic ring was fixed with L5 ULIF, L4–L5 ULIF, L5 TOS, L4–L5 TOS, and L4–L5 BLIF, respectively. Displacement and rotation of the anterior S1 foramen at 30° and 40° sacral slope (SS) were analyzed. Results: The displacement of L4–L5/L5 TOS in the left–right and vertical direction, total displacement, and rotation in lateral bending decreased significantly, which is more pronounced at 40° SS. The difference in stability between L4–L5 and L5 ULIF was not significant. BLIF significantly limited left–right displacement. The ULIF vertical displacement at 40° SS was significantly higher than that at 30° SS. Conclusions: This study developed an in vitro two-legged standing pelvic model and demonstrated that TOS enhanced pelvic stability in the coronal plane and cephalad–caudal direction, and BLIF enhanced stability in the left–right direction. Borocarbonitride (BCN) materials have shown significant potential as photocatalysts for hydrogen production. However, traditional bulk BCN exhibits only moderate photocatalytic activity. In this study, we introduce an environmentally conscious and sustainable strategy utilizing biomass-derived carbon sources to synthesize BCN nanosheets. The hydrogen evolution efficiency of BCN-A nanosheets (110 μmol h−1 g−1) exceeds that of bulk BCN photocatalysts (12 μmol h−1 g−1) by 9.1 times, mainly due to the increased surface area (205 m2g−1) and the presence of numerous active sites with enhanced charge separation capabilities. Notably, the biomass-derived BCN nanosheets offer key advantages such as sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and reduced carbon footprint during hydrogen production. These findings highlight the potential of biomass-based BCN nanomaterials to facilitate a greener and more efficient route to hydrogen energy, contributing to the global transition towards renewable energy solutions. Escherichia coli O157:H7 (E. coli O157:H7) is a foodborne pathogenic microorganism that is commonly found in the environment and poses a significant threat to human health, public safety, and economic stability worldwide. Thus, early detection is essential for E. coli O157:H7 control. In recent years, a series of E. coli O157:H7 detection methods have been developed, but the sensitivity and portability of the methods still need improvement. Therefore, in this study, a rapid and efficient testing platform based on the CRISPR/Cas12a cleavage reaction was constructed. Through the integration of recombinant polymerase amplification and lateral flow chromatography, we established a dual-interpretation-mode detection platform based on CRISPR/Cas12a-derived fluorescence and lateral flow chromatography for the detection of E. coli O157:H7. For the fluorescence detection method, the limits of detection (LODs) of genomic DNA and E. coli O157:H7 were 1.8 fg/µL and 2.4 CFU/mL, respectively, within 40 min. Conversely, for the lateral flow detection method, LODs of 1.8 fg/µL and 2.4 × 102 CFU/mL were achieved for genomic DNA and E. coli O157:H7, respectively, within 45 min. This detection strategy offered higher sensitivity and lower equipment requirements than industry standards. In conclusion, the established platform showed excellent specificity and strong universality. Multimodal sentiment analysis (MSA) seeks to understand human affection by leveraging signals from multiple modalities. A core challenge in MSA is the effective extraction of sentimental relations between these signals, as this can enhance a model's consistency and accuracy. Existing studies typically use multimodal matching tasks to learn all semantic relations between modalities and then use downstream task to obtain the specific semantics from the multimodal representation. However, there are multiple semantics between modalities, such as action semantics, scene semantics and sentiment semantics. Relying solely on specific tasks to filter these semantics often results in a surplus of redundant information in the multimodal representation, potentially degrading MSA accuracy. In addition, the unimodal semantic expression is also important. In this paper, we propose a semantic-specific multimodal relation learning method to correlate modalities with specific semantics. Specifically, with smaller computational resources, we enhance unimodal sentimental semantic expression while diminishing non-sentimental semantic information in the multimodal representation. We conducted experiments on multimodal sentiment analysis datasets, CMU-MOSI, CMU-MOSEI and CH-SIMS. The results show that our method outperforms the current state-of-the-art. Nuclear photonics is a emerging field of science which combines research with new generation γ -ray sources based on traditional and laser-based electron accelerators. Here, we discuss isomeric studies carried out with γ -ray beams having either continuous, or quasi-monochromatic photon spectra. In experiments with high-power lasers, intense secondary radiation sources are generated. Such experiments explore isomer population or de-excitation in plasma environments. Laser-accelerated particle beams with high charge also facilitate high-energy nuclear excitations, leading to efficient production of nuclear isomers with higher lying isomeric state (reaching MeV energy level) within very-short time scales. Using cheap epichlorohydrin and dimethylamine as monomers in order to introduce cationic groups, acrylamide as another monomer, and ammonium persulfate as initiator through free radical copolymerization in aqueous solution, cationic sacrifice agent (SA1) was synthesized. Similarly, an amphoteric sacrifice agent (SA2) containing both quaternary amine and carboxylate functional group was synthesized. The terpolymers were used as a sacrifice material for polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PCE), and its reactive mechanism in cement–PCE–water with clay system was studied, which is desirable to solve the problem of PCE sensitivity to clay. The flow behavior of cement paste containing PCE in the presence and absence of clay was assessed. It was pointed out that the presence of montmorillonite (MMT) or kaolin significantly reduced the dispersion effect of PCE, eventually decreased the slurry fluidity. Fortunately, the addition of the sacrifice agents hindered this disadvantage. The fluidity of slurry increased with the increase in the amount compared with the lack of sacrificial agent. The sacrifice agent has a positive effect on retaining the fluidity of cement pastes, and to some extent makes up for the poor dispersion of PCE in the presence of clay impurities. The adsorption of SA1 or SA2 by MMT particles was studied by total organic carbon (TOC) analyzer. The results show that SA1 or SA2 can be preferentially adsorbed on particles by MMT compared with conventional PCE which result in more releasing PCE macromolecules and less useless loss. Perilla frutescens (L.) Britton, a member of the Lamiaceae family, stands out as a versatile plant highly valued for its unique aroma and medicinal properties. Additionally, P. frutescens seeds are rich in Îś-linolenic acid, holding substantial economic importance. While the nuclear and chloroplast genomes of P. frutescens have already been documented, the complete mitochondrial genome sequence remains unreported. To this end, the sequencing, annotation, and assembly of the entire Mitochondrial genome of P. frutescens were hereby conducted using a combination of Illumina and PacBio data. The assembled P. frutescens mitochondrial genome spanned 299,551 bp and exhibited a typical circular structure, involving a GC content of 45.23%. Within the genome, a total of 59 unique genes were identified, encompassing 37 protein-coding genes, 20 tRNA genes, and 2 rRNA genes. Additionally, 18 introns were observed in 8 protein-coding genes. Notably, the codons of the P. frutescens mitochondrial genome displayed a notable A/T bias. The analysis also revealed 293 dispersed repeat sequences, 77 simple sequence repeats (SSRs), and 6 tandem repeat sequences. Moreover, RNA editing sites preferentially produced leucine at amino acid editing sites. Furthermore, 70 sequence fragments (12,680 bp) having been transferred from the chloroplast to the mitochondrial genome were identified, accounting for 4.23% of the entire mitochondrial genome. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that among Lamiaceae plants, P. frutescens is most closely related to Salviamiltiorrhiza and Platostoma chinense. Meanwhile, inter-species Ka/Ks results suggested that Ka/Ks < 1 for 28 PCGs, indicating that these genes were evolving under purifying selection. This paper discussed systematically collection points setting, excitation mode and data processing method. Through the application in testing for highway pavement base before and after grouting maintenance, the results show that the method is simple and accurate. The detection results can be displayed in a two-dimensional image form and it is easy to be used in road maintenance. This method can be used to identify and locate the damages of the pavement base, to judge the uniformity of the pavement base structure. Background: The efficacy of levodopa, the most crucial metric for Parkinson's disease diagnosis and treatment, is traditionally gauged through the levodopa challenge test, which lacks a predictive model. This study aims to probe the predictive power of T1-weighted MRI, the most accessible modality for levodopa response. Methods: This retrospective study used two datasets: from the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (219 records) and the external clinical dataset from Ruijin Hospital (217 records). A novel feature extraction method using MedicalNet, a pre-trained deep learning network, along with three previous approaches was applied. Three machine learning models were trained and tested on the PPMI dataset and included clinical features, imaging features, and their union set, using the area under the curve (AUC) as the metric. The most significant brain regions were visualized. The external clinical dataset was further evaluated using trained models. A paired one-tailed t-test was performed between the two sets; statistical significance was set at p < 0.001. Results: For 46 test set records (mean age, 62 ± 9 years, 28 men), MedicalNet-extracted features demonstrated a consistent improvement in all three machine learning models (SVM 0.83 ± 0.01 versus 0.73 ± 0.01, XgBoost 0.80 ± 0.04 versus 0.74 ± 0.02, MLP 0.80 ± 0.03 versus 0.70 ± 0.07, p < 0.001). Both feature sets were validated on the clinical dataset using SVM, where MedicalNet features alone achieved an AUC of 0.64 ± 0.03. Key responsible brain regions were visualized. Conclusion: The T1-weighed MRI features were more robust and generalizable than the clinical features in prediction; their combination provided the best results. T1-weighed MRI provided insights on specific regions responsible for levodopa response prediction. Cooking quality is the main factor determining the market value of rice. Although several major genes and a certain number of QTLs controlling cooking quality have been identified, the genetic complexity and environmental susceptibility limit the further improvement for cooking quality by molecular breeding. This research conducted a genome-wide association study to elucidate the QTLs related to cooking quality including amylose content (AC), gel consistency (GC) and alkali spreading value (ASV) by using 450 rice accessions consisting of 300 indica and 150 japonica accessions in two distinct environments. A total of 54 QTLs were identified, including 25 QTLs for AC, 12 QTLs for GC and 17 QTLs for ASV. Among them, 10 QTLs were consistently observed by the same population in both environments. Six QTLs were co-localized with the reported QTLs or cloned genes. The Wx gene for AC and GC, and the ALK gene for ASV were identified in every population across the two environments. The qAC9-2 for AC and the qGC9-2 for GC were defined to the same interval. The OsRING315 gene, encoding an E3 ubiquitin ligase, was considered as the candidate gene for both qAC9-2 and qGC9-2. The higher expression of OsRING315 corresponded to the lower AC and higher GC. Three haplotypes of OsRING315 were identified. The Hap 1 mainly existed in the japonica accessions and had lower AC. The Hap 2 and Hap 3 were predominantly present in the indica accessions, associated with higher AC. Meanwhile, the GC of accessions harboring Hap 1 was higher than that of accessions harboring Hap 3. In addition, the distribution of the three haplotypes in several rice-growing regions was unbalanced. The three traits of cooking quality are controlled by both major and minor genes and susceptible to environmental factors. The expression level of OsRING315 is related to both AC and GC, and this gene can be a promising target in quality improvement by using the gene editing method. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) is closely related to cardiometabolic risk factors and atherosclerosis. This study aims to investigate whether the insertion/deletion (I/D) variant of ACE gene impacts cardiometabolic risk factors, premature coronary artery disease (PCAD), and severity of coronary lesions. PubMed, Cochrane Library, Central, CINAHL, and ClinicalTrials.gov were searched until December 22, 2023. 94,270 individuals were included for the analysis. Carriers of DD genotype had higher levels of triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), body mass index (BMI), and waist circumference (WC) than carriers of II or ID genotypes. In addition, carriers of DD genotype were at high risk of PCAD and multiple vessel lesions. The impacts of ACE I/D variant on lipid levels were significant in American individuals but stronger in male individuals. In contrast, the impacts of ACE I/D variant on PCAD and severity of coronary lesions were primarily significant in Caucasian individuals. This study indicates that the ACE I/D variant has a slight but significant impact on cardiometabolic risk factors, PCAD, and severity of coronary lesions. Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) may benefit high-risk populations with ACE DD genotype to prevent PCAD and multiple vessel lesions. Objective: To investigate the anatomic risk factors of knee in patients with acute non-contact anterior cruciate ligament (aACL) ruptures to develop ramp lesions. Methods: A total of 202 subjects were retrospectively divided into three groups: (1) aACL ruptures combined with ramp lesions group (n = 76); (2) isolated ACL ruptures group (n = 56) and (3) normal controls group (n = 70). Quantitative morphological parameters on MRI were measured including: diameter of medial femoral condyle (MFC), anterior-posterior length and depth of medial tibial plateau (MTP AP length and depth), lateral posterior tibial slope (LPTS) and medial posterior tibial slope (MTPS), asymmetry of LPTS and MPTS (LMPTS), lateral meniscal slope (LMS), and medial meniscal slope (MMS). Results: The MTP AP length, MTP AP length/MFC diameter ratio, MTP depth, LPTS and the asymmetry of LMPTS showed significant differences among the three groups (p < 0.001). The risk factors associated with the ramp lesions including a longer MTP AP length (OR 1.17, 95% CI 1.00–1.44, p = 0.044), increased MTP depth (OR 1.91, 95% CI 1.22–3.00, p = 0.005) and lager ratio (OR 1.11, 95% CI 1.01–1.22, p = 0.036). The highest AUC was the MTP AP length/MFC diameter ratio (0.74; 95% CI, 0.66–0.82). The combination model increased higher accuracy (0.80; 95% CI, 0.72–0.88). Conclusion: Several bony anatomic characteristics of the knee, especially the morphology of medial tibia plateau, are additional risk factors for aACL ruptures to develop ramp lesions.
