This work presents the analytical study of one dimensional time-fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equation arising in quantum mechanics. In present research, we establish an idea of the Sumudu transform residual power series method (ST-RPSM) to generate the numerical solution of nonlinear Schrödinger models with the fractional derivatives. The proposed idea is the composition of Sumudu transform (ST) and the residual power series method (RPSM). The fractional derivatives are taken in Caputo sense. The proposed technique is unique since it requires no assumptions or variable constraints. The ST-RPSM obtains its results through a series of successive iterations, and the resulting form rapidly converges to the exact solution. The results obtained via ST-RPSM show that this scheme is authentic, effective, and simple for nonlinear fractional models. In this study, we examine multiple perspectives on soliton solutions to the (3+1)-dimensional Boussinesq model by applying the unified Riccati equation expansion (UREE) approach. The Boussinesq model examines wave propagation in shallow water, which is derived from the fluid dynamics of a dynamical system. The UREE approach allows us to derive a range of distinct solutions, such as single, periodic, dark, and rational wave solutions. Furthermore, we present the bifurcation, chaotic, and sensitivity analysis of the proposed model. We use planar dynamical system theory to analyze the structure and characteristics of the system’s phase portraits. The current study depends on a dynamic structure that has novel and unexplored results for this model. In addition, we display the behaviors of associated physical models in 3-dimensional, density, and 2-dimensional graphical structures. Our findings demonstrate that the UREE technique is a valuable mathematical tool in engineering and applied mathematics for studying wave propagation in nonlinear evolution equations. In physical domains, Beta derivatives are necessary to comprehend wave propagation across various nonlinear models. In this research work, the modified Sardar sub-equation approach is employed to find the soliton solutions of (1+1)-dimensional time-fractional coupled nonlinear Schrödinger model with Beta fractional derivative. These models are fundamental in real-world applications such as control systems, processing of signals, and fiber optic networks. By using this strategy, we are able to obtain various unique optical solutions, including combo, dark, bright, periodic, singular, and rational wave solutions. In addition, We address the sensitivity analysis of the proposed model to investigate the truth that it is extremely sensitive. These studies are novel and have not been performed before in relation to the nonlinear dynamic features of these solutions. We show these behaviors in 2-D, contour 3-D structures across the associated physical characteristics. Our results demonstrate that the proposed approach offers useful results for producing solutions of nonlinear fractional models in application of mathematics and wave propagation in fiber optics. Software vulnerabilities pose a significant threat to system security, necessitating effective automatic detection methods. Current techniques face challenges such as dependency issues, language bias, and coarse detection granularity. This study presents a novel deep learning-based vulnerability detection system for Java code. Leveraging hybrid feature extraction through graph and sequence-based techniques enhances semantic and syntactic understanding. The system utilizes control flow graphs (CFG), abstract syntax trees (AST), program dependencies (PD), and greedy longest-match first vectorization for graph representation. A hybrid neural network (GCN-RFEMLP) and the pre-trained CodeBERT model extract features, feeding them into a quantum convolutional neural network with self-attentive pooling. The system addresses issues like long-term information dependency and coarse detection granularity, employing intermediate code representation and inter-procedural slice code. To mitigate language bias, a benchmark software assurance reference dataset is employed. Evaluations demonstrate the system's superiority, achieving 99.2% accuracy in detecting vulnerabilities, outperforming benchmark methods. The proposed approach comprehensively addresses vulnerabilities, including improper input validation, missing authorizations, buffer overflow, cross-site scripting, and SQL injection attacks listed by common weakness enumeration (CWE). The Helmholtz equation plays a crucial role in the study of wave propagation, underwater acoustics, and the behavior of waves in the ocean environment. The Helmholtz equation is also used to describe propagation through ocean waves, such as sound waves or electromagnetic waves. This paper presents the Elzaki transform residual power series method (E T-RPSM) for the analytical treatment of fractional-order Helmholtz equation. To develop this scheme, we combine Elzaki transform (E T) with residual power series method (RPSM). The fractional derivatives are described in Caputo sense. The E T is capable of handling the fractional order and turning the problem into a recurrence form, which is the novelty of our paper. We implement RPSM in such a way that this recurrence relation generates the results in the form of an iterative series. Two numerical applications are considered to demonstrate the efficiency and authenticity of this scheme. The obtained series are determined very quickly and converge to the exact solution only after a few iterations. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are vital in modern material science, offering unique properties for gas storage, catalysis, and drug delivery due to their highly porous and customizable structures. Chemical graph theory emerges as a critical tool, providing a mathematical model to represent the molecular structure of these frameworks. Topological indices/molecular descriptors are mathematical formulations applied to molecular models, enabling the analysis of physicochemical properties and circumventing costly lab experiments. These descriptors are crucial for quantitative structure-property and structure-activity relationship studies in mathematical chemistry. Circinaria russus sp. nov. is described based on morpho–anatomical and phylogenetic analysis. The novel species is characterized by its reddish brown thallus, absence of marginal lobes, taller hymenium 175–190 µm, and larger ascospores 22–32 × 15–20 than the similar taxon Circinaria tortuosa. A phylogenetic analysis, based on ITS nrDNA sequencing and ML analysis, supported the separation of the novel species. The present investigation aims to use entropy analysis to analyze the unsteady Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow in a second-grade fuzzy hybrid Al 2 O 3 - Cu/SA nanofluid over an exponentially shrinking/stretching surface. The model for hybridization of the mixture of alumina Al 2 O 3 and copper (Cu) nanoparticles in the sodium alginate (SA) base fluid under heat source/sink, nonlinear thermal radiation, and viscous dissipation. The fundamental partial differential equations (PDEs) are simplified using an appropriate similarity conversion to generate the ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The analytical computation occurs in the MATHEMATICA program implementing the homotopy analysis method (HAM). In terms of code validity, our results are preferable to previous findings. The features of several parameters against the velocity, surface friction coefficient, entropy, temperature, and Nusselt number are described through graphs. According to our findings, the rise in the Brinkman and Reynolds numbers enhanced the total entropy of the system. Furthermore, the nanoparticle volume fraction and viscus dissipation magnifies the fluid temperature while retards the flow profile throughout the domain. Fluid velocity declined due to the Lorentz force using magnetic impact applications. The imprecision of nanofluid and hybrid nanofluid volume fractions was modelled as a triangular fuzzy number (TFN) [0%, 1%, 2%] for comparison. The double parametric approach was applied to deal with the fuzziness of the associated fuzzy parameters. The nonlinear ODEs convert into fuzzy differential equations (FDEs) and use HAM for the fuzzy solution. From our observation, the hybrid nanofluid displays the maximum heat transfer compared to nanofluids. This important contribution will support industrial growth, particularly in the processing and manufacturing sectors. In this paper, we aim to present a powerful approach for the approximate results of multi-dimensional diffusion problems with time-fractional derivatives. The fractional order is considered in the view of the Caputo fractional derivative. In this analysis, we develop the idea of the Yang homotopy perturbation transform method (YHPTM), which is the combination of the Yang transform (YT) and the homotopy perturbation method (HPM). This robust scheme generates the solution in a series form that converges to the exact results after a few iterations. We show the graphical visuals in two-dimensional and three-dimensional to provide the accuracy of our developed scheme. Furthermore, we compute the graphical error to demonstrate the close-form analytical solution in the comparison of the exact solution. The obtained findings are promising and suitable for the solution of multi-dimensional diffusion problems with time-fractional derivatives. The main advantage is that our developed scheme does not require assumptions or restrictions on variables that ruin the actual problem. The thin needle is viewed as a revolutionary object since it has a thinner thickness than a boundary layer. As a consequence, scientific and engineering applications for instance electrical equipment, hot wire anemometers and geothermal power generation are significantly impacted by the flow deformed by a thin moving needle. MHD Eyring–Powell fluid flow over a thin needle perceiving heat source, chemical reaction and nonlinear thermal radiation is the subject of the current investigation. In addition, the present study utilizes the Buongiorno model to examine the special effects of the fluid's Brownian and thermophoretic forces. The solution of the dimensionless form of ODEs is produced by applying exact renovations to the given problem, which is determined by the structure of PDEs. The bvp4c algorithm, based on the finite difference approach is utilized to numerically solve such modified ODEs. For validation, the results obtained indicate good agreement when compared to the literature. Finally, a detailed graphical analysis of key parameters is shown and explained while keeping in mind the physical significance of flow parameters. The results show that as magnetic and fluid parameter values improve, the velocity gradient falls. Increasing heat source and radiation parameters optimises heat transfer rate. The augmentation of the Lewis number and chemical reaction accelerates the rate of mass transfer on the surface. Brownian motion and thermophoresis provide enhanced thermal performance for the fluid temperature. Beyond the concerns associated with marginalised groups' underrepresentation, we posited that socio-demographic aspects and associated stigma provoke gendered social exclusion among older adults. Although these linkages have been frequently acknowledged, concrete evidence remains complicated. In a sample of 384 older adults from various administrative zones of the Lahore metropolitan, we examined that gendered social exclusion is typically connected with socio-demographic stereotypes. Statistics revealed that 72.3% of older adults reported social exclusion. Homemakers and non-workers were more prone to experience social exclusion than employed respondents. Findings further discovered that the social exclusion rates were more significant among older women (93.1%) than older men (47.5%). Among older women, those involved in some employment, having a personal income, living in higher-income households and joint families with their children or peers, and having access to a private car were less possibly socially excluded. The substantial gender aspect of social exclusion appears to be provoked by a gender-based socio-cultural context, limiting older women's participation in daily socio-economic pursuits. Compression stockings/socks are one of the most essential materials to treat vascular disorders in veins. However, the comfort of wearing such stockings over prolonged period of time is a major problem. There is limited research in the area of comfort optimization while retaining the compressional performance. The current work is carried out with an aim to determine the optimum level of the input factors e.g., knitting structure, plaiting yarn linear density and main yarn linear density for achieving desired stretch recovery percentage and thermo-physiological comfort properties of compression socks used in treatment of vascular disorders. Their optimum combination was determined by using Taguchi based techniques for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution i.e., TOPIS. In this study, thickness, areal density, air permeability, thermal resistance, over all moisture management capacity (OMMC), stretch and recovery % were optimized simultaneously by using Taguchi-TOPSIS method. The results showed that linear density of plaiting and main yarn has significant influence on all the comfort related properties for compression stockings/socks. The optimum sample had linear density 20 denier for Lycra covered by 70 denier of nylon 66 in the plaiting yarn. It also suggested 120 denier nylon 66 in the main yarn knitted into a plain single jersey structure. The percentage contribution of the factors i.e., structure, plaiting yarn linear density and main yarn linear density was obtained by using ANOVA which are 7%, 31% and 42% respectively. It is worth mentioning that in case of compression stockings, the main yarn linear density has more significant effect on comfort properties as compared to other independent parameters. The results were verified by experiment, and the accuracy was relatively high (maximum error 8.533%). This study helped to select suitable knit structure with the change of linear densities of plaiting yarn and main yarn for comfortable compression stocking/sock and will fulfill the potential requirement for treatment of venous/vascular disorders. The novel methodology involving TOPSIS method helped in analyzing the cumulative contribution of the input parameters to achieve optimum compression as well as comfort performance. In this contribution, we describe the kinetics associated with the rac-Me2Si[2-Me-4-Ph-Ind]2ZrCl2 (Cat-1)/borate/TIBA catalyzed copolymerization of E/dienes (isoprene (IP), butadiene (BD), 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene (ENB), 4-vinylcyclohexene (VCH) and vinyl norbornene (VNB)), and E/diene/1-hexene (1H) terpolymerization by using thiophenecarbonyl chloride (TPCC) that was used in Ziegler-Natta (Z-N) and metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) and E/P polymerizations. In both types of polymerizations, a higher amount of dienes was incorporated when VNB (2.70 mole %) and VCH (1.56 mole %) were added as comonomer, but IP and BD were incorporated with the moderated rate (0.6-1.1 mole %) with higher activities (3.45x106gm/mmolMt·h). The active center [Zr]/[C*] fraction is higher (61%) than previously reported PE polymerizations, especially in the case of E/IP, E/BD and E/IP/1H but lower than E/P (87%) copolymerization. Significantly, IP and BD activated the inactive catalytic sites that were dormant in the PE. The propagation rate constant (kpE) with IP was higher (kp564 Lmol-1s-1), while kpE with VNB (kp379 Lmol-1s-1) and VCH (kp304 Lmol-1s-1), which were lower than PE. This difference is built because of the diffusion barrier in the system. Compared to E/diene copolymers, kpE values in E/diene/1H terpolymerizations for IP, VCH, and VNB are higher and stable except ENB and determine that 1H prevents the insertion of dienes and reduces the crystalline properties resultant moderate kpE. Even though the E/BD copolymers decreased butadiene content of over 2 mol% resulted in better crystalline characteristics, lower diffusion barriers, and a higher kpE value. In concept, IP and BD are linear and readily available for coordination. While VCH, ENB and VNB are cyclic and bulky, metallocene in contact ion pairs cannot accept ENB, VNB, and VCH for coordination and subsequently act as dormant in the polymerization. Nanotechnology is an emerging field with a multitude of applications in medicine, agriculture, and engineering. To date, several methods are used for the synthesis of metallic nanoparticles including chemical, physical, and green methods. The later method is preferred for the synthesis of NPs due to its safe nature, efficiency, and minimal toxicity. Recently, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have been attracting attention due to their excellent biocompatibility and diverse medical applications. A diverse group of microorganisms or their metabolites (bacteria, fungi, and yeast) have been utilized to synthesize AuNPs from their respective bulk salts. This review focuses on the resources exploited for biosynthesis of AuNPs, the current understanding about their synthesis, and the emerging trends, along with their mechanistic antimicrobial and anticancer applications. A significant amount of pollutants containing organics, toxic elements, and heavy metals are discharged daily from the textile and pharmaceutical industries into clean water leading to various diseases worldwide. In the present work, sunlight-mediated yttrium (Y)-praseodymium (Pr) co-doped ZnO photocatalysts anchored on reduced graphene (rGO) and conducting polymer (PANI) were synthesized via co-precipitation and ultrasonication approach for the photodegradation of synthetic dyes. The as-synthesized catalysts were characterized through XRD, FTIR, Raman, FE-SEM, UV–Vis, and PL for structural, morphological, and optical studies. The XRD diffraction peaks have confirmed the successful doping of Y and Pr without altering the basic hexagonal structure of ZnO and anchoring of rGO and PANI. FTIR demonstrated the Zn–O bond vibration, and Raman exhibited the peaks related to optical phonon modes of ZnO in all grown samples with a small shift. Roughly spherical particles anchored on PANI and rGO were confirmed by FE-SEM images. The optical energy bandgap has shifted towards the visible region for grown samples, evident from UV–Visible spectra. PL spectra exhibited lower recombination of charge carriers in rGO and PANI-based catalysts. The photocatalytic degradation experiment against methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) dyes under solar light demonstrated that rGO anchored catalyst completely degraded both dyes under 40 min solar light irradiation with an observed rate constant 0.1403 min−1, and 0.1402 min−1, respectively, and has higher reusability up to 6th cycle towards MB dye. The enhanced photodegradation efficiency is because of lower recombination of charge carriers in rGO-based composites than others, electron acceptor nature, fast electron mobility, massive surface area, and higher generation of reactive species such as superoxide and hydroxyl radicals (confirmed by scavengers tests). Counting Polynomial is the mathematical function that was initially introduced for application in chemistry in 1936 by G. Polya. Partitioning of graphs can be seen in the coefficients of these mathematical functions, which also reveal the frequency with which these partitions happen. We developed a novel and efficient method for constructing the necessary counting polynomials for a zigzag-edge coronoid formed by the fusion of a Starphene graph and a Kekulenes graph. In this paper, Mohand homotopy transform scheme is introduced to obtain the numerical solution of fractional Kundu–Eckhaus and coupled fractional Massive Thirring equations. The massive Thirring model consists of a system of two nonlinear complex differential equations, and it plays a dynamic role in quantum field theory. We combine Mohand transform with homotopy perturbation scheme and show the results in the form of easy convergence. The accuracy of the scheme is considerably increased by deriving numerical results in the form of a quick converge series. The current research examines the role of chemical reaction, nonlinear thermal radiation and slippage impact on magnetic second-grade fluid flow with diluted dispersion of nanoparticles using a theoretical bioconvection model over an exponentially stretched sheet. There are also new characteristics such as Brownian motion and thermophoresis. In the problem formulation, the boundary layer approximation is used. Using the suitable transformations, the energy, momentum, micro-organisms and concentration equations are generated into nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The solution to the resultant problems was calculated via the Homotopy analysis method (HAM). Environmental parameters' effects on velocity, temperature, microbes and concentration profiles are graphically displayed. When comparing the current results to the previous literature, there was also a satisfactory level of agreement. In comparison with a flow based on constant characteristics, the flow with variable thermal conductivity is shown to be significantly different and realistic. The temperature and motile density of the fluid grew in direct proportion to the thermophoresis motion, buoyancy ratio and Brownian motion parameters. Also, the motile density profile decreases down for Pe and Lb while increasing when bioconvection Rayleigh number and buoyancy ratio. The structural, magnetic, and dielectric properties of Yb ions substituted Ca-hexaferrites (Ca-HFs) synthesized using the citrate sol–gel method were studied. XRD and SEM, techniques were used to evaluate the size and shape of the samples. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) patterns of prepared samples revealed the production of a single M-type single phase hexagonal ferrite with space group 167: R-3c, hexagonal of P63/mmc for structural characterization. Using a scanning electron microscope, the surface morphology of the particle was investigated, and the particle size was determined (SEM). FTIR spectra confirmed the iron–oxygen bands of X-type hexagonal ferrites at tetrahedral and octahedral sites. The high influence of Yb+3 substitutions on the FTIR spectra further confirmed that the dopants play a significant role in these ferrites. The electrical and dielectric properties of Yb substituted Ca-HFs were investigated using the complex impedance spectroscopy technique at various temperatures, frequencies, and substitution ratios. Yb substitution was discovered to have a significant impact on dielectric loss, dielectric constant, Ac conductivity, and dissipation factor. It was fascinating to see how Ytterbium replacement resulted in a significant improvement in magnetic characteristics. With a given substitution ratio, activation energy levels can be altered to a certain level. The Verway Hopping Model, Maxwell Wagner Model, and Koop's theory were used to describe the conduction and polarization mechanisms. The trend was also influenced by the substitution of Yb. Climate change is a severe threat for productivity of sugarcane crop. Crop models have potential to quantify the climate change impacts, and management practices effects on development and productivity of sugarcane crop. These models provide simulations as a result of interaction between genotype, management, and environment. The current study was conducted with the objectives to (1) calibration, evaluation and application of CSM-CANEGRO-Sugarcane model (2) climate change assessment and make adaptation strategies for industrial (spring and autumn crops) and non-industrial (summer crop) sugarcane. Two field experiments regarding industrial sugarcane were carried out at Multan during 2013–2014 and 2014–2015 and two field experiments regarding ponda chewing sugarcane (non-industrial, thick, soft and juicier sugarcane) at Vehari during 2017 and 2018. Calibration and evaluation of CSM-CANEGRO-Sugarcane model showed that all model statistical parameters were obtained under acceptable range. Model sensitivity was also evaluated against Carbon, Temperature and Water analysis for both sites. Results revealed that average temperature is increased almost 0.94 °C during baseline weather data (1980–2018), while according to different climate projections by Global Climate Models (GCMs), average temperature 3–5 °C can be increase during mid-century. So, without adaptation strategies, fresh cane yield will be decreased ranging from 15.31 to 22.57% at different GCMs during mid-century (2039–2069). Adaptation strategies; like 18–25 days earlier planting, increasing 15% N application quantity and increasing frequency of irrigation and growing heat tolerant and more growing degree days requiring varieties can compensate the negative impact of climate change in future scenario. The second law of thermodynamics establishes the concept of entropy as a physical property of a thermodynamic system. Graph entropies defined for various graph invariants have shown applications in different fields of physics, chemistry, statistics, biology, and social sciences. In this paper, we define graph entropies in terms of fifth geometric-arithmetic index, fourth atom-bond connectivity index and Sanskruti index. We computed the bounds of these graph entropies for arbitrary graphs and for molecular graphs of single-walled armchair carbon nanotube Y-junctions and constructed the regression equations between the computed entropies and topological invariants. The present investigation was aimed to screen drought tolerant wheat varieties by evaluating the potential of Si fertilization.Study was conducted in two sets of experiments, in first (hydroponic) investigation two wheat varieties out of eleven were screened out based upon agronomic parameters, membrane stability, potassium (K+) distribution and tolerance index. The screened varieties were then subjected to different silicon fertilizers under water deficit pot conditions in second experiment and impact of Si sources was monitored via agronomic, physiological and biochemical attributes.Faisalabad-08 and Anaj-17 were best performing varieties in tested parameters. The silica fertilizer application improved the growth, physiological, biochemical and ionic attributes under water deficit and increased the grain yield of crop. Among tested sources, silicic acid proved best as compared to other silicates in terms of ameliorating the osmotic stress. The silicic acid application improved the root and shoot growth parameters i.e. increased plant height by 13% and grain yield by 43%, relative water contents (30%), membrane stability (46%), antioxidant activity (up to 64%), organic solutes production and silicification of cell wall by increasing Si uptake by 9 folds.It was observed that combined use of tolerant varieties and silica fertilizer as silicic acid can uplift plant growth and production under water deficit conditions. In an uncertain atmosphere, the magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) flow in three principal flows of the third grade fluid across two parallel plates is presented. Fuzzy differential equations are constructed by manipulating dimensionless differential equations. The prime purpose of the current article is to use a semi-analytical approach fuzzy-based Adomian decomposition method to achieve numerical results for nonlinear FDEs with fuzzy boundary conditions. Triangular fuzzy numbers are used in fuzzy BCs with help of α -cut approach. This strategy is linked to the membership function. In a graphic and tabular depiction, the effect of α and other constraints on fuzzy velocity profiles is explored. In this work, the heat transfer features and stagnation point flow of Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) hybrid second-grade nanofluid through a convectively heated permeable shrinking/stretching sheet is reported. The purpose of the present investigation is to consider hybrid nanofluids comprising of Alumina Al 2 O 3 and Copper Cu nanoparticles within the Sodium Alginate (SA) as a host fluid for boosting the heat transfer rate. Also, the effects of free convection, viscous dissipation, heat source/sink, and nonlinear thermal radiation are considered. The converted nonlinear coupled fuzzy differential equations (FDEs) with the help of triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs) are solved using the numerical scheme bvp4c. The numerical results are acquired for various engineering parameters to study the Nusselt number, skin friction coefficient, velocity, and temperature distribution through figures and tables. For the validation, the current numerical results were found to be good as compared to existing results in limiting cases. It is also inspected by this work that with the enhancement of the volume fraction of nanoparticles, the heat transfer rate also increases. So, it may be taken as a fuzzy parameter for a better understanding of fuzzy variables. For the comparison, the volume fraction of nanofluids and hybrid nanofluid are said to be TFN [0, 0.1, 0.2]. In the end, we can see that fuzzy triangular membership functions (MFs) have not only helped to overcome the computational cost but also given better accuracy than the existent results. Since the emergence of COVID-19 pandemic in China in late 2019, scientists are striving hard to explore non-toxic, viable anti-SARS-CoV-2 compounds or medicines. We determined In vitro anti-SARS-CoV-2 activity of oral formulations (syrup and capsule)of an Iodine-complex (Renessans). First, cell cytotoxicity of Renessans on the Vero cells was determined using MTT assay. Afterwards, the antiviral activity of Renessans was determined using viral inhibition assays and TCID50. For this, nontoxic concentrations of the Renessans were used. The results showed that Renessans is nontoxic to the cells up to 50 µg/mL. At 1.5 µg/mL concentration, SARS-CoV-2 production was significantly reduced to 101.43 TCID50 and 101.58 TCID50 for the syrup and capsule, respectively, as compare to virus infected control cells 106.08 TCID50 and we found the dose dependent inhibition of virus replication in the presence of Renessans. Renessans inhibited SARS-CoV-2 with an EC50 value of 0.425 µg/mL and 0.505 µg/mL for syrup and capsule, respectively. Furthermore, there was no virus detected at concentration of 50 µg/mL of Renessans. This study indicates that Renessans, containing iodine, have potential activity against SARS-CoV-2 which needs to be further investigated in human clinical trials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pakistan is 5th most populous country in the world and striving to achieve population equilibrium. Unfortunately, one in five women in Pakistan has not been using contraceptives and thus bearing unwanted pregnancies. Female's participation in their own matters and benefits from social, economic, and political spheres has remained very low. Gender inequality is often cited as a barrier to improving women's sexual and reproductive health outcomes, including contraceptive use. Pakistan is ranked at 148th place out of the 149 countries in Global Gender Gap Report 2018, which indicates very high gender inequality. Keeping in view this fact, we investigated the impact of women's decision-making autonomy on contraceptive use among married women age 15–49 years in Pakistan. Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey 2018 data has been used for analysis by using descriptive statistics, association tests, and multiple logistic regression. Women's participation in making four household decisions: access to health care; large household purchases; what to do with the husband earning and freedom to visit family and relatives have been used as women's decision-making autonomy. The results indicated that women's decision-making autonomy has been positively associated with contraceptive use. Women's age, province of residence, education level, household wealth status, number of children, time since last sex, and awareness about family planning services have also been found statistically significantly associated with contraceptive use. The current study suggests integrating the interventions for women's decision-making autonomy into family planning programs. For this purpose, the development of community-based awareness programs for women's decision-making autonomy and contraceptive use could be useful interventions to achieve population equilibrium. In this article, we suggest an alternative approach for the study of some partial differential equations (PDEs) arising in physical phenomena such as chemical kinetics and population dynamics. He–Laplace variational iteration method (He-LVIM) is a simple but effective way where the variational iteration method (VIM) is coupled with Laplace transforms method. He's polynomials are obtained by the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) to deal with the nonlinear terms. Fisher equation, the generalized Fisher equation and the nonlinear diffusion equation of the Fisher type are suggested to demonstrate the accuracy and stability of this method. In many countries with wastewater irrigation and intensive use of fertilizers (minerals and organics), heavy metal deposition by crops is regarded as a major environmental concern. A study was conducted to determine the impact of mineral fertilizers, cow manure, poultry manure, leaf litter, and sugarcane bagasse on soil's trace Pb content and edible parts of vegetables. It also evaluated the risk of lead (Pb) contamination in water, soil, and food crops. Six vegetables (Daucus carota, Brassica oleracea, Pisum sativum, Solanum tuberosum, Raphanus sativus, and Spinacia oleracea) were grown in the field under twelve treatments with different nutrient and water inputs. The lead concentrations in soil, vegetables for all treatments and water samples ranged from 1.038–10.478, 0.09346–9.0639 mg/kg and 0.036–0.26448 mg/L, The concentration of lead in soil treated with wastewater in treatment (T6) and vegetable samples was significantly higher, exceeding the WHO's permitted limit. Mineral and organic fertilizers combined with wastewater treatment reduced lead (Pb) concentrations in vegetables compared to wastewater application without organic fertilizers. Health risk indexes for all treatments except wastewater treatment (T6) were less than one. Pb concentrations in mineral fertilizers, cow manure, poultry manure, leaf litter, and sugarcane bagasse treated were determined to pose no possible risk to consumers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Ag(n, xn)Ag reaction cross-sections within the neutron energies of 14-37 MeV were determined by using an activation and off-line γ-ray spectrometric technique. The quasi-mono energetic neutron beams were produced from the Be(p, xn)B reaction by using the proton beams of 25, 35, and 45 MeV at the Korean Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences, Korea. Monte Carlo simulation code MCNPX was used to simulate the neutron energy spectra, whereas the theoretical cross-sections were calculated using the TALYS 1.8 code. The experimental and theoretical reaction cross-sections show similar trends from lower to higher neutron energy. The isomeric cross-section ratios of Ag and Ag for the Ag(n, xn) reactions were also obtained from the experimental values of present work and compared with the literature data. Carbon-based materials are mostly used in supercapacitor due to control porosity, higher surface area, and easy processing for electrode production. However, it is still challenging to fabricate carbon/metal oxide-based nanocomposite electrodes with various structures and configurations for supercapacitors, particularly for miniaturized electronics. Here, in the present study, CeO2–Nd2O3/rGO ternary nanocomposite was synthesized by facial co-precipitation route, which evident enhanced capacitive performance than CeO2–Nd2O3 binary composite, bare CeO2, and Nd2O3. The rGO was homogeneously anchored on the surface of CeO2–Nd2O3 nanoparticles, forming a semi-spherical morphology. The electrochemical performance of all electrodes was investigated by different measurements. The ternary composite have a higher specific capacitance of 1265 F g−1 at 3 A g−1 current density and maintained 99% retention after 2000th cycles, showing excellent cycling performance and rate capability compared to other grown products. The excellent electrochemical pseudocapacitive performance of the ternary composite-based electrode could be ascribed due to rGO and its interfacial contact with CeO2–Nd2O3. The improved electrode conductivity generates plentiful active sites for charging and discharging and provides an easy path for the fast transportation of ions. These results open an innovative pathway for fabricating rGO and metal oxide-based composite in developing electrochemical energy storage devices for commercial production. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Because of the advent of monoclonal antibodies in the treatment of metastatic melanoma, patients with this disease are surviving longer. Early recognition of the disease has therefore become even more important. Case report: We present a patient with vitelliform maculopathy, a paraneoplastic retinal maculopathy that is under-recognized. Clinically the retinal findings of serous detachments and pigmentary macular changes are remarkable, while at the same time these patients have surprisingly very few symptoms. This is in contrast to patients who develop melanoma associated retinopathy (MAR) who are very symptomatic early in the disease, but with more subtle retinal findings. Conclusion: Monoclonal antibody treatment is changing the survival rates in metastatic disease making early diagnosis even more important. The family of halide perovskite materials is extremely large and has gained huge attention because of their low manufacturing cost and extraordinary structural, optical, electrical, and optoelectronic properties. These materials also deliver a pattern for designing new materials for energy conversion and energy storage applications. Here, we synthesized potassium cadmium chloride KCdCl3-based halide perovskite nanocomposites with rGO and fullerene-C60 by facile solvothermal method and studied their physical and electrochemical properties. The orthorhombic phase of KCdCl3 was confirmed from XRD spectra, and the existence of constituent elements (K, Cd, Cl, and C) was confirmed from EDX analysis. SEM images evident the successful anchoring of KCdCl3 particles over rGO and C60. BET results revealed the high surface area, pore radius, and pore volume of the KCdCl3/C60 electrodes. Furthermore, the electrochemical measurements demonstrated that KCdCl3/C60-based electrodes have a higher specific capacitance of 1135 F/g at 5 mV/s and cyclic stability (97.6% retention over 3000th cycles) than other grown electrodes. Also, GCD measurement results revealed that KCdCl3/C60 electrode has a high specific capacitance of 1420 F/g, an energy density of 2052 Wh/kg, and a power density of 4.19 W/kg at 1.0 A/g than other electrodes. Finally, intensive discussion proposed that halide perovskite nanocomposite electrodes can be used efficiently as supercapacitors electrode materials for future development in this field. A new commitment scheme based on position-verification and non-local quantum correlations is presented here for the first time in literature. The only credential for unconditional security is the position of committer and non-local correlations generated; neither receiver has any pre-shared data with the committer nor does receiver require trusted and authenticated quantum/classical channels between him and the committer. In the proposed scheme, receiver trusts the commitment only if the scheme itself verifies position of the committer and validates her commitment through non-local quantum correlations in a single round. The position-based commitment scheme bounds committer to reveal valid commitment within allocated time and guarantees that the receiver will not be able to get information about commitment unless committer reveals. The scheme works for the commitment of both bits and qubits and is equally secure against committer/receiver as well as against any third party who may have interests in destroying the commitment. Background and aims: The growth of green plants depends not only on photosynthesis, but also on the successful remobilization and translocation of seed phosphorus (P) reserves to the vegetative parts of the developing seedling during early growth. Remobilization and photosynthesis are therefore two parallel and co-coinciding processes involved in better seedling establishment and early growth. Methods: A study was conducted to evaluate the priority of developing maize seedlings to translocate the remobilized seed P reserves and external P uptake to seedling root and shoot sinks during 4 weeks of early growth. Two fluxes of P in growing seedlings, one from seed remobilized P reserves and one from external P uptake, were distinguished by labelling external nutrient solution P with P. Results: The seedling phytomass was equally distributed between seedling roots and shoots for 530 cumulated degree days after sowing. Seedlings partitioned up to 71 % of P from seed reserves and up to 68 % of P acquired from the nutrient solution, to the shoots, depending on the seed P content and P concentration in the nutrient solution. It appears that accumulation of P slows down in seedling roots corresponds to the translocative functions of root P towards shoots for start of photosynthesis. Conclusions: Our results suggest that the major part of seed P reserves and external P uptake were used in early development of the seedling and the preferred sink was seedling shoots. Background and aims: Phosphorus (P) nutrition is very important during early maize seedling growth. Remobilization of endogenous seed P and uptake of exogenous P are therefore of prime importance during this period. Our objectives were to study the effect of the availability of endogenous and exogenous P on i) remobilization of endogenous seed P, ii) the beginning of exogenous P uptake and its intensity, iii) their interaction and effect on seedling development. Methods: Seeds with high and low reserves of endogenous seed P were cultivated at three rates of availability of exogenous P (0, 100, 1,000 μM) over a growth period of 530 cumulated degree days after sowing. Exogenous P was labeled with radioactive P (P) to distinguish the two fluxes of P in seedlings, one due to remobilization of seed P and the other to uptake of exogenous P. Results: Initially, 86% of endogenous seed P was localized in the scutellum, mainly in the form of phytate, regardless of initial endogenous seed P. At 89 cumulated degree days after sowing (base temperature: 10°C), 98% of seed phytate was hydrolyzed in all treatments. In treatments with available exogenous P, significant uptake of exogenous P started at 71 cumulated degree days after sowing. Efficient uptake of exogenous P depended on its availability, but was independent of phytate hydrolysis and seedling P status. Significant loss of P from germinating seeds due to efflux was observed and was also independent of the availability of exogenous P. Conclusions: Our results show that hydrolysis of seed P was not influenced by the availability of exogenous P, and conversely, that uptake of exogenous P was not influenced by endogenous P in the seed. Key message: The GmGLP20.4 candidate gene plays an important role to improve soybean root architecture under low-nitrogen stress. The results lay the foundation for breeding low-nitrogen-tolerant soybean. Roots are fundamentally important for plant growth and development, facilitating water and nutrient uptake. Various abiotic and biotic factors significantly affect the root system architecture, especially low nitrogen (LN), but the molecular mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we identified GmGLP20.4, a germin-like protein (ubiquitous plant glycoproteins belonging to the Cupin superfamily) crucial for lateral root development and highly induced by LN stress in lateral roots of soybean. GmGLP20.4 overexpression increased root biomass through development of an improved root system in soybean under LN, whereas a significant decrease in root biomass was observed in the gmglp20.4 knockout mutant. Overexpression of GmGLP20.4 improved plant growth and root architecture in transgenic tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) under LN. Natural variation of the GT-1 cis-element in the promoter (T to A) of GmGLP20.4 was strongly associated with its expression level under LN, and significantly increased LN-sensitive variation (type A) was observed in wild soybean compared to that in elite cultivars. Thus, type A variation in the promoter of GmGLP20.4 may have been a site of artificial selection during domestication. The GmGT1-16g gene was highly expressed under LN and showed an expression pattern opposite to that of GmGLP20.4. A luciferase complementation imaging assay revealed that the GmGLP20.4 promoter specifically binds to GmGT1-16g. In conclusion, GmGLP20.4 is involved in soybean root development and the natural variation of its promoter will be useful in modern intercropping systems or to improve nitrogen-use efficiency. Adequate phosphorus (P) nutrition during early stages is critical for maize growth. Our objective was to evaluate the relative contribution of seed P reserves and exogenous P to maize nutrition during early growth stages. Seedlings were grown with labeled nutrient solution (P). Seedlings were harvested periodically over the course of the three-week study. Initially, 87% and 77% of the total C and N in seeds were located in the endosperm, whereas 86% of seed P was located in the scutellum as phytate. Up to the 7th day after sowing, 96% of phytate was hydrolyzed. Hydrolyzed forms of P were temporarily stored in the seed before being translocated to growing organs, suggesting that the hydrolysis of phytate was not a limiting step for P supply to seedlings. Significant P uptake by roots was observed from the 5th day after sowing on. Both sources of P supplied roots and leaves, with a slightly higher proportion of P from seed reserves going to leaves rather than to roots. Of total seed P, 60% and 92% was exported towards newly growing seedlings till 7th and 17th days after sowing and ceased to be a significant source of P for growth thereafter. Oat ( Avena sativa) is distinct among the cereals due to its multifunctional characteristics and nutritional profile. Recent advancement in food and nutrition has revealed the importance of its various components. It is a good source of dietary fiber especially β-glucan, minerals and other nutrients. Oat and oat by products have been proven to be helpful in the treatment of diabetes and cardiovascular disorders. Oat bran in particular, is good source of B complex vitamins, protein, fat, minerals besides heart healthy soluble fiber β-glucan. The β-glucan has outstanding functional properties and is of immense importance in human nutrition. Different physiological effects of β-glucan are related to its viscosity, attenuation of postprandial plasma glucose and insulin responses, high transport of bile acids towards lower parts of the intestinal tract and high excretion of bile acids thereby lowering of serum cholesterol levels. Moreover, it is helpful against coeliac disease. The incorporation of oat grains and oat bran in the food products improves not only the nutrition but also a therapy against various maladies. In the present work, pristine anatase titanium oxide (TiO2), vanadium oxide (V2O5), and yttrium oxide (Y2O3) nanopowders (NPs), and tri-phase TiO2–Y2O3–V2O5 nanocomposite (NC) were prepared via a simple co-precipitation method. The grown products were characterized by employing a range of techniques, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy (UV–vis), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) analysis. The XRD diffraction pattern confirmed the formation of NC having TiO2 tetragonal, Y2O3 cubic, and V2O5 orthorhombic phases. FTIR spectra evident the presence of metal–oxygen bond in NPs and NC. The energy bandgap (2.55 eV) of NC is found in the range of visible region specified its use as an efficient photocatalyst under sunlight illumination. EDX analysis confirmed the existence of Ti, Y, and V in the nanocomposite. The antibacterial studies against Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia, and Proteus vulgaris bacteria by varying concentrations (10, 20, 30, and 40 mg ml−1) showed that the NC has higher antibacterial activity than individual oxides. The photocatalytic activity exhibited that NC has the highest degradation efficiency 99.29%, 90.69%, and 99.83% against methylene blue (MB), safranin-O (SO), and methyl orange (MO) dyes as compared to pristine TiO2, V2O5, and Y2O3 NPs under 80 min direct sunlight irradiation. New 2,6-bis(1,3-dihydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)propan-2-yl)pyrrolo[3,4-f]isoindole-1,3,5,7(2H,6H)-tetraone (2Tris@PMDA) and its polymeric hybrids with Anderson polyoxometalates (DiTA@PMDA) and with Lindquist polyoxometalates (DiTL@PMDA) have been synthesized and thoroughly characterized. Using dr. Blade's approach, TiO2 based thin films of 2Tris@PMDA, DiTA@PMDA, and DiTL@PMDA have been designed to explore the adsorption study, optical activity, and photocurrent generation. The calculated electrical conductivity values for 2Tris@PMDA, DiTA@PMDA and DiTL@PMDA were 2.8 × 103 S/m−1.90 × 103 S/m, 2.7 × 103 S/m−1.7 × 103 S/m, and 2 × 103 S/m−1.65 ×103 S/m, respectively. Furthermore, computational analysis for 2Tris@PMDA, DiTA@PMDA, and DiTL@PMDA has been studied at B3LYP using 6-31 G (d, p) and LanL2DZ level of density functional theory. It indicates that the conjugation of 2Tris@PMDA with polyoxometalates makes them a suitable candidate for dye sensitized solar cell due to the charge transfer process in DiTA@PMDA and DiTL@PMDA. It is mentioned that understanding linear and non-linear thermo-elasticity systems is important for understanding temperature, elasticity, stresses, and thermal conductivity. One of the most crucial aspects of the current research is the solution to these systems. The fractional form of several thermo-elastic systems is explored, and elegant solutions are provided. The solutions of fractional and integer thermo-elastic systems are further discussed using tables and diagrams. The closed contact between the LRPSM and exact solutions is displayed in the graphs. Plotting fractional problem solutions demonstrates their convergence towards integer-order problem solutions for suitable modeling. The tables confirm that greater precision is rapidly attained as the terms of the derived series solution increase. In this research, we demonstrated a chondroitin sulfate (CHS), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulphonic acid (AMPS)-based captopril-loaded mucoadhesive hydrogel that efficiently facilitated the sustained release of drug molecules and is developed by radical polymerization technique. The designed hydrogel network is initially analyzed for the influence of different formulation ingredients as well as their quantities on swelling behavior and mucoadhesion capacity. The physical interaction along with biocompatibility of CHS/PVP-co-poly (AMPS) hydrogels is illustrated by utilizing FT-IR and histopathological analysis. Thermal stability, conversion of crystalline nature ingredient to amorphous nature hydrogel matrix, prolonged and sustained in vitro released behavior at 1.2 pH, porous surface morphology, and enhanced mucoadhesive characteristics are ensured by thermal analysis, XRD, drug in vitro released profile, SEM, and ex-vivo mucoadhesive analysis. Interestingly, the findings suggest that CHS/PVP-co-poly (AMPS)-based hydrogel systems are viable candidates for sustained delivery of captopril by enhancing its adherence with the gastric mucus layer and decreasing its dose frequency. Terahertz backward wave oscillators based on double corrugated waveguides are enabling devices for modern satellite communication systems. This research focuses on the design of a 0.34 THz double corrugated waveguide-based interaction structure using a sheet beam. This choice allows the use of shorter pillars along with a narrow gap between pillar rows. Shorter pillars are easier to manufacture and a narrow gap is required for better interaction impedance. Circular beams restrict the use of larger pillars and narrow gap between pillars. The performance of this interaction structure is compared with a folded waveguide. Under the same operating conditions involving a 20 kV beam voltage and a 30 mA beam current, the double corrugated waveguide interaction structure exhibits impressive performance in simulations, featuring an interaction impedance of 0.52 Ω at 0.34 THz, an output power of 3.2 W, and a bandwidth extending to approximately 20 GHz. In contrast, the folded waveguide, as per simulation results, registers values of 0.43 Ω , 2.6 W, and a 12 GHz bandwidth, respectively. The proposed double corrugated waveguide-based interaction structure is fabricated using modern CNC machining. Experimental validation reinforces the effectiveness of this design, with measurements indicating reflection below −20 dB and transmission exceeding −2 dB. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
