The aim of this study was to develop a simple but effective nomogram to predict risk of septic cardiomyopathy (SCM) in the intensive care unit (ICU). We analyzed data from patients who were first admitted to the ICU for sepsis between 2008 and 2019 in the MIMIC-IV database, with no history of heart disease, and divided them into a training cohort and an internal validation cohort at a 7:3 ratio. SCM is defined as sepsis diagnosed in the absence of other cardiac diseases, with echocardiographic evidence of left (or right) ventricular systolic or diastolic dysfunction and a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of less than 50%. Variables were selected from the training cohort using the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression to develop an early predictive model for septic cardiomyopathy. A nomogram was constructed using logistic regression analysis and its receiver operating characteristic (ROC) and calibration were evaluated in two cohorts. A total of 1562 patients participated in this study, with 1094 in the training cohort and 468 in the internal validation cohort. SCM occurred in 13.4% (147 individuals) in the training cohort, 16.0% (75 individuals) in the internal validation cohort. After adjusting for various confounding factors, we constructed a nomogram that includes SAPS II, Troponin T, CK-MB index, white blood cell count, and presence of atrial fibrillation. The area under the curve (AUC) for the training cohort was 0.804 (95% CI 0.764–0.844), and the Hosmer–Lemeshow test showed good calibration of the nomogram (P = 0.288). Our nomogram also exhibited good discriminative ability and calibration in the internal validation cohort. Clarifying the relationship between the man–machine environment and its impact on the tunnel wall drilling task performance (TWDTP) is crucial for enhancing the task performance. Based on a questionnaire survey, indicators of the man–machine environment that affect the TWDTP were proposed in this study, and exploratory factor analysis and a structural equation model were employed to examine the potential factors influencing the task performance and their degrees of influence. By comparing the discrepancy between the perceived performance and importance, the satisfaction of potential factors was evaluated, and the priority order for optimizing these factors was determined by considering the degree of influence and dissatisfaction. The results of survey data analysis based on actual tunnel drilling operation scenarios indicated that tools had the greatest impact on the TWDTP, followed by the quality of the physical environment, while human factors had the least influence on the task performance. Convenient functional maintenance is the key to improving the TWDTP, along with enhancing the quality of the working environment. Once these main aspects are optimized, it is important to consider additional factors such as availability of spare tools, efficient personnel organization, man–tool matching, and safety and health assurance. This research approach provides significant guidance in understanding the relationships between the man–machine environmental factors affecting the performance of complex engineering tasks and identifying key influencing factors, thus providing essential insights for optimizing the TWDTP. Good understanding of the in-situ stress and rock mass strength or their relative magnitudes is essential to underground geomechanical practices. A prevailing technique for estimating the maximum horizontal stress is the integrated method combining stress polygon, borehole breakout, and drilling-induced tensile fracture. This research embraced all these elements into a nondimensionalized chart to interpret the triangle relation among the in-situ stress, rock mass strength, and failure observation for an underground cylindrical opening at any depth. One of the potential applications of the nondimensionalized chart was shown via the filed observations from a testing tunnel in the Canadian underground research laboratory. An approaching method of untangling two correlated stress components was also proposed to constrain the in-situ stress ratio under the framework of Coulomb frictional failure theory. Acoustic velocity varies in deep-water environments, and the variable-velocity seawater can affect the dispersion characteristics of Scholte wave. To improve the accuracy of inversion, a horizontal layered-seawater and layered-seabed (HLSLS) model is established with continuously varying velocities for seabed S-wave velocity inversion using Scholte wave. First, we deduced the Scholte wave dispersion equation and the amplitude-depth equation of the HLSLS model based on wave theory. Then, with the real acoustic velocity of the seawater and submarine sediments parameters of the Shenhu area in the South China Sea, we analyzed the influence of variable-velocity seawater on the dispersion characteristics of Scholte wave. Finally, we performed two-dimensional (2D) S-wave velocity inversion on the field OBS multi-component data in the South China Sea. The results showed that the variation of seawater acoustic velocity had a certain influence on the dispersion characteristics of Scholte wave in deep water. Cytochrome P450s are a large family of protein-encoding genes in plant genomes, many of which have not yet been comprehensively characterized. Here, a novel P450 gene, CYP82D47, was isolated and functionally characterized from cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.). Quantitative real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis revealed that CYP82D47 expression was triggered by salicylic acid (SA) and ethephon (ETH). Expression analysis revealed a correlation between CYP82D47 transcript levels and plant defense responses against powdery mildew (PM) and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerinum (Foc). Although no significant differences were observed in disease resistance between CYP82D47-RNAi and wild-type cucumber, overexpression (OE) of CYP82D47 enhanced PM and Foc resistance in cucumber. Furthermore, the expression levels of SA-related genes (PR1, PR2, PR4, and PR5) increased in CYP82D47-overexpressing plants 7 days post fungal inoculation. The levels of ETH-related genes (EIN3 and EBF2) were similarly upregulated. The observed enhanced resistance was associated with the upregulation of SA/ETH-signaling-dependent defense genes. These findings indicate the crucial role of CYP82D47 in pathogen defense in cucumber. CYP82D47-overexpressing cucumber plants exhibited heightened susceptibility to both diseases. The study results offer important insights that could aid in the development of disease-resistant cucumber cultivars and elucidate the molecular mechanisms associated with the functions of CYP82D47. In this paper, a novel air bleeding aerodynamic diffuser is proposed based on the study of the traditional dump diffuser. The performance and flow characteristics of these two diffusers are compared and analyzed using the numerical simulation method, which is validated by experiments. The effects of length and hole diameter on the diffuser's performance are also studied. The results reveal that, at inlet Mach numbers of 0.15, 0.20 and 0.30, compared with the dump diffuser, the total pressure loss coefficient of the new diffuser decreases by 18.52 %, 15.05 % and 40.23 %. The performance of the air bleeding aerodynamic diffuser with varing lengths has little change, which means its aerodynamic capabilities are still capable of meeting the requirements of advanced combustion chambers. Mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (MsPGN), the most common pathological change in primary glomerulonephritis, is characterized by increased macrophage infiltration into glomeruli, which results in proinflammatory cytokine release. Macrophage infiltration and differentiation are induced by the Janus kinase 2 and signal transducer and activator of the transcription 1 (JAK2/STAT1) pathway. As a suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) downregulates the immune response by inhibiting the JAK2/STAT1 pathway, we investigated whether a peptide mimicking the SOCS1 kinase inhibitor region, namely, SOCS1 peptidomimetic, protects against nephropathy. Glomerular JAK2/STAT1 pathway activation was synchronized with kidney injury in an MsPGN rat model. Rats treated with the SOCS1 peptidomimetic exhibited reduced pathological glomerular changes and lessened macrophage recruitment. Moreover, in vivo, the phosphorylation of the JAK2/STAT1 pathway was downregulated in infiltrated macrophages of glomeruli. In vitro, the SOCS1 peptidomimetic inhibited macrophage M1 polarization by suppressing JAK2/STAT1 activation. In conclusion, our study demonstrated that the SOCS1 peptidomimetic plays a protective role against pathologic glomerular changes in MsPGN by reducing macrophage infiltration and inhibiting macrophage polarizing to the M1 phenotype. Intestinal microbiota was connected to Parkinson's Disease (PD) pathology. The ancient Chinese medication for PD is Compound Dihuang Granule (CDG), and we found a neuroprotective function in treating the constipation of PD patients. Nevertheless, the mechanism of action still needs to be clarified. We predicted the probable targets of CDG against PD through Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) network pharmacology and verified the analysis through animal experiments in vivo. The protein–protein interaction (PPI) network analysis screened PD-related genes, including Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4), TANK-binding kinase 1(TBK1), Nuclear Factor- Kappa B (NF-κB), and Tumor necrosis factor (TNF). Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analyses proved that the NF-κB and toll-like receptor signaling pathways serve a key function in CDG therapy of PD. Molecular docking analysis demonstrated that CDG strongly connected to TLR4/NF-κB. Experiments findings indicated that CDG improved the damage of dopaminergic neurons and gut microbial dysbiosis, ameliorated motor impairments, and suppressed the PD-associated inflammation and oxidative stress in mice induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahy dropyridine (MPTP). Purpose: Cannabis use is increasing legally worldwide, while its impact on cancer risk is unclear. This study was performed to investigate the relationship between cannabis use and the risk of several types of cancer. Methods: We conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study to explore the causality of cannabis use on 9 site-specific types of cancer including breast cancer, cervical cancer, melanoma, colorectal cancer, laryngeal cancer, oral cancer, oropharyngeal cancer, esophageal cancer, and glioma. Genome-wide significant genetic instruments (P < 5E-06) for cannabis use were extracted from a large-scale genome-wide association meta-analysis of European ancestry, whereas cancer genetic instruments were extracted from the UK Biobank (UKB) cohort and GliomaScan consortium in the OpenGWAS database. The inverse-variance weighted (IVW) was considered the main method for MR analysis, and sensitivity analyses including MR-Egger, weighted median, MR pleiotropy residual sum, and outlier test (MR-PRESSO) were conducted to evaluate the robustness of the results. Results: Cannabis use was a significant promoting factor for cervical cancer (OR = 1.001265, 95% CI 1.000375–1.002155, P = 0.0053). And we also detected suggestive evidence of the causality of cannabis use on laryngeal cancer (OR = 1.000350, 95% CI 1.000027–1.000672, P = 0.0336) and breast cancer (OR = 1.003741, 95% CI 1.000052–1.007442, P = 0.0467). No evidence of a causal association of cannabis use with other site-specific types of cancer was detected. Additionally, no pleiotropy or heterogeneity was found in the sensitivity analysis. Conclusion: This study indicates a causative association of cannabis use on cervical cancer, while cannabis use may increase the odds of breast cancer and laryngeal cancer, which require further evaluation in large-scale population-based studies. Information and large number of fault labels are required to achieve intelligent health status assessment of three-phase inverters. However, the current signals of inverters cannot be sufficiently collected since open-circuit faults (OCFs) occur briefly, which makes it difficult to determine the OCF mode of the various power switches. A transfer learning model that effectively uses a small amount of sample data to achieve domain adaptation is proposed to address this problem. First, collected fault-sensitive signals are subjected to a continuous wavelet transform (CWT) to obtain two-dimensional image data with more abundant fault feature information. Second, the source domain and target domain features are projected into the same feature space through a domain adversarial neural network (DANN) to achieve multi-domain feature extraction and adaptation. Then, in the feature extraction module of the DANN, the deep residual network (Resnet) structure is used to replace the typical convolutional neural network (CNN) structure. Finally, an intelligent diagnosis network is used to identify the health status of the inverter samples under variable conditions. Experimental results show that the proposed model can accurately and effectively realize the cross-domain health assessment of three-phase inverters in the case of small samples. Background: This study establishes a UHPLC‒MS/MS method for the detection of zanubrutinib and explores its interaction with fluconazole and isavuconazole in rats. Methods: A protein precipitation method using acetonitrile was used to prepare plasma samples using ibrutinib as an internal standard. Chromatographic separation and mass spectrometric detection of the analytes and internal standards were performed on a Shimadzu 8040 UHPLC‒MS/MS equipped with a Shim-pack velox C18 column (2.1 × 50 mm, 2.7 µm). Methanol and 0.1% formic acid-water were used as mobile phases. Intraday and interday precision and accuracy, extraction recoveries, and matrix effects of this method were determined. The linearity and sample stability of the method were assessed. Eighteen male Sprague‒Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups with zanubrutinib (30 mg/kg) alone, zanubrutinib in combination with fluconazole (20 mg/kg) or zanubrutinib in combination with isavuconazole (20 mg/kg). Blood samples (200 µL) were collected at designated time points (ten evenly distributed time points within 12 h). The concentration of zanubrutinib was determined using the UHPLC‒MS/MS method developed in this study. Results: The typical fragment ions were m/z 472.15 → 290.00 for zanubrutinib and m/z 441.20 → 138.10 for ibrutinib (IS). The range of the standard curve was 1-1000 ng/mL with a regressive coefficient (R2) of 0.999. The recoveries and matrix effects were 91.9-98.2% and 97.5-106.3%, respectively, at different concentration levels. The values for intra- and interday RSD% were lower than 9.8% and 5.8%, respectively. The RSD% value was less than 10.3%, and the RE% value was less than ± 4.0% under different storage conditions. Analysis of pharmacokinetic results suggested that coadministration with isavuconazole or fluconazole significantly increased the area under the curve (1081.67 ± 43.81 vs. 1267.55 ± 79.35 vs. 1721.61 ± 219.36), peak plasma concentration (332.00 ± 52.79 vs. 396.05 ± 37.19 vs. 494.51 ± 130.68), and time to peak (1.83 ± 0.41 vs. 2.00 ± 0.00 vs. 2.17 ± 0.41) compared to zanubrutinib alone. Conclusion: This study provides information to understand the metabolism of zanubrutinib with concurrent use with isavuconazole or fluconazole, and further clinical trials are needed to validate the results in animals. Objective: This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the associations between aneurysm wall enhancement (AWE), atherosclerotic protein levels, and aneurysm size in unruptured intracranial fusiform aneurysms (IFAs). Methods: Patients with IFAs underwent high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (HR-MRI) and atherosclerotic protein examinations from May 2015 to December 2021 were collected. A CRstalk (signal intensity [SI] of IFA wall/SI of pituitary stalk) > 0.60 was considered to indicate AWE. Atherosclerotic protein data was obtained from the peripheral blood. Aneurysmal characteristics included the maximal diameter of the cross-section (Dmax), location, type of IFA, presence of mural thrombus, and mural clots. Statistical analyses were performed with univariate analysis, logistic regression analysis, and Spearman's correlation coefficient. Results: Seventy-one IFAs from 71 patients were included in the study. Multivariate analysis revealed statin use (OR = 0.189, p = 0.026) and apolipoprotein B (Apo-B) level (OR = 6.019, p = 0.026) were the independent predictors of AWE in IFAs. In addition, statin use (OR = 0.813, p = 0.036) and Apo-B level (OR = 1.610, p = 0.003) were also the independent predictors of CRstalk. Additionally, we found that CRstalk and AWE were significantly positively associated with Dmax (rs = 0.409 and 0.349, respectively; p < 0.001 and p = 0.003, respectively). Conclusions: There may be correlations between AWE, atherosclerotic protein levels, and aneurysm size in patients with IFAs. Apo-B and statin use were independent predictors of AWE in IFAs, which have the potential to be new therapeutic targets for IFAs. In order to improve the accuracy of the parameters needed in the discrete element method (DEM) simulation process of wet-sticky feed raw materials, the JKR contact model in DEM was used to calibrate and verify the physical parameters of wet-sticky feed raw materials. Firstly, the parameters that have a significant effect on the angle of repose were screened using a Plackett–Burman design, and the screened parameters were: MM rolling friction coefficient, MM static friction coefficient, and JKR surface energy. Then, the three screened parameters were selected as the influencing factors and the accumulation angle of repose was selected as evaluating indicator; thus, the performance optimization experiments were carried out with the quadratic orthogonal rotation design. Taking the experimentally measured angle of repose value of 54.25°as the target value, the significance parameters were optimized, and the optimal combination was obtained : MM rolling friction factor was 0.21, MM static friction factor was 0.51, and JKR surface energy was 0.65. Finally, the angle of repose and SPP tests were compared under the calibrated parameters. The results showed that the relative error of experimental and simulated tests in angle of repose was 0.57%, and the compression displacement and compression ratio of the experimental and simulated tests in SPP were 1.01% and 0.95%, respectively, which improved the reliability of the simulated results. Most existing seismic data frequency enhancement methods have limitations. Given the advantages and disadvantages of these methods, this study attempts to apply deep learning technology to improve seismic data resolution. First, on the basis of the UNet deep learning method, which combines well-logging and seismic data, a synthetic seismic record is established with logging acoustic data and density, the borehole synthetic seismic record is labeled, and the borehole seismic trace data are taken as the input data. The training model of the borehole seismic trace data and the borehole synthetic seismic record is established to improve the medium- and high-frequency information in the seismic data. Second, the gate recurrent unit (GRU) is used to retain the low-frequency trend in the original seismic record, and the UNet and GRU results are combined to improve the medium- and high-frequency information while preserving the low-frequency information in the seismic data. Then, model training is performed, the model is applied to the three-dimensional seismic data volume for calculation, and the seismic data resolution is improved. The information extracted using our method is more abundant than that extracted using previous methods. The role of RNA N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification in the regulation of the immune microenvironment in ischaemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) remains largely unclear. This study first identified differential m6A regulators between ICM and healthy samples, and then systematically evaluated the effects of m6A modification on the characteristics of the immune microenvironment in ICM, including the infiltration of immune cells, the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) gene, and HALLMARKS pathways. A total of seven key m6A regulators, including WTAP, ZCH3H13, YTHDC1, FMR1, FTO, RBM15 and YTHDF3, were identified using a random forest classifier. A diagnostic nomogram based on these seven key m6A regulators could effectively distinguish patients with ICM from healthy subjects. We further identified two distinct m6A modification patterns (m6A cluster-A and m6A cluster-B) that are mediated by these seven regulators. Meanwhile, we also noted that one m6A regulator, WTAP, was gradually upregulated, while the others were gradually downregulated in the m6A cluster-A vs. m6A cluster-B vs. healthy subjects. In addition, we observed that the degree of infiltration of the activated dendritic cells, macrophages, natural killer (NK) T cells, and type-17 T helper (Th17) cells gradually increased in m6A cluster-A vs. m6A cluster-B vs. healthy subjects. Furthermore, m6A regulators, including FTO, YTHDC1, YTHDF3, FMR1, ZC3H13, and RBM15 were significantly negatively correlated with the above-mentioned immune cells. Additionally, several differential HLA genes and HALLMARKS signalling pathways between the m6A cluster-A and m6A cluster-B groups were also identified. These results suggest that m6A modification plays a key role in the complexity and diversity of the immune microenvironment in ICM, and seven key m6A regulators, including WTAP, ZCH3H13, YTHDC1, FMR1, FTO, RBM15, and YTHDF3, may be novel biomarkers for the accurate diagnosis of ICM. Objective: To describe the disease progression of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) in the pelvic and thigh muscles over 1-year using multiple-parameter quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (qMRI), and to determine the most responsive muscle and predict subclinical disease progression in functionally stable patients. Methods: Fifty-four DMD patients (mean age 8.9 ± 2.5, range 5–15 years) completed baseline and 1-year follow-up qMRI examinations/biomarkers [3-point Dixon/fat fraction (FF); T1 mapping/T1; T2 mapping/T2]. Meanwhile, clinical assessments [NorthStar ambulatory assessment (NSAA) score] and timed function tests were performed in DMD patients. Twenty-four healthy male controls (range 5–15 years) accomplished baseline qMRI examinations. Group differences were compared using the Wilcoxon test. The standardized response mean (SRM) was taken as the responsiveness to the disease progression index. Results: FF, T1, and T2 in all DMD age subgroups changed significantly over 1-year (P < 0.05). Even in functionally stable patients (NSAA score increased, unchanged, or decreased by 1-point) over 1-year, significant increases in FF and T2 and decreases in T1 were observed in gluteus maximus (GMa), gluteus medius, vastus lateralis, and adductor magnus (P < 0.05). Overall, the SRM of FF, T1, and T2 was all the highest in GMa, which were 1.25, − 0.92, and 0.93, respectively. Conclusions: qMRI biomarkers are responsive to disease progression and can also detect subclinical disease progression in functionally stable DMD patients over 1-year. GMa is the most responsive to disease progression of all the muscles analyzed. Sequential recommendation is a stream of studies on recommender systems, which focuses on predicting the next item a user interacts with by modeling the dynamic sequence of user-item interactions. Since being born to explore the dynamic tendency of variable-length temporal sequence, Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) have been paid much attention in this area. However, the inherent defects caused by the network structure of RNNs have limited their applications in sequential recommendation, which are mainly shown on two factors: RNNs tend to make point-wise predictions and ignore the collective dependencies because the temporal relationships between items change monotonically; RNNs are likely to forget the essential information during processing long sequences. To solve these problems, researchers have done much work to enhance the memory mechanism of RNNs. However, although previous RNN-based methods have achieved promising performance by taking advantage of external knowledge with other advanced techniques, the improvement of the intrinsic property of existing RNNs has not been explored, which is still challenging. Therefore, in this work, we propose a novel architecture based on Long Short-Term Memories (LSTMs), a broadly-used variant of RNNs, specific for sequential recommendation, called Long Short-Term enhanced Memory (LSTeM), which boosts the memory mechanism of original LSTMs in two ways. Firstly, we design a new structure of gates in LSTMs by introducing a "Q-K-V" triplet, a mechanism to accurately and properly model the correlation between the current item and the user's historical behaviors at each time step. Secondly, we propose a "recover gate" to remedy the inadequacy of memory caused by the forgetting mechanism, which works with a dynamic global memory embedding. The transient response of the lateral photovoltaic effect (LPE) was observed when Ti–SiO2–Si structure was irradiated by a 650 nm laser which is attributed to the remarkable absorptivity. LPE is linearly dependent on the laser irradiation position. The LPE has high sensitivity of 68.4 mV/mm and linearity of 0.9853, respectively. This paper focuses on the transient response process of LPE at different laser irradiation positions. The mechanism of the response time of the MOS structure is caused by the diffusion of electrons to the positive and negative electrodes. We experimentally verified this mechanism by laser irradiation on different positions. The principle of transient LPE is revealed by carrier diffusion and recombination theory. LPE has faster response time and larger amplitude when the laser irradiation points are close to electrodes. A resistor–capacitor (RC) circuit model combines with LPE which is established to simulate and analyze the transient process. The research provides a new direction for LPE-based sensors with regard to the amplitude and response time which change with laser irradiation position in Ti–SiO2–Si structure for researchers to develop position-sensitive sensors. Our country has a vast territory, and rail transit is very important to the development of our country's national economy. In this paper, key technologies for a digital twin-based shop floor management and control system are investigated, and the concept is designed and implemented. By adding a digital twin between the business management layer and the production execution layer of the traditional workshop management and control system through the fuzzy rule neural network, a new workshop management and control system architecture on the basis of the virtual is formed, enabling intellectual management and control of the workshop. The results of the study found that the integration of the digital twin into the conventional shop floor management and control system led to changes in the composition, processes and information integration of the management and support system. For the purpose of comparing the system scheduling of the high-speed railway on the basis of the vague rule neural network with the traditional method, we made statistics on the system scheduling before and after the transformation. Acute Stanford type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) with sudden onset and high mortality requiries a standard Bentall operation and a accurate prognosis in common, together with alteration of CO2 combining power (CO2CP) and serum sodium rase concern, hence, we evaluated the prognostic value of CO2CP combined with serum sodium in ATAAD patients. This retrospective study included 183 patients who underwent Bentall operation for ATAAD from 2015 to 2021 in the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University, subsequently followed grouping by the levels of CO2CP and serum sodium. The study endpoint was 30-day all-cause mortality, and the prognostic value of CO2CP combined with serum sodium levels in ATAAD patients were evaluated with multivariate logistic regression method. The postoperative incidence of in-hospital death and adverse events in patients with ATAAD were 18% and 25.7%, respectively. Combination of CO2CP and serum sodium for predicting ATAAD death and adverse events presented a higher predictive value than each single indicator with ROC curve analysis (the AUC of CO2CP combined with serum sodium was 0.786, 95% CI 0.706–0.869, P < 0.001), along with CO2CP < 22.5 mmol/L + serum sodium > 138.5 mmol/L group had the worst prognostic. Multivariate regression analyse showed that CO2CP < 22.5 mmol/L combined with serum sodium > 138.5 mmol/L preferably predicted the prognosis of ATAAD (OR =6.073, 95% CI 2.557–14.425, P < 0.001). Consistently, the cumulative 30-day survival after surgery in ATAAD patients with the low CO2CP and high serum sodium simultaneously was the worst (log-rank P < 0.05). A short-term in situ 15 N labeling experiment was conducted to investigate whether the N uptake and preference for different forms of available soil N for dominant plant species and soil microorganisms relate to the plant community productivity change at the no degradation stage, early stage of degradation, and late stage of degradation in an alpine meadow on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. At the early stage of degradation in the alpine meadow, aboveground net primary productivity decreased, while belowground net primary productivity increased. As a result, the total net primary productivity was unchanged at the early stage of degradation. Both aboveground and belowground net primary productivity significantly decreased at the late stage of degradation compared with the non-degraded meadows. Plants and microorganisms mainly absorbed inorganic N and preferred NH4+ at the non-degraded meadows where available soil N (the total concentration of exchangeable NH4+, NO3−, and dissolved organic N) was maintained at a high level of 60.9 μg N g−1 dry soil, indicating an N-use chemical niche overlap. Plants and microorganisms showed a niche differentiation at the early stage of degradation where available soil N decreased to a medium level of 44.6 μg N g−1 dry soil; plants preferred NO3−, while microorganisms took up more NH4+. In contrast, microorganisms increased their uptake of organic N, while plants assimilated more inorganic N, indicating that plants and microorganisms showed a niche differentiation where available soil N decreased to a low level of 26.6 μg N g−1 dry soil at the late stage of degradation. The higher N uptake (30% increase of N uptake compared with non-degraded meadows) of dominant plant species and niche differentiation in using available soil N between plants and microorganisms are two mechanisms maintaining the total community net primary productivity, even when available soil N decreased at the early stage of degradation. Plants and microorganisms also showed a niche differentiation when available N declined further at the late stage of degradation. However, the N uptake by dominant plant species greatly declined at the late stage of degradation (76% reduction of N uptake compared with non-degraded meadows), which might explain the community net primary productivity reduction (78% lower compared with non-degraded meadows). Next-generation sequencing enables the evaluation of gene expression changes resulting from virus–host interactions at the RNA level. Pseudorabies virus (PRV) causes substantial economic loss in the swine industry. Recent research has revealed that PRV can be transmitted to and infect humans as well. To identify physiopathological and pathological responses post-PRV infection, we characterized transcriptomic changes in the murine RAW 264.7 cell line over the course of 36 h. In total, 156, 153, and 190 differentially expressed genes were identified at 2 h, 12 h, and 36 h, respectively. Seven differentially expressed genes (Trim27, Ccdc117, Mrps12, Ccl4, Cerkl, Ubald1, and Hmga1-rs1) were present across all treatment groups. Our findings expand our knowledge of gene regulation and immune response following PRV infection. These differentially expressed genes can subsequently improve our understanding of PRV pathogenesis. Acoustic velocity varies in deep-water environments. To obtain accurate inversion interpretations, it is necessary to develop a horizontally layered seawater—seabed (HLSS) model with continuously varying velocities. In this work, we used an HLSS model based on wave theory to deduce the Scholte wave dispersion equations and established an HLSS model based on the acoustic velocity profile and the submarine medium parameters of the South China Sea. We studied the dispersion characteristics of Scholte waves and theoretically calculated the amplitude—depth distribution. We also examined the influence of deep-water environments on the dispersion characteristics of Scholte waves. Using the real geological parameters of the Dongsha Islands in the South China Sea, we exploited the spectral element method to simulate seismic wave propagation in the fluid—solid interface and extracted the Scholte wave dispersion curves using multichannel analysis of surface waves (MASW). The consistent theoretical and extracted dispersion curve results verified the accuracy of our method. Numerical experiments showed that the dispersion characteristics of Scholte waves in deep water are weaker than those in shallow water. The Xiaoxi’nancha porphyry Au-Cu deposit is located in Yanbian, Jilin Province, NE China. Gold-Cu mineralization is mainly associated with chlorite-sericite alteration. The 40Ar/39Ar age of pre-mineralization hydrothermal biotite in potassic alteration defines a relatively well-defined cluster at ~ 111 Ma to 114 Ma with a total fusion age of 112.0 ± 0.3 Ma. In-situ secondary-ion mass spectrometry U-Pb dating of hydrothermal titanite occurring with chalcopyrite yielded an intercept age of 109.0 ± 2.4 Ma. The similarity between the biotite and titanite formation ages suggests a mineralization age of ~ 110 Ma. Chlorite, quartz and apatite coexist in equilibrium and are closely related to mineralization. The Al-in-chlorite geothermometer indicates a formation temperature of 236–351℃ (mean 309℃), and the quartz-apatite pair yielded an average formation temperature of 306℃. The in-situ δ34S compositions of sulfide have restricted and slightly positive values (pyrite 2.3 to 3.9‰, chalcopyrite 1.6 to 3.8‰ and molybdenite 2.3 to 3.7‰). The fluid δ18O values, calculated assuming quartz-fluid equilibrium, vary from 2.4 to 5.5‰ (average = 4.0‰). Therefore, the ore-forming hydrothermal fluids were of moderate-temperature with predominantly magmatic characteristics. Apatite exhibits distinct variations in structure and composition, and slight variations in oxygen isotopic composition. The areas in apatite with dark BSE textures are characterized by lower δ18O values, Cl contents and temperatures and higher F contents, consistent with the result of water–rock interaction rather than mixing with meteoric water. The water–rock interaction and its resulting cooling, can reduce the metal solubility, likely triggering mineralization at Xiaoxi’nancha. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We present the results of seismic profiling aimed to characterize the structure of shallow formation in the Geoncheon Valley (GCV), an area we interpreted as the north tip of the Miryang Fault This profile was deployed in the GCV, near the City of Gyeongju, Republic of Korea. The Miryang Fault is one of the major faults of the Yangsan Fault System in the Cretaceous Gyeongsang Basin, the southeastern Korean Peninsula. Despite local earthquake records showing scattered micro-seismicity along the trace of Miryang Fault, other geophysical and geological information is rare. The location of the GCV is tectonically critical: it is on the major stratigraphic boundary in the Cretaceous Gyeongsang Basin: the Hayang Group (dominantly sedimentary rocks) to the north and Yucheon Group (volcanic and volcanoclastic rocks) to the south. The surface expression of the Miryang Fault in this area is difficult to define by geomorphology since the surface is covered by highly altered cultivated farmlands. We tackle this problem by conducting seismic profiling. On a 1,200-m long linear profile, we deployed a dense array using 3-component seismic sensors and acquired both passive and active seismic data. The passive seismic data acquisition lasted about 12 days. At the end of the deployment period directly before withdrawing the array, an active survey using a sledgehammer source was also conducted. The integrated seismic cross-section displays significant segmentation in the texture of the seismic image, the sediment-bedrock interface is between less than 10 meters to slightly greater than 20 meters with a general trend of dipping to the southeast. The preliminary seismic results suggest that it is likely the Miryang Fault terminates inside the GCV, and the type of tip damage zone appears to be a group of horsetail splays. Step error is the machining error between adjacent cutter location points in the feeding direction. In order to improve the computational efficiency, a hybrid particle swarm optimization method (HPSO) combining genetic algorithm (GA) and simulated annealing (SA) algorithm is proposed. The mapping relationship between local cutter contact (CC) curve in step error calculation and the particle search range and the fitness calculation model are established. The maximum fitness value is taken as step error. The chaotic initialization population is carried out by the Tent mapping. Two nonlinear control methods based on the Sigmoid function and the numbers of iterations are proposed for inertia weight and learning factors, respectively. Combined with the above optimizations, an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (IPSO) is proposed algorithm is formed. Based on IPSO, the crossover and mutation strategies of GA are used to increase particle diversity, and then, Metropolis criterion from SA is applied to the particle selection; the improved crossover and mutation particle swarm optimization algorithm (ICMPSO) is formed. IPSO is used for Elite particles with higher fitness values to enhance the convergence speed. The other Ordinary particles employ ICMPSO to improve global search capability. The combination of IPSO and ICMPSO forms a whole hybrid particle swarm optimization (HPSO) method. All the proposed algorithms are implemented, and two typical free-form surfaces are taken as examples to calculate step errors. The calculation results show that the tool path generation time of the proposed method is lower than that of the geometric iterative algorithm and the standard particle swarm optimization algorithm, which verifies the feasibility and effectiveness. The existing comparative studies of intact rock failure criteria do not typically consider the tensile stress zone and failure angle prediction. A new comparative study of nine intact rock strength criteria worth to list them here was performed under the framework of analytical geometry, with respect to their geometric characteristics in different cutting planes of the failure envelopes in three-dimensional space as well as predictive capacities for strength and failure angle. For this purpose, a universal failure angle formula was derived as a guideline to deduce the specific expression for each criterion. The σ1–σ3 cutting plane displays two categories of the intact rock failure criteria: overlapping and separate compressive and tensile meridian boundaries. Experimental strength data and failure angle observation of two sandstones under complex compressive stress conditions highlight the failure criteria of Mogi-1967, Mogi-1971, nonlinear unified and Hoek–Brown in terms of strength and failure angle prediction. It is probably the first of its kind to date to evaluate different intact rock failure criteria by relating the failure angle and strength. This innovative comparative work enlightens the future advancement of the intact rock failure criterion with the consideration of the tensile stress zone and failure angle observation. Engineering properties are of great importance for Cassia tora L. seeds in aspects of harvesting, handling mechanical design and product processing. The effect of moisture content (7, 10, 13, 16 and 19%) (wet basis) on the properties: physical (length, width, bulk and true density, porosity, thousand seeds mass, coefficient of static friction and angle of repose), mechanical (hardness, fragmentation energy and failure deformations), and thermal (specific heat, thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity), were systematically studied. As the moisture contents increase from 7 to 19%, the length (L) increased from 4.52 to 5.87 mm, the thickness (T) from 2.51 to 3.21 mm and the width (W) from 2.36 to 3.02 mm, respectively. The bulk and true density of Cassia tora L. seeds decreased from 775.83 to 654.17 kg/m3 and from 1295.21 to 1154.72 kg/m3, respectively, with the moisture content raised from 7 to 19%. The thermal conductivity of Cassia tora L. seeds meal was found to be 0.068–0.098 W m−1 K−1, 0.078–0.112 W m−1 K−1, 0.089–0.125 W m−1 K−1, 0.098–0.136 W m−1 K−1, 0.108–0.148 W m−1 K−1, 0.119–0.159 W m−1 K−1, respectively, at 25 °C, 45 °C, 65 °C, 85 °C, 105 °C and 125 °C in moisture ranges of 7–19%. The thermal diffusivity was found to decrease from 5.21 × 10–8 to 4.53 × 10–8 m2/s, from 5.75 × 10–8 to 4.91 × 10–8 m2/s, from 6.11 × 10–8 to 5.17 × 10–8 m2/s, from 6.52 × 10–8 to 5.36 × 10–8 m2/s, from 7.17 × 10–8 to 5.77 × 10–8 m2/s, from 7.36 × 10–8 to 5.84 × 10–8 m2/s, respectively, at 25 °C, 45 °C, 65 °C, 85 °C, 105 °C and 125 °C in moisture ranges of 7–19%. The results suggested that physical properties exhibited linear relationships with moisture content using the regression model, while mechanical properties showed a second-order polynomial relationship with moisture content. Furthermore, significant variation existed in thermal properties because of differentiate moisture content and temperature. Increasingly, evidence implicates an important role of neuroinflammation in neurodegeneration progression. Yet, brain imaging has not reached a consistent conclusion that neuroinflammation is involved in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease (PD). We aimed to review the evidence to quantitatively assess the existence and spatial distribution of neuroinflammation in the brain of PD patients. We systematically searched literature databases for case–control studies which used positron emission tomography to detect neuroinflammation represented by translocator protein (TSPO) levels in PD patients compared with healthy controls (HC). Standardized mean differences (SMD) were selected as effect sizes and random-effects models were used to combine effect sizes. Subgroup analyses for separate brain regions were conducted. Fifteen studies comprising 455 (HC = 198, PD = 238) participants and 19 brain regions were included. Compared to HC, PD patients had elevated TSPO levels in midbrain, putamen, anterior cingulate, posterior cingulate, thalamus, striatum, frontal, temporal, parietal, occipital, cortex, hippocampus, substantia nigra, pons, cerebellum, and caudate when using 1st-generation ligands. TSPO levels were elevated in the midbrain of PD patients when 2nd-generation ligands were used. We discussed the possible explanations of contrasting difference between these outcomes. Paeoniflorin (PF) has numerous benefits, including anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptosis effects. However, it is not clear if it has neuroprotective effects against cognitive impairment (CI) in Parkinson's disease (PD). Through network pharmacology, we identified probable targets as well as signal pathways through which PF might affect CI in PD. Then, we experimentally validated our findings. The core genes of the protein-protein interactions (PPI) network include MAPK8 (JNK), TP53, CASP3 (caspase-3), postsynaptic density protein-95 (PSD-95) and synaptophysin (SYN). Pathway enrichment analysis revealed that genes involved in apoptosis and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling were significantly enriched. Because JNK is a key mediator of p53-induced apoptosis, we wondered if JNK/p53 pathway influences the effects of PF against apoptosis in mouse model of PD. Molecular docking analysis showed that PF had good affinity for JNK/p53. The results of the experiments indicated that PF ameliorated behavioral impairments and upregulated the expression of the dopamine (DA) neurons, suppressed cell apoptosis in substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc) of PD. Additionally, PF improved 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced neuronal injury by inhibiting apoptosis in hippocampal neurons of the CA1 and CA3, and upregulating PSD-95 as well as SYN protein levels. Clenbuterol is a β-adrenergic receptor agonist that can be used as a bronchodilator for the treatment of respiratory diseases or as an additive feed in livestock to improve conversion rate of lean meat. However, the residue of clenbuterol in food can be a threat to human health. Therefore, it is important to monitor clenbuterol in foods. In this paper, a fluorescence inner filtration immunoassay (FIFI) method for the detection of clenbuterol was developed based on the principle of immunoreactive competitive method and the theory of fluorescence quenching, which was constructed from a fluorescence-quenching detection system and a separation system of magnetic immunization. In the magnetic immunization separation system, the detection antigen competes with the biotin-labeled antigen for binding to colloidal gold-labeled clenbuterol antibody and the immunocomplex is enriched by streptavidin- and biotin-specific reactions on the surface of magnetic beads. The remaining complex as a fluorescence quencher in the detection system after centrifugation, and rhodamine 6G acts as a fluorescence agent. The quantitative detection of clenbuterol was accomplished by achieving fluorescence quenching under excitation light irradiation. The standard solutions of clenbuterol in the range of 0.03–5.0 ng/mL exhibited good correlation (r = 0.9996) with the fluorescence intensity, with limit of detection 0.01 ng/mL and recoveries ranging from 98.1 to 101.2%. Moreover, there was no significant difference between the results obtained after testing valid samples by FIFI and ELISA. The permeability of shale reservoirs is an important parameter in evaluating the feasibility of shale gas commercial exploitation. The influence of structural anisotropy, bedding planes, and effective stress is of great significance to the permeability of shale reservoirs; thus, a further study on the permeability of shale rock containing bedding planes and fractures is necessary. In this paper, to investigate the gas conductivity of shale rock in different bedding directions and fracture surfaces, permeability tests were conducted on the intact specimens with different bedding inclinations and specimens containing fractures of Longmaxi shale. The pulse decay method is adopted in the determination of the intact shale specimen, and the steady-state method is adopted to measure the permeability of fractured shale specimen. Combined with experiments and theoretical analysis, the anisotropic characteristics of the permeability of intact shale specimens and the permeability of fractured specimens under the applying of effective stress are studied. The permeability of the two kinds of shale specimens decreased exponentially with the increase in effective stress. The main controlling factors on permeability were studied, besides, the flow characteristic of fluid inside the rock with bedding plane or sandwich structures were described. Furthermore, a new model was proposed to describe the anisotropy of rock permeability characteristics. As for shale specimen contains fracture, the function between its equivalent permeability and fracture permeability was derived, as well as the function between equivalent permeability and effective stress, and the function between fracture permeability and effective stress. Purpose: Data on posterior circulation tandem occlusions in acute ischemic stroke are scarce: recognition may be challenging and little is known about optimal treatment strategy. We report our endovascular treatment strategy for posterior circulation tandem occlusion. Methods: Consecutive patients with posterior circulation tandem occlusions in our centre were enrolled retrospectively. The preferred strategy was "distal-to-proximal" strategy, which means opening the distal occlusion first followed by treatment of the proximal pathology. The imaging characteristics, treatment strategy, clinical outcomes, and complications of patients with posterior circulation tandem occlusions were analyzed. Results: In total, 21 patients with posterior circulation tandem occlusions were enrolled in the study, which accounted for 23.6% of patients with posterior circulation stroke in our centre. The mean age was 60 years (range 32 to 80), and median pre-procedure NIHSS score was 28 (interquartile range: 13–31). Eighteen patients (85.7%) had vertebrobasilar artery tandem occlusions and 3 (14.3%) had basilar artery to basilar artery tandem occlusions. All distal occlusions were successfully recanalized (modified TICI 2b/3). Two (9.5%) of the proximal lesions were not treated. A total of 57.1% of the patients had stents implanted on the proximal occlusions. The rate of mRS 0–3 at 3 months was 57.1% and the mortality rate was 19.0%. Conclusion: In patients with acute ischaemic stroke caused by posterior circulation tandem occlusions, we favor "distal-to-proximal" strategy based on the positive results in this small series. Background: Observational studies suggest that physical activity (PA) can independently modify the risk of developing multiple sclerosis (MS). Objective: To investigate the causal effect of PA on MS by Mendelian randomization (MR) approaches. Methods: Through a genome-wide association study including 91,105 participants from UK Biobank, we obtained 5 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with accelerometer-measured PA (P < 5 × 10−8). Summary-level data for MS were obtained from a meta-analysis, incorporating 14,802 subjects with MS and 26,703 healthy controls of European ancestry. MR analyses were performed using the inverse-variance-weighted method, weighted median estimator, and MR-PRESSO method. Additional analyses were further performed using MR-Egger intercept and Cochran's Q statistic to verify the robustness of our findings. Results: We failed to detect a causal effect of PA on MS (OR, 0.60; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.30–1.20; P = 0.15) per in the random-effects IVW analysis. Additional MR methods yielded consistent results. MR-Egger regression suggested no evidence of horizontal pleiotropy (Intercept = 0.14, P = 0.21) and there seemed no substantial heterogeneity (I2 = 29.8%, P = 0.22) among individual SNPs. Finding effective and objective biomarkers to inform the diagnosis of schizophrenia is of great importance yet remains challenging. Relatively little work has been conducted on multi-biological data for the diagnosis of schizophrenia. In this cross-sectional study, we extracted multiple features from three types of biological data, including gut microbiota data, blood data, and electroencephalogram data. Then, an integrated framework of machine learning consisting of five classifiers, three feature selection algorithms, and four cross validation methods was used to discriminate patients with schizophrenia from healthy controls. Our results show that the support vector machine classifier without feature selection using the input features of multi-biological data achieved the best performance, with an accuracy of 91.7% and an AUC of 96.5% (p < 0.05). These results indicate that multi-biological data showed better discriminative capacity for patients with schizophrenia than single biological data. The top 5% discriminative features selected from the optimal model include the gut microbiota features (Lactobacillus, Haemophilus, and Prevotella), the blood features (superoxide dismutase level, monocyte-lymphocyte ratio, and neutrophil count), and the electroencephalogram features (nodal local efficiency, nodal efficiency, and nodal shortest path length in the temporal and frontal-parietal brain areas). The proposed integrated framework may be helpful for understanding the pathophysiology of schizophrenia and developing biomarkers for schizophrenia using multi-biological data. With the rapid development of optoelectronic fibers of multi-materials and structures, coupling between the optoelectronic fibers and the conventional optical fibers with high transmission is desirable. In this article, we propose a mode coupler to facilitate the transmission of electromagnetic wave from a dielectric fiber to a simple metal-core optoelectronic fiber in the terahertz regime. The coupler mainly consists of an air cone along its symmetric axis. The transmission characteristics of the terahertz wave of the frequency ranging from 2 to 8 THz for five hybrid modes are investigated using finite difference time domain method. This investigation seeks to dissect coronary artery disease molecular target candidates along with its underlying molecular mechanisms. Data on patients with CAD across three separate array data sets, GSE66360, GSE19339 and GSE97320 were extracted. The gene expression profiles were obtained by normalizing and removing the differences between the three data sets, and important modules linked to coronary heart disease were identified using weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA). Gene Ontology (GO) functional and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analyses were applied in order to identify statistically significant genetic modules with the Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID) online tool (version 6.8; http://david.abcc.ncifcrf.gov). The online STRING tool was used to construct a protein–protein interaction (PPI) network, followed by the use of Molecular Complex Detection (MCODE) plug-ins in Cytoscape software to identify hub genes. Two significant modules (green-yellow and magenta) were identified in the CAD samples. Genes in the magenta module were noted to be involved in inflammatory and immune-related pathways, based on GO and KEGG enrichment analyses. After the MCODE analysis, two different MCODE complexes were identified in the magenta module, and four hub genes (ITGAM, degree = 39; CAMP, degree = 37; TYROBP, degree = 28; ICAM1, degree = 18) were uncovered to be critical players in mediating CAD. Independent verification data as well as our RT-qPCR results were highly consistent with the above finding. ITGAM, CAMP, TYROBP and ICAM1 are potential targets in CAD. In light of the ability to enable efficient storage and fast query for big data, hashing techniques for cross-modal search have aroused extensive attention. Despite the great success achieved, unsupervised cross-modal hashing still suffers from lacking reliable similarity supervision and struggles with handling the heterogeneity issue between different modalities. To cope with these, in this paper, we devise a new deep hashing model, termed as High-order Nonlocal Hashing (HNH) to facilitate cross-modal retrieval with the following advantages. First, different from existing methods that mainly leverage low-level local-view similarity as the guidance for hashing learning, we propose a high-order affinity measure that considers the multi-modal neighbourhood structures from a nonlocal perspective, thereby comprehensively capturing the similarity relationships between data items. Second, a common representation is introduced to correlate different modalities. By enforcing the modal-specific descriptors and the common representation to be aligned with each other, the proposed HNH significantly bridges the modality gap and maintains the intra-consistency. Third, an effective affinity preserving objective function is delicately designed to generate high-quality binary codes. Objectives: To investigate the feasibility of an endoscopic surgical approach through the neck to the jugular foramen, to determine the relevant techniques and extent of exposure, and to provide a new surgical approach with minimal trauma. Methods: Nine cadaveric head specimens with attached necks were fixed with 10% formalin solution. Two of the heads were fixed and injected with colored silicone rubber. Through the dissection of these cadaver head and neck specimens, we designed a surgical approach from the neck to the jugular foramen area with the use of a neuroendoscope and performed simulated surgery to determine which anatomical structures were encountered in the approach. Results: The posterior aspect of the internal jugular vein is adjacent to the rectus capitis lateralis. The internal carotid artery is anteromedial to the internal jugular vein, with the glossopharyngeal nerve, accessory nerve, vagus nerve and hypoglossal nerve in between. Removal of the rectus capitis lateralis can reveal the jugular process, and exposing the space between the superior oblique muscle and the jugular process can reveal the atlanto-occipital joint. Drilling through the occipital condyle can facilitate entrance into the skull, expose the flank of the medulla oblongata, and reveal the medullary olive and accessory nerve, vagus nerve, hypoglossal nerve, vertebral artery and posterior inferior cerebellar artery. Removing the jugular vein and completely opening the posterior wall of the jugular foramen can expose the inferior wall of the jugular bulb and the inferior wall of the sigmoid sinus. Drilling through the styloid process, which is lateral to the internal jugular vein, can expose the lateral area and upper wall of the jugular bulb and cranial nerves (CN) IX–XII; and near the top of the jugular bulb, the tympanic cavity and the external auditory canal can be easily opened. Conclusion: Endoscopic surgical access from the neck to the jugular foramen is feasible. This surgical approach can simultaneously remove intracranial and extracranial tumors and can also be used to remove tumors in the ventral region of the occipital foramen and the hypoglossal canal. Furthermore, this approach is advantageous in that minimal trauma is inflicted. With judicious patient selection, this approach may have significant advantages and may be used as a primary or secondary surgical approach in the future. Nonetheless, this approach is still in development in a laboratory setting, and further research and improvements are needed before facing more complicated situations in clinical practice. Purpose: The regulatory T cells (Tregs) are a subpopulation of lymphocytes that suppress the immune responses. The prognostic value of Tregs in lymphoma patients remains controversial. Thus, we conducted this meta-analysis to clarify the role of Tregs in the prognosis of lymphoma patients. Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science to obtain eligible studies that evaluated the prognostic factor of Tregs for lymphoma patients. Hazards ratios (HRs) with the matching 95% confidence intervals (95%CIs) were merged to estimate the prognostic value of Tregs. Results: We finally retrieved 23 eligible studies, including a total of 2269 patients. The overall pooled analysis on all types of lymphomas showed that Tregs had a significantly positive association with prolonged overall survival (OS) (HR = 0.633, 95% CI 0.528–0.758) and progression-free survival (PFS) (HR = 0.451, 95% CI 0.261–0.779). Subgroup analysis indicated that high Tregs were significantly correlated with longer OS in Hodgkin lymphoma, diffuse large B cell lymphoma, and natural killer/T cell lymphoma. However, there was no significant association of Tregs with T cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma. Conclusions: Increased Tregs indicates a better prognosis for patients with lymphoma. Electrical resistivity imaging can reveal the spatial information of subsurface geological structures, especially active faults and bedrock. In this study, we introduced an improved super-high-density resistivity method, based on network parallel technique with an exploration mode similar to seismic method. The proposed technique simplifies the conventional electrical arrays, e.g., Dipole-Dipole and Wenner-Schlumberger arrays into AM and ABM arrays and enhances the data acquisition efficiency. A comparison between the two arrays and conventional ones revealed that AM and ABM array data can be transformed into all kinds of existing electrical arrays. We performed six 2D electrical resistivity surveys on a construction site at Yantai (Shandong Province, Eastern China) with AM and ABM array of 5-m electrode spacing to produce a ~ 2.5-m spatial resolution. For the inversion routine, the least squares method was used to obtain the subsurface electrical structures for objective interpretation. Consequently, a set of electrical anomalies associated with the active faults and bedrock interface were identified with four resistivity tomographic profiles. In these resistivity profiles, the electrical anomalies show good correlations with the drilling results. Therefore, the super-high-density electrical resistivity method is useful for quick evaluation of subsurface geological structures in an urbanized area and provides more precise and faster data acquisition than conventional techniques. Social interactions with heterospecifics can yield important insights into the flexibility of behaviour and the role of learning in communication. Recently, the honeybee dance, a unique symbolic communication system to communicate positions in space, has been shown to involve learning. We asked if this communication system could potentially be learned by members of a species not normally using this communication system, the bumblebee(Bombus terrestris)—indicating that learning might have been at the origins of dance communication. We used mixed-species colonies of bumblebees and honeybees (Apis millefera) to investigate how the readiness to first establish contact with dancers might develop in uninformed bumblebee foragers. Over a month of observations, we recorded and classified a series of behavioural patterns in newly emerged honeybees introduced into queenright bumblebee colonies. A small subset of the introduced honeybees was able to establish in the nests and displayed their typical behavioural patterns, including homing, dance communication, trophallaxis, and social grooming. Remarkably, grooming and trophallaxis were also displayed to heterospecifics, and bumblebees accepted both, including food offered through trophallaxis, even though this behaviour is not normally used by bumblebees. However, bumblebees never attended honeybees’ waggle dances. Background: This study aimed to investigate the incidences of pre- and post-operative lower extremity deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in hospitalized patients with intertrochanteric fractures and to analyze the relevant risk factors. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted between July 2014 and October 2016 in 218 intertrochanteric fracture patients who presented at Xi'an Honghui Hospital and underwent Doppler ultrasonography for DVT diagnosis. We divided DVT into distal, proximal, and mixed thrombosis. Patients were divided into either the thrombosis or no thrombosis group according to preoperative and postoperative ultrasonography results. All patients were evaluated for the risk factors associated with thrombosis. Results: A total of 37.61% of preoperative patients had DVT, and the postoperative incidence increased to 58.72%. The days between fracture and hospitalization and the days between fracture and surgery were independent risk factors for preoperative DVT. The days between fracture and hospitalization and d-dimer levels at postoperative 1 day were independent risk factors of postoperative DVT. In total 23.4% of the patients progressed from having no thrombosis preoperatively to having distal, proximal, or mixed DVT postoperatively (22.02%, 0.46%, and 0.92%, respectively). Distal DVT constituted 86.59% and 90.63% of all preoperative and postoperative DVTs, respectively. Conclusion: Intertrochanteric fracture is a common type of hip fracture in the elderly, and the incidence of DVT after intertrochanteric fracture may be underestimated. The oriental fruit moth (OFM), Cydia (= Grapholitha) molesta, is a highly damaging pest; peaches are its primary host, and pears serve as post-peach secondary hosts during the late season in China. We collected volatiles from detached peach shoots and fruits, and identified them with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Antennally active compounds were identified by gas chromatography-electroantennogram detection (GC-EAD), and these were further tested in the laboratory and field. We detected consistent electroantennographic activity was for ten compounds. Significantly more C. molesta females were caught with a mixture of female EAD-active compounds identified from the detached matured peach fruits (nonanal, butyl acetate, 3-methylbutyl acetate, hexyl acetate, (Z)-3-hexenyl acetate, linalool and farnesene) than other mixtures mimicking the volatile profile from detached matured fruits or shoots. We identified a new GC-EAD active mixture from intact peach shoots composed of nonanal, (Z)-3-hexenyl acetate, (E)-β-ocimene, and 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one. In the field test, the background odour of orchards could affect trap catches, and two peach-derived blends together with two previously known pear-derived blends were proven to be able to monitor the seasonal OFM population dispersal in adjacent orchards. This research aimed to assess the associations of 7 parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase (PRKN) and 4 parkin coregulated gene (PACRG) single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), their haplotypes, gene–gene (G × G) and gene-environment (G × E) interactions with hyperlipidaemia in the Chinese Maonan minority. The genotypes of the 11 SNPs in 912 normal and 736 hyperlipidaemic subjects were detected with next-generation sequencing technology. The genotypic and allelic frequencies of the rs1105056, rs10755582, rs2155510, rs9365344, rs11966842, rs6904305 and rs11966948 SNPs were different between the normal and hyperlipidaemic groups (P < 0.05–0.001). Correlations between the above 7 SNPs and blood lipid levels were also observed (P < 0.0045–0.001, P < 0.0045 was considered statistically significant after Bonferroni correction). Strong linkage disequilibrium was found among the 11 SNPs (r2 = 0.01–0.64). The most common haplotypes were PRKN C-G-T-G-T-T-C (> 15%) and PACRG A-T-A-T (> 40%). The PRKN C-G-C-A-T-T-C and PRKN–PACRG C-G-T-G-T-T-C-A-T-A-T haplotypes were associated with an increased risk of hyperlipidaemia, whereas the PRKN–PACRG C-G-T-G-C-T-C-A-T-C-T and C-G-T-G-T-T-C-A-T-C-T haplotypes provided a protective effect. Association analysis based on the haplotypes and G × G interaction could improve the power to detect the risk of hyperlipidaemia over the analysis of any one SNP alone. Interrupted tensile tests were conducted on FSWed AZ31 Mg alloy to reveal the non-uniform tensile deformation and underlying deformation mechanisms along welding joint. During tensile test, plastic deformation is inhomogeneous along tensile sample. Tensile deformation concentrates at the welding joint, especially at the intermediate zone between NZ and TMAZ. Depending on texture variation, different deformation mechanisms are concluded to be responsible for such inhomogeneous deformation. The activation stress of each deformation mechanism changes gradually from advancing side to retreating side. { 10 1 ¯ 2 } Twinning, prismatic slip and basal slip are the dominating deformation mechanisms in TMAZ, NZ and their intermediate zones, respectively. Thus, inhomogeneous deformation was found along the center line of welding joint, and producing different working hardening. It is verified through micro-hardness distribution along the center line where the intermediate zone has the highest micro-hardness improvement.
