This research investigated the impact of dietary beta-glucan-rich molasses yeast powder (MYP) supplementation on the antibody response to swine fever virus (Titer) and hematology of starter–grower pig. Sixteen cross pigs (30 kg body weight) were equally split into four groups; each group with four replicates and fed four dietary treatments that consisted of basal diets (control) and the basal diets added with 2.5, 5.0, and 7.5% MYP. Feed and water were consumed ad libitum for 44 days. Feed intake (FI), MYP intake (MYPI), beta-glucan intake (BGI), and Mannan-oligosaccharide intake (MOSI) were recorded daily. Titer was evaluated after 15 (Titer15) and 30 (Titer30) days after vaccination, while hematology was analyzed at the end of the experiment. The results indicated that it was unchangeable for ADFI (P > 0.05). No impacts were observed on hematological variables and Titer15 in MYP fed pigs (P > 0.05). However, supplementation with 7.5% MYP increased platelet count (PC) and Titer30 (P < 0.01), but decreased hematocrit (Hct) (P < 0.05). Titer 30 and titer 15 were linked to MYPI, BGI, and MOSI (P < 0.05). Based on the study, feeding starter–grower pigs diets supplemented with 7.5% MYP might enhance the antibody response to swine fever virus 30 days after vaccination, and it has a potential role in the application in prevention of swine fever virus disease. The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of curcumin with increased solubility (CS: 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8% of diet) and broiler sex (males and females) on plasma lipoprotein concentrations, meat quality, and chemical composition in the breast meat (BM). A total of 240 1-day-old Arbor Acres chicks were randomly divided into ten groups, six replicates of four chicks each, using a 5 × 2 factorial experiment. All chicks were fed diets and water ad libitum for a period of 6 weeks. Results showed that no any interactions were presented. Supplementation of CS reduced plasma total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and meat fat content, while had no significant differences between treatments in meat quality, triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and very low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C). The effects of cassava bioethanol by-product (CEP) and crude palm oil (CPO) on feed intake, nutrient digestibility, and growth performance of yearling heifers were investigated in a 150-day feeding trial. Eighteen, crossbred heifers (Brahman x Thai native) were randomly allotted according to 2 × 3 factorial arrangement. Low or high levels of CEP (15 or 30 % of concentrate, LCEP, or HCEP) were basal treatments and 0, 2, and 4 % CPO were daily top-dressed. Concentrate was supplemented at 1.75 % of body weight (BW) and rice straw offered ad libitum. CEP level had no significance on feed intake. CPO increased roughage intake, concentrate intake, and total feed intake when expressed as %BW/d ( P < 0.01) and as metabolic BW (kg/d, P < 0.05). Intakes of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), and crude protein (CP) were similar ( P > 0.05). Intake of fat increased with higher levels of CPO ( P < 0.001). The DM, OM, CP, and EE digestibility of cattle-fed HCEP was lower than LCEP, but adding 4 % CPO increased digestibility. Growth performance was similar for all diets ( P > 0.05). This experiment was conducted to determine the effects of cassava bioethanol by-product (CEP) and crude palm oil (CPO) on the carcass characteristics and meat quality of yearling heifer cattle. Eighteen crossbred Brahman × Thai heifers were randomly allotted to 2 × 3 factorial arrangement consisting of two levels of CEP (15 or 30 %, LCEP or HCEP) and 3 levels of CPO (0, 2, and 4 %). The results obtained showed that lean meat was greater ( P < 0.05) in HCEP-fed cattle, but bone percentage and lean/bone ratio were less ( P < 0.05) than LCEP-fed cattle. Carcass fat ( P < 0.05) and fat content ( P < 0.01) were significantly increased with levels of dietary CPO. Diets with 4 % CPO supplementation had better effects on redness (a*, P < 0.01) and chroma (C*, P < 0.001) values. In conclusion, up to 30 % CEP can be used to improve lean carcass and 4 % CPO can improve the redness of the meat. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
