In the applications of cloud storage, ensuring data's integrity is an important research problem and kinds of remote integrity auditing protocols have been proposed. A classical auditing method is checking the validity of returned proof from cloud service provider, which is calculated by aggregating designated data blocks and their tags. In order to obtain lower storage redundancy and communication overhead, Yang et al. recently designed a compressive integrity auditing technique for secure cloud storage, in which only tags are needed to be stored on cloud. Inspired by Yang et al.'s compressive scheme, in this paper, we introduce a general construction of compressive integrity auditing protocol from strong homomorphic encryption scheme, which greatly enriches the implementations of compressive integrity auditing schemes. Moreover, our general construction can be twisted for some special applications. In particular, if the original data owner only wants to outsource its auditing process to designated verifier instead of any third party auditor, then our twisted construction becomes a framework of implementing compressive integrity auditing protocols with designated verifier. Finally, in order to show the power of our general construction, we give a concrete instantiation and compare its performance with two related works, which shows that our proposed scheme is very competitive and thus can be used in future applications of cloud storage. In this work we compare the predictions for the scattering length and effective range of the channels K 0 Σ + , K + Σ 0 , K + Λ and η p , assuming the N ∗ (1535) state as a molecular state of these channels, or an original genuine state, made for instance from three quarks. Looking at very different scenarios, what we conclude is that the predictions of these two pictures are drastically different, to the point that we advise the measurement of these magnitudes, accessible for instance by measuring correlation functions, in order to gain much valuable information concerning the nature of this state. Cervical cancer (CC), one of the most aggressive tumors in women, has high risk rates of recurrence and metastasis. It is essential to study the key genes and proteins involved in CC development. IRTKS, a member of the IRSp53 family, has been reported as a tumor promoter in gastric and breast cancers. However, the biological role of IRTKS in CC is still unclear. The purpose of this study was to explore the biological function of IRTKS in CC cells in vitro and the effect of IRTKS on tumorigenesis in vivo. Siha and Hela cells were treated with si-RNA and plasmids. Cell proliferation and growth were detected by CCK8, colony formation assay and nude mouse tumorigenicity assay, respectively. Transwell assay was used to analyze cell migration and invasion. The expression of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related proteins was determined by western blot. IRTKS was highly expressed in CC. IRTKS contributed to the proliferation of CC cells in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, IRTKS facilitated the migration and invasion of CC cells and modulated EMT. Purpose or Objective: Surfactants, including polysorbates and poloxamers, play a crucial role in the formulation of therapeutic proteins by acting as solubilizing and stabilizing agents. They help prevent protein aggregation and adsorption, thereby enhancing the stability of drug substance and products., However, it is important to note that utilizing high concentrations of surfactants in protein formulations can present significant analytical challenges, which can ultimately affect the product characterization. Methods: In our study, we specifically investigated the impact of elevated surfactant concentrations on the characterization of monoclonal antibodies. We employed various analytical techniques including size-exclusion chromatography (SEC), capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS), a cell based functional assay, and biophysical characterization. Results: The findings of our study indicate that higher levels of Polysorbate 80 (PS-80) have adverse effects on the measured purity, biological activity, and biophysical characterization of biologic samples. Specifically, the elevated levels of PS-80 cause analytical interferences, which can significantly impact the accuracy and reliability of analytical studies. Conclusions: Our study results highlight a significant risk in analytical investigations, especially in studies involving the isolation and characterization of impurities. It is important to be cautious of surfactant concentrations, as they can become more concentrated during common sample manipulations like buffer exchange. Indeed, the research presented in this work emphasizes the necessity to evaluate the impact on analytical assays when there are substantial alternations in the matrix composition. Lithium-ion batteries are important energy storage materials, and the prediction of their remaining useful life has practical importance. Since traditional feature extraction methods depend on parameter settings and have poor adaptability, singular value decomposition was used to extract 15 health indicators from the degradation data of lithium-ion batteries. To eliminate redundancy among the extracted health indicators, Spearman correlation analysis was subsequently used to determine the most appropriate health indicators. On this basis, the selected health indicators were processed by the denoising stack autoencoder, and a fusion health indicator was obtained. Finally, the support vector quantile regression model was used to predict the battery capacity interval by the fusion health indicator. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration battery dataset and Massachusetts Institute of Technology battery dataset were used to verify the validity and generalizability of our proposed model, and our proposed model was compared with the existing four classical prediction models. The experimental results showed that our proposed prediction model had higher prediction accuracy and better robustness than the other models and could effectively improve the prediction effect of the remaining useful life of batteries. The mean value of the root mean square error of the predicted results using our proposed model remained within 1.3%, and the mean value of the coefficient of determination was above 0.97. In this note we study the tensor and vector exchange contributions to the elastic reactions involving the pseudoscalars mesons π + π - , K + K - and D + D - . In the case of the tensor-exchange contributions we assume that an intermediate tensor f 2 (1270) is dynamically generated from the interaction of two virtual ρ mesons, with the use of a pole approximation. The calculation of the two-loop amplitude is facilitated since the triangle loops can be factorized and computed separately. The results show very small contributions coming from the tensor-exchange mechanisms when compared with those from the vector-exchange processes. We compare our results for π π and K K ¯ scattering with those obtained in other works where the f 2 (1270) is considered as an ordinary q q ¯ meson. Our picture provides a smaller contribution but of similar order of magnitude for pion scattering and stabilizes the results in the case of K K ¯ , allowing us to make estimates for D D ¯ scattering. The highly diverse microbial ecosystem of the human body colonizes the gastrointestinal tract has a profound impact on the host’s immune, metabolic, endocrine, and other physiological processes, which are all interconnected. Specifically, gut microbiota has been found to play a crucial role in facilitating the adaptation and initiation of immune regulatory response through the gastrointestinal tract affecting the other distal mucosal sites such as lungs. A tightly regulated lung-gut axis during respiratory ailments may influence the various molecular patterns that instructs priming the disease severity to dysregulate the normal function. This review provides a comprehensive summary of current research on gut microbiota dysbiosis in respiratory diseases including asthma, pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, COPD during infections and cancer. A complex-interaction among gut microbiome, associated metabolites, cytokines, and chemokines regulates the protective immune response activating the mucosal humoral and cellular response. This potential mechanism bridges the regulation patterns through the gut-lung axis. This paper aims to advance the understanding of the crosstalk of gut-lung microbiome during infection, could lead to strategize to modulate the gut microbiome as a treatment plan to improve bad prognosis in various respiratory diseases. Objectives: To develop and validate a magnetic resonance imaging-based (MRI) deep multiple instance learning (D-MIL) model and combine it with clinical parameters for preoperative prediction of lymph node metastasis (LNM) in operable cervical cancer. Methods: A total of 392 patients with cervical cancer were retrospectively enrolled. Clinical parameters were analysed by logistical regression to construct a clinical model (M1). A ResNet50 structure is applied to extract features at the instance level without using manual annotations about the tumour region and then construct a D-MIL model (M2). A hybrid model (M3) was constructed by M1 and M2 scores. The diagnostic performance of each model was evaluated by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) and compared using the Delong method. Disease-free survival (DFS) was evaluated by the Kaplan‒Meier method. Results: SCC-Ag, maximum lymph node short diameter (LNmax), and tumour volume were found to be independent predictors of M1 model. For the diagnosis of LNM, the AUC of the training/internal/external cohort of M1 was 0.736/0.690/0.732, the AUC of the training/internal/external cohort of M2 was 0.757/0.714/0.765, and the AUC of the training/internal/external cohort of M3 was 0.838/0.764/0.835. M3 showed better performance than M1 and M2. Through the survival analysis, patients with higher hybrid model scores had a shorter time to reach DFS. Conclusion: The proposed hybrid model could be used as a personalised non-invasive tool, which is helpful for predicting LNM in operable cervical cancer. The score of the hybrid model could also reflect the DFS of operable cervical cancer. Critical relevance statement: Lymph node metastasis is an important factor affecting the prognosis of cervical cancer. In order to realize the intelligent energy management of the complex ship energy system, achieve the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goal and reduce the ship carbon emissions and ship operating costs, this paper proposes a distributed energy management method for ships entering and leaving ports based on polymorphic network considering computing power resources. Firstly, a polymorphic network-based energy management system for ships entering and leaving ports is proposed to enhance the information exchange between ship computing power, power and port power, simultaneously improve the communication quality and communication security among different modes. Secondly, in order to reduce the ship operating costs and port carbon emissions, the energy management model of ships entering and leaving ports is constructed considering computing power resources. Then, according to the ship's berthing and departing operation modes, this paper uses the distributed algorithm to solve the energy management problem, and explores the impact on the ship microgrid when the ship's data load changes. Background: Autophagy-mediated ferroptosis is implicated in pathogenesis of cancer, including cervical cancer. LncRNAs are involved in regulation of autophagy-mediated ferroptosis. LncRNA EGFR-AS1 stimulates cell growth of cervical cancer, while its role in autophagy-mediated ferroptosis remains unclear. Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of EGFR-AS1 on autophagy-mediated ferroptosis of cervical cancer, and assess the downstream target of EGFR-AS1. Results: The expression of EGFR-AS1 was elevated in cervical cancer tissues, and predicted poor survival rate in patients with cervical cancer. Knockdown of EGFR-AS1 enhanced fluorescence of LC3 in cervical cancer cells. Moreover, protein expression of p62 was decreased, while LC3-II/LC-I ratio was increased by silence of EGFR-AS1. Treatment with lysosomal inhibitor, chloroquine diphosphate salt (CQ) increased p62 expression and LC3-II accumulation in cervical cancer cells with EGFR-AS1 deficiency. Loss of EGFR-AS1 increased cellular iron and ROS level in cervical cancer cells. Furthermore, MDA was increased while SOD was decreased in EGFR-AS1-deficient cells. However, treatment with CQ attenuated EGFR-AS1 deficiency-induced decrease of SOD, increase of MDA, ROS, and cellular iron. Cell viability of cervical cancer was decreased by silence of EGFR-AS1. Loss of EGFR-AS1 increased miR-133b expression to reduce EGFR expression. Over-expression of EGFR weakened EGFR-AS1 deficiency-induced decrease of SOD, increase of MDA, ROS, and cellular iron. Moreover, EGFR-AS1 deficiency-induced increase of LC3-II and decrease of p62 were reversed by over-expression of EGFR. Development of transition metal-based photocatalysts with low cost, strong visible light absorption, and high efficiency is a long-stand pursuit for advanced organic synthesis, yet remains highly challenging. In this article, an anthraquinone-based copper(I) cyclic trinuclear complex (1) was designed and it featured strong visible light absorption, high charge separation efficiency and photochemical properties. Complex 1 as a heterogeneous photocatalyst can efficiently catalyze homo-coupling of terminal alkynes and denitrification-oxidative coupling reaction between hydrazinopyridine and terminal alkynes with excellent yield (up to 99%), broad substrate tolerance (27 examples) and superior reusability (up to 10 cycles without loss of performance) under mild conditions. A reactive quaternary ammonium salt containing double bonds, N-(2-(acryloyloxy)ethyl)-N-allyl-N,N-dimethyl-ammonium bromide (AEADAB), was synthesized by the reaction of 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl acrylate with allyl bromide. Acrylate-functional poly(acrylonitrile–styrene) (PAS) latex particles were prepared by a two-step method. First, the mini-emulsion polymerization of styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of a reactive emulsifier (SE-10N) was employed to prepare the PAS particles. The PAS latex was then precipitated via ion-exchange reaction with AEADAB aqueous solution to obtain the AEADAB-modified acrylate-functional PAS latex particles. The PAS latex was also treated with tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) aqueous solution to prepare the TBAB-modified latex particles. The modified latex particles could be re-dispersed in some organic solvents such as 2-butanone, acetone, 1,4-dioxane and tetrahydrofuran to form stable non-aqueous dispersions. In addition, a water-dispersible multi-acrylate polymer (M-PMVMA) was prepared by the reaction of poly(methylvinylether-alt-maleicanhydride (PMVMA) with methoxypolyethylene glycol and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate. Coating solutions were prepared with the polymer particles, M-PMVMA, iodonium bis(4-methylphenyl)hexafluorophosphate, and a near-infrared (NIR) absorbing agent (IR830). The NIR radiation-sensitive coating was prepared by applying the coating solution onto the aluminum lithographic substrate. An infrared laser exposure and processing of the exposed coating formed a visible image on the substrate. The image quality and image adhesion to the substrate was investigated. Results showed that the NIR radiation-sensitive coating worked by heat-induced coalescence of the polymer particles and free radical crosslinking polymerization occurred during the exposure step. The coating derived from AEADAB-modified acrylate-functional PAS latex particles provided a better image quality compared with that derived from TBAB-modified PAS latex particles. Context: The article presents a comparative study of the electronic, magnetic and catalytic properties of CrPS4, AlPS4, GaPS4 and their expanded structures. It is finally found that: When n = 2, 3, the internal electron mobility of the configurations is stronger than when n = 0,1. When n = 1, the five configurations, except configuration 1Cr(4), are susceptible to both electrophilic and nucleophilic reactions at the same time. The configurations are more prone to nucleophilic reactions when n = 2 and 3, and the reaction sites are mainly located on the metal atoms; the more metal atoms, the more nucleophilic reaction sites. When the M atoms in the configuration are Al and Ga atoms, there is no big difference between the contribution of metal atoms and non-metal atoms to the magnetism in the configuration, while in the configuration containing Cr atoms, the metal atoms contribute more to the magnetism and mainly originate from the d-orbitals, which has better magnetic properties and greater application value. Configuration 2Cr(4) and configuration 1Cr(2) have better catalytic and adsorption activities and are most suitable as catalysts. Methods: In the article, based on topological principles, density functional theory, B3LYP functional and def2-tzvp basis group and Gaussian16 quantum chemistry software were used to optimise the calculations of the clusters CrPS4, AlPS4, GaPS4 and their expanded configurations, with the most stable structure selected for each cluster, and finally, with the help of Multiwfn program, the required analytical data were obtained by assisting the calculations. Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) technology is widely used in intelligent medical treatment; however, massive mobile data transmission makes the cellular network overburden. The combination of medical Internet of Things technology and cloud storage can greatly improve this problem. Most of the existing medical Internet of Things systems cannot be adapted to the environment with limited resources after considering security and privacy, or after ensuring implementation efficiency, it will lead to reduced system security; that is, the mutual authentication function of the system is easily destroyed. The combination of medical Internet of Things technology and medical cloud storage technology can greatly improve the current smart medical environment. We propose an escrow-free identity-based scheme (EF-IDS) to ensure the function of mutual authentication between system entities, propose a secure lightweight cloud-centric smart medical system based on the medical Internet of Things based on EF-IDS and prove that our system ensures the privacy and security of users' personal health information. It also provides the ability to publicly verify the integrity of the data stored on the medical cloud server. Based on the single-center case reports and all reported patients with primary hyperoxaluria type 1 (PH1) in China, this study discussed the clinical and genetic characteristics of this disease retrospectively. We reported and validated a novel genetic variation c.302 T > G: the clinical phenotypes of the two siblings were similar, in which both had onset in infancy, mainly manifested as renal insufficiency, and died within 6 months out of end-stage renal disease. The literature review is the first to summarize the Chinese patients with PH1 up to now. Forty-eight Chinese patients were included, containing 7 adults and 41 children. The median onset age was 51 months, and the ratio of male to female was 2.69:1. It showed a poor prognosis: 51.1% of Chinese primary hyperoxaluria type 1 patients suffered from end-stage renal disease, and 38.9% of patients died. Urolithiasis was the most common clinical manifestation both in adults and children, while infant-onset patients generally presented with renal insufficiency and had a higher mortality of 75.0%. One hundred and forty-nine AGXT mutant alleles are currently known in the Chinese population, c.33dupC and c.815_816insGA were the most common AGXT genes, accounting for 12.0% and 10.1% of allele frequencies, respectively. The exons 1, 2, 6, and 8 were the most common locations of gene variants, accounting for 78% of all variants, which will be promising targets of DNA sequencing for primary hyperoxaluria type 1. Background: Gallbladder cancer (GC) is a uncommon and highly malignant tumor. This study compared the effects of simple cholecystectomy (SC) and extended cholecystectomy (EC) on the long-term survival of stage I GC. Methods: Patients with stage I GC between 2004 and 2015 in the SEER database were selected. Meanwhile, this study collected the clinical information of patients with stage I GC admitted to five medical centers in China between 2012 and 2022. Using clinical data from patients in the SEER database as a training set to construct a nomogram, which was validated in Chinese multicenter patients. Long-term survival between SC and EC were distinguished using propensity score matching (PSM). Results: A total of 956 patients from the SEER database and 82 patients from five Chinese hospitals were included in this study. The independent prognostic factors were age, sex, histology, tumor size, T stage, grade, chemotherapy and surgical approach by multivariate Cox regression analysis. We developed a nomogram based on these variables. The nomogram has been proved to have good accuracy and discrimination in internal and external validation. The cancer-specific survival (CSS) and overall survival of patients receiving EC were better than those of SC before and after the propensity score match. The interaction test showed that EC was associated with better survival in patients aged ≥ 67 years (P = 0.015) and in patients with T1b and T1NOS (P < 0.001). Conclusion: A novel nomogram to predict CSS in patients with stage I GC after SC or EC. The nitration of toluene with mixed acid is one of the most representative nitration reactions. Accurate kinetic study is essential for controlling the reaction and designing reactors. Due to the characteristics of fast rate, high exothermicity and heterogeneity in toluene nitration, the effects of mass and heat transfer may result in inaccurate determination of kinetics. In this work, the adiabatic temperature rises of the reaction system were studied to provide precise ranges of experimental conditions for accurately controlling the reaction rate and heat release rate in a liquid–liquid microflow system. The adiabatic temperature rise was successfully controlled to below 0.3 °C. The effects of mass and heat transfer on the reaction rate were completely eliminated, so that the kinetic study was carried out under the control of intrinsic kinetics only. The activation energy for toluene nitration was determined to be 28.00 kJ/mol. The activation energies for the formation of o-nitrotoluene and p-nitrotoluene were obtained for the first time, which were 25.71 and 31.91 kJ/mol, respectively. Purpose: Although the therapy-related bone loss attracts increasing attention nowadays, the differences in chemotherapy-induced bone loss and bone metabolism indexes change among breast cancer (BC) women with different menstrual statuses or chemotherapy regimens are unknown. The aim of the study is to explore the effects of different regimens of chemotherapy on bone health. Method: The self-control study enrolled 118 initially diagnosed BC women without distant metastasis who underwent dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) bone mineral density (BMD) screening and (or) bone metabolism index monitoring during chemotherapy at Chongqing Breast Cancer Center. Mann-Whitney U test, Cochran’s Q test, and Wilcoxon sign rank test were performed. Results: After chemotherapy, the BMD in the lumbar 1–4 and whole lumbar statistically decreased (− 1.8%/per 6 months), leading to a significantly increased proportion of osteoporosis (27.1% vs. 20.5%, P < 0.05), which were mainly seen in the premenopausal group (− 7.0%/per 6 months). Of the chemotherapeutic regimens of EC (epirubicin + cyclophosphamide), TC (docetaxel + cyclophosphamide), TEC (docetaxel + epirubicin + cyclophosphamide), and EC-T(H) [epirubicin + cyclophosphamide-docetaxel and/or trastuzumab], EC regimen had the least adverse impact on BMD, while the EC-TH regimen reduced BMD most (P < 0.05) inspite of the non-statistical difference between EC-T regimen, which was mainly seen in the postmenopausal group. Chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea (estradiol 94 pg/ml vs, 22 pg/ml; FSH 9.33 mIU/ml vs. 61.27 mIU/ml) was proved in premenopausal subgroup (P < 0.001). Except the postmenopausal population with calcium/VitD supplement, the albumin-adjusted calcium increased significantly (2.21 mmol/l vs. 2.33 mmol/l, P < 0.05) after chemotherapy. In postmenopausal group with calcium/VitD supplement, β-CTX decreased significantly (0.56 ng/ml vs. 0.39 ng/ml, P < 0.05) and BMD were not affected by chemotherapy (P > 0. 05). In premenopausal group with calcium/VitD supplement, PTH decreased significantly (52.90 pg/ml vs. 28.80 pg/ml, P = 0. 008) and hip BMD increased after chemotherapy (0.845 g/m2 vs. 0.952 g/m2, P = 0. 006). As for both postmenopausal and premenopausal group without calcium/VitD supplement, there was a significant decrease in bone mass in hip and lumbar vertebrae after chemotherapy (0.831 g/m2 vs. 0.776 g/m2; 0.895 g/m2 vs. 0.870 g/m2, P < 0.05). Conclusion: Chemotherapy might induce lumbar vertebrae BMD loss and spine osteoporosis with regimen differences among Chinese BC patients. Calcium/VitD supplementation could improve bone turnover markers, bone metabolism indicators, and bone mineral density. Aluminum (Al) is a neurotoxic substance associated with cognitive dysfunction and neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, but the mechanisms for aluminum neurotoxicity remain to be identified. In this work, we try to investigate a novel potential biomarker of cognitive dysfunction following aluminum exposure and the mechanism involved. Recently, miR-134-3p was reported as a novel regulator of cognitive function. To address this, we investigate the expression level of miR-134-3p in plasma from 280 aluminum factory workers and analyzed the correlation between miRNA-134-3p, blood Al concentration, and Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (MoCA scale) score. The results implied that occupational aluminum exposure elevated miR-134-3p expression in the plasma of workers accompanied by cognitive impairment. Our experiment studies using both animal models and PC12 cells validated the upregulation of miR-134-3p caused by aluminum. In addition, we identified that palmitoylation enzyme zDHHC3 was the target of miR-134-3p, and the decreasing AMPAR receptor (AMPAR) trafficking was related to the learning and memory impairment induced by aluminum. More importantly, using transfection and interference approaches in PC12 cells, inhibition of miR-134-3p resulted in a recovery of zDHHC3-AMPARs axis to a certain extent in response to aluminum. However, there are currently no clinically available biomarkers to predict adjuvant TACE response. Vessels that encapsulate tumor clusters (VETC) can be used as an independent predictor of HCC prognosis. In this study, we aimed to explore whether the VETC pattern could predict adjuvant TACE benefit. Methods: Vascular pattern and HIF-1α expression were detected in immunohistochemistry. The survival benefit of adjuvant TACE therapy for patients with or without VETC pattern (VETC+ /VETC−) was evaluated. Results: The adjuvant TACE therapy obviously improved the TTR and OS in VETC+ patients, while adjuvant TACE therapy could not benefit from VETC− patients. Univariate and multivariate analysis revealed that adjuvant TACE therapy significantly improved the TTR and OS in VETC+ patients, but not in VETC- patients. In addition, the VETC+ , but not VETC− , patients could benefit from adjuvant TACE therapy in patients with high-risk factors of vascular invasion, larger tumor or multiple tumor. The mechanistic investigations revealed that the favorable efficacy of adjuvant TACE on VETC+ patients, but not VETC− ones, may be not due to the activation of HIF-1α pathway. Conclusion: The VETC pattern may represent a novel and reliable factor for selecting HCC patients who may benefit from adjuvant TACE therapy, and the combination of VETC pattern and tumor characteristics may help stratify patients' outcomes and responses to adjuvant TACE therapy. The binary polyhydrides of heavy rare earth lutetium that shares a similar valence electron configuration to lanthanum have been experimentally discovered to be superconductive. The lutetium polyhydrides were successfully synthesized at high pressure and high temperature conditions using a diamond anvil cell in combinations with the in-situ high pressure laser heating technique. The resistance measurements as a function of temperature were performed at the same pressure of synthesis in order to study the transitions of superconductivity (SC). The superconducting transition with a maximum onset temperature (Tc) 71 K was observed at pressure of 218 GPa in the experiments. The Tc decreased to 65 K when pressure was at 181 GPa. From the evolution of SC at applied magnetic fields, the upper critical field at zero temperature μ 0 H c 2 (0) was obtained to be ∼36 T. The in-situ high pressure X-ray diffraction experiments imply that the high Tc SC should arise from the Lu4H23 phase with P m 3 ¯ n symmetry that forms a new type of hydrogen cage framework different from those reported for previous light rare earth polyhydride superconductors. Mesoporous α-Fe2O3 nanowires have been prepared through solid-state thermal conversion of ferrous oxalate dihydrate precursor for supercapacitor application. The possible growth mechanism of the FeC2O4·2H2O nanowires was proposed based on a series of time-dependent experiments. The specific surface area and pore size distribution of the mesoporous α-Fe2O3 nanowires were calculated to be about 70.6 m2 g−1 and 2.5 nm, respectively. Furthermore, electrochemical measurements demonstrate that the as-prepared mesoporous α-Fe2O3 nanowire electrode delivers a high specific capacitance up to 267.5 F g−1 at 2 A g−1 and good cycle performance (87% capacitance retention under 2000 cycles). The excellent supercapacitor performance of the α-Fe2O3 nanowires can be ascribed mainly to the unique mesoporous structure with large specific surface area, which provide fast electron/ion transfer path as well as large reaction surface area. Vehicle re-identification (Re-ID) is a critical component of the autonomous driving perception system, and research in this area has accelerated in recent years. However, there is yet no perfect solution to the vehicle re-identification issue associated with the car's surround-view camera system. Our analysis identifies two significant issues in the aforementioned scenario: (1) It is difficult to identify the same vehicle in many picture frames due to the unique construction of the fisheye camera. (2) The appearance of the same vehicle when seen via the surround vision system's several cameras is rather different. To overcome these issues, we suggest an integrative vehicle Re-ID solution method. On the one hand, we provide a technique for determining the consistency of the tracking box drift with respect to the target. On the other hand, we combine a Re-ID network based on the attention mechanism with spatial limitations to increase performance in situations involving multiple cameras. Radiotherapy is the main treatment for cervical cancer. It is usually applied alone or in combination with surgery and/or chemotherapy. To explore the association between immune microenvironment of cervical cancer and radiotherapy response, we collected 20 paired cervical cancer tumor samples before and after radiotherapy and partial clinical information. With paired-end RNA-seq, we quantified the immune infiltration and tumor purity of these samples, and obtained 6350 differentially expressed genes before and after radiotherapy. With the help of R language, the function enrichment analysis and 22 immune cells infiltration analysis were carried out. Moreover, we built a random forest model based on the immune microenvironment to predict the short-term efficacy of radiotherapy. We found that the effect of radiotherapy on the immune microenvironment of stage III and IV cervical cancer patients was weaker than that of stage I and II cervical cancer patients. Radiotherapy can significantly reduce the tumor purity and increase immune infiltration. The proportions of the immune infiltrating cells are predictive of the radiotherapy efficacy. Soil pollution represents a threat to soil biodiversity and to soil and human health. However, many ecotoxicological issues, such as the impact of heavy metal pollution on the soil mite community and its spatial distribution in areas with complex environmental factors, are not fully understood. Here, an investigation was conducted in an arable area (about 11 km2) enclosed by surrounding mountains. The study area was contaminated with potentially toxic metals derived from copper smelting that was functioning for over 10 years. The area comprised four land use types: woodlands, dry fields, paddy fields, and wastelands, and was divided into 141 study sites each with an area of 6.25 ha. The soil metal (Cu, Zn, Pb, and Cd) contents, pH, and organic matter were determined and their distributions were established. Furthermore, soil mite (Acari) community properties (species richness, individual abundance, and Shannon–Wiener diversity index) were determined, and the distributions of total species number and abundance were ascertained. Soil metal pollution strongly reduced soil mite community, but the effects depended on mite groups or species and their sensitivity to different metals as well as land use types. CANOCO analysis revealed that the order Oribatida was more highly correlated with soil metal contents, whereas the other three orders responded to soil metal contents depending on land use types, mite properties, or metals. SADIE method indicated that the coordinate relationship between mite species number and metal concentration was more negative (4–25% of the study sites) than positive (4–12%). To study the effect of the palmitoylation/depalmitoylation cycle on the inhibition of ɑ-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolpropionic acid (AMPA) receptor trafficking induced by aluminum (Al) in vitro. Five different doses of aluminum-maltolate complex (Al(mal)3) were administered to rat adrenal pheochromocytoma cells (PC12 cells) for three exposure time durations, and the cell activity was measured by the CCK-8 method to obtain the optimal doses and time of Al(mal)3 exposure. Following Al(mal)3 exposure, membrane protein (M) and total protein (T) were extracted. The expression levels of GluR1 and GluR2, which are AMPA receptor subunits, were determined by Western blot analysis, and the levels with respect to membrane and total protein were calculated. The ratio of membrane protein to total protein (M/T) was used to measure the rate of AMPA receptor transport. The palmitoylation levels of GluR1 and GluR2 were detected by immunoprecipitation-acyl-biotin exchange (IP-ABE) assay. Western blotting was performed to detect the protein expression of acyltransferase (zDHHC3) and palmitoyl protein thioesterase 1 (PPT1). Following depalmitoylation inhibitor (palmostatin B) treatment of PC12 cells, the effect of aluminum on AMPA receptor trafficking was detected through the aforementioned methods. With increasing Al(mal)3 doses administered to PC12 cells, a gradual decrease in the trafficking of AMPA receptor subunits GluR1 and GluR2 and in the palmitoylation levels of GluR1 and GluR2 was found; the expression of zDHHC3 was decreased; and the expression of PPT1 was increased. In addition, palmostatin B reduced the effects of Al(mal)3 on AMPA receptor palmitoylation and trafficking. Al can inhibit the trafficking of the AMPA receptor in vitro, and a decrease in the palmitoylation level of the AMPA receptor may be a mechanism of Al action. It's difficult for clinical bedside evaluations to accurately determine the occurrence of aspiration in patients. Although VFSS and FEES are the gold standards for clinical diagnosis of dysphagia, which are mainly used to evaluate people at high risk of dysphagia found by bedside screening, the operation is complicated and time-consuming. The aim of this pilot study was to present an objective measure based on a multi-parameter approach to screen for aspiration risk in patients with dysphagia. Objective evaluation techniques based on speech parameters were used to assess the oral motor function, vocal cord function, and voice changes before and after swallowing in 32 patients with dysphagia (16 low-risk aspiration group, 16 high-risk aspiration group). Student's t test combined with stepwise logistic regression were used to determine the optimal index. The best model consists of three parameters, and the equation is: logit(P) = − 3.824 − (0.504 × maximum phonation time) + (0.008 × second formant frequency of /u/) − 0.085 × (fundamental frequency difference before and after swallowing). An additional eight patients with dysphagia were randomly selected as the validation group of the model. When applied to validation, this model can accurately identify the risk of aspiration in 87.5% of patients, and the sensitivity is as high as 100%. The superhydrophilic and underwater superoleophobic membranes based on textile possessed excellent separation efficiency as well as outstanding anti-oil fouling property, while the poor stability caused by nanoparticle (NP) shedding had severely limited the practical application in oily water separation. In this paper, a feasible method of fabricating the robust membranes based on cotton fabric (CF), which was decorated with TiO2 NP and citric acid (CA) through micro-dissolution method, was reported. Firstly, the CF was slightly dissolved in the NaOH/Urea solution at low temperature, accelerating the destruction of the cellulose macromolecule on the superficial layers of the fabrics. Then, the vacuum filtration process promoted the TiO2 NP to distribute uniformly on the CF surface. In the subsequent coagulation process, the TiO2 NP were firmly anchored on the fabric surface because of self-glue effect of micro-dissolved CF. Finally, the esterification reaction between CA and CF was carried out to enhance the hydrophilic property of CF. The prepared membranes were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. Additionally, the separation performance and stability of membranes were systematically evaluated. The results of SEM indicated that the TiO2 NP were uniformly anchored on the membrane surface. Especially, the prepared membranes could not only separate traditional oil/water mixture but also treat complicated oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion with excellent separation efficiency. What's more, the membranes could withstand various harsh condition and exhibit excellent application stability. With the advancing of location-detection technologies and the increasing popularity of mobile phones and other location-aware devices, trajectory data is continuously growing. While large-scale trajectories provide opportunities for various applications, the locations in trajectories pose a threat to individual privacy. Recently, there has been an interesting debate on the reidentifiability of individuals in the Science magazine. The main finding of Sánchez et al. is exactly opposite to that of De Montjoye et al., which raises the first question: "what is the true situation of the privacy preservation for trajectories in terms of reidentification?" Furthermore, it is known that anonymization typically causes a decline of data utility, and anonymization mechanisms need to consider the trade-off between privacy and utility. This raises the second question: "what is the true situation of the utility of anonymized trajectories?" To answer these two questions, we conduct a systematic experimental study, using three real-life trajectory datasets, five existing anonymization mechanisms (i.e., identifier anonymization, grid-based anonymization, dummy trajectories, k-anonymity and ε-differential privacy), and two practical applications (i.e., travel time estimation and window range queries). Our findings reveal the true situation of the privacy preservation for trajectories in terms of reidentification and the true situation of the utility of anonymized trajectories, and essentially close the debate between De Montjoye et al. and Sánchez et al. To the best of our knowledge, this study is among the first systematic evaluation and analysis of anonymized trajectories on the individual privacy in terms of unicity and on the utility in terms of practical applications. Metastasis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is a leading cause of death. The purpose of this research was to investigate the key gene in ccRCC tumor metastasis. Three microarray datasets (GSE22541, GSE85258, and GSE105261), which included primary and metastatic ccRCC tissues, were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Expression profiling and clinical data of ccRCC were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset. A total of 20 overlapping differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified using the R limma package. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis indicated that the DEGs were mainly enriched in tumor metastasis-related pathways. Gene expression analysis and survival analysis in the GEPIA2 database further identified the key gene HSD11B2. qRT-PCR result manifested that HSD11B2 level was significantly down-regulated in ccRCC tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues. ROC analysis showed that HSD11B2 exhibited good diagnostic efficiency for metastatic and non-metastatic ccRCC. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that HSD11B2 expression was an independent prognostic factor. To establish a nomogram combining HSD11B2 expression and clinical factors, and a new method for predicting the survival probability of ccRCC patients. Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) enrichment results showed that low expression of HSD11B2 was mainly enriched in tumor signaling pathways and immune-related pathways. Immune analysis revealed a significant correlation between HSD11B2 and tumor immune infiltrates in ccRCC. Objective: To evalvate efficacy of Qizi Yusi Pills (QYP), a Chinese medicine compound preparation, on in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in women of advanced reproductive age. Methods: This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted from June 2018 to October 2019. A total of 124 patients were randomly allocated to either the QYP group or the placebo group using a stratified block randomization design, with 62 patients in each group. All patients completed controlled ovarian stimulation using a standard gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a) long protocol. As the QYP group, QYP was administered while the control group received placebo. QYP and placebo were administered for a total of 24 to 30 days from the day of GnRH-a pituitary downregulation to transvaginal oocyte retrieval. Both medications were taken orally at doses of 10 g three times each day. The primary outcome was cumulative pregnancy rate, and the secondary outcomes were periodic medication, follicular status, serum hormone and endometrial receptivity. Follow-up continued until 4 weeks after delivery. Maternal and neonatal complications, such as gestational diabetes, were also observed. Results: Overall, 119 patients completed the study, 60 in the QYP group and 59 in the placebo group. Per protocol (PP) analysis revealed that 6-month cumulative pregnancy rate in the QYP group was significantly higher than that in the placebo group [43.33% (26/60) vs. 25.42% (15/59), P=0.040). Additionally, more oocytes were retrieved from the QYP group than those from the placebo group (8.95 ± 3.12 vs. 7.85 ± 1.91, P=0.022). Moreover, the endometrial thickness of HCG day in the QYP group was significantly higher than that in the placebo group (11.78 ± 2.27 mm vs. 10.68 ± 2.07 mm, P=0.012). Maternal and neonatal complications between the two groups were not significantly different (P>0.05). Intention-to-treat analysis was in line with PP results. Conclusions: QYP can enhance ovarian reserve capacity and ovarian response, and possibly promote endometrial receptivity. Purpose: MicroRNA-21 (miR-21) is a well-known oncomiR and plays key roles in regulating various biological processes related to pulmonary diseases, especially lung carcinoma. The regulatory roles and downstream targets of miR-21 remain far from well understood. We aimed to identify miR-21–gene regulatory network in lung tissue. Methods: Transcriptome and proteome analyses were performed on lung tissues from miR-21 knockout (KO) mice and their wildtype (WT) littermates. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and proteins (DEPs) between miR-21KO and WT were analyzed, and correlation analysis was performed between transcriptional and translational level. DEPs were used for prediction of miR-21 target genes and construction of co-expression network. Results: Comparing with WT mice, 820 DEGs and 623 DEPs were identified in lung tissues of miR-21KO mice. Upregulated DEGs and DEPs were both significantly enriched in pathways of metabolism of xenobiotics by cytochrome P450, drug metabolism, and chemical carcinogenesis. Of the 31 molecules commonly identified in DEGs and DEPs, 9 upregulated genes were tumor suppressor genes while 8 downregulated genes were oncogenes, and 12 genes showed closely positive correlation between mRNA and protein expression. Real-time PCR validation results were consistent with the omics data. Among the upregulated DEPs in miR-21KO mice, 21 genes were predicted as miR-21 targets. The miR-21 regulatory network was constructed by target genes and their highly co-expressed proteins, which identified the miR-21 target Itih4 as a hub gene. Conclusion: MiR-21–gene regulatory network was constructed in mouse lung tissue. MiR-21KO resulted in extensive upregulation of tumor suppressor genes and downregulation of oncogenes. Background: Acute kidney injury is a serious complication of moderately severe and severe acute pancreatitis, which significantly increases mortality. There are currently no reliable tools for early identification of AKI especially severe AKI in these patients. We aim to develop a predictive model so that physicians can assess the risk of AKI and severe AKI, thus take further preventive measures. Methods: Patients with a diagnosis of MSAP and SAP admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to December 2021 were retrospectively included in the study. The participants were divided into the training and validation cohorts randomly, in a 2:1 ratio. A clinical signature was built based on reproducible features, using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator method and machine learning. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to develop the prediction model. Nomogram performance was determined by its discrimination, calibration, and clinical usefulness. Results: A total of 996 eligible patients were enrolled. 698 patients were allocated in the training cohort and 298 in the validation cohort. AKI occurred in 148 patients (21%) in the training cohort and 54 (18%) in the validation cohort, respectively. The clinical features, including C-reactive protein, intra-abdominal pressure and serum cysC, were significantly associated with AKI as well as severe AKI. The nomogram showed favorable discrimination, calibration and clinical usefulness. Conclusions: The novel risk score model has good performance for predicting AKI and severe AKI in MSAP and SAP patients. We present an approach that allows one to obtain information on the compositeness of molecular states from combined information of the scattering length of the hadronic components, the effective range, and the binding energy. We consider explicitly the range of the interaction in the formalism and show it to be extremely important to improve on the formula of Weinberg obtained in the limit of very small binding and zero range interaction. The method allows obtaining good information also in cases where the binding is not small. We explicitly apply it to the case of the deuteron and the D s 0 ∗ (2317) and D s 1 ∗ (2460) states and determine simultaneously the value of the compositeness within a certain range, as well as get qualitative information on the range of the interaction. In order to improve the performance of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), the simulation experiments are carried out on the traditional straight channel, the cathode variable cross-section flow channel and the inclined cross-section flow channel model, respectively, and the calculation models of the three fuel cells are established at the same time. When the PEMFC humidity is 100%, the cathode variable-section flow channel has best drainage capacity. In terms of power density, the cathode variable cross-section flow channel is 3% higher than the cathode inclined cross-section flow channel. The difference between the three structures is small at medium current density and low current density, and the voltage loss of the cathode-to-interface flow channel is smallest at high current density. When the humidity of the PEMFC is 60%, the performance of the cathode variable cross-section flow channel and inclined cross-section flow channel are better than that of traditional direct flow channel. The power density of the cathode variable cross-section flow channel is 7.1% higher than that of the traditional direct flow channel. The power density of the cathode inclined cross-section flow channel is 4.2% higher than that of the traditional straight channel. Emerging evidence reveals that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) contribute to human tumorigenesis. Nevertheless, the function of HOXC cluster antisense RNA 3 (HOXC-AS3) in human cervical cancer (CC) remains largely unknown. The levels of HOXC-AS3, miR-105-5p and SOS1 in CC tissues and cells were monitored by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and western blot (WB). Gain- and loss-of-function experiments were conducted to verify the function of HOXC-AS3 and miR-105-5p in CC cells. Meanwhile, cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion were examined by the cell counting kit-8 (CCK8) experiment, colony formation assay, flow cytometry and Transwell assay. Dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay were carried out to test the regulatory interaction of HOXC-AS3, miR-105-5p and SOS1. In addition, in vivo experiment was performed to certain the role of HOXC-AS3 in tumorigenesis of CC. HOXC-AS3 was overexpressed in CC tissues (vs. adjacent normal tissues) and CC cells. Besides, the higher HOXC-AS3 profile was associated with the poorer clinical prognosis of CC patients. Overexpression of HOXC-AS3 promoted cell growth, migration and invasion, hampered apoptosis, whereas knocking down HOXC-AS3 exhibited the reverse effects. MiR-105-5p was a downstream target of HOXC-AS3, and it mediated the HOXC-AS3-induced oncogenic effects. Mechanistically, the bioinformatic analysis illustrated that SOS1 was targeted by miR-105-5p. Up-regulating SOS1 heightened the growth, migration and invasion of CC cells by enhancing the ErbB signaling pathway, which was reversed by miR-105-5p. In recent years, marine hypoxia has frequently occurred in global coastal and estuarine waters with detrimental impacts on marine fauna. In this work, we examined the impact of hypoxia on the mortality, growth, reproduction, and enzyme activities of the mysid Neomysis awatschensis. The mortality rate of adult mysids increased by 100% within 4 h under the hypoxia treatment (2 mg/L), while that of juveniles was 53.33 ± 5.77% after 96 h. The long-term low dissolved oxygen (DO) treatment (5 mg/L for 30 d) significantly reduced the fatty acid content of mysids. A significant reproductive inhibition was also observed: the total juvenile productions in the treatment with DO at 4, 5, and 6 mg/L were only 6.5%, 24%, and 60% of the control group (DO at 8.5 mg/L), respectively. The total superoxide dismutase activity increased significantly in low oxygen treatments. Catalase and lactate dehydrogenase activities first increased and then decreased with the dropping DO concentrations. These results suggest that hypoxia has multiple impacts on marine zooplankton. Amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the miraculous breakthroughs of multiple effective and safe COVID-19 vaccines offer hopeful prospects. Yet, the endgame of the pandemic is not vaccines; it is vaccination. The daunting challenge of vaccinating the world offers ample investigative opportunities for management scientists who are interested in improving the efficiency and equity of vaccine supply chains. Aerobic denitrifiers have the potential to reduce nitrate in polluted water under aerobic conditions. A salt-tolerant aerobic denitrifier was newly isolated and identified as Vibrio spp. AD2 from a marine recirculating aquaculture system, in which denitrification performance was investigated via single-factor experiment, Box–Behnken experiment, and nitrogen balance analysis. Nitrate reductase genes were identified by polymerase chain reaction. Results showed that strain AD2 removed 98.9% of nitrate-nitrogen (NO3−-N) with an initial concentration about 100 mg·L−1 in 48 h without nitrite-nitrogen (NO2−-N) accumulation. Nitrogen balance indicated that approximately 17.5% of the initial NO3−-N was utilized for bacteria synthesis themselves, 4.02% was converted to organic nitrogen, 39.8% was converted to nitrous oxide (N2O), and 31.1% was converted to nitrogen (N2). Response surface methodology experiment showed that the maximum removal of total nitrogen (TN) occurred under the condition of C/N ratio 11.5, shaking speed 127.9 rpm, and temperature 30.8 °C. Sequence amplification indicated that the denitrification genes, napA and nirS, were present in strain AD2. These results indicated that the strain AD2 has potential applications for removing NO3−-N from high-salinity (3%) wastewater. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Little is known on the potential impact of temperature on respiratory morbidity, especially for children whose respiratory system can be more vulnerable to climate changes. In this time-series study, Poisson generalized additive models combined with distributed lag nonlinear models were used to assess the associations between ambient temperature and childhood respiratory morbidity. The impacts of extreme cold and hot temperatures were calculated as cumulative relative risks (cum.RRs) at the 1st and 99th temperature percentiles relative to the minimum morbidity temperature percentile. Attributable fractions of respiratory morbidity due to cold or heat were calculated for temperatures below or above the minimum morbidity temperature. Effect modifications by air pollution, age, and sex were assessed in stratified analyses. A total of 877,793 respiratory hospital visits of children under 14 years old between 2013 and 2017 were collected from Beijing Children's Hospital. Overall, we observed J-shaped associations with greater respiratory morbidity risks for exposure to lower temperatures, and higher fraction of all-cause respiratory hospital visits was caused by cold (33.1%) than by heat (0.9%). Relative to the minimum morbidity temperature (25 °C, except for rhinitis, which is 31 °C), the cum.RRs for extreme cold temperature (-6 °C) were 2.64 (95%CI: 1.51–4.61) for all-cause respiratory hospital visits, 2.73 (95%CI: 1.44–5.18) for upper respiratory infection, 2.76 (95%CI: 1.56–4.89) for bronchitis, 2.12 (95%CI: 1.30–3.47) for pneumonia, 2.06 (95%CI: 1.27–3.34) for rhinitis, and 4.02 (95%CI: 2.14–7.55) for asthma, whereas the associations between extreme hot temperature (29 °C) and respiratory hospital visits were not significant. The impacts of extreme cold temperature on asthma hospital visits were greater at higher levels of ozone (O3) exposure (> 50th percentile). Our findings suggest significantly increased childhood respiratory morbidity risks at extreme cold temperature, and the impact of extreme cold temperature on asthma hospital visits can be enhanced under higher level exposure to O3. Objective: To evaluate the effect of electro-acupuncture (EA) in infertile patients with phlegm-dampness polycystic ovary syndrome-insulin resistance (PCOS-IR). Methods: Seventy-six PCOS-IR patients who underwnet in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) were equally assigned to two groups according to a random digital table: the EA group and the control group, with 38 cases in each group. Before undergoing IVF, the two groups were treated with EA or pseudo-acupuncture, respectively, for 3 menstrual cycles. The intervention was 25 min twice a week until the day of oocyte collection. The selected acupoints were Zhongwan (RN 12), Tianshu (ST 25), Daheng (SP 15), Daimai (GB 26), Qihai (CV 6), Guanyuan (CV 4), and bilateral points including Xuehai (SP 10), Fenglong (ST 40), Zusanli (ST 36), and Yinlingquan (SP 9). Evaluation of phlegm-dampness syndrome score and IR score were carried out before and after treatment. Additionally, the number of oocytes retrieved, transplantable embryo rate, high-quality embryo rate, clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate were compared between the two groups. Real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis was used to monitor the mRNA expression of the insulin receptor substrate (IRS-1), phosphatidylinositiol 3-kinase (PI3K) and glucose transport factor 4 (GLUT4) in ovarian granulosa cells. Results: EA treatment reduced the phlegm-dampness syndrome score as well as the IR scores compared with the control group (P<0.05). No significant differences in the number of oocytes retrieved and clinical pregnancy rate between the two groups (P>0.05). Moreover, the transplantable embryo rate [49.0% (284/580) vs. 41.9% (273/652)], high-quality embryo rate [36.6% (104/284) vs. 27.8% (76/273)], and live birth rate [50% (19/38) vs. 26.3% (10/38)] in the EA group were significantly higher than in the control group (P<0.05). Gene expression analyses revealed significantly elevated IRS-1, PI3K and GLUT4 mRNA in ovarian granulosa cells of the EA group compared with the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: EA may ameliorate the effects of phlegm-dampness syndrome and ovarian IR in PCOS-IR patients. Mechanistically, this effect might be through an upregulation of the IRS-1/PI3K/GLUT4 signaling pathway, which may result in improved oocyte quality and embryonic development potential. The functionalized biochar was assembled on modified zeolite to synthesize a novel modified composite adsorbent. The latter was applied to simultaneous adsorption of ammonium and nitrate. The Box–Behnken design (BBD) in response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to optimize the parameters, which included ratio of raw materials, adsorbent dose, pH, and temperature. The chemical functional groups were determined by Fourier transform infrared adsorption (FT-IR). Stronger absorption peaks of amine groups indicated that the functionalized adsorbent could enhance the adsorption of contaminants. The composite adsorbent effectively increased NH4+ and NO3− adsorption capacity by porous structure recombination, change of surface morphology and further exposure of surface functional groups. The kinetic results indicate that the adsorption of both NH4+ and NO3− follows a pseudo-second-order nonlinear model. The Langmuir isotherm model fitted well the experimental data with a maximum adsorption capacity of 24.45 mg/g for nitrate and 24.63 mg/g for ammonium at 25°C. Nitrate was absorbed by electrostatic interactions with grafted amine groups and, in contrast, the ammonium adsorption was mainly related to ion exchange with Na+. The adsorption process of both nitrate and ammonium were spontaneous and exothermic. The adsorbents can be regenerated effectively in NaCl and NaOH mixed solutions, and the desorbed adsorbents are of high reusability and can be applied effectively at least for five cycles. Histamine receptors play important roles in various pathophysiological conditions and are effective targets for anti-allergy treatment, however the mechanism of receptor activation remain elusive. Here, we present the cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) structure of the human H1R in complex with a Gq protein in an active conformation via a NanoBiT tethering strategy. The structure reveals that histamine activates receptor via interacting with the key residues of both transmembrane domain 3 (TM3) and TM6 to squash the binding pocket on the extracellular side and to open the cavity on the intracellular side for Gq engagement in a model of "squash to activate and expand to deactivate". The structure also reveals features for Gq coupling, including the interaction between intracellular loop 2 (ICL2) and the αN-β junction of Gq/11 protein. The detailed analysis of our structure will provide a framework for understanding G-protein coupling selectivity and clues for designing novel antihistamines. Histamine receptors are effective targets for allergy treatments and antihistamines are the first choice of many allergic disorders, but the exact mechanism of agonist binding and receptor activation remain unknown. Background: Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to play pivotal role in pathogenesis and prognosis of cancers. Identification of novel clinical biomarkers in advanced stage colorectal cancer (CRC) is warranted. Aims: To identify potential lncRNAs associated with progression of stage III/IV CRC and illuminate regulatory mechanisms. Methods: Differentially expressed lncRNAs, mRNAs and miRNAs (DElncRNAs, DEmRNAs, and DEmiRNAs) were extracted between stage III/IV CRC and normal tissues. We used DEGs to construct a ceRNA network and analyzed correlations between key lncRNAs and overall survivals (OS) of stage III/IV CRC patients. Weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was applied to a pivotal lncRNA. We conducted functional enrichment analysis on target genes and constructed lncRNA–TF–mRNA network by overlapping mRNAs co-expressed with the key lncRNA and target genes of transcriptional factors (TFs). Results: A total of 26 DElncRNAs, 398 DEmiRNAs, 2155 DEmRNAs were identified. A ceRNA network was constructed with 16 lncRNAs, 20 miRNAs, and 59 mRNAs, in which MFI2-AS1 exhibited promising diagnostic efficiency. (AUC was 0.938.) MFI2-AS1 was negatively correlated to OS of stage III/IV CRC patients (P value < 0.05). KEGG analysis showed potential mRNA targets of MFI2-AS1 mainly involved in cell cycle and cytokine–cytokine receptor interaction. We identified 17 potential TFs of MFI2-AS1 and built a lncRNA–TF–mRNA network. Conclusion: Our study provides novel insights into lncRNAs associated regulatory networks and reveals a promising lncRNA biomarker, MFI2-AS1, as an independent prognostic indicator and potential therapeutic target for CRC. Soil-rock mixtures containing macropore (SRMCM) is a kind of geological material with special mechanical properties. Located in the project area of Lenggu hydropower station on the Yalong River, Sichuan Province, China, there is an extremely unstable Mahe talus slide with a total volume of nearly 160 million cubic meters, which is mainly composed of SRMCM. The study on the mechanical properties of SRMCM is of great significance for the engineering construction and safe operation. In this paper, laboratory tests and discrete element numerical tests based on three-dimensional scanning technology were conducted to study the influence of stone content, stone size, and the angle of the macropore structure on shear characteristics of SRMCM. The failure mechanism of SRMCM was discussed from a microscopic perspective. This work explains the internal mechanism of the influence of stone content, stone size, and the angle of the macropore structure on the strength of SRMCM through the microscopic level of stone rotation, force chain distribution, and crack propagation. As the macropore structure that intersects with the preset shear plane at a large angle could act as a skeleton-like support to resist the shear force, the fracture of the weak cemented surface of soil and stone in the macropore structure is an important cause of SRMCM destruction.
