Magnetoresistance (MR) and magnetic torque measurements are performed for a magnetic organic conductor TPP[Fe(Pc)(CN)2]2. The results suggest that the large negative MR is associated with a magnetic transition. This magnetic transition is considered as a metamagnetic transition of the localized Fe moments, and the MR effect is qualitatively explained by an analogy with the double exchange interaction system. The transport properties of organic τ-type conductors seem to be very clean as well as very dirty depending on what we observe. To clarify this problem, we studied temperature and magnetic field dependence of resistivity, ρ(T, B), in τ-(EDO-S,S-DMEDT-TTF)2(AuCl2)1+y. The properties that favor “probably dirty” are: i) stepwise ρa(T) increase below 20 K, which is suppressed by magnetic field, and ii) contrasted difference in ρ(T) as well as magnetization M(T) between field cooled (FC) and zero field cooled (ZFC). On the other hand, Shubnikov de Haas oscillations with very low Dingle temperature (TD=1.5 K) are typical of clean system. Based on these observations, we conclude this system changes from “dirty” to “clean” system by increase of magnetic field. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillations are measured in the organic conductor, κ-(BETS)2FeBr4. In the canted antiferromagnetic (CAF) phase (μ0H<μ0Hc=5.2 T), hysteresis is clearly observed in both the background resistance and oscillation amplitude. The analyses of the Dingle temperatures in the CAF phase show that some disorder is induced in the down sweep from the field above Hc. A possible origin of the excess scattering is discussed.
