Uterine leiomyomas (fibroids) are the most common non-cancerous tumors affecting women. Psychosocial stress is associated with fibroid risk and severity. The relationship between psychosocial stress and fibroid pathogenesis may involve alterations in microRNAs (miRNAs) although this has yet to be examined. We investigated associations between two psychosocial stress measures, a composite measure of recent stressful life events and perceived social status, with expression levels of 401 miRNAs in myometrium (n = 20) and fibroids (n = 44; 20 with paired fibroid and myometrium samples) among pre-menopausal women who underwent surgery for fibroid treatment. We used linear regressions to identify psychosocial stressors associated with miRNAs, adjusting for covariates (age, body mass index, race/ethnicity, and oral contraceptive use). The association between psychosocial stressors and miRNAs was considered statistically significant at an FDR p < 0.10 and showed a monotonic response (nominal p-trend < 0.05). In the myometrium, 21 miRNAs were significantly associated with a composite measure of recent stressful events, and two miRNAs were associated with perceived social status. No fibroid miRNAs were associated with either stress measure. Pathway analyses revealed miRNA-mRNA targets were significantly enriched (FDR p < 0.05) in pathways relevant to cancer/tumor development. Of the 74 differentially expressed miRNAs between myometrium and fibroids, miR-27a-5p and miR-301b were also associated with stress exposure. Our pilot analysis suggests that psychosocial stress is associated with myometrial miRNA expression and, thus, may have a role in the pathogenesis of fibroids from healthy myometrium. Backgroud: The recurrence rate of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is positively correlated with eosinophil infiltration. Increased interleukin (IL)-19 and eosinophil chemokine RANTES levels have been reported in patients with CRSwNP. This study aimed to clarify the role of IL-19 in mediating RANTES expression and eosinophilic infiltration in eosinophilic CRSwNP (Eos CRSwNP). Methods: Nasal tissue samples were obtained from patients with CRSwNP and controls. The expression of IL-19, its receptors, ECP, and RANTES in tissues was investigated. Primary human nasal epithelial cells (HNECs) and nasal polyp tissue blocks were cultured, then stimulated by IL-19; ERK phosphorylation, NF-κB pathway activation, RANTES level, eosinophils migration and infiltration were detected using RT-qPCR, ELISA, western blotting, HE, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence staining, confocal microscopy, and transwell migration assay. Results: The expression of IL-19 and its receptors (IL-20R1/IL-20R2), eosinophil cationic protein, and RANTES in nasal tissues from patients with Eos CRSwNP was significantly increased compared to that in non-Eos CRSwNP and control subjects. IL-19 co-localized with RANTES in nasal tissues and significantly elevated RANTES expression in HNECs. IL-19-blocking antibody and siRNA knockdown of IL-20R1 ameliorated the effect of IL-19 on RANTES secretion in HNECs. Moreover, IL-19-induced RANTES upregulation was associated with the activation of the ERK and NF-κB pathways. NF-κB activation was mediated by the ERK pathway in IL-19-treated HNECs, and IL-19 enhanced eosinophil infiltration in nasal polyp tissue blocks. Conclusions: Our findings indicate that IL-19 promotes RANTES expression via the ERK/NF-κB pathway in HNECs and is implicated in eosinophil infiltration in patients with Eos CRSwNP. Objective: This study aimed to explore the correlation between preoperative frailty and the risk of postoperative delirium (POD) in older patients undergoing hip fracture surgery. Methods: In total, 148 patients with hip fractures who were admitted to Tsinghua Changgung Hospital (Beijing, China) between January 2022 and January 2023 were involved in this study. Preoperative frailty scales were assessed, of which the CAM scale was postoperatively administered every morning and evening on days 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7. Binary logistic regression analysis was conducted to determine the correlation between preoperative frailty and the risk of POD. Results: Among 148 older patients with hip fractures, 71 (48.0%) were identified as preoperative frail and 77 (52.0%) as non-frail. The overall incidence of POD on day 7 was 24.3% (36/148), and preoperative frailty was associated with a significantly higher risk of POD compared with non-frailty (42.3% vs. 7.8%, P < 0.001). The binary logistic regression analysis revealed that preoperative frailty was noted as an independent risk factor for the risk of POD in older patients undergoing hip fracture surgery (P = 0.002). Conclusion: Preoperative frailty increased the risk of POD in older patients undergoing hip fracture surgery. Discussion: Preoperative assessment of frailty in geriatric hip surgery can timely identify potential risks and provide interventions targeting frailty factors to reduce the incidence of POD in older patients undergoing hip fracture surgery. The findings suggested that preoperative frailty could increase the risk of POD in older patients undergoing hip fracture surgery. Further research is necessary to determine whether perioperative interventions aimed at enhancing frailty can mitigate the risk of POD and improve prognosis in older patients undergoing hip fracture surgery. To investigate the influence of Mo addition and water vapor content on the high-temperature corrosion resistance of Ni-Al-based coatings, 0Mo, 5Mo, and 10Mo coatings were deposited by APS thermal spray onto stainless steels. The chlorine-induced corrosion test was conducted in an experimental environment simulating a biomass boiler. The results show that adding the Mo element lowers the coating's ability to resist corrosion without water vapor. The coating is more prone to peeling because Mo prevents the coating from eventually forming a protective oxide layer. Water vapor significantly speeds up the production of oxides and modifies their morphology and structure. The combined effects of Mo and water vapor increase the coating's ability to resist corrosion. The development of thick and protective Ni and Al oxide layers on the coated surface is aided by the acceleration of oxide production by water vapor and the alteration of oxide structure by Mo components. We study the Robin eigenvalue problem for the Laplace–Beltrami operator on Riemannian manifolds. Our first result is a comparison theorem for the second Robin eigenvalue on geodesic balls in manifolds whose sectional curvatures are bounded from above. Objective: Accurate prediction of preoperative occult peritoneal metastasis (OPM) is critical to selecting appropriate therapeutic regimen for gastric cancer (GC). Considering the clinical practicability, we develop and validate a visible nomogram that integrates the CT images and clinicopathological parameters for the individual preoperative prediction of OPM in GC. Methods: This retrospective study included 520 patients who underwent staged laparoscopic exploration or peritoneal lavage cytology (PLC) examination. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression results were used to screen model predictors and construct nomograms of OPM risk. The performance of the model was detected by using ROC, accuracy, and C-index. The bootstrap resampling method was considered internal validation of the model. The Delong test was used to evaluate the difference in AUC between the two models. Results: Grade 2 mural stratification, tumor thickness, and the Lauren classification diffuse were significant predictors of OPM (p < 0.05). The nomogram of these three factors (compared with the original model) showed a higher predictive effect (p < 0.001). The area under the curve (AUC) of the model was 0.830 (95% CI 0.788–0.873), and the internally validated AUC of 1000 bootstrap samples was 0.826 (95% CI 0.756–0.870). The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy were 76.0%, 78.8%, and 78.3%, respectively. Conclusions: CT phenotype–based nomogram demonstrates favorable discrimination and calibration, and it can be conveniently used for preoperative individual risk rating of OPM in GC. Clinical relevance statement: In this study, the preoperative OPM prediction model based on CT images (mural stratification, tumor thickness) combined with pathological parameters (the Lauren classification) showed excellent predictive ability in GC, and it is also suitable for clinicians to use rather than limited to professional radiologists. Background: Retinoblastoma is the most common intraocular malignancy in childhood. With the advanced management strategy, the globe salvage and overall survival have significantly improved, which proposes subsequent challenges regarding long-term surveillance and offspring screening. This study aimed to apply a deep learning algorithm to reduce the burden of follow-up and offspring screening. Methods: This cohort study includes retinoblastoma patients who visited Beijing Tongren Hospital from March 2018 to January 2022 for deep learning algorism development. Clinical-suspected and treated retinoblastoma patients from February 2022 to June 2022 were prospectively collected for prospective validation. Images from the posterior pole and peripheral retina were collected, and reference standards were made according to the consensus of the multidisciplinary management team. A deep learning algorithm was trained to identify "normal fundus", "stable retinoblastoma" in which specific treatment is not required, and "active retinoblastoma" in which specific treatment is required. The performance of each classifier included sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and cost-utility. Results: A total of 36,623 images were included for developing the Deep Learning Assistant for Retinoblastoma Monitoring (DLA-RB) algorithm. In internal fivefold cross-validation, DLA-RB achieved an area under curve (AUC) of 0.998 (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.986–1.000) in distinguishing normal fundus and active retinoblastoma, and 0.940 (95% CI 0.851–0.996) in distinguishing stable and active retinoblastoma. From February 2022 to June 2022, 139 eyes of 103 patients were prospectively collected. In identifying active retinoblastoma tumours from all clinical-suspected patients and active retinoblastoma from all treated retinoblastoma patients, the AUC of DLA-RB reached 0.991 (95% CI 0.970–1.000), and 0.962 (95% CI 0.915–1.000), respectively. The combination between ophthalmologists and DLA-RB significantly improved the accuracy of competent ophthalmologists and residents regarding both binary tasks. Cost-utility analysis revealed DLA-RB-based diagnosis mode is cost-effective in both retinoblastoma diagnosis and active retinoblastoma identification. Conclusions: DLA-RB achieved high accuracy and sensitivity in identifying active retinoblastoma from the normal and stable retinoblastoma fundus. It can be used to surveil the activity of retinoblastoma during follow-up and screen high-risk offspring. Compared with referral procedures to ophthalmologic centres, DLA-RB-based screening and surveillance is cost-effective and can be incorporated within telemedicine programs. Objectives: Whether paraspinal muscle degeneration is related to poor clinical outcomes after lumbar surgery is still indistinct, which limits its clinical application. This study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of paraspinal muscle morphology on functional status and re-operation after lumbar spinal surgery. Methods: A review of the literature was conducted using a total of 6917 articles identified from a search of PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science databases through September 2022. A full-text review of 140 studies was conducted based on criteria including an objective assessment of preoperative paraspinal muscle morphology including multifidus (MF), erector spinae (ES), and psoas major (PS) in addition to measuring its relationship to clinical outcomes including Oswestry disability index (ODI), pain and revision surgery. Meta-analysis was performed when required metrics could be calculated in ≥ three studies, otherwise vote counting model was a good alternative to show the effect direction of evidence. The standardized mean difference (SMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated. Results: A total of 10 studies were included in this review. Of them, five studies with required metrics were included in the meta-analysis. The meta-analysis suggested that higher preoperative fat infiltration (FI) of MF could predict higher postoperative ODI scores (SMD = 0.33, 95% CI 0.16–0.50, p = 0.0001). For postoperative pain, MF FI could also be an effective predictor for persistent low back pain after surgery (SMD = 0.17, 95% CI 0.02–0.31, p = 0.03). However, in the vote count model, limited evidence was presented for the prognostic effects of ES and PS on postoperative functional status and symptoms. In terms of revision surgery, there was conflicting evidence that FI of MF and ES could predict the incidence of revision surgery in the vote count model. Conclusion: The assessment of MF FI could be a viable method to stratify patients with lumbar surgery by the risk of severe functional disability and low back pain. By means of low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR), the transverse relaxation time (T2) signals of physically bound water in cement paste were monitored to indicate water content change and characterize the early-age hydration process. With the curves of the T2 signals and hydration time obtained, the hydration process could be divided into four typical periods using the null points of the second derivative curve, and the influences of water-cement ratio (w/c) and hydration heat regulating materials (HHRM) on hydration process were analyzed. The experimental results showed that the hydration rate of pure cement paste in accelerated period presented a positive correlation with w/c. Compared to pure cement paste, the addition of HHRM extended all four periods, and led to a much faster hydration rate in initial period as well as a slower rate in accelerated period. Objective: To determine the effect of endplate reduction on the final healing morphology and degenerative changes in intervertebral discs. Methods: Forty-eight patients with single-level thoracolumbar fractures with endplate injury were included. All patients underwent posterior reduction and pedicle screw fixation, and postoperative imaging was used to determine whether endplate reduction was successful. The healing morphology of the endplate was divided into three types: increased endplate curvature, irregular healing and traumatic Schmorl node. MRI was performed at baseline and at the last follow-up evaluation to observe changes in disc degeneration (disc height and nucleus pulposus signal) and Modic changes. Results: The reduction rate in the central area was significantly lower than that in the peripheral area (P = 0.017). In patients with successful reduction, 90.9% (20/22) of the endplates healed with increased curvature. In patients with an unsuccessful endplate reduction, 63.4% (26/41) of the endplates healed irregularly, and 34.1% (14/41) of the endplates formed traumatic Schmorl nodes. Endplate reduction was closely related to the final healing morphology of the endplate (P < 0.001), which had a significant protective effect on the degeneration of the intervertebral disc. At the last follow-up evaluation, there was no statistically significant correlation between different endplate healing morphologies and new Modic changes. Conclusions: The reduction rate in the central area is significantly lower than that in the peripheral area. Although all of the intervertebral discs corresponding to fractured endplates had degenerated to different degrees, successful endplate fracture reduction can obviously delay the degeneration of intervertebral discs. Biomass corrosion is a serious problem that affects the reliability and efficiency of biomass boilers. Ni-based coatings are a potential choice to combat biomass corrosion. In this study, the Ni-clad Al coatings were prepared by air plasma spraying, and the coatings were pre-oxidized in an air atmosphere at 700 °C for 6 h. The corrosion resistance of the as-sprayed and pre-oxidized Ni-clad Al coating exposed to KCl was studied at 600 °C for 168 h. The as-sprayed Ni-clad Al coating showed a much higher corrosion rate due to the porous nature of the coating and faster penetration of corrosion products. The pre-oxidation treatment significantly reduced the corrosion rate of the Ni-clad Al coating. The maximum weight gain of the pre-oxidized Ni-clad Al coating was reduced by 23.5% compared to the as-sprayed Ni-clad coating. After pre-oxidation, multiple NiO layers were formed, and voids were significantly reduced. The corrosion products on the surface of the coating changed from nickel-rich oxides to aluminum-rich oxides after the pre-oxidation treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The stability of the backfilling body–coal pillar–backfilling body (BPB) composite structure in coal mines is of great significance for the rock strata control after backfilling along both sides of the coal pillars. Uniaxial compression tests were conducted on different BPB composite samples to explore their acoustic emission (AE) characteristics and damage evolution process. The results show that the strength of the BPB composite samples is lower than that of the backfilling body sample of the same size. When increasing the coal element width, the peak stress of the BPB composite samples gradually decreases, the stress–strain curve changes from a single peak to multiple peaks, and the AE events transition from a uniform distribution to a regional concentrated distribution. The concentrated areas of AE energy during BPB composite sample failure are mainly distributed in the coal elements, and the maximum AE energy values all appear on the coal elements. The reduction of the backfilling body element width in the BPB composite sample reduces its binding force on the coal element. Larger coal element widths are thus associated with poorer sample integrity after uniaxial compression. The study of the AE ringing count clarifies the relationship between the strain and damage variable during uniaxial compression. The availability of graphene and other two-dimensional (2D) materials on a wide range of substrates forms the basis for large-area applications, such as graphene integration with silicon-based technologies, which requires graphene on silicon with outperforming carrier mobilities. However, 2D materials were only produced on limited archetypal substrates by chemical vapor deposition approaches. Reliable after-growth transfer techniques, that do not produce cracks, contamination, and wrinkles, are critical for layering 2D materials onto arbitrary substrates. Here we show that, by incorporating oxhydryl groups-containing volatile molecules, the supporting films can be deformed under heat to achieve a controllable conformal contact, enabling the large-area transfer of 2D films without cracks, contamination, and wrinkles. The resulting conformity with enhanced adhesion facilitates the direct delamination of supporting films from graphene, providing ultraclean surfaces and carrier mobilities up to 1,420,000 cm2 V−1 s−1 at 4 K. Reliable transfer techniques are critical for the integration of 2D materials with arbitrary substrates. Here, the authors describe a method to transfer 4-inch and A4-sized defect-free graphene films onto rigid and flexible substrates with controllable conformal contact, leading to improved electrical properties and uniformity. In view of the high toxicity and widespread availability, it is of great importance to develop accurate, sensitive, and convenient assays for fluoride ion (F−) detection. Herein, a ratiometric fluorescent system is established for point-of-care testing (POCT) of F− with a smartphone as analyzer. The sensing system of calcein-QDs-Eu3+ contains two fluorescent probes of calcein (green emission) and ZnCdSe/ZnS QDs (red emission). The sensing system only presents red emission in that the calcein emission is quenched due to the combination between calcein and Eu3+. When F− is introduced, the fluorescence of calcein is recovered due to the stronger interaction between F− and Eu3+, which changes the emission from red to green. The ratiometric strategy offers an obvious fluorescence color change of the system, which eliminates interference and improves the detection accuracy. Specifically, the sensing system has excellent selectivity in that Eu3+ is more inclined to bind with F− rather than other anions. The developed assay was further used to prepare a test paper and hydrogel for POCT. To further improve the detection sensitivity and realize quantitative analysis, a smartphone installed with a color scan app is integrated as signal reader and analyzer, which is used for POCT of F− in real samples, showing great application potential in environmental protection and food safety evaluation. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is a minimally invasive procedure for removing renal calculi, while a large number of patients experience acute moderate-to-severe pain despite the analgesia provided. This study aimed to explore the risk factors for postoperative pain after PCNL, which may provide a novel perspective to refine the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) program and to improve clinical outcomes. The clinical data of 331 patients who underwent PCNL in our hospital from September 2020 to February 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The pain intensity was assessed every 4 h until 24 h post-surgery. According to the visual analog scale (VAS) score, patients were divided into two groups: mild or no pain group (VAS score, 0–3) and moderate-to-severe pain group (VAS score, 4–10). The pre-, peri-, and post-operative data were collected and analyzed. The indicators with statistically significant differences were selected, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was employed to determine the risk factors for postoperative pain after PCNL. Among 331 patients, 221 patients had moderate-to-severe pain and the incidence rate was 66.77%. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the independent risk factors for moderate-to-severe pain after PCNL were the diameter of the renal calculus (odds ratio (OR) = 6.23, 95% confidence interval (CI) 2.50–15.56, P = 0.001), the number of renal calculi (OR = 15.892, 95% CI 7.721–32.711, P < 0.01), the presence of residual calculi (OR = 1.780, 95% CI 0.897–3.533, P = 0.01), and operation time (OR = 1.033, 95% CI 1.020–1.046, P < 0.01). The diameter of the renal calculus, the number of renal calculi, the presence of residual calculi, and operation time were significant predictors of postoperative pain after PCNL. Irradiation increases the yield stress and embrittles light water reactor (LWR) pressure vessel steels. In this study, we demonstrate some of the potential benefits and risks of using machine learning models to predict irradiation hardening extrapolated to low flux, high fluence, extended life conditions. The machine learning training data included the Irradiation Variable for lower flux irradiations up to an intermediate fluence, plus the Belgian Reactor 2 and Advanced Test Reactor 1 for very high flux irradiations, up to very high fluence. Notably, the machine learning model predictions for the high fluence, intermediate flux Advanced Test Reactor 2 irradiations are superior to extrapolations of existing hardening models. The successful extrapolations showed that machine learning models are capable of capturing key intermediate flux effects at high fluence. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nano-sized membrane bound complexes that have been identified as a mean for intercellular communication between cells and tissues both in physiological and pathological conditions. These vesicles contain numerous molecules involved in signal transduction including microRNAs, mRNAs, DNA, proteins, lipids, and cytokines and can affect the behavior of recipient cells. Female reproduction is dependent on extremely fine-tuned endocrine regulation, and EVs may represent an added layer that contributes to this regulation. This narrative review article provides an update on the research of the role of EVs in female reproduction including folliculogenesis, fertilization, embryo quality, and implantation. Parental age at time of offspring conception is increasing in developed countries. Advanced male age is associated with decreased reproductive success and increased risk of adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes in offspring. Mechanisms for these male age effects remain unclear, but changes in sperm DNA methylation over time is one potential explanation. We assessed genome-wide methylation of sperm DNA from 47 semen samples collected from male participants of couples seeking infertility treatment. We report that higher male age was associated with lower likelihood of fertilization and live birth, and poor embryo development (p < 0.05). Furthermore, our multivariable linear models showed male age was associated with alterations in sperm methylation at 1698 CpGs and 1146 regions (q < 0.05), which were associated with > 750 genes enriched in embryonic development, behavior and neurodevelopment among others. High dimensional mediation analyses identified four genes (DEFB126, TPI1P3, PLCH2 and DLGAP2) with age-related sperm differential methylation that accounted for 64% (95% CI 0.42–0.86%; p < 0.05) of the effect of male age on lower fertilization rate. Our findings from this modest IVF population provide evidence for sperm methylation as a mechanism of age-induced poor reproductive outcomes and identifies possible candidate genes for mediating these effects. In order to achieve information visualization, realize good interaction between users and information, and meet the needs of users, this study first studied the interaction behavior of the user when using the smartphone was studied, and analyzed the visual factors of the smartphone interface were analyzed from the user sensory interaction level, and the user operation mode level, from the expression of visual form to the commonly used interface mode and User Interface (UI) component space. Low-level laser irradiation (LLLI) modulates a set of biological effects in many cell types such as fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and stem cells. However, no study to date has reported the effects of LLLI on retinal pigment epithelia (RPE) cells. The aim of this study was to investigate whether LLLI could enhance the proliferation of RPE cells and increase the expression of RPE functional genes/proteins. Human ARPE-19 cells were seeded overnight and treated with 8 J/cm(2) of LLLI. Cell proliferation was measured by CCK8 assay and cell cycle distribution was evaluated by FACS. The transcription of cell cycle-specific genes and RPE functional genes was quantified by RT-PCR. Moreover, the expression of ZO-1 and CRALBP were evaluated by immunostaining. A dose of 8 J/cm(2) of LLLI significantly increased proliferation and promoted cell cycle progression while upregulating the transcription of CDK4 and CCND1 and decreasing the transcription of CDKN2A, CDKN2C, and CDKN1B in human ARPE-19 cells. Additionally, LLLI enhanced the expression of ZO-1 and CRALBP in human ARPE-19 cells. In conclusion, LLLI could enhance the proliferative ability of human ARPE-19 cells by modulating cyclin D1, CDK4, and a group of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. Akt2 overexpression correlates with chemoresistance of colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the cellular functions and precise signals elicited by Akt2 in LSCC have not been elucidated. Here, we transfected a CRC cell line HCT116 with Akt-2 targeted shRNA in order to establish a cell line with Akt2 knockdown. In vitro experiments showed that knockdown Akt2 in HCT116 cells was associated with decrease in cell proliferation as well as enhanced cell apoptosis. Furthermore, our results demonstrated that Akt2 knockdown correlated with elevated chemosensitivity of HCT116 cells to paclitaxel. Importantly, we found that knockdown of AKt2 resulted in downregulation of MDR-1 and MRP-1. Our findings may lead to a better understanding of the biological effect of Akt2 and may provide mechanistic insights for developing potential therapeutic strategies targeting AKt2. Using the maximal regularity theory for quasilinear parabolic systems, we prove two stability results of complex hyperbolic space under the curvature-normalized Ricci flow in complex dimensions two and higher. The first result is on a closed manifold. The second result is on a complete noncompact manifold. To prove both results, we fully analyze the structure of the Lichnerowicz Laplacian on complex hyperbolic space. A ratiometric fluorescent nanoprobe consisting of ssDNA-templated silver nanoclusters (DNA-AgNCs) as dual fluorophore has been constructed for highly sensitive and selective detection of cystein (Cys) and histidine (His). The DNA-AgNCs displays dual emission in that photoexcitation at 470 nm results in weak-green fluorescence peaking at 560 nm, while excitation at 550 nm gives strong red fluorescence with a peak at 595 nm. It is found that copper ions (Cu2+) enhance the green fluorescence but quenche the red fluorescence. A ratiometric nanoprobe for Cys (or His) is designed that is based on the competitive interaction of Cys (or His), Cu2+ and DNA-AgNCs. Cys can be distinguished from His by adding Ni2+ as the masking agent, andr His can be distinguished from Cys by adding N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) as the masking agent, respectively. The limits of detection are 5.1 and 4.5 nM for Cys and His, respectively. Additionally, recent studies suggest a strong correlation between mural stratification based on CT and diffuse GC. This study aims to investigate potential prognostic factors of MSS diffuse GC using mural stratification and to develop a risk assessment model.This retrospective study included 131 patients with MSS diffuse GC who underwent radical surgery. Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was used to identify model predictors and construct a nomogram for overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) risks. The model’s performance was evaluated using ROC, accuracy, and C-index. Internal validation of the model was conducted using the bootstrap resampling method.Among 131 cases, 60 cases (45.8%) exhibited grade 2 mural stratification, which correlated with a poorer tumor prognosis and a more invasive phenotype. Furthermore, a nomogram for predicting OS and RFS prognosis was established based on multivariate results (age, extranodal invasion, mural stratification, and/or P53). The nomogram demonstrated excellent performance, with an AUC of 0.859 (95% CI 0.794–0.924) for OS and 0.859 (95% CI 0.789–0.929) for RFS.
