The shuttle-based storage/retrieval system (SBS/RS) is a new type of automatic warehouse system. More and more enterprises choose it because of its dense storage structure, small footprint, high efficiency, and many other advantages. Each enterprise has different requirements for system efficiency, the number of storage units, and the size of the warehouse. It makes sense to study the design of the minimum cost Shuttle-Based Storage/Retrieval System under the limitation of warehouse space size to meet enterprise requirements on the number of cargos and enterprise needs on system efficiency. An optimization model to minimize the system cost is established, and a heuristic algorithm is designed in this paper. Through the experiment, we identified that different system selection schemes and the configuration of facilities in the system under different throughput capacity requirements. The relationship between the system's total cost, unit cost, and design scheme of the system is found. This study can guide designers and planners to design a more reasonable system. The clinical significance of the combination of neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) is unclear. This study investigated the predictive value of pretreatment NLR (pre-NLR) combined with pretreatment PLR (pre-PLR) for the survival and prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). A total of 765 patients with non-metastatic NPC from two hospitals were retrospectively analyzed. The pre-NLR-PLR groups were as follows: HRG, high pre-NLR and high pre-PLR. MRG, high pre-NLR and low pre-PLR or low pre-NLR and high pre-PLR. LRG, neither high pre-NLR nor high pre-PLR. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to identify the cutoff-value and discriminant performance of the model. We compared survival rates and factors affecting the prognosis among different groups. The 5-year overall survival (OS), local regional recurrence-free survival (LRRFS) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) of NPC patients in HRG were significantly poorer than those in MRG and LRG. The pre-NLR-PLR score was positively correlated with T stage, clinical stage, ECOG, and pathological classification. Multivariate cox regression analysis showed that pre-NLR-PLR scoring system, ECOG, pre-ALB, pre-CRP and pre-LMR were independent risk factors affecting 5-year OS, LRRFS and DMFS. The ROC curve showed that area under the curve (AUC) values of pre-NLR-PLR of 5-year OS, LRRFS and DMFS were higher than those of pre-NLR and pre-PLR. pre-NLR-PLR is an independent risk factor for the prognosis of NPC. The pre-NLR-PLR scoring system can be used as an individualized clinical assessment tool to predict the prognosis of patients with non-metastatic NPC more accurately and easily. Carbendazim (CBD) is widely used as a fungicide that acts as a pesticide in farming to prevent crop diseases. However, CBD can remain on crops for a long time. When consumed by humans and animals, it produces a range of toxic symptoms and poses a serious threat to their health. Therefore, the detection of CBD is necessary. Traditional assay strategies for CBD detection, although sensitive and practical, can hardly achieve fast, robust monitoring during food processing and daily life. Here, we designed a novel electrochemical sensor for CBD detection. In this method, iron oxyhydroxide nanomaterial (β-FeOOH) was first prepared by hydrothermal method. Then, a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) layer was electropolymerized on the surface using CBD as the template and resorcinol (RC) as the functional monomer. The synergistic interaction between β-FeOOH and MIP endows the MIP/β-FeOOH/CC-based electrochemical sensor with high specificity and sensitivity. Under optimal conditions, the MIP/β-FeOOH/CC-based sensor showed a wide linear range of 39 pM–80 nM for CBD and a detection limit as low as 25 pM. Leg pain can be caused by both lumbar spinal disease and chronic venous disorder (CVD) of leg veins, but their clinical differences have not been thoroughly investigated. This study aimed to determine the incidence of CVD among patients visiting a spine center for leg pain. A total of 196 cases underwent ultrasound examination with a diagnosis rate were 85.7% (168 cases). CVD-diagnosed cases were divided into two groups based on the severity of lumbar spinal disease. The Clinical grades, symptom areas, and symptom types were compared. The differences in symptom improvements with vasoactive medication were also assessed. The most common symptom area was calf then the foot in CVD, while calf then thigh in lumbar spinal disease. Tingling-paresthesia was the most common symptom type for both, with pain and cramping similarly common in CVD and pain more common than cramping in lumbar spinal disease. Considering that the majority of CVD cases (78.6%) had minor cutaneous changes and almost half of cases (41.7%) had refluxes only in tributaries, significant differences in symptom improvement in CVD-dominant group suggested that early-stage venous reflux is a symptomatic disease and a possible cause of leg pain and other symptoms. Objective: The influence of diabetes mellitus (DM) on mortality following lower extremity amputation (LEA) remains controversial. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to determine the influence of DM on long-term mortality (LTM) and short-term mortality (STM) after amputation. Materials and methods: The Medline, the Cochrane library, and Embase databases were searched. The primary and secondary outcomes were LTM and STM following amputation. One-year and 30-day all-cause mortality after amputation were considered as LTM and STM, respectively. A random-effects model was utilized to pool results. To evaluate the stability of results, subgroup analyses and sensitivity analyses were conducted. Results: Twenty-three cohort studies with a total of 58,219 patients were included, among which 31,750 (54.5%) patients had DM. The mean score of included studies evaluated by Newcastle–Ottawa Scale was 7.65, indicating moderate to high quality. The pooled results showed no significant difference in 1-year LTM (risk ratio [RR], 0.96; 95% CI 0.86–1.07) after amputation. However, 3-year (RR, 1.22; 95% CI 1.01–1.47) and 5-year (RR, 1.18; 95% CI 1.07–1.31) LTMs of DM patients were obviously higher than that of NDM (non-diabetes mellitus) patients. The STM of the DM group was significantly lower than the NDM group (RR, 0.80; 95% CI 0.64–0.98). Conclusions: The current study revealed that DM patients had an obvious lower STM following LEA, but the risk of DM on LTM after amputation was gradually increased with time. In the present inventory management, the manager must determine an appropriate order quantity, while ensuring that the product has high potential profitability. However, the following issues may be encountered when estimating product profitability: (i) a newly launched product may belong to high uncertainty demand; (ii) the market demand is obtained from multiple samples; (iii) the sampling error probably leads to overestimating profitability. To explore the above issues, our study developed an estimation method based on multiple samples for assessing the conservative profitability of a newsboy-type product with exponentially distributed demand. Note that profitability is defined as the maximum probability of achieving a target profit. First, we adopted an achievable capacity index (ACI) with a streamlined form to measure the extent of profitability. The unbiased and efficient estimator of ACI and its statistical properties were also derived. Then, the lower confidence bound of ACI (LCBA) was derived to express the conservative profitability of the newsboy-type product. The LCBA values for various number of groups, sample sizes, confidence levels, and estimates were tabulated. These generic tables can guide the direction of decision-making in some policies. For example, by looking up these tables, the retailers can decide which items are worth selling, and the manufacturers can decide to accept or reject the contract renewal of production orders. Considering the impact of high cost for sampling, the minimum data size requirement meeting an acceptable criterion is also presented. Finally, a real-world example regarding the production order of vacuum molding products was performed to illustrate the practicality of our method. The transient flow characteristics in inclined tunnel fire considerably influence occupant evacuation. We conducted brine water experiments to investigate transient smoke movement characteristics and their evolution into multiple final flow states in an inclined tunnel fire. The flow pattern exhibited a downward trend was the expected flow pattern. The experiment results indicated that before longitudinal mechanical force was activated in the inclined tunnel, the thickness of the current was nearly uniform. When longitudinal mechanical force was activated, the propagation velocity of the upstream longitudinal current declined, and then the back-layering reached its maximum length. During the naturally ventilated stage, the propagation velocity of the downstream and upstream current were approximately proportional to the cubic root of the source buoyancy flux, respectively. In the longitudinally ventilated stage, the modified Richardson number R i ′ defined as Eq. (16) were used to analyze the head propagation velocity of both the downstream and upstream currents, and then the empirical models were proposed based on the experimental data. Multiple final flow states existed even under identical longitudinal force and source buoyancy flux; distinct steady flow states were resulted from different initial conditions, that is, distinct longitudinal force activation times. Ascorbic acid (AsA) plays an important role in scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reducing photoinhibition in plants, especially under stress. The function of SlGGP which encodes the key enzyme GDP-L-galactose phosphorylase in AsA synthetic pathway is relatively clear. However, there is another gene SlGGP-LIKE that encodes this enzyme in tomato, and there are few studies on it, especially under salt stress. In this study, we explored the function of this gene in tomato salt stress response using transgenic lines overexpressing SlGGP-LIKE (OE). Under normal conditions, overexpressing SlGGP-LIKE can increase the content of reduced AsA and the ratio of AsA/ DHA (dehydroascorbic acid), as well as the level of xanthophyll cycle. Under salt stress, compared with the wild-type plants (WT), the OE lines can maintain higher levels of reduced AsA. In addition, OE lines also have higher levels of reduced GSH (glutathione) and total GSH, higher ratios of AsA/DHA and GSH/oxidative GSH (GSSR), and higher level of xanthophyll cycle. Therefore, the OE lines are more tolerant to salt stress, with higher photosynthetic activity, higher antioxidative enzyme activities, higher content of D1 protein, lower production rate of ROS, and lighter membrane damage. A simple multifunctional Schiff base fluorescence probe (E)-N′-(2,4-dihydroxybenzylidene)-2-hydroxybenzohydrazide (NDH) was designed and synthesized by the reaction of 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde and salicylhydrazide. NDH acts as a "off–on" logic gate fluorescence probe for Al3+, Zn2+ and La3+ ions, providing different colors and detection limits of 1.22 μM, 2.47 μM and 2.94 μM, respectively. Moreover, the binding stoichiometry of NDH to Zn2+ was 2:1, but to other metal ions was 1:1, and was confirmed by Job' plot, 1H NMR and ESI–MS. Furthermore, the probe NDH was applied to detect Al3+, Zn2+ and La3+ ions in real water samples and Hela cells. This work might provide a new evidence that the fluorescent probe with "off–on" logic gate can serve as an economical and efficient strategy for simultaneous sensing multiple metal ions. The rapid growth of the elderly population has led to an increase in the number of people with dementia. As the disease progresses, dementia patients will suffer from the abnormal phenomenon of disorientation with memory loss which will not only cause a decline in the patient's ability to take care of themselves, but also affect their quality of life and safety. On the other hand, when this happens, the caregiver is prone to mental exhaustion, excessive stress, and regrettable events. To avoid such a serious social problem and to reduce the burden on the health care system, a good coordination mechanism needs to be established quickly and effectively. Based on Information Communication Technology, this study applies multi-hop transmission path planning and clustering technology to construct a service mechanism to assist volunteers in finding patient with dementia (PWD). It simulates the loss situation and conducts stress testing to optimize the search mechanism to achieve the goals of immediacy, accuracy, and diversity, and to ensure the effectiveness of search mechanism and enhance the quality of dementia care. Finally, in a simulated test environment, a range of 1000 × 1000 meters was established, and the coordinates of volunteers, patients with dementia, and gateways were randomly generated for verification. The results verify that this method can reduce the average path of volunteers and reduce the waste of unnecessary volunteers compared with the traditional cooperative search method. Cylindrical gear with variable hyperbolic circular arc tooth trace (VH-CATT) is a new type of gear. Sliding wear is the main mode of the surface failure of multiple mechanical parts. Both the lubrication state and contact temperature considerably influence wear characteristics, which may aggravate the transmission performance of gear pairs. Wear, contact temperature, as well as lubrication states are jointly explored. Therefore, an integrated wear prediction model was proposed through taking into account flash contact temperature and surface roughness of VH-CATT cylindrical gears in mixed elastohydrodynamic lubrication. According to the equivalent ellipse contact model of VH-CATT cylindrical gears and tooth surface equation, normal curvature and velocity relations for VH-CATT cylindrical gears were observed, and the normal meshing force was obtained through the consideration of load sharing coefficients and quality grades. Flash contact temperature was estimated by using the literature. This study proposes analytical solutions for investigating how various surface roughness, operation, and geometric parameters affect asperity contact ratio (ACR), asperity contact pressure (ACP), flash contact temperature (FCT), as well as wear depth (WD) related to driving gears. ACR, ACP, FCT, as well as WD initially decrease and then increase from engaging-in to engaging-out processes. The minimum occurs at the pitch point. The WD declines as module, cutter radius, and rotational velocity increase while augmenting when surface roughness and torques increase. The maximum and minimum wear depths in driving gears occur at the dedendum and pitch point, respectively. Its overall wear is reduced by 23.16 % compared to the wear of spur gears. The results are valuable for the studies of tooth pitting, wear resistance, and fatigue life improvement for VH-CATT cylindrical gear. The generation and propagation of vortex beams in real free space can be distorted by factors such as atmospheric turbulence and imperfections in the optics, resulting in wavefront distortions and negative effects on the interferogram. To correct the wavefront aberration introduced by the errors, an aberration correction method for the interference of vortex beams, based on the differential evolution algorithm, is proposed. The proposed method can derive the aberrations and correct them in vortex interference by compensating for the vortex wavefront with high accuracy and can be used in the presence of noise. The simulation and experimental results showed that the systematic errors introduced in the vortex light interference can be effectively corrected by introducing the compensated phase calculated into the optical system, resulting in a more ideal interference light intensity and recovered wavefront. This method can effectively improve the accuracy of various precision measurements based on the vortex interference principle and provide a new concept for aberration correction in interference of vortex beams. The optimal oxygen concentration is unclear for normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) of livers from donation after circulatory death (DCD). Our purposes were to investigate the effect of air-ventilated NMP on the DCD liver, analyze the underlying mechanism and select the targets to predict liver functional recovery with NMP. NMP was performed using the NMP system with either air ventilation or oxygen ventilation for 2 h in the rat liver following warm ischemia and cold-storage preservation. Proteomics and metabolomics were used to reveal the significant molecular networks. The bioinformation analysis was validated by administering peroxisome proliferator activator receptor-γ (PPARγ) antagonist and agonist via perfusion circuit in the air-ventilated NMP. Results showed that air-ventilated NMP conferred a better functional recovery and a less inflammatory response in the rat DCD liver; integrated proteomics and metabolomics analysis indicated that intrahepatic docosapentaenoic acid downregulation and upregulation of cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) expression and activity were associated with DCD liver functional recovery with air-ventilated NMP; PPARγ antagonist worsened liver function under air-oxygenated NMP whereas PPARγ agonist played the opposite role. In conclusion, air-ventilated NMP confers a better liver function from DCD rats through the DAP-PPARγ-CYP2E1 axis; CYP2E1 activity provides a biomarker of liver functional recovery from DCD. Purpose: To present fully automated DL-based prostate cancer detection system for prostate MRI. Methods: MRI scans from two institutions, were used for algorithm training, validation, testing. MRI-visible lesions were contoured by an experienced radiologist. All lesions were biopsied using MRI-TRUS-guidance. Lesions masks, histopathological results were used as ground truth labels to train UNet, AH-Net architectures for prostate cancer lesion detection, segmentation. Algorithm was trained to detect any prostate cancer ≥ ISUP1. Detection sensitivity, positive predictive values, mean number of false positive lesions per patient were used as performance metrics. Results: 525 patients were included for training, validation, testing of the algorithm. Dataset was split into training (n = 368, 70%), validation (n = 79, 15%), test (n = 78, 15%) cohorts. Dice coefficients in training, validation sets were 0.403, 0.307, respectively, for AHNet model compared to 0.372, 0.287, respectively, for UNet model. In validation set, detection sensitivity was 70.9%, PPV was 35.5%, mean number of false positive lesions/patient was 1.41 (range 0–6) for UNet model compared to 74.4% detection sensitivity, 47.8% PPV, mean number of false positive lesions/patient was 0.87 (range 0–5) for AHNet model. In test set, detection sensitivity for UNet was 72.8% compared to 63.0% for AHNet, mean number of false positive lesions/patient was 1.90 (range 0–7), 1.40 (range 0–6) in UNet, AHNet models, respectively. Conclusion: We developed a DL-based AI approach which predicts prostate cancer lesions at biparametric MRI with reasonable performance metrics. Immunochromatography testing strips (ICTs) promise to become the point-of-care test format for early diagnosis due to their convenience, low cost, and simplification. However, the insufficient signal intensity and limited sensitivity of this format hamper their application. Herein, we overcame these limitations by integrating rod-like ferric oxyhydroxide (β-FeOOH) nanoparticles with ICTs. By varying the concentration of PEI, a one-pot, mild-temperature hydrolysis method was adapted for the synthesis and morphology regulation of β-FeOOH nanorod. Due to the excellent enzyme-like catalytic activity toward peroxidase substrates (TMB) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), the β-FeOOH nanorod in ICTs served as a signal generator and the nanozyme for signal amplification. The proof-of-concept work was performed for the detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). A two fold improvement of detection sensitivity was achieved compared to the sensitivity of conventional Au NPs-based ICTs. In this paper, we obtained nitrogen and phosphorus co-doped carbon dots through a hydrothermal method using o-phenylenediamine and citric acid in a 40% phosphoric acid environment. The carbon dots emitted fluorescence at 476 nm under excitation at 408 nm and exhibited good selectivity and high sensitivity towards mercury ions. These carbon dots showed excellent dispersibility in water and maintained stable fluorescence even in high concentration salt environments. The interaction between mercury ions and functional groups on the carbon dots surface through electrostatic interaction resulted in static quenching. Simultaneously, by detecting the lifetime and transient absorption spectra of the carbon dots, we observed that the coordination of mercury ions with the carbon dots broadened the band structure of the carbon dots, and the existing photoinduced electron transfer process increased the non-radiative transition channel. The combined effect of dynamic quenching and static quenching significantly reduced the fluorescence intensity of the carbon dots at 476 nm. The carbon dots exhibited linear detection of mercury ions in the range of 0.01-1 µM, with a detection limit as low as 0.0245 µM. In terms of practical water environmental detection applications, these carbon dots were able to effectively detect mercury ions in tap water and lake water, demonstrating their broad application prospects in the field of environmental metal analysis. The anisotropic mechanical and acoustic emission characteristics of oil shale from room temperature to 600 °C were studied using a real-time high-temperature uniaxial rock testing machine independently developed by the Taiyuan University of Technology and an acoustic emission test system. The results indicate that the elastic modulus and compressive strength of the oil shale perpendicular to bedding direction first decrease and then increase with increasing temperature from room temperature to 600 °C and reach their minimum values at 400 °C, showing the characteristics of first softening and then hardening. The threshold temperature of oil shale mechanical parameters in the direction perpendicular to bedding direction is 400 °C. The strength of oil shale parallel to the bedding direction decreases sharply at 100 and 400 °C due to free water evaporation and kerogen pyrolysis, respectively. The threshold temperatures of oil shale mechanical parameters parallel to bedding direction are 100 and 400 °C. The micro-SEM and CT analyses conclude that the transformation of the mineral structure changes the mechanical parameters of oil shale perpendicular to bedding, and the evolution of the fracture structure dominates the change in the mechanical parameters of oil shale parallel to bedding. In this paper, we consider a set optimization problem with a partial order relation, which is defined by Minkowski difference. By using the image space analysis, we establish the relationships among the set optimization problem, a vector optimization problem and a set-valued optimization with vector criterion related to the image of the set optimization problem. In addition, two nonlinear regular weak separation functions are proposed for the set optimization problem. Based on the two nonlinear regular weak separation functions, saddle point sufficient optimality conditions, gap functions and error bounds for the set optimization problem, are obtained. Finally, we explore some applications of the obtained results to investigate robust multi-objective optimization problems and verify the validity of the results in shortest path problems with data uncertainty and multi-criteria traffic network equilibrium problems with interval-valued cost functions. In this study, a metamaterial comprising an N-type strip (NS) and a double split-ring resonator (DSRR) has been investigated, which is the first to exhibit the broadband electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) effect and dual-band transmission-type polarization conversion under microwaves. The transmittance coefficient reaches a maximum value of 0.94 at 13.10 GHz, while the bandwidth of the transparency window is 4.96 GHz. At 9.48 GHz and 14.36 GHz, almost all the transmitted co-polarization waves are converted into cross-polarization waves at the polarization conversion ratios of 95% and 94%, respectively. The surface current distributions have been used to analyze the phenomena of EIT and transmission-type polarization conversion. The group delay value (15.35 ps) is calculated to exhibit the slow light effect at the transparency peak. Accurate evaluation of liver steatosis is required from brain-dead donors (BDDs) with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Our purposes were to investigate expression and regulation of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) expression in livers from human and rat after brain death, and further evaluate its potential application. NAFLD and brain death models were established in rats. LX2 cells were cultured under hypoxia/reoxygenation. CTGF protein and mRNA levels were measured in liver samples from BDDs of human and rat by immunohistochemistry and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. YAP-regulated CTGF expression was investigated in LX2 cells via YAP small interfering RNA and Verteporfin treatment. Blood CTGF level from BDDs was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. After brain death, CTGF, transforming growth factor-β and YAP were overexpressed in non-alcoholic steatotic liver, whereas CTGF was downregulated in non-steatotic liver. Time-series analysis revealed that CTGF and YAP expression was comparable, as confirmed by inhibited YAP expression in LX2 cells. CTGF level and NAFLD activity were linearly correlated. CTGF expression and regulation differ between non-steatosis and nonalcoholic steatosis livers from BDDs. CTGF may be an important factor to evaluate graft quality from BDDs with NAFLD. The main goal of this work is to develop an economical, portable, disposable, and reliable point of care paper biosensor based on visualization, which can be used to detect viruses, bacteria, and proteins. However, the sensitivity of immunochromatography test (ICT) strips based on nitrocellulose to target detection has always been a problem. Here, we use an electrospun nitrocellulose (ENC) fiber membrane instead of traditional nitrocellulose fiber membrane to construct ICT strips for early pregnancy detection. By proper selection of the diameter of the ENC fiber to adjust the pore size, porosity, and morphology of the membrane, ICT strips with low flow rate and high protein loading were obtained. Based on these properties, a convenient and sensitive method for the colorimetric determination of human chorionic gonadotropin was developed. Under the optimal conditions, the detection limit of ICT based on ENC membrane is 10 mIU mL−1 (S/N = 3), the linear detection range is 5–1000 mIU mL−1, and the linear relationship is Y = 0.0434 X − 0.0136 (R2 = 0.9802). This study examines the dynamic control of an M/M/2 machine repair system with R operating machines, S standbys, and two unreliable repairmen, wherein standbys are subject to switching failures. We apply the matrix analytic method to derive explicit expressions of the stationary probability distributions as well as matrix expressions of the system performance measures. We construct a cost model and determine the optimal dynamic operating policy to minimize the expected cost function per unit time. Sensitivity analysis is conducted using numerical examples. The results of sensitivity analysis indicate that the optimal thresholds and corresponding minimum expected cost increase as the number of operating machines or standbys increases. Moreover, the minimum expected cost is sensitive to the mean arrival and repair rates. The results provide managers with decision reference for productivity improvement and cost reduction. Machining-induced residual stress is a leading cause of machining distortion. Many previous studies have been performed to model the relationship between various impact factors and machined residual stress, such as cutting parameters, lubrication, and cooling conditions etc. While few analytic studies examining the size effect of tool edge radius on residual stress have been performed. In order to better understanding the size effect of tool edge radius on machining-induced residual stress, thermomechanical coupling loading and unloading operations are applied to obtain the machining-induced residual stress on the basis of modeling mechanical loads and thermal loads for cutting with edge radiused cutters. Verification experimental results indicate that the proposed model is effective in judging and analyzing the characteristics of the residual stress profile beneath the machined surface in consideration of the tool edge radius effect. By case studies of Ti-6Al-4V turning those based on the proposed model, it was found that the value of surface residual stress increased with the tool edge radius changed from 0.01 mm to 0.03 mm, and the increased percentage of stresses in cutting and cutting width directions could be 132.6% and 191.1%, respectively. While the peak value of the compressive stress and the depth of the peak value decreased gradually, and the decreased percentages of the peak value of the compressive stress in cutting and cutting width directions are 77.8% and 88.6%. In this paper, we consider bang–bang property for a kind of time-varying time optimal control problem of null controllable heat equation. Objectives: To validate a method for performing myocardial segmentation based on coronary anatomy using coronary CT angiography (CCTA).Methods: Coronary artery-based myocardial segmentation (CAMS) was developed for use with CCTA. To validate and compare this method with the conventional American Heart Association (AHA) classification, a single coronary occlusion model was prepared and validated using six pigs. The unstained occluded coronary territories of the specimens and corresponding arterial territories from CAMS and AHA segmentations were compared using slice-by-slice matching and 100 virtual myocardial columns.Results: CAMS more precisely predicted ischaemic area than the AHA method, as indicated by 95% versus 76% (p < 0.001) of the percentage of matched columns (defined as percentage of matched columns of segmentation method divided by number of unstained columns in the specimen). Special flame merging behaviour and complex combustion characteristics can be formed under the coupling effect of tangential flow and heat transfer of multiple pool fires (MPFs) in a shaft. In this study, quadruple pool fires (DPFs) evolutionary experiments in shaft were carried out, and the influence of pooled spacing and side slit width of the shaft on flame merging behaviour were analyzed. The primary influencing mechanism of merged flame evolution was expounded from heat transfer and thermal feedback between fire sources. The shape of conical merged fire whirls that can completely fill the gap between the oil pools with flame is confirmed, and its cone angle is determined by the position of outer edge of oil pools. In the formation of merged fire whirls, the critical conditions are that the distance between fire sources is less than three times the pool diameter and the width of side slits is 1/4 of the side length of the shaft, respectively. Compared with the single pool fire whirls with the same liquid surface area, the thermal flow field of DPFs in shaft is relatively unfavorable to the formation of fire whirls. The formation time of merged fire whirls is nearly five times that of the single pool fire whirls, and the flame height can be reduced by nearly half. The evolution process of the DPFs that can form merged fire whirls exhibits the multi-stage morphological characteristics over time and all of these stages possess different heat transfer mechanisms. Before forming the merged fire whirls, intermittent merging among pool fires is a necessary stage. And the duration of this stage is relatively less affected by the width of slit on the side of shaft. The transverse force of asymmetric tangential flow on the flame is difficult to be completely overcomed by merged fire whirls. Background and aims: The use of conventional oral sulfate tablets (OSTs) has gained popularity; nonetheless, they may be not only inconvenient to swallow but also difficult to dissolve. A novel mini-OST has recently been developed to enhance compliance with conventional OST use. This study aimed to compare the efficacy, tolerability, and safety between mini-OST and conventional OST. Methods: This was a prospective, randomized, investigator-blinded, multicenter, and non-inferior phase 3 trial conducted between September 2022 and December 2022. The efficacy, safety, and tolerability were compared between mini-OST and conventional OST. Results: Exactly 83 patients were evaluated based on a full analysis set (FAS), whereas 82 patients were evaluated as a per-protocol set (PPS). With respect to the efficacy of preparation, successful and high-quality preparation was excellent in the mini-OST and conventional OST groups on both FAS and PPS analyses, without significant differences between the two groups. On the FAS analysis, the satisfaction and tolerability scores were high in both groups, without significant differences. The first bowel movement after taking the investigational product occurred 30 min earlier in the mini-OST group than in the OST group. Mild, moderate, and severe adverse events (AEs) were comparable between the two groups; however, any AEs were more common in the mini-OST group than in the conventional OST group overall. Conclusions: Compared with conventional OST, the novel mini-OST preparation showed similar efficacy, tolerability, and safety, including mild eight solicited AEs and moderate-to-severe AEs. Cable-membrane structures have small rigidity and are highly sensitive to wind. Structural health monitoring is necessary to ensure the serviceability and safety of the structure. In this research, the design method of a structural health monitoring system is using the characteristics of a cable-membrane structure. Taking the Yueyang Sanhe Airport Terminal as an example, a finite element model is established to determine the critical structural components. Next, the engineering requirements and the framework of the monitoring system are studied based on the results of numerical analysis. The specific implementation of the structural health monitoring is then carried out, which includes sensor selection, installation and wiring. The proposed framework is successfully applied to the monitoring system for the Yueyang Airport terminal building, and the synchronous acquisition of fiber Bragg grating and acceleration sensor signals is implemented in an innovative way. Objectives: To validate 4D flow MRI in a flow phantom using a flowmeter and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) as reference.Methods: Validation of 4D flow MRI was performed using flow phantoms with 75 % and 90 % stenosis. The effect of spatial resolution on flow rate, peak velocity and flow patterns was investigated in coronal and axial scans. The accuracy of flow rate with 4D flow MRI was evaluated using a flowmeter as reference, and the peak velocity and flow patterns obtained were compared with CFD analysis results.Results: 4D flow MRI accurately measured the flow rate in proximal and distal regions of the stenosis (percent error ≤3.6 % in axial scanning with 1.6-mm resolution). The peak velocity of 4D flow MRI was underestimated by more than 22.8 %, especially from the second half of the stenosis. With 1-mm isotropic resolution, the maximum thickness of the recirculating flow region was estimated within a 1-mm difference, but the turbulent velocity fluctuations mostly disappeared in the post-stenotic region.Conclusion: 4D flow MRI accurately measures the flow rates in the proximal and distal regions of a stenosis in axial scan but has limitations in its estimation of peak velocity and turbulent characteristics.Key Points: • 4D flow MRI accurately measures the flow rate in axial scan. • The peak velocity was underestimated by 4D flow MRI. •4D flow MRI demonstrates the principal pattern of post-stenotic flow. Spiroplasma melliferum is the causative agent of spiroplasmosis in honeybees. During infection, adhesion of spiroplasmas to the host cells through adhesion factors is a crucial step. In this study, we identified an adhesin-like protein (ALP609) in S. melliferum CH-1 and investigated its role in the infection. To determine whether ALP609 is an adhesion factor, we performed indirect immunofluorescence microscopy to visualize its adhesion properties. Subsequently, an infection model of S. melliferum CH-1 was established using primary midgut cells of Apis mellifera to examine the adhesion and invasion of spiroplasma using anti-ALP609 antibodies inhibition assays and competition assays with recombinant ALP609 in vitro. We found that anti-ALP609 antibodies could inhibit the adhesion and invasion of spiroplasma to the midgut cells of A. mellifera and reduce midgut cell invasion on increased exposure to recombinant ALP609. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report identifying adhesion-related factors in S. melliferum. Objectives: To evaluate whether plaque characteristics as assessed by coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) were associated with the presence of a thin-cap fibroatheroma (TCFA)-a precursor of plaque rupture-defined by optical coherence tomography (OCT) in a section-to-section-level comparison.Methods: From 28 symptomatic patients, 31 coronary lesions were evaluated on 727 cross-sections co-registered by both CCTA and OCT. CCTA plaque characteristics included low attenuation plaque (LAP, <30 HU), napkin ring sign (NRS), positive remodelling (PR, remodelling index ≥1.10), and spotty calcification and plaque area and plaque burden. By OCT, presence of TCFA, lumen area and arc of lipid were determined.Results: OCT revealed a TCFA in 69 (9.4%) sections from 19 (61.2 %) lesions. In per-section analysis, OCT-TCFA showed higher frequency of CCTA-detected LAP (58.0% vs. 18.5%), NRS (31.9% vs. 8.8%) and PR (68.1% vs. 48.0%) and greater plaque burden (70.6% vs. 61.9%) as compared to sections without OCT-TCFA (all p < 0.05). In multivariable analysis, LAP (odds ratio [OR] 4.05, p < 0.001) and NRS (OR 2.47, p = 0.005) were associated with OCT-TCFA. Developing reliable biomarkers is important for screening Alzheimer's disease (AD) and monitoring its progression. Although EEG is non-invasive direct measurement of brain neural activity and has potentials for various neurologic disorders, vulnerability to noise, difficulty in clinical interpretation and quantification of signal information have limited its clinical application. There have been many research about machine learning (ML) adoption with EEG, but the accuracy of detecting AD is not so high or not validated with Aβ PET scan. We developed EEG-ML algorithm to detect brain Aβ pathology among subjective cognitive decline (SCD) or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) population, and validated it with Aβ PET. 19-channel resting-state EEG and Aβ PET were collected from 311 subjects: 196 SCD(36 Aβ +, 160 Aβ −), 115 MCI(54 Aβ +, 61Aβ −). 235 EEG data were used for training ML, and 76 for validation. EEG features were standardized for age and sex. Multiple important features sets were selected by 6 statistics analysis. Then, we trained 8 multiple machine learning for each important features set. Meanwhile, we conducted paired t-test to find statistically different features between amyloid positive and negative group. The best model showed 90.9% sensitivity, 76.7% specificity and 82.9% accuracy in MCI + SCD (33 Aβ +, 43 Aβ −). Limited to SCD, 92.3% sensitivity, 75.0% specificity, 81.1% accuracy (13 Aβ +, 24 Aβ −). 90% sensitivity, 78.9% specificity and 84.6% accuracy for MCI (20 Aβ +, 19 Aβ −). Similar trends of EEG power have been observed from the group comparison between Aβ + and Aβ −, and between MCI and SCD: enhancement of frontal/ frontotemporal theta; attenuation of mid-beta in centroparietal areas. The present findings suggest that accurate classification for beta-amyloid accumulation in the brain based on QEEG alone could be possible, which implies that QEEG is a promising biomarker for beta-amyloid. Since QEEG is more accessible, cost-effective, and safer than amyloid PET, QEEG-based biomarkers may play an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of AD. We expect specific patterns in QEEG could play an important role to predict future progression of cognitive impairment in the preclinical stage of AD. Urinary stones and urine composition are the first steps in the process of recurrence prevention, but data concerning the association between the two compositions are scarce in Chinese children with urolithiasis. We retrospectively analyzed the records of children (age range 0-18 years) with urolithiasis in our center between March 2004 and December 2013. Stone analysis was carried out in 382 children and 24-hour urine analysis in 80 children. Analysis of both stone and 24-hour urine composition was completed in 56 children. Stone samples were analyzed by Fourier transform-infrared spectrometry. The major stone constituents were calcium oxalate (78.8 %). Of 80 children with 24 h urine analysis, only 2.5 % were without urinary metabolic abnormalities. Hypocitraturia was recorded in 97.5 %, high sodium excretion in 50.0 %, cystinuria in 48.7 %, hypercalciuria in 18.8 %, small urine volumes in 12.5 %, hyperoxaluria in 5.0 % and hyperuricosuria in 1.3 %. Interestingly, higher urine volumes were recorded in girls than in boys (73.2 ± 58.5 vs 51.3 ± 45.3 mL/kg, p = 0.036). Urine sodium ( p = 0.002) and oxalate ( p = 0.004) were significantly higher in children >9 year old. Moreover, compared with calcium oxalate stone formers, the urine volume ( p = 0.040), citrate ( p = 0.007) and cystine ( p = 0.004) were higher in patients with cystine stones. To overcome the limitations of traditional machining processes, a new foam machining process, the so-called rapid heat ablation (RHA) process using a rotary hot tool, was proposed as rapid prototyping and manufacturing (RPM) technologies. In this paper, the thermal characteristics of rapid heat ablation for EPS foam are investigated through numerical analyses. As the first approach, the thermal field by a stationary heat source is analyzed in order to demonstrate the influence of the tool shape and isotropy of a thermal field. Based on the analysis for stationary heat source, the rotary hot tool can be assumed to be a volumetric heat source. Thermal fields of workpiece by moving the heat source are simulated with valid assumptions and thermal boundary. As a result, the model predicts the temperature distribution of the workpiece as well as the melting zone which is the above melting temperature for various process parameters. A new foam machining process, a rapid heat ablation (RHA) process using a rotary hot tool as rapid prototyping and manufacturing (RPM) technologies, has been developed to overcome some fundamental disadvantages, such as excessive cutting time and leftover materials caused by the cutting mechanism. A hot tool of a rotary type was designed to fulfill requirements for RHA process. To investigate thermal characteristics of heat ablation using rotary hot tool, process parameter studies were conducted by experimental approach. The effective heat input per mass which represents heat input, tool speed and material density was defined. Based on the experimental results, correlation between kerfwidth and effective heat input per mass can be determined. Theoretically, the correlation between kerfwidth and process parameters was also derived. To verify the practical applicability of the RHA process, three-dimensional parts were ablated. Recent studies have shown that the infrared (IR) local heating method drastically reduces springback of advanced high-strength steels (AHSSs). Though the IR local heating method saves heating energy because it utilizes focused IR rays to heat only the plastic deformation zone, there has yet to be an attempt to show that the heating method can be applied to industrial manufacturing processes. In this work, the IR local heating method is used to manufacture a seat cross member. Seat cross members require high strength because they are responsible for protecting passengers from broadside collisions. Although AHSS is preferred in seat cross members, the large amount of springback of AHSS makes a problem in the accuracy of the shape. This work verifies that the IR local heating method is able to make the seat cross member with the target shape in the manufacturing process. The cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) receptor protein/fumarate and nitrate reductase regulatory protein (Crp/Fnr) family of transcriptional regulators are pleiotropic transcriptional regulators that control a broad range of cellular functions. Leinamycin (LNM) is a potent antitumor antibiotic produced by Streptomyces atroolivaceus S-140. We previously cloned and characterized the lnm biosynthetic gene cluster from S. atroolivaceus S-140. We here report inactivation of lnmO in S. atroolivaceus S-140 and overexpression of lnmO in the S. atroolivaceus S-140 wild-type and ∆lnmE mutant SB3033 to investigate its role in LNM biosynthesis. Bioinformatics analysis revealed LnmO as the only regulator within the lnm gene cluster, exhibiting high sequence similarity to known Crp/Fnr family regulators. The inactivation of lnmO in S. atroolivaceus S-140 completely abolished LNM production but caused no apparent morphological changes, supporting that LnmO is indispensable and specific to LNM biosynthesis. Overexpression of lnmO in S. atroolivaceus S-140 and SB3033 resulted in three- and fourfold increase in LNM and LNM E1 production, respectively, supporting that LnmO acts as a positive regulator. While all of the Crp/Fnr family regulators studied to date appeared to be pleiotropic, our results support LnmO as the first Crp/Fnr family regulator that is pathway-specific. LnmO joins the growing list of regulators that could be exploited to improve secondary metabolite production in Streptomyces. Background and Aims: The therapeutic outcome of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for large protruding tumors has not yet been evaluated. We aimed to compare the outcomes of ESD in protruding tumors with those of laterally spreading tumors (LSTs).Methods: Endoscopic submucosal dissection was attempted in 218 patients with 220 colorectal tumors ≥30 mm in diameter (67, protruding tumors; 153, LSTs) from July 2007 to June 2014. We retrospectively reviewed patient medical records, therapeutic outcomes, and procedure-related adverse events. This study defined lesions with a height of 10 mm or more as protruding tumors and those with a height under 10 mm as LSTs.Results: The mean lesion diameter, height, and volume were 43.8, 9.5 mm, and 13.6 cm(3), respectively. The mean procedure time was 75.5 min. Deep submucosal cancer was more frequent in protruding tumors than in LSTs (11.9 vs. 2.6%, P = 0.005). Severe fibrosis was more common in protruding tumors than in LSTs (19.4 vs. 3.9%, P < 0.001). En bloc resection and complete resection rates were lower in protruding tumors than in LSTs (en bloc resection, 76.1 vs. 92.8%, P = 0.001; complete resection, 64.2 vs. 79.1%, P = 0.020). Intra- and post-procedural bleeding were more frequent in protruding tumors than in LSTs (22.4 vs. 2.6%, P < 0.001; 6.0 vs. 0.7%, P = 0.031, respectively). By multivariate analysis, protruding tumor morphology (odds ratio 1.919, P = 0.048) and tumor size ≥60 mm (odds ratio 2.490, P = 0.030) were associated with incomplete resection.Conclusions: Endoscopic submucosal dissection for protruding tumors is less effective than ESD for LSTs, with lower rate of complete resection occurring with protruding tumors. Within the airway management field, simulation has been used as a tool of training for over 40 years. Simulation training offers a chance of active involvement for the trainees. It can effectively enhance and upgrade the knowledge and skills of the trainees in airway management, and subsequently decrease medical errors and improve patients' outcomes and safety through a variety of airway management training modalities, such as common airway skills, difficult airway management strategies, and crisis management skills. To perform simulation-based airway management training effectively, not only are task trainers and high-fidelity simulators required but also instructors with rich experience in airway management simulation training and optimal curriculum design are essential. The glutarimide-containing polyketides represent a fascinating class of natural products that exhibit a multitude of biological activities. We have recently cloned and sequenced the biosynthetic gene clusters for three members of the glutarimide-containing polyketides-iso-migrastatin (iso-MGS) from Streptomyces platensis NRRL 18993, lactimidomycin (LTM) from Streptomyces amphibiosporus ATCC 53964, and cycloheximide (CHX) from Streptomyces sp. YIM56141. Comparative analysis of the three clusters identified mgsA and chxA, from the mgs and chx gene clusters, respectively, that were predicted to encode the PimR-like Streptomyces antibiotic regulatory proteins (SARPs) but failed to reveal any regulatory gene from the ltm gene cluster. Overexpression of mgsA or chxA in S. platensis NRRL 18993, Streptomyces sp. YIM56141 or SB11024, and a recombinant strain of Streptomyces coelicolor M145 carrying the intact mgs gene cluster has no significant effect on iso-MGS or CHX production, suggesting that MgsA or ChxA regulation may not be rate-limiting for iso-MGS and CHX production in these producers. In contrast, overexpression of mgsA or chxA in S. amphibiosporus ATCC 53964 resulted in a significant increase in LTM production, with LTM titer reaching 106 mg/L, which is five-fold higher than that of the wild-type strain. These results support MgsA and ChxA as members of the SARP family of positive regulators for the iso-MGS and CHX biosynthetic machinery and demonstrate the feasibility to improve glutarimide-containing polyketide production in Streptomyces strains by exploiting common regulators. Background: Experience in gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) has been suggested as a prerequisite for performing colorectal ESD by some experts.Aims: To evaluate the feasibility of performing colorectal ESD without experience in gastric ESD.Methods: Between November 2009 and December 2013, ESD was attempted for 250 colorectal lesions by an endoscopist having extensive colonoscopy experience but no prior experience of gastric ESD. All attempts were categorized according to the chronological order of procedures: group 1, attempts 1-50; group 2, attempts 51-100; group 3, attempts 101-150; group 4, attempts 151-200; and group 5, attempts 201-250. The ESD success rate (72, 80, 90, 90, and 94% in group 1-5, respectively; p for trend = 0.001), perforation rate (14, 14, 6, 6, and 0% in group 1-5, respectively; p for trend = 0.003), and macroperforation rate (6, 6, 2, 2, and 0% in group 1-5, respectively; p for trend = 0.042) improved as experience accumulated. Performing >100 ESDs, rectal location, and absence of submucosal fibrosis were independent predictors of successful procedure.Conclusion: Colorectal ESD can be safely and effectively performed by an endoscopist having extensive experience in colonoscopy-related procedures even without previous experience of gastric ESD. A kinetics approach is developed for the geometrically nonlinear analysis of photo-induced wrinkling of glassy twist nematic films on soft elastic substrates. In this way, the problem is reduced to finding the steady state of an overdamped evolution system according to a kinetic law, rather than directly solving the coupled nonlinear equations. This enables one to account for the complicated director distribution and obtain the precise wrinkling morphology of the film. Though the approach proposed here is for a twist nematic film, it can be extended to study glassy nematic films with other director distributions. This article aims to investigate the problem of robust finite-time output feedback $$ H_\infty $$ control for stochastic jump systems with incomplete transition rates. Firstly, for the nominal stochastic jump systems, the sufficient conditions for the finite-time boundedness and finite-time output feedback stabilization are developed, respectively. Then, a robust finite-time $$ H_\infty $$ output feedback controller is designed by means of linear matrix inequalities. A key point of this work is to relax the special requirement of completely known transition rates to more general form that mixes two cases of completely known and completely unknown transition rates. Objectives: We aimed to evaluate the role of preoperative cardiac computed tomography (CT) for adults with congenital cardiac septal defect (CSD). Methods: Sixty-five consecutive patients who underwent preoperative CT and surgery for CSD were included. The diagnostic accuracy of CT and the concordance rate of the subtype classification of CSD were evaluated using surgical findings as the reference standard. Sixty-five patients without CSD who underwent cardiac valve surgery were used as a control group. An incremental value of CT over echocardiography was described retrospectively. Results: Sensitivity and specificity of CT for diagnosis of CSD were 95 % and 100 %, respectively. The concordance rate of subtype classification was 91 % in CT and 92 % in echocardiography. The maximum size of the defect measured by CT correlated well with surgical measurement ( r = 0.82), and the limit of agreement was -0.9 ± 7.42 mm. In comparison with echocardiography, CT was able to detect combined abnormalities in three cases, and exclusively provided correct subtype classification or clarified suspected abnormal findings found on echocardiography in seven cases. Conclusions: Cardiac CT can accurately demonstrates CSD in preoperative adult patients. CT may have an incremental role in preoperative planning, particularly in those with more complex anatomy. The goal of present study was to translate and validate the Social Well-being Scale (SWBS) with a Chinese sample, first developed by (Keyes in Social Psychology Quarterly 61(2):121-140, 1998). We examined the internal consistency, convergent validity and the measurement invariance across gender groups. A total of 630 Chinese individuals were recruited for the present study and they completed the SWBS, Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scales, and Satisfaction With Life Scale. Confirmation factor analysis demonstrated that the original five factor structure-(1) social integration, (2) social acceptance, (3) social actualization, (4) social contribution, and (5) social coherence-of social well-being previously found in Western populations were replicated in this sample. Internal consistency was high in all subscales but self-acceptance subscale and convergent validity with positive affect, negative affect and life satisfaction was found. Evidence of measurement invariance across gender groups was obtained. These findings suggested that the Chinese version of SWBS would be useful for assessing social well-being in China. We consider minimal time and minimal norm of the optimal controls for a multi-dimensional internally controlled heat equation with control domain varying over a class of open sets. Two problems are formulated separately into different types of shape optimization problems over this open set class. The governing equation with any given initial value and admissible control are considered as constraints, and minimal time or minimal norm of the optimal controls is considered as cost for related shape optimization. The solution of the shape optimization leads to the optimal actuator location for optimal controls. The existence of such an optimal location domain for both minimal time and minimal norm controls is presented. A different problem that relates the balance between minimal time and minimal norm controls is also discussed. Purpose: To evaluate the effect of vertebroplasty with a bone filler device compared with balloon kyphoplasty. Methods: A total of 222 patients underwent operations from January 2008 to October 2012. One-level fractures numbered 169 (86.7 %) cases and two-level fractures numbered 26 (13.3 %). A total of 221 vertebral levels were analyzed consequently. Vertebral height, compression ratio, and segmental Cobb's angle were measured in preoperative and postoperative lateral X-rays. Results: The compression ratio was the most influential parameter among three variables. Adjusted postoperative compression ratio was not significantly different between two operation groups. Bone cement leakage rates did not differ ( p < 0.05). Bone cement distribution was spongy type in the majority of the vertebroplasty with bone filler device (94.5 %), but only in 42.0 % of the kyphoplasty. High bone densitometry readings and long period from diagnosis to operation were significant risk factors for bone cement leakage. Conclusions: Vertebroplasty with a bone filler device could achieve equivalent compression reduction and bone cement leakage rate, as well as greater sponge-type bone cement distribution, which were advantages over balloon kyphoplasty. We present a detailed study on the artificial magnetism of high-permittivity dielectric spherical shell array and the negative refraction behavior of the composite consisting of dielectric spherical shells and metal wire lattice. The spherical shell array in cubic lattice arrangement can exhibit an isotropic negative magnetism when excited into magnetic dipole resonance. When the dielectric spherical shell and metal wire lattice are combined in a body-centered cubic structure, full-wave simulations show that the bulk metamaterial with this structure can exhibit a negative refraction behavior. It is shown that artificial magnetic response can originate from differently structured dielectric elements, similarly to the conventional metamaterial constituents based on metal resonance structures. A bilayered chiral metamaterial with Π-shaped structure is proposed, which demonstrates to exhibit dual-band asymmetric transmission (AT) of linearly polarized electromagnetic (EM) waves in two opposite directions. Incident x-polarized wave is almost converted to y-polarized wave while incident y-polarized wave is locked through the Π-shaped slab at 10.82 GHz; incident y-polarized wave is almost converted to x-polarized wave while incident x-polarized wave cannot pass through the Π-shaped slab at 14.1 GHz. The property of the AT is similar to the diode-switching characteristics, and the EM wave can be switched on/off by changing the polarization state of the incident wave.
