In order to study the effect of ignition position on the deflagration characteristics of oil mist in ship cabins, a self-constructed simulated cabin experimental platform was created to conduct experiments on the effect of ignition position on oil mist deflagration characteristics. The results indicate that the deflagration process of oil mist under various conditions can be divided into four stages, they are respectively deflagration, turbulent combustion, flame stretch and self-extinguishing. The peak velocity of flame propagation decreases with the increasing of the distance between the ignition position and the nozzle. When the distance increases from 13 cm to 83 cm, the peak velocity decreases by 6 m/s with a reduction of 57.14%. The peak temperature inside the cabin decreases with the increasing of the distance between the ignition position and the nozzle. When the distance increases from 13 cm to 83 cm, the peak temperature decreases by 118.2°C with a reduction of 13.94%. The pressure distribution inside the cabin after ignition increases first and then decreases. As the distance between the ignition position and the nozzle increases, the peak pressure at various positions also increases, and the maximum peak pressure is located at 110 cm in the cabin. At the ignition position of 83 cm, the peak pressure reaches the maximum value of 1.603 MPa, which increases by 0.858 MPa (115.17%) compared with the ignition position of 13 cm. The frequent occurrence of kitchen gas explosion accidents has raised widespread attention to gas safety. This article takes kitchen as the research object, and explores the dispersion law of LPG leakage in kitchens and the influence of ignition at different leakage time on explosion consequences by establishing LPG leakage and explosion models. The results show that the process of LPG leakage in a closed kitchen can be divided into three stages: initial kinetic energy dominant stage, gravity expansion stage, and passive dispersion stage. Propane forms a non-uniform concentration field in the kitchen that gradually decreases from bottom to top, filling the entire kitchen in 583 s. When an explosion occurred in the kitchen center, the initial burst of flame spreads around in a fireball. After 115 ms and 122 ms, the explosion overpressure causes the door and window to be destroyed respectively, and the flames stretch toward the door and window. The flames are then concentrated mainly in the lower area where the fuel is more adequate. In the later stage of the deflagration reaction, the flame propagates toward the upper area of the kitchen under buoyancy. The explosion consequences of LPG non-uniform gas clouds show a pattern of first intensifying and then weakening with the leakage time. The explosion consequences are most severe when ignited about 300 s after the leakage. The maximum explosion overpressures at the center of the kitchen, door, and window were 67.15 kPa, 28.12 kPa, and 27.92 kPa, respectively. Oil vapor emitted during refueling process has caused serious issues of air pollution, especially the environmental impact in surrounding residential areas. Most petrol stations have installed oil vapor recovery systems, but some stations did not properly maintain or switch on them. With the increasing emphasis on ecological environmental protection, it is more crucial to investigate the internal mechanism of vapor-air mass transfer. In this study, a computational fluid dynamic (CFD) model was developed and verified to analyze the effects of wind speed, vehicles number, and residential layout on oil vapor diffusion in residential areas. Simultaneously, the effectiveness of oil vapor recovery was assessed by comparing contamination before and after recovery. Results indicate that wind speed greatly affects the area and location of excess emission areas (EEAs). As the wind speed increases from 2 m/s to 4 m/s, highest concentration, distance to buildings and width of EEAs decreases by 49.1%, 43.8%, and 33.3%, respectively, and EEAs disappear at the wind speed of 6 m/s. Vehicles number has a more significant effect on the symmetry of EEAs, and EEAs become gradually symmetrical as the number increases from 3 to 12. Further, the enclosure layout proves to be an effective layout for protecting residential air, with a minimum concentration of 0.18 mg/m³ . Notably, the effectiveness of oil vapor recovery is remarkable, with a purification rate of 98.5%. It is noteworthy to explore potential measures for further reducing the aerodynamic drag and noise of high-speed pantographs. This paper proposes a method of introducing spanwise waviness into the upper and lower arms. The improved delayed detached eddy simulation (IDDES) method and the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings (FW-H) equation are used for flow field simulation and sound propagation calculation, respectively. The effects of wavelength, wave amplitude and inclination on the aerodynamic force and radiated noise of the wave cylinder were firstly investigated, and then the aerodynamic characteristics of the pantograph with and without spanwise waviness configurations were compared. Results show that the appropriate spanwise waviness on the cylinder can diffuse the negative pressure core area in the wake, reduce the negative pressure amplitude, suppress the vortex shedding and weaken the fluctuation amplitude of the aerodynamic force, resulting in the reduction of aerodynamic drag and noise. For the high-speed pantograph by introducing spanwise waviness, when the ratio of wavelength and wave amplitude to cylinder diameter is 1.2 and 1/8 respectively, the aerodynamic drag and noise of the pantograph by introducing spanwise waviness are reduced by 1.58% and 1.16 dBA, respectively. To retrospectively compare the survival outcomes of thermal ablation plus chemotherapy to those of chemotherapy alone in patients with unresectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC). 189 patients with unresectable ICC who received thermal ablation plus chemotherapy or chemotherapy alone as the initial treatment were identified. To avoid potential bias, 1:1 matching between groups was performed through propensity score matching. Overall survival (OS) was the primary endpoint. Clinical and tumor factors related to OS were analyzed through univariate and multivariate analyses. Of the enrolled patients, 55 received ablation plus chemotherapy, and 134 received chemotherapy alone. The median OS was 16.267 months for patients treated with combined therapy and 6.067 months for patients treated with chemotherapy alone (p = 0.000). The benefit of ablation plus chemotherapy was also preserved in the matched cohort, with a median OS of 15.233 months in the combined treatment group and 7.967 months in the chemotherapy group (p = 0.009). Univariate and multivariate analyses indicated that the type of treatment was an independent factor of OS (p < 0.05). Objectives: To retrospectively assess the efficacy of combined ablation-chemotherapy in comparison to that of chemotherapy alone in patients with liver metastasized pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (lmPDAC). Methods: In total 104 patients with hepatic oligo metastasized PDAC were identified; among them, 74 patients underwent combined thermal ablation-chemotherapy, and 30 patients underwent chemotherapy alone. Through propensity score matching, 1:1 matching of the combined ablation-chemotherapy group and chemotherapy group was achieved. The primary endpoint of this study was overall survival (OS). Clinical and tumor-related factors affecting OS were also analyzed through univariate and multivariate analyses using the Cox risk model. Results: For patients treated with combined ablation-chemotherapy, the median OS was 10.77 months, while it was 5.77 months for patients treated with chemotherapy alone (P = 0.011). The survival benefit for patients treated with combined ablation-chemotherapy was still preserved in the matched cohort, with a median OS of 8.17 months compared to 5.77 months in the chemotherapy group. Univariate and multivariate analyses in the matched population also showed treatment with combined ablation-chemotherapy was an independent prognostic factor (P < 0.05). Conclusions: For patients with liver metastases from pancreatic cancer, the combined use of thermal ablation and systemic chemotherapy offers a chance for a better survival outcome. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell is a promising method in cancer immunotherapy but faces many challenges in solid tumors. One of the major problems was immunosuppression caused by PD-1. In our study, the expression of c-Met in GC was analyzed from TCGA datasets, GC tissues, and cell lines. The c-Met CAR was a second-generation CAR with 4-1BB, cMet-PD1/CD28 CAR was c-Met CAR adding PD1/CD28 chimeric-switch receptor (CSR). In vitro, we measured the changes of different subgroups, phenotypes and PD-1 expression in CAR-T cells. We detected the secretion levels of different cytokines and the killing ability of CAR-Ts. In vivo, we established a xenograft GC model and observed the anti-tumor effect and off-target toxicity of different CAR-Ts. We find that the expression of c-Met was increased in GC. CD3+CD8+ T cells and CD62L+CCR7+ central memory T cells (TCM) were increased in two CAR-Ts. The stimulation of target cells could promote the expression of PD-1 in c-Met CAR-T. Compared with Mock T, the secretion of cytokines as IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-6, IL-10 secreted by two CAR-Ts was increased, and the killing ability to c-Met positive GC cells was enhanced. The PD1/CD28 CSR could further enhance the killing ability, especially the long-term anti-tumor effect of c-Met CAR-T, and reduce the release level of IL-6. CAR-Ts target c-Met had no obvious off-target toxicity to normal organs. Thus, the PD1/CD28 CSR could further enhance the anti-tumor ability of c-Met CAR-T, and provides a promising design strategy to improve the efficacy of CAR-T in GC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Three-dimensional phase field simulations of coupled γ/γ ' microstructural evolution and plastic deformation in single crystal Ni-Al are carried out at micrometer scales. Coherent γ/γ ' microstructures and plastic deformation in γ-channels are described using a single, consistent methodology based on Khachaturyan's phase field microelasticity approach to coherent precipitates and dislocations. In particular, a new set of phase fields is introduced to characterize local density of dislocations from individual active slip systems. To increase the length scale of the phase field simulations, the Kim-Kim-Suzuki (KKS) treatment of γ/γ ' interfaces was adopted. The rafting kinetics, precipitate-matrix inversion process and the corresponding creep deformation are characterized with respect to parameters such as applied stress and lattice misfit. The simulation results on γ '-rafting kinetics and morphological evolution of the γ/γ ' microstructures are compared with available experiment. The model can be used to carry out parametric studies of the effects of material and processing parameters such as alloy composition, external stress and working temperature on γ '-rafting kinetics, morphological evolution and the corresponding creep deformation.
