The lattice structure is a periodically repeating three-dimensional open-cell architecture, and the introduction of polymer materials into its gaps results in a lattice structure filled with silicone rubber that can simultaneously exhibit vibration reduction, energy absorption, and other functional characteristics. In this study, the compressive behavior of both the lattice structure and the lattice structure filled with silicone rubber were investigated through a combination of finite element analysis and experimental investigations. The results show that the finite element analysis results are consistent with the experimental ones, and the method can be used to analyze such structures. Lattice structures filled with silicone rubber have better load-bearing capacity compared to lattice structures, and the integration of silicone rubber increases the compressive strength of the lattice structure, reducing the occurrence of structural localization phenomena.
