The article presents a case study focusing on the historical aspects and continuous need of interagency collaboration in public schools for immigrant children and their families. Details are provided to support this theory including historical anecdotes of previous successes. Public schools have supported the child's education by conducting home visits. Social services offered encouragement and resources to the child's family. Communication agencies such as local radio networks have allowed schools to reach immigrants through ethnic radio and television stations.
