The study of γ rays emitted from exotic beams is a field that has been quickly growing in recent years. Indeed, γ spectroscopy is a very powerful tool to investigate nuclear structure and the effort to understand the broad spectrum of nuclei, stable and unstable, has important implications also for other fields. In astrophysics, unstable nuclei play a crucial role in explosive environments such as supernovae and colliding neutron stars. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
