The article discusses a case of iatrogenic transmission of vascular Aß40 amyloid through a cadaveric dural graft, resulting in cerebral amyloid angiopathy. The patient experienced multiple intracranial hemorrhages and microbleeds, with histological examination revealing Aß40 deposition predominance. Genetic testing ruled out mutations in APP, PSEN1, and PSEN2, and corticosteroid therapy was administered to prevent further hemorrhages. The case highlights the need for further research on iatrogenic cerebral amyloid angiopathy and its potential sources, such as cadaveric dura and contaminated surgical instruments.
