CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) nanomaterials were synthesized using the low-cost facile sol-gel technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns confirmed the cubic structure of the prepared sample. Scherrer's formula and the W-H (Williamson-Hall) plot was used to calculated the average crystallite size of the prepared sample and it was found to be 27 nm and 31.3 nm, respectively, while the strain created in the lattice is 5.008 × 10−4. Based on the absorbance plot, the band-gap (Eg) of the sample was determined using Tauc's plot and it was found out to be 2.74 eV. The frequency dependence of dielectric permittivity (ε) and tangent loss (tan δ) of CCTO was analyzed at different temperature range from 300 K to 663 K over a frequency range from 10 Hz to 1 MHz. ε and tan δ decrease monotonically in entire frequency range and an anomalous frequency-dependent behavior was observed at different temperatures. High ε (in the range of 104) was found out at lower frequency range. Electrical conductivity was also analyzed in range of frequencies and temperature, it was found out that in higher region of frequency conductivity slightly increases. The room temperature values of ε, tanδ and conductivity was 7.5 × 103, 1.5 and 0.4 × 10−5 Ω−1 m−1, respectively. The reduction in Eg is achieved which was the major concern in this work. Furthermore, we have extensively studied the ε along with tan δ and ac conductivity for electronic application usage. The CaSn0.95Mn0.05O3 (CSMO) was produced by using the sol-gel wet chemical process. The structural composition was examined using an X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern, and the presence of an orthorhombic structure with the space group Pbnm was confirmed by Rietveld refinement. At different temperatures between 300 K and 773 K, the dielectric permittivity (ε), tangent losses (tanδ), and electrical conductivity of CSMO has been measured as a function of frequency from 100 Hz to 1 MHz.Dielectric permittivity (ε) is found to be independent of temperature up to 400K and very low tangent loss. Jonscher's power law in the material's frequency-dependent ac conductivity shows its semiconductor nature. Optical band gap of CSMO was observed by using UV-vis.absorption spectra. The optical band gap of CSMO, which was determined using Tauc plot measurements to be 2.42 eV, suggests that the sample is a semiconductor. The Arrhenius model is employed to perform an analysis of the dc conductivity of the material concerning both frequency and temperature. As a result of its semiconductivity, stable dielectric constant, and low tangent loss, CSMO is a suitable material for thermally stable capacitors, semiconductor devices, UV filter and UV detectors. Cobalt disulfide (CoS2) is a highly sophisticated metal chalcogenide that has garnered significant attention due to its distinctive properties such as its electrical, optical, catalytic, and magnetic capabilities and potential for use in a range of applications. In this work, pure CoS2 nanoparticles were synthesized using the economical and facile hydrothermal method. The X-Ray diffraction (XRD) method was used to characterize the synthesized sample, confirming that it has a cubic crystal structure with space group P a −3. The Debye-Scherrer's formula was implemented to determine the average crystallite size of nanoparticles and found to be 24.24 nm. Through the use of Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), the morphology and effective grain size of the obtained sample was determined. FTIR spectrophotometry was used to examine the vibrational stretching of the various bonds in CoS2. UV-Vis spectroscopy is employed to measure the optical property of the sample. The optical bandgap calculated from the Tauc Plot is around 1.90 eV reflecting the presence of photovoltaic properties in the sample. The change in dielectric permittivity and loss have been observed for the sample in the frequency range of 100 Hz to 10KHz at different temperatures between 303K and 423K. The frequency-dependent electrical conductivity of CoS2 is also explained. The observations revealed the presence of unique electrical and structural properties in the synthesized sample. Sol-gel method is used to synthesize the Bi0.90Dy0.10FeO3-BaTi0.95Hf0.05O3 (BDyFO-BTHfO composite) multiferroic composite material. The structural formation was examined utilizing an X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern preceded by Rietveld refinement utilizing the FULLPROF programme to confirm the presence of tetragonal and partially rhombohedral structures having space group P4mm and R3c, respectively. The dielectric characteristics of the BDyFO-BTHfO composite have been measured with respect to frequency (100 Hz to 1 MHz) and temperature (RT to 663K). Dielectric permittivity (ε) shows low-frequency dispersion which can be addressed by Maxwell-Wanger-type interfacial polarization. The synthesized composite material exhibits a negative magneto-dielectric (MD) effect when a magnetic field is operated (0.0 T to 2.0 T) and the obtained values are −9.61% and −19.68% for the ε and tanδ, respectively, at 1 kHz. The contribution of the grains, grain boundaries and electrode effects on the resistive characteristics of the samples was evaluated using comprehensive impedance spectroscopy using a Nyquist plot. The band gap (Eg) absorption of the synthesized sample was determined using Tauc's formula and found to be 2.05 eV. The BDyFO-BTHfO composite has improved magneto-dielectric, magneto impedance, and optical properties that support their potential usage in microelectronics, energy storage devices, and optoelectronic devices. Carbon quantum dots doped ZnFe2O4 Spinel Ferrite, that is, CQD-ZSF hybrid nanocomposite was thrivingly synthesised exploiting sol-gel based synthesis technique. Structural assessment supports Fd-3m space group with cubic spinel structure with mean size of 10.33 nm as obtained from Scherrer formula. Raman spectra confirmed the existence of CQD in ZSF. The samples contained a variety of vibration bands, according to the FT-IR analysis. The dielectric permittivity (ε) and tangent losses (tan δ) was conducted with frequency from 100 Hz to 1 MHz range at different temperatures ranging from 300 to 773 K. It was found that ε as well as tan δ receded monotonously with extending frequency. This information reveals a space or interfacial dipolar relaxation phenomenon. The electrical properties and the ion hopping dynamics were probed with the assistance of an AC-electrical conductivity (σac) analysis. Frequency-dependent σac heeded Jonscher's law of power. The advent of arcs semicircular by nature in cole-cole plot indicates cloud of electronic process occurring within sample. At 300 K, by applying an external magnetic field varying till 1.5 Tesla magnetic field, the magneto-dielectric effects of the sample were measured by obtaining ε and tan δ versus frequency values displaying negative ML% (magneto-loss) and MD% (magneto-dielectric) coupling of −32.57% and −58.13%, respectively. 0.9Bi1-xNdxFeO3 − 0.1PbTiO3 solid solution with x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20 were success fully synthesized by the standard solid-state reaction method. The effect of Nd3+ion substitution on structural, micro structural, ferroelectric, magnetic and dielectric properties of 0.9BiFeO3-0.1PbTiO3 have been investigated. The XRD analysis for the samples under study revealed distorted rhombohedral structure with R3C space group. 0.9Bi1-xNdxFeO3 − 0.1PbTiO3 i.e. (BNFPT)x with x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20 compounds crystallized as single-phase materials with the same structure as the parent BiFeO3 compound. The SEM study revealed the uniform grain scattering for all prepared samples. Raman spectroscopy showed disappearance of some Raman modes indicated a structural phase transition with substitution of Nd dopants at Bi site and also confirmed the distorted rhombohedral perovskite structure of (BNFPT)x compounds with R3c symmetry. Dielectric measurements reveals that, around Neel temperature, all the samples exhibit magneto-electric coupling and also improved dielectric properties with addition of dopants in BiFeO3(BFO) compound. All the prepared samples exhibit weak ferro-magnetic character at room temperature. However, the variation in linear behavior and enhancement in magnetization is found at 5 K which shows gradual increase in remnant magnetization from 0.00785 emu/g to 0.37513 emu/g with increase in Nd doping for all (BNFPT)x samples. Nd doping reduces leakage current by three orders of magnitude, from 10−4 to 10−7. Ferroelectric study revealed the pinning effect in hysteresis loops with low remnant polarization and coercive field which can be related to the energy storage performance of the samples. 0.7Bi0.99Nd0.01Fe0.99(Co, Ti)0.01O3-0.3CaTiO3 (BNFCTO-CaTO) composite was prepared by using sol-gel method. The structural formation was investigated using the XRD pattern, which confirms the presence of distorted rhombohedral structure with space group R3c and the superlattice orthorhombic crystal structure with space group Pbmn. The dielectric behavior of BNFCTO-CaTO has been studied within the frequency range of 100 Hz to 1 MHz from 300 K to 773 K. The sample shows dielectric dispersion in low frequency region that can be explained by Maxwell-Wagner type interfacial polarization. The temperature-dependent dielectric plot shows an anomaly near to magnetic transition temperature (TN) of BiFeO3 and shows relaxor behavior. To develop naphthyridine derivatives as anticancer candidates, pharmacokinetic (PK) evaluations of 10 novel derivatives of 1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-1-proparagyl-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxamide, with potent anticancer activity were done using in vitro ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion) and pharmacokinetic--pharmcodynamic (PK/PD) assays. Only derivatives 5, 6, 9 and 10 showed better metabolic stability, solubility, permeability, partition coefficient and cytochrome P450 (CYP) inhibition values. PK of derivatives 5, 6, 9 and 10 in rat showed comparable PK profile for derivative 5 (C0 = 6.98 µg/mL) and 6 (C0 = 6.61 µg/mL) with no detectable plasma levels for derivatives 9 and 10 at 5.0 mg/kg i.v. dose. PK/PD assay of derivatives 5 and 6 in tumor-bearing mice (TBM) showed comparable PK but tumor plasma index (TPI) of derivative 6 (4.02) was better than derivative 5 (2.50), suggesting better tumor uptake of derivative 6. The magnetic properties of BiFeO3(BFO) - CoFe2O4(CFO) heterostructure thin films, grown on (100), (110) and (111) SrTiO3 (STO) substrates by employing pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method, have been studied. The XRD patterns of BFO-CFO multilayer thin films compared with the pure CFO and BFO thin films grown using under identical conditions evidenced that all peaks present correspond to CFO and BFO structure in two separate phases. Micro-Raman spectra analysis also reveals the presence of BFO and CFO in two separate phases in the heterostructures thin films. The anomalous enhancement in magnetization has been observed for BFO-CFO multilayer thin films, relative to pure BFO thin films in all three different orientations. The saturation magnetization for (100), (111) and (110) oriented BFO-CFO thin films are 44, 62 and 80 emu/cc suggesting that (110) is most preferable direction to achieve the magneto electric (ME) coupling effect. Narcissus tazetta is found growing naturally in the different places of Himachal Pradesh, India. Narcissus samples showing chlorosis were collected from Shimla, Solan, Kangra, and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh. Positive results for the presence of a potyvirus were shown by samples collected from Kangra district with ELISA using potyvirus group specific antibodies and RT-PCR using potyvirus group specific primers. An approximately 800 bp RT-PCR amplified fragment was cloned and sequenced. Sequence analysis confirmed the identity of the virus infecting Narcissus as a potyvirus. Sequence analysis and phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that the virus infecting Narcissus is a potyvirus and has close resemblance with Narcissus late season yellows (NLSYV) and Narcissus yellow stripe potyviruses (NYSV) reported from China, but is distinct from both of them.
