Search

We report on an ambitious project in the field of automation, applied to bound and free abrasive processing of precision and ultra-precision surfaces, with potentially far-reaching consequences. This involves two main aspects:- directly processing surfaces using industrial robots, and combining robots with Zeeko CNC polishing machines to automate operations that are currently manual. These form steps towards our ultimate vision of the Integrated Manufacturing Cell for bespoke optics rather than mass-produced, and manufacture of other precision surfaces including prosthetic joint implants. Projects such as the European Extremely Large Telescope provide a relevant case study, where significant numbers of high-value bespoke optics are required.

The morphologies of nanocrystalline nickel film coated on cenosphere particles using magnetron sputtering method were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The AFM results show the grain sizes and root-mean-square (RMS) roughness values of nickel films increase with the increase of sputtering power or deposition time and the nickel films growth is a three-dimensional island growth mode. The unceasingly variational angular distribution can get rid of the physical shadowing effect of the sputtering and promote a rather smooth film growth. Due to the all-around effect, the final distribution of grains shows a rather smooth morphology with low roughness.

3D quantitative prediction can be summarized as finding the combination parts of favorable metallogenic information based on the 3D geological models and cubic block models. Based on metallogenic prediction theory, relying on 3D visualization technology, 3D database technology and statistical calculations, this paper established the technical processes of 3D quantitative prediction and evaluation of deep mineral resources which including 3D geological modeling, prospecting model establishing, mineralization favorable information analysis and 3D quantitative prediction and evaluation.The favorable metallogenic information analysis and extraction which implemented based on 3D cubic block models extended the prospecting method from 2D to 3D space, and realized the visualization of deep quantitative geological information from the 3D point of view. The method of using 3D spatial exploration flag variable to realize 3D prediction of deep concealed ore provides a new way of prospecting prediction study of deep mineral resources.

In this study, qualitative and quantitative analyses of peanut oils adulterated with waste oil, soybean oil, corn oil and canola oil were performed by combining near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy with chemometrics methods. With NIR spectrometer, the spectra of 108 adulterated peanut oil samples were collected. The collected data were preprocessed with three different preprocessing approaches, including standard normal variate (SNV) transformation, de-trending (DT), and orthogonal signal correction (OSC). Backward interval partial least squares (BiPLS) was used to extract the characteristic wavelengths of the preprocessed data. On the intervals of the full spectrum and the characteristic wavelengths, support vector classification qualitative discriminant models and support vector regression quantitative analysis models were established. Experiments demonstrated that the established qualitative models could accurately determine the type of adulterant in peanut oil, with the accuracies on both the calibration set and the prediction set reaching 100%. With the quantitative models, the percentage of adulteration (3% ~ 55%) could be determined accurately, with correlation coefficients as high as 99.10%. All the models returned prediction root mean square errors lower than 6.96E-4. It was validated that the combination of NIR spectroscopy with chemometrics methods can realize the qualitative and quantitative detection of adulteration of peanut oil.

The pressed oil-extraction process is essentially a process of oil seepage through porous cake-shaped media. Permeability of seepage field changes along with the change of porous media caused by press pressure. The change of permeability affects fluid pressure and effective pressure of oil cake pores, which means that porosity is influenced. On the contrary, the change of porosity also has an impact on permeability. The interaction between the seepage and rheology fields is termed as fluid-solid coupling. If rheology of oil cakes is considered, the fluid-solid coupling seepage with the rheological properties is the essence of the pressed oil-extraction process. In the present study, we studied a permeability model based on the deformable and rheological properties of oilseed cakes and the effective stress. The seepage and rheology fields were analyzed by alternative application of the finite difference and finite element methods. The finite element calculation model of nonlinear rheology field was established by the time step-initial strain method. We used flax and cotton seeds as examples to perform numerical simulation and calculate the displacement and pore fluid pressure dissipation of flaxseed and cottonseed oil during the press process.

With the development of information technology, research and application of wireless sensor-actuator network is more and more widely. In this paper, the composition of wireless sensor-actuator network is described, the ZigBee protocol which is a wireless networking protocol is analyzed from multiple aspects in the network. Network architecture, protocol stack hierarchy, building network process, data transfer process, task approach based on ZigBee protocol are studied.

Directed at the traditional single chip microcomputer system which didn’t have the managing ability of the modern operating system, a technology of AC synchronization sampling was presented and implements which were based on embedded microprocessor S3C2410 and Linux real-time operating system kernel. The technology divided the sampling process into 2-part, frequency dynamic tracking and same-internal synchronization sampling .The multi-tasks, which process the different priorities, used to actualize sampling the signal and treating with the data. All tasks were scheduled by the preemptive Linux kernel. The technology has decreased the conflict between the precision and real-time property. The construction of hardware and software, method of constituting real-time operating system based on Linux kernel, signal frequency measuring, signal sampling and harmonic computing were introduced in detail.

In this paper, based on the characteristics of shell part, the application of hot runner system for the shell parts injection molding process was analyzed by Moldflow. According to this research, design parameters obtained were optimized. The result shows that hot runner system enables injection mold cooling faster , shortens the molding cycle time , and also improves the quality of the shell part.

This study focuses on cold-pressed oil cakes of camellia and bancoul nut seeds, studying the fractal characteristics of pore microstructure of these two oilseed cakes. Combined with the fractal theory, the Darcy law and Hagen-Poiseuille formula were applied to establish a fractal permeability model of oil seed cakes. Cold press was used to determine permeability of oil cakes of camellia and bancoul nut seeds. The calculated values obtained through the model were compared to the experimental values. The relative average errors for camellia and bancoul nut oilseed cakes were 11.7% and 8.7%, respectively.

Parallel robots are widely used in the machinery industry. In this paper, a planar 3-RRR parallel robot is researched. The forward kinematics mathematical model is established for this kind of mechanism. On the basis of it, a relevant simulation is carried out through MATLAB/Simulink. Thus, the motion rules and stress state for all parts of the mechanism are described vividly The simulation results show that this method is much more effective and efficient when the simulation is implemented for a certain machine system. Meanwhile, it provides a theoretical foundation and a better analytical approach of simulation for the design and analysis of complex multi-linkage mechanisms in the future.

Planner multi-linkage mechanism is widely used in the manufacturing industry. In this paper, a kind of planner R-2RRP-RRR mechanism is researched. The kinematics simulation model is established and implemented for this kind of mechanism based on SimMechanics and Adams respectively. Through simulation, the motion rule for the key part of mechanism is obtained. The simulation results show that this method is effective and efficient when the simulation is implemented for a certain machine system. Meanwhile, it provides a foundation for design and manufacturing of the mechanism in the future.

The compacted even nanonickel film was coated on the surface of cenospheres of the fly ash from coal-burning power plants (3070 μm, particle density 0.3344g/cm3) which are hollow spheres with a shell consisting of quartz and mullite by magnetic sputtering technology. The optical microscope, scanning electric microscope and X-ray diffraction was use to examine the properties and the thickness of the coated nanonickel film. The results show that magnetic sputtering method is efficient to coat smooth, even and tightly combined nanonickel films on the cenospheres surface. The coated cenospheres can be widely used in industries.

The research of traveling salesman problem (TSP) is important in logistics distribution. Because many stochastic cost factors affecting logistics distribution in real life, a class of stochastic programming model is considered in TSP in this paper. Through given a class of synthesizing effect functions which synthesis expectation and variance of cost factors, stochastic programming model of TSP with stochastic cost can be converted into a class of crisp programming models. A genetic algorithm based on real coding is used in an illustrative example. It is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed model and method.

The kinematics and dynamics simulation model is established for this kind of mechanism. On the basis of it, a relevant simulation is carried out through SimMechanics. Thus, the motion rules and stress state for all parts of mechanism are described vividly. The simulation results show that this method is effective and efficient when the simulation is implemented for a certain machine system. Meanwhile, it provides a foundation for the further research of the mechanism in the future.

Mine fire occurrence, continues to be one of the most enduring problems faced by the mining industry. The purpose of this study is to assess strategies for detecting the most important ingredient in the coal mine gas explosion-proof monitoring-oxygen content, so as to make the best foresee and prediction to the mine fire. The oxygen concentration within atmosphere located in the area of the seal gas explosion hazard safety zone should be less than 8%. In accordance with the national standard, the mine requires oxygen detection accuracy of 1%. The performances of an oxygen content monitoring system is influenced by such four elements as gas line, sensor, signal conditioning and processing as well as terminal handling system, etc.. In this work, through the use of computer-controlled technology, the oxygen content monitoring system was first made a linear open-loop calibration based on hardware, then made a linear closed loop calibration based on software programming, and at last, the famous OriginPRO data analysis system was used to analyze and interpret the sampling data, a programmed planning and real-time information correction of linear closed-loop calibration based on software was achieved, so that an oxygen content monitoring sensitivity limit of less than 0.36% was obtained in the system.

Based on the working principle of the hydraulic system for the working device of ZL60 wheel loader, the power bond graph of its hydraulic system is established by using the power bond graph method under the different working conditions. The power dynamic equations of the system is written out according to the established power bond graph and the Simulink simulation model has been established under the bucket backward operating condition on the basis of the power dynamic equations of the system. This simulation will be carried out by Setting the simulation parameters of the hydraulic system, applying the Simulink software and compiling the M function file. Through these studies, the performance curve of the hydraulic system can be obtained.

Considering the fractal characteristic of oilseed cake, the relationship between the permeability and the pore fractal dimension of peanut and sesame cake has been investigated. The microstructures of peanut and sesame cake under five applied pressures are measured by using stereo light microscope and Image-pro image analyzer. Using the box-counting method, the fractal dimensions of pore size distributions are measured. A mathematical model incorporated fractal dimension and permeability has been developed to predicate the permeability of compressed peanut and sesame under cold condition based upon combining Hagen-Poiseulle equation with Darcy’s law for flow of fluid through porous media. There is a prediction of permeability of peanut and sesame cake. Thus, a measurement is carried out for validation. The values of mean relative errors are 19.4% and 11.4 respectively. A fairly good agreement is obtained in the case of high applied pressure. And there exists a tendency that the value of the difference between the theoretical calculation and the permeability measurement decrease significantly with the increase of applied pressure.

According to the components, mechanical properties of difficult-to-process material (26NiCrMoV145)as well as characteristics of high-speed machining, modelling and prediction of cutting force in high-speed milling is studied. Based on geometry model of ball end mill edge line, milling force model of helical ball milling cutter is established by theoretical analysis and empirical coefficient. Then, simulation prediction of cutting forece is conducted under different circumstances. The experimental result shows that the predicted cutting force is consistent with experimental data and the established model is reasonable. The article contributes to the milling of difficult-to-process material, which improves security and productive efficiency in processing.

An identification method of spindle bearing fault based on rough sets theory is proposed in the article. By collecting bearing’s typical fault signal and using signal information processing techniques, vibration fault data is obtained. Then, equidistant clustering analysis method is introduced into discretization of experimental data of continuous attributes. In this way, vibration fault data table meets the requirement of rough sets data analysis. Besides, attribute importance algorithm is used in order to realize the reduction of condition attribute in the decision table. Thus, fault information which hidden in huge signal data is extracted. Therefore, simple and clear fault pattern rules are acquired. The result indicates that the method can realize fault pattern identification of spindle’s bearings and it is of great application value in practical fault pattern identification.

Compelled by the shortage of non-renewable energy and long-term development of society, the purpose of this study was to test the feasibility and possibility of the widespread of battery electric vehicles (BEV) to substitute fuel vehicles. “Life cycle cost” (LCC) model was used to compare the cost of electric vehicle and gasoline vehicle from 2009 to 2035 year assuming that the cost is charged by “per-mile-cost”. After 2019, the cost of EV will manifest its superiority. It was concluded that the vehicle manufactures should strive to improve the performance of battery technologically, especially the number of charge cycle first and the government can provide fuel tax or financial subsidy for costumes to buy EV or provide research fund to assist technological improvement to boost the widespread of EV

A new kind of cathode materials, Li3V2(PO4)3/C nanocomposites, has been prepared via one-step solid-state reaction using ultra low-cost asphalt as both reduction agents and carbon sources. The asphalt is contained 60.37% of fixed carbon and 0.18% of other impurity.It is purchased from Zhen jiang Xin Guang Metallurgical Subsidiary Material Plant. Structural analysis shows that the obtained Li3V2(PO4)3/C nanocomposites contain abundant Li3V2(PO4)3 nanorods and micro/nano particles encapsulate with carbon shells. The Li3V2(PO4)3/C nanocomposites achieve enhanced dischargeability, reversibility, and cycleability. Electrochemical tests show that the Li3V2(PO4)3/C nanocomposite has initial discharge capacities of 170 mAhg-1 at 0.1C in the voltage range of 3.0 to 4.8 V. The improved electrochemical properties of the Li3V2(PO4)3/C nanocomposites are attributed to the presence of Li3V2(PO4)3/C nanorods and the electronically conductive carbon shell. This one-step solid state reaction using low-cost asphalt as carbon sources is feasible for the preparation of the Li3V2(PO4)3/C nanocomposites which can offer favorable properties for commercial applications.

The overall three-dimensional parametric model of the crankshaft has been completed based on the ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL) from the software of ANSYS and by combing the structure analysis capability with the statistical analysis capability of its PDS module, the reliability analysis of Monte Carlo finite element method (FEM) will be achieved according to the finite element analysis technology and the reliability basic principles. The 4110 diesel engine crankshaft was taken as an example, the parametric design will be introduced into the finite element structure analysis to implement the rapid adjustment of the structure parameter, produce the anatomic model automatically and complete the process of the structural analysis and reliability analysis. The process that the reliability analysis of the crankshaft has been realized will be described in detail. According to the results of probability analysis, the sensitivity relation between the design variable and the object variable will be obtained and at the same time the maximum stress probability distribution function of these dangerous parts and the main affective factor for object variable will be given, which will offer the useful data for the structure reliability optimization design.

The motion performance of Spar platform and dynamic characteristics for the mooring lines under different mooring configurations have been studied both in static analysis and coupled dynamic analysis. First, 3D hydrodynamic finite element model is built and the effects of the mooring system are taken into account by giving the specified pre-tension, angle and stiffness of the mooring lines on the fairleads. And hydrodynamic analysis of Spar platform is performed by the way of utilizing potential flow theory in frequency domain in order to calculate the hydrodynamic coefficients. Then, static analysis is applied to obtain restoring stiffness curves for the mooring system, structure displacements and mooring line tensions etc.. At last, coupled time domain analysis of the motion response of Spar is conducted for the coupled system and the dynamic tensions of mooring lines are calculated. The research results can be served as a reference for the selection and the performance study for mooring systems during preliminary design.

In order to analyze the drainage performance of the pavement structure with permeable base course and edge drainage system, based on the theory of unsaturated seepage, the rainfall infiltration into the highway pavement is simulated numerically and the two-dimensional seepage analysis model is set up. The AASHTO evaluation index t50 is employed to evaluate the drainage performance. The results show that, in comparison with the pavement without internal drainage system, water can be drained away more rapidly from pavement structure with the permeable base course and edge drainage system and the volume water content in pavement is reduced effectively.

The 6012 type aerial work platform is mainly used in the construction of steel structure occasions, and the overall and local stability of the studies to ensure construction safety and reduce accidents are of great significance. In this paper, I apply finite element analysis software ANSYS to model the hydraulic legs, and conduct static structural analysis of the hydraulic legs for 6012 type aerial work platform. At last, I will calculate the maximum deformation of single hydraulic legs and maximum stress of the situation in the maximum stress conditions, compared with the theoretical values and the actual test results.

In order to make the reasonable cycle time, the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process)-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was applied to analyze the factors of affecting cycle time and the model feasibility was verified through a projecting example. With the development of the construction market, the project bidding is further regulative and extensive. In order to obtain more benefits, reducing project costs becomes very important to enterprise, so the construction quota which meets their own scale must be drawn up. All kinds of factors that would affect the cost will be measured, analyzed and evaluated by the construction quota, and the main quota difference is the measurable consumption, so it is important to make the quota of per hour construction machinery, while cycle time is the one of the main factors of affecting machinery quota [1, 2].

By using of Kuhn`s yield criterion, plasticity constitutive equations of extruded oilseeds in a closed cylinderical cell were developed. The model parameters were identified from experimental stress—strain using an inverse method. The maximum relative deviations between the measured and the simulated value of soybean and cottonseed are 8.5% and 5.1% respectively, and the average relative deviations are 4.9% and 3.8% respectively. The results of numerical simulation for confined pressing of granular soybeans and cottonseeds in the closed cylinderical cell indicated the following facts that granular soybeans and cottonseeds conform to the model of three power curve, the plasticity constitutive equations can describe the plastic deformation for extruded soybean and cottonseed, and Kuhn`s yield criterion can be used as theoretical basis for plasticity model of granular soybeans and cottonseeds.

The experiments for stress—strain and confined pressing of granular peanuts by uniaxial pressing were carried out. The results show that granular peanuts conform to the model of three power curve. By using of Kuhn`s yield criterion, plasticity constitutive equations of granular peanuts were developed. The model parameters were determined from experimental stress—strain curve using an inverse method. The maximum relative deviation between the measured and the simulated value of strain is 5.4%, and the average relative deviation is 3.5%. Results indicated that the plasticity constitutive equations can describe the plastic deformation for extruded peanut, and Kuhn`s yield criterion can be used as theoretical basis for plasticity model of granular peanuts.

To improve the permeate flux of ceramic membrane, commercial α-Al2O3 microfiltration membrane of 0.2 μm pore diameter was modified with SnO2 nano grains by in situ synthesis method. The permeate fluxes of the membrane for pure water and treating Fe(OH)2 suspensions were studied mainly in the paper. The results showed that the pure water stable permeate fluxes of unmodified and SnO2 modified microfiltration membranes were 0.61 m3h-1m-2 and 1.87 m3h-1m-2, respectively. When treating 1L 0.01 mol∙L-1 Fe(OH)2 suspensions, the permeate fluxes of SnO2 modified membrane was higher than that of unmodified membrane all the time and the clarified permeate was obtained. The results indicated that in situ synthesis method can be successfully used to modify α-Al2O3 microfiltration membrane with SnO2 nano grains for permeate flux increase, and the microfiltration membrane has excellent treatment effect on Fe(OH)2 suspensions. Furthermore, the enhancement mechanism of permeate flux of SnO2 modification microfiltration membrane was discussed initially.

It analyses different kinds of risk factors of real estate investment, and establishes a suit of scientific index system about the risk assessment of real estate investment. And this paper not only establishes the risk assessment model of real estate projects in view of fuzzy-synthetical evaluation, but also uses this model to make a risk assessment of Ganzhou Tianyue real estate project, showing the feasibility of the model by examples.

In view of the fact that dehulled rapeseed cake formed under cold pressing condition is a fractal structure, the relation between the permeability and the pore fractal dimension of dehulled rapeseed cake has been investigated using fractal geometry. The microstructures of dehulled rapeseed cake under six pressing pressures are measured by using scanning electronic microscope and Image-pro image analyzer. The fractal dimensions of pore size distributions are measured by the box-counting method. Combining Hagen-Poiseulle equation with Darcy’s law for flow of fluid through porous media, the relational expression of fractal dimension and permeability has been developed to predicate the permeability of compressed dehulled rapeseed cake under cold condition. The permeability experiments of dehulled rapeseed cake are also carried out in order to validate the predication model proposed in this study. The value of mean relative error is 15.5%. A fairly good agreement is obtained in the case of high pressing pressures.
