XVI. yüzyıl Osmanlı devrinin usta şair ve yazarlarından olan Gelibolulu Mustafa Âlî'nin kaleme aldığı son derece mühim eserlerinden biri de Mehâsinü'l-Edeb'dir. Bu eserinde, Mustafa Âlî, devrin siyasî anlayışı ve sosyal durumunu ele almıştır. Eser hem siyasî hem de ahlâkî özellikler gösterir. Âlî, Kayseri ilinin sancak beyi iken bu kitabı yazıp Sadrazam Damad İbrahim Paşa'ya sundu. Eser, ünlü Arap edib Câhiz'in Minhâcü's-Sülûk ilâ Adâbı Sohbeti'l-Mülûk adlı eserinden bazı yerleri çıkarılarak hazırlanmış ve dönemin siyasî ve sosyal durumuna göre gerekli bazı ilavelerin yapılması suretiyle yazılmış bir tercümesidir. Daha sonraki yıllarda Mehâsinü'l-Edeb adlı eser, İstanbul'da doğmuş ünlü divan şairlerinden olan Osmanzâde Tâib (ö. 1724) tarafından özetlenmiştir. Âdet, hâlet, ülfet, işret, himmet ve hikmet gibi konuları içeren bu eser toplam on beş fasıldan oluşmaktadır. The work has been prepared by taking some of the influencial portions of reknowned Arab litterateur Cahiz's Minhacu's-Suluk ila Adabi sohbeti'l-Muluk, a translation which was authored with some additions in accordance with the social and political conditions of that time. Günümüzde de eğitim kuram, strateji, yöntem ve tekniklerinde hızlı değişimler yaşanmaktadır. Bununla beraber eğitimde materyal kullanımı gitgide ağırlığını hissettirmektedir.Bu tezde eğitim alanındaki yeni gelişmelerle beraber `Din ve Ahlak` eğitiminde materyal kullanımının nasıl olması gerekir sorusuna özgün örneklerle cevap aranmaktadır. Today, rapid changes are taking place in educational theories, strategies, methods and techniques. However, the use of materials in education is becoming increasingly heavy.In this thesis, in addition to the new developments in the field of education, an answer is sought with original examples in order to ask how the use of material in `Religion and Morality` education should be. 141

Bu çalışmada XX. yüzyılda dünyaya gelen ve Balkanların siyasî sahnesinde silinmez izler bırakan Aliya İzzetbegoviç'in hayatı, yetiştiği coğrafya ile düşünce dünyasının oluşumu ve yapısı, siyaset, din tasavvuru konuları ele alınmaktadır.Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde XX. yüzyılda Bosna Hesek'teki siyasî hareketler ele alınmakta ve bununla beraber Aliya İzzetbegoviç'in gençlik çağından vefatına kadar ana hatlarıyla hayatına ve siyasî mücadelesine yer verilmektedir.İkinci bölümde Aliya İzzetbegoviç'in düşünce dünyasının oluşumunu etkileyen faktörler ve yazdığı eserlerinden yola çıkarak varlık, insan, ahlâk gibi kavramlar hakkındaki görüşleri incelenmektedir.Üçüncü bölümde semavi dinlerin, din-siyaset ilişkisine dair ortaya koydukları ve İzzetbegoviç'in din-siyaset ilişkisi ile ilgili düşünceleri değerlendirilmektedir. Bahsedilen üç bölümden sonra bu çalışma, sonuçta genel bir değerlendirme ile bitmektedir. This master`s thesis is considering life, exploring initial thoughts, the influence of enviroment on structural forms of these thoughts, and the way of understanding politics and religion of Alija Izetbegovic, born in the 20th century, in which he has left an unerasable and unforgetable trace on the political scene in the Balkans region.In the first part of the master's thesis, amongst political movements in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the 20th century, there are also fragments reviewing Alija Izetbegović's life; since his youth till his death, including his political struggles. Considering factors which influenced Alija Izetbegović's thoughts and his written works, the second part of the master's thesis, studies his thoughts about concepts like the sole purpose of existence, human itself and morals.Starting from the understanding and interpretation of religion and politics, the third part of the master's thesis is reviewing the relation between religion and politics, which has a key role on Alija Izetbegovic's world of thoughts. Regarding the third part, it is majorly reviewing the role of monotheistic religions and their increasing attention to politics.This master's thesis is summarized with a general conclusion. 144

Bu çalışma, 24-27 Eylül 2009 tarihleri arasında düzenlenen Uluslararası Davraz Kongresi’nde aynı isimle sunulan bildiriden faydalanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Günümüzde hızlı değişen çağdaş hayat tarzı, nesillerin birbiriyle iletişiminde farklılaşmaların ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Kuşaklar arası iletişim eksikliği her bir neslin kendisini toplumun bütününün bir parçası olarak değil, bir alt kültür olarak görmesine sebep olmuştur. Bu olumsuzlukları en az seviyeye indirgemek için din toplumunda iki ya da daha fazla yaş grubunun karşılıklı paylaşma yoluyla birlikte yaşamasına, öğrenmesine ve birlikte planlanmış eğitim etkinliklerine katılmasına daha fazla ihtiyaç duyulmuştur. Bu çalışmada nesiller arası formal ve informal din eğitimin imkânlarının neler olabileceği konusu ele alınmaktadır. In our time, the rapid-changing modern lifestyle brings along emergence of differences in communication between generations. Due to lack of communication between generations, each generation conceives itself as a subculture, and not a part of the society as a whole. In order to minimise such negative circumstances, there is a growing requirement for collective living, learning and participation in collectivelyplanned educational activities of two or more groups of age in a religious society. Hereby study investigates the possibility of intergenerational formal and informal education of religion.

Kültürlerarası din eğitimi, özellikle ülkemiz açısından oldukça yeni bir alandır. Türkiye’de ilk ve orta öğretim kurumlarında zorunlu bir ders olarak okutulan ve mezhepler üstü bir yaklaşımla öğretimi hedeflenen Din Kültürü ve Ahlâk Bilgisi (DKAB) dersinde, öğrencilerin diğer din ve kültürlerden de haberdar olmaları istenir. Bu maksatla, DKAB öğretmeni yetiştiren kurumlarda “Kültürlerarası Din ve Ahlak Öğretimi” dersi okutulmaktadır. Bu kitap, yazarların da ifade ettiği üzere, bu alanda ortaya çıkan yeni bir ihtiyaca cevap vermek üzere hazırlanan ders notlarının yeniden gözden geçirilmesi ile ortaya çıkmış bir çalışmadır.

Hannah Arendt, Yahudi kökenli bir Alman yurttaşı olarak II. Dünya Savaşı sürecinde Nazilerin güttüğü antisemitist siyasete ve Yahudi soykırımına tanıklık etmiş ve bütün bu olup bitene bir anlam verme gayretiyle kötülük problemi üzerine odaklanmıştır. Arendt’e göre, Naziler yalnızca Yahudilere değil bütün insanlığa karşı suç işlemiştir. Bu ise ahlâki anlamda kötülüğün ta kendisidir. Kötülüğün sebebini ortaya koymaya çalışan Arendt, Nazilerin işlediği suçların geleneksel kötülükten farklı olduğunu ve insanca anlaşılabilir sebeplerle açıklanamayacağı sonucuna varmış, bu yeni suç türünü “radikal kötülük” olarak adlandırmıştır. Sonrasında ise eski Nazi subayı Adolf Eichmann’ın işlediği savaş suçları nedeniyle Kudüs’teki yargılanma sürecine gözlemci sıfatıyla katılmış ve bu dava sürecinde kötülüğe ilişkin yeni bir açıklama geliştirerek “kötülüğün sıradanlığı” kavramını ileri sürmüştür. Bu bağlamda, kötülüğün kaynağı “düşünce yoksunluğu” eş deyişiyle “fikirsizlik”tir. Bu çalışmada, Arendt’in kötülük üzerine düşünceleri ele alınarak açıklanmaya çalışılacak ve kötülüğün epistemik boyutu tartışılacaktır. Although the evil and problem presented can be stated with theological or worldly concepts, it’s advised as that it’s a problem regarding understandability of the world as a whole in very deed. Consequently, it is belonging to neither ethic only nor metaphysics, but establishes a mutual relation between two of them. It’s arise from the distinction connected to being of evil in two forms as natural and moral or being considered, perception mainly. But two points of view are clarified regarding the evil without considering the form, away from Early Enlightenment up to the present and both of them are directed with ethic concern rather than epistemological concern. It’s emphasized that the point of view shaped with opinions of Rousseau and Hannah Arendt is quite insistent on making the evil understandable by morality, while the point of view shaped with opinions of philosophers as Voltaire and John Améry defends that morality doesn’t demand making the evil comprehensible (Neiman 2006: 18-19). Even if Arendt’s point of view shaped with epistemological concerns even though, it has epistemological conception concerning the evil in point of being insistent in comprehensibleness. Hannah Arendt as Jewish-origin German citizen bear witness to antisemitism that adopted Nazi’s and Jewish genocide during the II World War and focused on the problem of evil with a sense-making will to all what was happening. According to Arendt, Nazi’s fell from grace against the whole humanity, not only Jewish people. So this is the epitome of evil in moral terms. Arendt who tries to prove the reason of evil, concluded that the offenses committed by Nazi’s were different from traditional evil and these can’t be explained with comprehensible reasons humanely and called this new kind of offense as “radical evil”. Later on he got involved in prosecution process as an observer in Kudüs due to war crimes committed by Nazi officer Adolf Eichmann and by developing new statement regarding the evil during this claim, brought forward “the banality of evil” concept. In this regard, the source of evil is “thoughtlessness” with co saying “absence of thinking”. In this research, it’ll be tried to explain the thoughts of Arendt upon the evil by discussing them and to be talked epistemic dimension of the evil.

Halkın elinde bulundurduğu kamusal güç olarak tanımını yapabileceğimiz demokrasi kavramı insanların her dönemde ilgilendiği ve içeriğine farklı anlamlar yüklediği bir kavram olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Söz konusu kavramı felsefe alanda tartışan ve kavramla ilgili oluşan sorunlara yönelik yanıt denemesine girişen Platon demokratia kavramını diğer yönetim biçimleri (timarkhia, oligarkhia, patriarkhia, tyranlık) arasındaki dönüşümlere bağlı olarak ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele almıştır. Bu çalışmada Platon’un demokratia anlayışını temellendirmek üzere filozofun demokrasiye ilişkin kaygılarını daha iyi anlayabilmek için demokratia kavramının Eski Yunan’da nasıl bir düşünce -eylem alanı bulduğuna değinilecek ve buna bağlı olarak kavramın felsefi alanda filozofun eserlerinde nasıl tartışıldığı Devlet, Devlet Adamı ve Yasalar diyalogları temel diyaloglar olarak ele alınarak araştırılacaktır. Çalışmamızda ileri sürülecek tez ise Platon’un demokratia karşıtı bir tavır sergilemesidir. Her ne kadar düşünür, olgunluk ve yaşlılık olarak ifade edebileceğimiz dönemlerinde yer yer demokratia’ya yönelik ılımlı bir tavır içine girse de söz konusu yönetim biçiminin toplumu yozlaşmaya götüreceğini de ısrarla vurgulamaktadır. Democracy, which could be defined as the power of the folk appears to be a concept that have interested people of every age and have gained different meanings. Plato, while discussing this concept in philosophy and trying to answer the problems about it has handled the concept of democratia in detail, according to the transformations between the administration forms (timocracy, tyranny, oligarchy, patriarchy). According to Plato, the democratia as an existing regime will lead the society to political corruption. At this point, it should be made a discrimination between the concepts of conversion and degeneration. Though conversion which makes something into object a process is a concept that is inquired into epistemological and ontological basis, degeration which isn’t comply with principle concerning existence is concept inquired into ethics basis. Research about democratia is a concept which should be inquired into both epistemological-ontological and ethics basis. The reason for conversion (metaboleus, eos) and degeration (etheo; etho) in the democratic governance arises from equality and liberty which go overboard in public. On that sense democratia is similar to anarchy. İn fact people (man) is sceptreless, free, uncircumscribed, but man: equal unclassed, tribeless, and nationless, exempt from awe, worship, degree, the king over himself. Society which goesthe rounds anarchy falls short of one’s goal. This goal arises from concepts of eudaimonia (happiness) and ethos (ethics). The goal is toreach a just society. İf anarchism sways in a social, the social will fall short of one’s goals. This goal come out concepts of eudaimonia and ethos. The goal is to reach a virtous society, just. Even though it isn’t possible to reach entirely this in sensible universe, it should be created the closest of government to the ideal form of community.

Bu araştırma, Bursa'daki çeşitli okullarda görev yapmakta olan öğretmenlerden tesadüfî olarak seçilen 521 öğretmen üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, dindarlık ile ahlâki olgunluk arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, dindarlıkla ve din eğitimi ile ilgili değişkenler bağımsız değişken, ahlâki olgunluk ise, bağımlı değişken olarak ele alınmış ve aralarındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Ayrıca demografik değişkenler (cinsiyet, yaş, sosyo-ekonomik düzey, mezun olunan lise türü ve medeni durum) ile ahlâki olgunluk arasındaki ilişkiler, dini yönelim açısından incelenmiştir. Genel tarama modelinde yürütülen araştırmada, veri toplama aracı olarak, Şengün ve Kaya (2007) tarafından geliştirilen Ahlâki Olgunluk Ölçeği, Allport ve Rose tarafından geliştirilmiş ve Gürses tarafından Türkçeye uyarlama çalışması yapılmış Dindarlık Ölçeği ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Kişisel Bilgi Anketi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda iç-güdümlü dindarların yüksek bir ahlâki olgunluk düzeyine sahip olduğu, demografik değişkenlerin bu düzey üzerinde anlamlı bir farklılaşma oluşturmadığı, din eğitimi değişkeninin ise, anlamlı bir fark yarattığı tespit edilmiştir. This study is carried out randomly on 521 teachers who are employing at various schools in Bursa. The purpose of this study is to observe the relationship between religiousity and moral maturity. In the direction of this purpose; the variables between religiosity and religious education are studied as independent variables and moral maturity is studied as a dependent variable. And also the relationship between them is obseved. In addition, the relations between demographic variables (gender, age, sociaeconomic status, marital status, high school graduation…etc) and moral maturity are observed and the religious orientation is taken into consideration also. General scanning method was used in this research; the data has been obtained by `Moral Maturity Scale`developed by Şengün ve Kaya (2007)and, `Religiosity Scale` developed by Allport ve Rose and adapted into Turkish by Gürses and,`Individual Acknowledgement Questionnaire` developed by the researcher. As a result of this study we determine that; intrinsic religious people have a high moral maturity, the demographic variables are not so effective on this high moral maturity and it is determined that the variable of religious education has an effective difference on the subject. 132

Lawrence Kohlberg (1927-1987); felsefe, psikoloji, sosyoloji, antropoloji ve eğitim başta olmak üzere pek çok alana hâkim olan; en belirgin olarak da bilişsel ahlak gelişimi teorisiyle tanınan bir bilim insanıdır. Ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde Kohlberg üzerine yapılan çalışmalara bakıldığında, genellikle Kohlberg’in ahlak gelişim teorisi üzerinde durulduğu; ahlak eğitimine ilişkin yaptığı çalışmalarınsa gölgede kaldığı görülür. Oysa Kohlberg, ahlak eğitiminin gerek teorik, gerekse pratik alanına oldukça önemli katkılarda bulunmuş ve geleneksel ahlak eğitimi yaklaşımlarına karşı geliştirilen çağdaş ahlak eğitiminin en seçkin isimlerinden biri olmuştur. İşte bu makalede Kohlberg’in kısaca hayatı, ahlak eğitimine ilişkin görüşleri ve uygulamaları ele alınacak ve bir ahlak eğitimcisi olarak tanıtılmaya çalışılacaktır. Lawrence Kohlberg (1927-1987) is a scholar who has comprehensive knowledge of many fields especially philosophy, psychology, sociology, anthropology and education, and who is known clearly for cognitive moral development theory. Having looked at the works in national and international scale which are done on Kohlberg, it is seen generally that his moral development theory has been emphasized and that his moral educational works have been neglected. In fact Kohlberg has contributed quite significantly to moral education both its theoretical and practical aspects, and he became one of the outstanding figures of contemporary moral education, which has been developed against the traditional moral developmental approaches. Here in this paper Kohlberg’s life, his remarks on moral education and his practices will be handled, and Kohlberg will be introduced as a moral educator.

Tasavvuf geleneğinin önde gelen temsilcilerinden biri olan Gazâlî en yüksek ideal olan marifeti elde etme yolunda ahlâkî arınmanın temel şart olduğunu kabul etmiştir. Nitekim onun başyapıtı niteliğinde olan `İhyâu Ulûmiddin`de söz konusu görüşü bütün detaylarıyla ortaya konmuştur. Bu tezin konusu, Gazâlî'nin düşüncesinde marifet-ahlâk arasındaki ilişkidir. Müellifimizin gerek ahlâk gerekse marifet boyutuyla tasavvufî tecrübeyi nasıl tasvir ettiği, söz konusu iki boyut arasında nasıl bir ilişki kurduğu incelenmiştir. Öncelikle Gazâlî'nin ahlâk görüşü ana hatlarıyla ele alınmış ve müellifimizin uygulanmasını gerekli gördüğü yöntemler konu edilmiştir. Ahlâkî arınma sürecinin her bir aşaması üzerinde tek tek durulmuş, süreç içerisindeki yeri ve önemi vurgulanmıştır. Dolayısıyla tasavvuf düşüncesinin temel kavramları olan tevbe, sabır, şükür, havf, recâ, fakr, zühd, ihlâs vb. birçok kavrama Gazâlî'nin bakışı irdelenerek konunun ana çatısı oluşturulmuştur.Tasavvuf ehli tarafından iç tecrübe ile vasıtasız olarak elde edilen marifet, duyu organları ve akıl aracılığıyla sahip olunan bilgiden daha üstün görülmüş ve gerçek bilginin de söz konusu bilgi türü olduğu ileri sürülmüştür. Bu çerçevede Gazâlî'nin marifeti nasıl tanımladığı, ne kadar önem atfettiği üçüncü bölümün esasını oluşturmaktadır. Marifetle ilgili kavramlar olan ilham, keşif, yakîn ve müşahede de konumuz açısından önemlidir. Marifetin elde edilmesi ile gerçekleşecek olan, Allah'a yakınlık, O'na duyulan sevgi, O'nunla bütünleşme ve gerçek mutluluğa ulaşma gibi hususlar mahabbet, kurb, tevhid, fena ve saadet gibi terimleri karşımıza çıkarmış ve son bölüm bu kavramlar etrafında oluşmuştur Ghazali who is one of the most prominent figures in the tradition of tasavvuf accepts moral purification as a basic necessity for obtaining the ma?rifa that is the ultimate ideal. In fact, he explains this idea with all details in his masterpiece called ?Ihyau Ulumiddin?. The argument of this thesis is the relationship between ma?rifa and ethics in the philosophy of Ghazali. It is studied how Ghazali describes the mistic experience in both dimensions; moral and marife, and how he establihes the relationship between these two dimensions. First, Ghazali?s philosophy of ethics is examined in general, and the methods that he considers as necessary is analyzed. Each stage in the process of moral purification is argued, and their importance in this process is emphasized. The main perspective of this thesis is established by considering Ghazali?s philosophy about the basic concepts of tasavvuf such as repentance (tawba), patience (sabr), gratitude (shukr), fear (khawf), hope (raj?), poverty (faqr), asceticism (zuhd), sincerity (ikhl?s) etc.The mystics believe that the marife which is obtained by inner experience without any agent is much better than the knowledge that is given by senses and mental ability, and they argue that the ma?rifa is the actual knowledge. Furthermore, how Ghazali defines the ma?rifa, and how he emphasizes its importance is argued in the third part of the thesis. The concepts are related to the ma?rifa such as inspiration (ilh?m), intuition (kashf), certainty (yaq?n), and seeing (mush?hada are also important for the thesis. The subjects that is achieved by obtaining the marife such as the nearness of God, the love of God, the unity with God, and reaching to the real happiness bring other concepts to the consideration such as love (mahabba), nearness (qurb), God?s unity (tawvh?d), annihilation (fan?) and happiness (sa??dat),and these concepts are argued in the last part of the thesis. 370

Bu çalışmanın amacı Nietzsche’nin düşüncesinde insani ilgiler, bilgi ve pratik arasındaki ilişkinin ne şekilde analiz edildiğini göstermek ve bu analizin onun soykütüksel ahlak araştırmasıyla ilişkisini açığa çıkarmaktır. Nietzsche epistemolojiyi sadece akademik bir araştırma alanı olarak görmez. Ona göre epistemoloji daha ziyade bizim antropolojik ilgilerimiz ve ahlaksal yönelimlerimizle ilgili pratik bir meseledir. Aynı şekilde epistemolojiler arasındaki farklar akademik bir tartışma meselesi değildir, o daha ziyade farklı insan tipleri arasında var olma mücadelesi olarak ortaya çıkan politik bir meseledir. Nietzsche bilgi hakkındaki soykütüksel araştırmasının kendisine kazandırdığı epistemolojik ve ahlaksal bir yaklaşımdan hareketle, hem epistemolojinin bir tahakküm mekanizması haline gelebileceğini hem de politik çatışmalarımızın zemininde ahlaksal ve epistemik tutumlarımızın yattığını gösterir. The aim of this article is to show that how the relation of human interests, knowledge, and practice are analyzed in Nietzsche’s thought and to reveal the relationships of this anlaysis with his inquiries of geneology of morals. According to Nietzsche, epistemology is not only an academic topic. In his view, it is a practical matter concerned with our human interests and moral orientations. Similarly, the differences between epistemologies are not only a matter of academical dispute, but are rather a political matter which it rise up as the battle of survival between different human types. Stemming from a critical and moral aprroach which he gained through genealogy of knowledge, Nietzsche shows both epistemology may become a mechanism of domination and at the basis of our political struggles lie our moral and epistemic conduct.

Değer, ahlâk felsefesinin en önemli kavramlarından biridir. Değer, insan davranışlarının iyi mi, kötü mü olduğunu anlamak için başvurulan kriterdir. Şüphesiz insan bir değerler varlığıdır. Onun hayatını anlamlı kılan, sahip olduğu değerlerdir. Ancak, özellikle son yüzyılda değer yargılarımızda dikkati çeken değişimler ve bozulmalar yaşanmaktadır. Bu, büyük ölçüde dinî ve ahlâkî kimliğimizdeki kaymaların sonucudur. Bu çalışma, değer yargılarımızdaki iyileşmenin, dinî ve ahlâkî kimliğimizi koruma ile yakından ilişkili olduğunu ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Value is one of the most important key terms of ethics. Value is also the criterion which is used to find out if the human behavior is good or not. No doubt human beings consist of values. Things which make his/her life meaningful are values. However, in our century, changes and corruptions have been taking place in our moral values. The exact reason for this is the change on moral and religious identity. This article tries to prove that improvement in moral values has a strong relation with maintaining religious and moral identity.

İhvân-ı Safâ, onuncu yüzyılda yaşamış, dinî, felsefî ve ahlâkî yönleri ağır basan bir bilgin ve filozoflar grubunun adıdır. Düşüncelerinde özellikle Yeni Platonculuk ve Yeni Pythagorasçılık etkili olmuştur. Bundan dolayı düşünceleri eklektik bir yapıya sahiptir. Bu grup, ansiklopedik nitelikte yazdıkları elliiki risâle bırakmışlardır. Er-Risâletü'l-Câmia ise bu risâlelerin özeti durumundadır. İhvan'ın düşüncelerini bu risâlelerden öğreniyoruz.İhvan'ın felsefesinin insan merkezli olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. İnsanın ?küçük alem? olduğu düşüncesi, risâlelerde geniş olarak işlenir. ?Kendini bilme? İhvan'da ahlâkî bilginin temelini oluşturur. Sonra da bu bilgi mistik, ve metafizik bilgiye kapı aralar. Kendini bilen insan, arzu ve yeteneklerinin farkında demektir; arzularını kontrol altına alması ve yeteneklerini doğru kullanması kolaylaşır. Bunu başardığı takdirde ise o, ?Allah'ın halifesi? olmaya adaydır. Bu, hem ahlâkî, hem dinî, hem de mistik açıdan insan için üstün bir derecedir.İhvan, ahlâkın yaratılıştan getirdiğimiz bir boyutu olduğunu kabul etmekle beraber, onun eğitim-öğretim ve tecrübe ile değişebileceği ve güzelleştirilebileği kanaatindedir. Fıtrî ve kazanılmış ahlâk ayrımı bunu ifade eder.Ahlâk ile din, felsefe ve tasavvuf arasında yakın bir ilişki gören İhvan, mutlu insanı; bir bakıma ?bu üç alanda da yetkinleşmiş kişi? olarak tanımlar. Zaten onlara göre hayır da ?mutluluk?tan başka bir şey değildir. Ikhwan al-Safa is a name used to call a group of scientists and philosophers. This group whose works contain religious, philosophical and moral themes lived in tenth century. Neoplatonist and NeoPythagorasian affects can be seen in Ikhwan al-Safa clearly. So their thoughts have an eclectic character.Ikhwan al-Safa wrote 52 epistles. Al-Risala al-Camia is a summary of these epistles.The main subject of Ikhwan al-Safa?s philosophy is man. The thought of ?man is a microcosmos? is frequently declared in this group?s epistles. According to Ikhwan al-Safa ?knowing himself? is the ground of morality.Thus, this knowledge opens the door to mystical and metaphysical knowledge. The man who knows himself, knows also his desires and faculties.Ikhwan al-Safa sees a powerful correlation between morality, religion, philosophy and mysticizm. Bu çalışma 26-28 ekim 2007 tarihinde Bursa İl Müftülüğü ile U.Ü. İlâhiyat Fakültesinin ortaklaşa düzenlediği Uluslararası Katılımlı İbn Hazm Sempozyumunda özet olarak sunulan bildirinin genişletilmiş halidir. Bu çalışma İbn Hazm’ın ahlâka ilişkin düşüncelerini ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir. Düşünürün ahlâka dair temel eseri, “Müdâvâtü’n-Nüfûs”tur. Eser, el-Ahlâk ve’s-Siyer adıyla da bilinmektedir. İbn Hazm bu eserde genel anlamda hayata, özel anlamda da ahlâka ilişkin tecrübelerini dile getirmiştir. Ona göre felsefenin amacı; nefsi eğiterek insanı erdemli kılmak, ona dünya ve ahiret mutluluğunu kazandırmaktır. Dinin amacı da bundan farklı bir şey değildir. Bu durumda felsefe ile dinin, ahlâkî misyonları itibariyle örtüştüğü anlaşılmaktadır. İbn Hazm insan tabiatının ahlâkî açıdan önemini vurgulamakla beraber, akıllı insanı, “temyiz gücünün gerekli gördüğü şeyleri yerine getiren kimse” olarak tanımlar. Ahlâktaki “dört erdem” üzerinde geniş olarak durur, ancak dinî bir yaklaşımla Allah’ın ve Resulünün emirlerinin bütün erdemleri kapsadığını ifade eder. Ayrıca o, iyi insanlarla dostluğun, erdemlere sahip olmadaki olumlu katkısını belirtir. Eserinde zaman zaman ahlâkî öğütlere de yer verir. This article aims at introducing Ibn Hazm’s thoughts on ethics. His main work on ethics is “Mudavat al-Nufus”, which is also known as “al-Akhlaq wa as-Siyar”. In this work Ibn Hazm narrates his experiences about life in general and ethics in particular. According to him the aim of philosophy is to make a person virtuous by training his soul and therefore make him gain both earthy and eternal felicity. At this point, the aim of religion is not different at all. Thus it is obvious that philosophy and religion coincide with each other in terms of ethical purposes. While stressing importance of human nature in ethics, Ibn Hazm defines “reasonable person” as one who executes his duties which his faculty of distinction (quwwa al-tamyiz) necessitates. Elaborately dealing with “four virtues” in ethics, he indicates, with a religious approach, that commands of Allah and His Prophet cover all moral virtues. Moreover he indicates that friendship with good people contributes well to be virtuous. In his work he mentions some moral advices as well.

Genel anlamda 'akıl kavramı her zaman için felsefenin temel konularından olmuştur. Ancak; tarihsel süreçle beraber kavramı biraz derinleştirdiğimizde. kavrama farklı anlamlar kazandırıldığını görebiliriz. "Görmek" derken gerçek anlamından bahsediyorum; nitekim, aklın en değerli hakkımız olan yaşamımızı şekillendirmede öncelikli rol oynadığını düşündüğümüzde, bu anlam farklılıklarinın günlük yaşantımıza etkileri daha önemli hale gelir. Bu bağlamda Nietzsche modern kabullerin aksine insan – hakikat ilişkisini sanatsal yaratı çerçevesine katarak genel felsefesinin aktif ve dinamik yaşam öğretisine paralel biçimde yeniden inşa eder. Nietzsche'nin felsefesinin bu yönünden hareketle onun felsefesini yalnızca bir karşı çıkış felsefesi olarak görmek, Nietzsche'nin felsefesini anlamamak ya da daha iyimser bir dille ifade edecek olursak, eksik anlamak anlamına gelir. Nietzsche yapmış olduğu eleştirilerde ve yorumlarda sadece durum tespiti yapmakla kalmaz, aynı zamanda eleştiriye konu ettiği metafizik geleneğin bir şeceresini de çıkarır. Bu makaledeki görüşler felsefe sahnesine büyük ölçüde hakim olan çağdaş din felsefesi anlayışlarından biriyle ilgilidir. Günümüz felsefesi yüzyılın başında Gotîlob Frege, Bertrand Russel ve Ludwig Wittgenstem’m, çalışmalarıyla öncülük ettikleri “lengüistik dönemeç”in (passmore) çeşitli etkilerine maruz kalmıştır. Bu dönemeçten yeni bir felsefe anlayışı, analitik felsefe doğmuştur. Bu felsefeyi “dil felsefesi” kavramıyla özdeşleştirmemeliyiz. Analitik felsefenin sonucunu din felsefesi açısından değerlendirmek istersek, her şeyden önce “analitik felsefe” teriminin çok çeşitli görüşleri içerdiğini hiç unutmamak gerekir? Problemimizle ilgili olarak, söz konusu “lengüistik dönemeç”i şimdilik, düşünülebilir alanı söylenebilirin analiziyle smırlamak diye tanımlayabiliriz.

İlimlerin sayım ve tasnifi asırlardan beri alim ve filozofların üzerinde durdukları meselelerden biri olagelmiştir. Aristo, ilimleri Nazarî, Amelî ve Şiir diye üçe ayırdıktan sonra bunların alt başlıklarını ve gayelerini de tespit etmiştir. Ona göre bilgi ve gerçekleri anlamayı hedefleyen Nazarî İlimler Riyaziye, Tabiiyyat ve İlâhiyyat adıyla üç ana kola ayrılır. Ahlâk ve Siyaset ilimlerini ihtiva eden Amelî ilimlerin gayesi ise iyiliktir. Güzelliği arayan şiir ve güzel sanatlar hitabet ve cedeli de ihtiva etmektedir. Bizim burada araştıracağımız konu, İslâm dünyasında yapılan tasniflerde tasavvufun yeridir. İlk dönemlerde tasavvuf kelimesi kullanılmadığı için ilgili tasniflerde de bu kelime yer almayacak demektir. Ancak tasavvufa çok yakın yönleri olan Ahlâk ilminin tarihî macerasına bakmak konuya ışık tutacaktır.
