The Instituto Federal Goiano Campus Ceres is part of an ecotone formed by the Cerrado and the Atlantic Forest, with a wide variety of phytophysiognomies, covering and allowing to find a vast diversity of birds. Observing this fact, this work aimed to identify the birds found on the Ceres campus, as well as to analyze the similarity of different phytophysiognomies, seasonality and classify the trophic guild. The survey methodology was carried out by continuous observation of the birds present in 12 different fixed points on the campus. 117 species of birds were cataloged at the site, most of which are omnivorous, resident or probable resident in open areas. The Shannon-Wienner (H') diversity index in the present study was 3.41 in open areas (anthropized) and 2.91 in closed forest areas (Ver o Rio trail), confirming that the species richness is significant. With the study carried out, it can be concluded that the diversity index on the Campus is high, characterizing the sampled location as an area where birds use as a source of food/shelter/reproduction.
