Background: The nervous system causes different types of neurobehavior, depending on the circumstances and environment children are dealing with. These reactions can be seen in neonatal behavior, conscious awareness, motor systems, reflexes, and biologied processes. However, such reactions might be altered when there is a disease or immaturity of the nervous system of children. Therefore, it is important to assess such behavior in zeroto two-month-old infants in the neonatology area of Homero Castanier Crespo Hospital. General objective: To assess the neonatal behavior of zero- to two-month-old infants admitted to Homero Castanier Hospital using the Brazelton scale. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional descriptive study. To tabulate and analyze data, SPPS software and Microsoft Excel application were used. A database was created. To analyze quantitative variables, measures of central tendency were used, that is, mean, mode, and median. Results: In regard to thirty-seven- to forty- one- week-old infants, 68% of them scored 6 to 8 points, meaning average score. Forty-two percent of the population younger than 36 weeks scored 5 points regarding in-process behavior. In regard to reflexes, there was a normal response, showing percentages from 73.3% to 983%. Conclusions: After the assessment, the main conclusion is that the younger the gestational age of the infants, the more evident is the alteration of their neonatal behavior.
