- Abstract
This project aims to develop a multi-measurement platform for the rehabilitation of disabled people at home. The main objective is to have a portable and low-cost system that is able to measure as many physiological parameters as possible, so that the sessions can be performed at home. Also, the platform is going to be scalable and open, with the aim to design personalized rehabilitation applications in a quick and easy way. To do this, we worked with different systems to do the measurements: Emotiv EPOC X headset to obtain Electroencephalogram (EEG); BITalino board to obtain electrocardiogram (ECG), electrodermal activity (EDA), accelerometer (ACC) and respiration; and lastly a webcam for monitoring the eye blink. We are going to process the signals and apply algorithms to get the correct measurements. Once we have all the signals, we developed a LabView platform consisting on three modules of acquisition: BITalino, EEG and eye blink. To design personalized applications, we are going to use the aforementioned modules to select which signals we want to use depending on the rehabilitation process we want to do. At the end of the project, we have achieved to verify the correct acquisition of all the signals we aimed to obtain. The designed platform in LabView integrates these signals and allows us to create new applications easily due to its scalability. We proved this by producing two rehabilitation applications: Mind Room and Music Room, thanks to which we could validate the system and assess its comfortability and effectiveness to be used at home.
